33 and Serennedy <33
WOOOOO ok here's the prompt list
33. "Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed, for that matter."
Leon just got home. He just got home, he's completely safe, he's hardly even bruised. It's a wonderful thing, but Luis can't let himself fall into the relief of having his partner back just yet because Leon is... glaring at him?
Luis feels the grin slide off of his face, and he can't help feeling like a child that's just been caught. It's the same feeling that used to settle in his stomach when his grandfather found him sneaking extra sweets from cabinets as a boy.
"What's, uh, what's wrong, Sancho?" he asks. Leon's arms shift where they're folded across his chest. The glare deepens.
"You look tired."
"Well, sure," Luis counters immediately, "I just woke up."
Leon squints at him like he's talking nonsense, "you're in your lab clothes." Which. Fuck. He is still in his lab clothes. Luis looks down at himself and winces; shirt and slacks wrinkled and loose, stains of varying mysterious substances dot the fabric here and there. Certainly not what he should be wearing on a Saturday morning.
When he looks back up he jumps, because Leon is suddenly right in front of him, giving him a searching, albeit still slightly angry, look.
"Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed, for that matter."
"I..." Luis starts, then looks away and drops his voice to barely over a whisper, "I didn't. I got back from the lab just now."
"Luis-"
"I just can't sleep very well when you're gone," Luis cuts him off, biting the inside of his cheek. He's still not very good at admitting to weakness, but Leon deserves to know, "working in the lab helps me keep from going insane worrying about you."
All at once, the tension drops out of Leon's shoulders. He huffs a small, exasperated sigh, then kisses Luis on the forehead and takes his hand.
"Come on," he says, tugging Luis towards the stairs, "We're going to take a shower and then get in bed. We're sleeping all day."
#not said is how scared luis is of losing the first person he's loved as much as he loved his grandfather#or how sorry leon is that he's the kind of partner luis has to worry about *cue the self-loathing*#luis serra#resident evil#leon s kennedy#serennedy#re4 remake#my fic

will your friend let us know when she has seen the uptie story for the manager of lamanchaland identity?
// aka, when can we send asks about the uptie story. i have so many thoughts in my head about it
// I have seen the uptie story, but I’d like it if you wait a few days to send Sancho asks about it. I have multiple reasons for this. 1) finals, 2) I wanna give people who haven’t seen it yet more of a chance to see it if they wish, 3) I’m hesitant to talk about it with Sancho. I’m sure on her end, Dante’s already acquired the ID and had her use it, and I’m sure it’s probably affected her significantly. I think she needs some time. I’d say we’ll start accepting asks related to the uptie story come Saturday. I know that’s a bit of a wait, but please be patient.

Match Review: Liverpool 3-0 Manchester United
Whatever.
This one will be a quick one because I only managed to watch the highlights. Did we deserve to lose? Yes. Were we dramatically outplayed? No.
The positives - More minutes in the tank for players and fitness ahead of the new season. Notably so for Amad and Mason Mount, who will hopefully have big parts to play in this season. Rashford is also looking a lot sharper than last season, as is Casemiro (who also looks slimmer).
The negatives - United were not clinical. More chances than Liverpool, no goals. Casemiro also had a howler moment, which exposed Toby Collyer, and the half team split (front 5/back 5) thing was apparent yet again. Hopefully something being worked on by the new coaching staff, and that just showed based on who was available (still a bunch of internationals back at Carrington).
No Hojlund and Zirkzee makes a difference up top, but I do feel Wheatley should have been started at CF over Sancho. He's a makeshift and didn't do well. He's much better at link up play and being a clever, tricky bastard. I get why him central over Marcus, because that experiment has been tried and proven ineffective, but still. Wheatley is a solid third choice striker for a few mins here and there this season. Why deprive him of a rare start?
Anyway, tour over. Back home we go. Prep for next Saturday's Community Shield derby against City is underway and hopefully we can go two games, two wins, two trophies against the noisy neighbours. Doubtful, but not impossible.

*queues up for my Friday fun fact*
I am sorry I’m late, but today got hectic, and I was behind on my daily word count for Camp NaNoWriMo, and my Saturday Note, but I’m here now! I’m okay.
Anyway, this was on my mind because I’m reading Don Quixote, and it’s that this book/character inspired a Hanna-Barbera cartoon about anthropomorphic animals! So Today You Learned about The Adventures of Don Coyote and Sancho Panda!
Yeah, so I caught this on TV maybe a couple of times as a kid? It severely hindered my ability to learn the characters’ actual names from the actual novel–although apparently in the cartoon, they kept the horse and donkey’s names the same as from the original book? And they talked? I don’t remember much. I think Rocinante and Dapple were the voices of reason.
Basically, Don Coyote would go on random adventures, and he would see whatever he was looking at as some kind of random monster and go at it. Somehow, he would accidentally succeed at his tasks, and everyone goes home happy. Ish.
As you can imagine, it’s not really an adaptation of the book, though it’s close enough in spirit for children to get the gist, I think? It only ran 26 episodes, and I hardly see anyone ever mention or reference it. It’s got a TV Tropes page, though, albeit a short one.

sorry for the delay but here is the post match analysis for the forrest game:
first things first WE’RE THE FAMOUS MAN UNITED AND WE’RE GOING TO WEMBLEY!!!!!
ahhh it feels so good to say that and no matter what happens come 26th feb idc, we reached a final thats all that matters.
now onto the match. tbh even tho we won 2-0, it did at times look like forest could’ve made a comeback. we were kinda sloppy in the first 20 minutes but made a quick recovery and it’s really nice to see martial back on the scoresheet.
garnacho again i’ve said it a million times before, that kid is just absolutely amazing to watch on the ball. idk why the sky commentators were criticising him sm last night but we move.
tom heaton is literally the perfect no.2 gk, fuck knows why we have butland on loan bc heaton should be used way more. as always defending was amazing although i found it interesting that wan bissaka was sitting so high up and often in line w the front three like that was a bit???
that triple substitution w sancho rashy n martial was actually insane n im so happy sancho is back playing football, he was absolutely amazing!!!
next game is palace at home on saturday but i acc can’t wait for the cup final up the reds!

Chelsea winless in four while City make it successive victories
Chelsea’s stuttering end-of-year form continued into 2025 as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in one of five 3pm Premier League kick-offs on Saturday afternoon. Cole Palmer gave Enzo Maresca’s side a first-half lead, courtesy of a Jadon Sancho assist, but an 82nd-minute equaliser from Jean-Philippe Mateta ensured the Blues are now winless in four league matches. The point may…
