Hear me out, ok? Ruka doesn't feel love. The way she measures how attracted she is to someone is through her heart rate, and she decides that she's in love with Kazuya (incel guy) because he's the first guy who brought her heart rate up over a threshold she decided on. She immediately confesses her love to him and doesn't understand why he doesn't accept.

The threat of Kazuya breaking up with her isn't because she loves him specifically, but because she fears she will never meet someone like him again, who proved that her heart could react like it's supposed to when someone is in love.

Conclusion: Ruka either hasn't realised that aromanticism is a thing, or she's afraid of it because she thinks it means something is wrong with her. She forces herself into compulsive heterosexuality in order to prove to herself that there's nothing wrong with her, and she can love in the same way anyone else can. She fails, but refuses to accept it.

Me and Ruka have a long history together. In season 1, I really hated her. She was a loud crybaby and the season was completely ruined by her presence. But over time, I began to warm up to Ruka. She would say stuff that I agreed with. Kazuya would be mean to her, and I would empathize with her. She was drawn to be cute and for once, I thought she was cute too.

We still have a long path ahead of us but I think me and Ruka have something. I will teach her what it truly feels like to be loved and cared for like a girlfriend should be. As long as she can get over my lack of attraction to her.
