The video for "Northern Lights", from my album 'One Way Ticket (Travelling Lighter)' is out now.

For a long time I felt the 'One Way Ticket' album, my debut from 2006, needed updating, both lyrically and musically. I haven't had the chance yet to do that but playing some of the songs out on the streets throughout 2017 I realised there should be a stripped back version of this album available as people were hearing me play the songs this way.

So at the start of 2018 I began recording. Initially I was going to make it all acoustic but felt it would be more interesting to use the electric guitar on some songs and also to come up with slightly different arrangements. "Now & Then" transformed from the blues-rock type of thing on the original into a folky fingerpicked track. "Come & Go" returned to its roots on acoustic guitar, as it was originally written. "Satellites" became "Northern Lights" on a 12-string electric.

These 12 songs I feel have now grown with me and I will develop this further with a full band arrangement of them somewhere down the line.
