Sanguinius, holding up a winged toddler: This is Lilith, we call her Lili for short. She likes to eat venomous snakes and her hobbies include giving me heart attacks and teething on absolutely everything. I think she's getting fangs. Her favourite thing to do is to disappear and hunt snakes.

Sanguinius, several years later: This is Zadkiel, we call him Zad. He has much the same hobbies as Lilith did and likes getting stuck in vents. I know for a fact, he's getting fangs. He caught a rat the other day. It's marginally better then Lilith's snake hunting. Marginally.

Corvus, trying to find his toddler: I am trying to find Cornix. Has anyone seen Cornix??? She's very small, looks like me and can disappear like I can. She likes quiet places and I've already checked the vents-

Magnus, proudly holding his toddler: This is Medea. I'm certain she'll be a powerful psyker like me one day! I know this because I spent three hours trying to catch her because she decided to float around inside a bubble.

Fulgrim, proudly holding a toddler that's trying to eat his hair: This is Midna, she is my pride and joy, and a symbol of utter perfection. She will do great things one day. I'm certain of it! No, stop eating my hair- that's bad for you-

Leman and his small litter: This is Freya, Askel, Astrid and Bori. They are my pride and joy, and I have no regrets even if Father hit me several times with a sandal. One day my children will make fine warriors and for now they shall bite your ankles!

Jaghaitai, cradling a sleeping toddler: Shhh, this is Min, and she just fell asleep, please don't wake her. I finally understand what my tribe went through and I haven't slept in three days. Fuck you Leman for giving her candy

Vulkan, holding a very chubby toddler: This is Opal, and she likes being warm. She also likes being near me. I think she's trying to kill me because I've found her curled up in my workshop asleep, and I have no idea how she keeps coming in-
