VAHAN and SARATHI- objectives, services and benefits

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) facilitated the computerization of over 1300 Road Transport Offices (RTOs) across the country through the VAHAN and SARATHI software. The RTOs issue the Registration Certificate (RC) of vehicles and the Driving License (DL) for people which are valid mandatory documents for any vehicle owner in India.

The MoRTH entrusted the National Informatics Centre (NIC) with standardizing and deploying two software, i.e. VAHAN for Vehicle Registration and SARATHI for Driving Licenses. These two applications conceptualized the functionalities mandated under the Central Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, and the State Motor Vehicle Rules with the feature of customization in the primary product to suit the requirements of all states and UTs. They compile the data relating to the RC and DL of all the states in the National and State Registers.

Flock II - Bex Burch & co., out today from Strut Records; serendipitously similar in approach and aesthetic to the previous new release I posted (Yaryu)

UK supergroup Flock return with their anticipated sophomore album ‘Flock II’. Comprising an exceptional line-up featuring Bex Burch (fresh from her debut solo album on International Anthem), Sarathy Korwar, Tamar Osborn (Collocutor, Dele Sosimi, Unknown To Known), Danalogue (The Comet Is Coming / Soccer96) and Al MacSween (Kefaya), the new recordings showcase Flock’s ability to push the boundaries of the composition process and craft unique tracks based on their collective spirit. Recorded amidst the serene landscapes of the Welsh countryside during 2022, 'Flock II' emerges as a compelling departure from their debut album, which was captured in a single day at London's Fish Factory. Nestled within the enchanting environs of the Druidstone, a mystical coastal retreat in West Wales, the group embarked on an immersive week-long recording session. Here, they crafted unique "jump-off" devices for each musical piece, drawing inspiration from unconventional structures and atmospheres. From diagrams utilising shapes and repeated patterns to a revolving lamp throwing out dappled light and a mobile app creating intense strobe effects in front of each musician, each device set a state of mind and a unique approach to their compositions. Studio Owz, housed in a converted country church, provided an ideal setting for their creative exploration. The resulting compositions, ranging from intense to hypnotic, invite listeners to embark on a deeply personal voyage, weaving their own narratives amidst the ethereal soundscape. The fruits of a strong and joyful bond between five of the UK’s finest musicians, ‘Flock II’ stands as another essential recording without genre or category. Cover artwork illustration is courtesy of the brilliant Muhammad “Rofi” Fatchurofi, providing the ideal nebulous artistic foil to Flock’s creation.

The Sarathi Seva Parivahan A brand-new website called Sarathi Sewa was created by the Ministry of Roads, Transport, and Highways. Candidates obtaining a driving license in India are required to first get a learner's permit.

On this website, you may find information about every vehicle owned by Parivahan Sewa. States like Sarathi Parivahan Haryana, Delhi, Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujarat, and the United States of America can choose from a variety of possibilities. 2. Sarathi Sewa Services

The National Information Centre (NIC) has produced software for all Indian states. The VAHAN portal for vehicle registration and Sarathi for online DL applications have helped to relieve congestion at the transportation department and have made accountability and openness possible.

Sarathi Parivahan of the Ministry assigned the NIC the task of standardizing and implementing the software VAHAN for vehicle registration and SARATHI for driving licenses, as well as the compilation of data regarding vehicle registration and driving licenses of all the states in the State Register and National Register.

The Sarathi Parivahan Sewa program's main objective is to provide the transportation department and the general public with improved service for chores linked to car registration and driver's licenses. Adoption of this plan will permit the sporadic quick execution of government initiatives.

4. The Sarathi Parivahan Portal's advantages

Using this service, citizens of the country can submit an online driving license application from the convenience of their homes.

An expired driver's license can be renewed through the Sarathi Parivahan portal.

A kind of identification is also a driver's license.

With the help of the Sarathi Portal, a driving school license (DSL) can be obtained.

After submitting an online application, you can use this portal to track the status of your driving license.

Duplicate driver's licenses can also be created using this service.

6. Mparivahan App

Things are evolving and expanding quickly in the digital age. As our nation develops and becomes more digital, it is referred to as "Digital India." The Ministry of Roads and Highways has introduced the Mparivahan application or

Mparivahan app to give citizens improved access to services via mobile applications from the government.

Residents can now easily access online services or resources associated with the highway transport offices, as well as all active RC/DL numbers, from any location and at any time thanks to the Mparivahan application status.

More than 1300 RTO offices have been mechanized via the Mparivahan App. People now have simpler access to first-rate facilities as a result of the road transportation industry's digitalization.

The following information about your automobile may be viewed by simply entering the vehicle number into the Mparivahan app after it has been loaded.

Sooooo, I just managed to watch the whole of Kalki-2898AD in one sitting today.

And what a masterpiece!!!!!

I know that reviews about the movie have been mixed, (Arshad Warsi, eyes on you, man👀👀👀) but amongst the abundant comedic relief, were to me atleast, many buried little Easter eggs and clues that only someone with a knowledge of the Mahabharata, and someone willing to look with a more thoughtful eye will catch!

Bhairava's whole characterisation is the single most largest example of this! After Ashwathama's first little flashback, the suspicion of Bhairava being Karna began to itch at me, because who else could be a greater warrior than Arjuna on the field of the Kurukshetra battle?

The first similarity I found was this.... The way Bhairava has spent a large portion of his life trying to enter an elite society simply because he believes that the circumstances he was born to are not the determiners of his capacity. The way he almost KNOWS in his heart, that he has a fate larger than this coming for him, yet blinds himself into believing that it is life at the Complex! The first mistake that Karna committed in his life is the same. His first step into adharma, was brought about by his desire to be considered equal amongst the Kshatriya warriors of the Kuru clan. To not be limited by the circumstances of his birth or upbringing as the son of a sarathi....

The second clue to me, was his attachment to Bujji!!! This one is less of a parallel, and more of an indirect clue as to the background Bhairava might have, though. Karna was the son of a charioteer, who was expected to be one too, and strongly disliked the idea of being forced to be one when his interests lay in becoming a warrior that people spoke of even eons later. And at the end of the epic war, it is his chariot again, and the kshatriya king Shalya as his charioteer that pave the way to his death! The first time Ashwathama hurls Bujji and Bhairava loses yet again, this was straight where my mind went.

Then, there are the more subtle character nuances. Karna in his time, was considered a warrior second to none, and yet people often only acknowledged him as an equal to Arjuna. And in one modern iteration of the Mahabharata that I'm not sure where I read it, Krishna says that while Arjuna competes with himself, looking only to better himself, Karna strives to be better than Arjuna. And in that, he holds himself back to Arjuna's level. A clear sign of a hyper competitive person, is that not? And the first time we see any sort of a serious don't mess with me attitude from Bhairava, is when he is losing. When he has lost. And so goes his patience with the wind, his need to be undefeated, to WIN leading him to his following chaotic course of action...

And finally, the centrepoint of Karna's story, his Identity.... Karna's whole story, his cause and consequence, his curse and his many boons, are the result of his birth, and the way it was hidden from him. Bhairava too, seems to have an origin story that he either does not know, or does not remember, instead covering it up with comedic relief sob stories (according to Bujji, not me!!!) of adoption and a Captain father, which Dulquer was sooooooooo cute in his 10 minutes of screentime! Does Bhairava have a Radha too, who brought him up as a bosom son and he refuses to give up her memory to anyone? Why at the end of the movie did he lose recollection of the climactic fight? Has he been cursed with forgetfulness and therefore does not remember the legends of his own story?

Overall Kalki 2898 AD, to those watching with an open mind and a thoughtful eye, is a minefield of curious parallels, and a reversed good vs evil that with more detail from part 2, could make for a blockbuster winning combination!!!!

PS The way he looks at Sumathi/Deepika before picking her up in his arms was so 🤯🥵🤤... And is the baby somehow his and not a result of Project K? Because I do remember Sum-80 saying she was negative after the last attempt at seeding. Curiously endless possibilities!!!!!
