Gavi couldn’t pay attention to a singular word you were saying. Every time your mouth moved, his eyes trained onto them. He was itching for it to be over, he just wanted to..

“Pablo?” Your eyebrow quirks, using every professional bone in your body not to grin.

“Sorry, what? Can you repeat that?” He coughs, running a hand over his cheek to snap him out of his daze.

Speaking into the mic, you ask, “how are you feeling after your return?” The question was short and simple, but it was genuine when you asked it.

Gavi’s lips form a smile as he answers, “good! Great, it’s amazing, honestly. It feels good to be back on the pitch with the team.” He keeps his answers short, ready to get the interview over with, but also wanting to give you the good material to work with.

Pushing himself through the interview, it finally came to a close when you said, “thank you for your time.”

Gavi hears someone calling for his attention next, and he knows he only had a few minutes. Without thinking, he reaches forward, his hands cupping your jaw. You only had a moment to laugh before his lips crashed into yours.

The kiss was brief, no longer than ten seconds, but it was full of passion. When Gavi pulls away, he mumbles a quick, “I love you.” Before he’s being pulled to another interview.

Whoops and hollers echo off the walls as you contain yourself. Suppressing a massive smile, you turn back to the camera, “that was Pablo Gavi on his return back to the pitch.” And then you sign yourself off, motioning for the camera man to turn the camera off.

Can you tell about the celebration at your place and Spain in general?🫶🏻

2008 was probably the most insane because no one expected it...at all 😅 and I remember being around celebrations in the center of the city but not much else. I was also a lot younger obviously. But 2010 was the biggest celebration because a WC is really something we didn't expect to ever win. From the parade and stuff I remember Capdevilla being as drunk as someone could be. And Reina doing the "waiter" jokes which make sense in Spanish but it was like he pretended to order something and everyone else responded and sang. People still do that sometimes nowadays 😅 and a lot of drama because of the Sara Carbonero-Iker Casillas kiss.

For 2012, I wasn't in Spain when the Euros took place so I only followed the matches. But it was probably similar to before.

And I was also at the parades for the basketball team, which won a lot more, and it was similar too. Less people but not by much. And just that. Singing, dancing, ...the usual. One year it was also emotional because of a player who lost his mum, if I remember correctly, and his teammates sang a song to cheer him up before matches that became the anthem for the team. We still sing it at parties.
