We couldn’t afford a Stingray so I built one using my old child’s bike, stripped it down to just the frame, chain, pedals, and wheel rims. Bought Stingray handle bars (with no grips of any kind just bare metal) and a special order white tuck and roll banana seat. Used a “knobby” tire on the front and a drag slick on the back. It was what would be called a bomber bike today. Got the lowest score during school bike safety day, I was so proud.

Dear Gus & Magnus,

Mom worked today, but Yiayia came over in time to go with us to soccer and stayed the rest of the day, which made things fun. After soccer we went to Shipley's for doughnuts, then to the Kanis Park playground until the sun came out and made the heat less tolerable.

We ate Kroger sushi on the front porch for dinner. You are both head over heels for sushi these days -- Mom and I are so proud.
