नई दिल्ली में 8 जुलाई से 2 अगस्त के बीच सत्रीय केंद्र, गुवाहाटी ऑफ संगीत नाटक अकादमी द्वारा सत्रीय नृत्य पर आधारित एक वर्कशॉप आयोजित की गई। यह संगीत नाटक अकादमी भारत सरकार के संस्कृति मंत्रालय का एक स्वायत निकाय है। इसमें मेवाड़ यूनिवर्सिटी के नृत्य विभाग के सत्रीय विद्या की स्टूडेंट रंगरुपा बोरा ने भाग लेकर अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन कर वहां मौजूद सभी लोगों का दिल जीत लिया।

मेवाड़ विश्वविद्यालय की कला एवं संस्कृति विभाग की महानिदेशिका प्रो. (डॉ.) चित्रलेखा सिंह ने बताया कि संगीत नाटक अकादमी दिल्ली के सचिव राजू दास ने स्टूडेंट को प्रमाण पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया। इस वर्कशॉप में असम राज्य के विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक संगठनों ने हिस्सा लिया था। मेवाड़ यूनिवर्सिटी के चेयरपर्सन डॉ. अशोक कुमार गदिया और कुलपति प्रो. (डॉ.) आलोक मिश्रा ने उनके वर्कशॉप मे प्रतिभाग करने और प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त करने पर उन्हें बधाई दी। विशेष जानकारी यह है कि सत्रीय विद्या का शास्त्रीय नृत्य केवल भारत में मेवाड़ विश्वविद्यालय में सिखाया जाता है। जानकारी के मुताबिक सत्रीय नृत्य असम का शास्त्रीय नृत्य है और यह आठ मुख्य भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्य परंपराओं में से एक है।
