Henry Morris and Sam x Type One Diabetic reader?

I can give you some information about my medical condition if you need help, sorry if this is too hard! I just never see any x T1 Diabetic reader fics.

A/N: I have zero knowledge of this sort of stuff. With the help from @welpimspooky and google.. I hope this is all correct.

Your diabetes required constant monitoring and careful management. Each day, you relied on an insulin pump to regulate your blood sugar levels. However, changing the infusion site was always a daunting task. The tiny needle, which needed to be inserted just beneath your skin, often caused you anxiety and discomfort.

“Is everything alright, dear?” Henry inquired, and with a reassuring smile, he placed his hand on your shoulder. Henry would sit by your side, and he would try his best to at least be there for you.

You only nodded, resting your head on his shoulder. “Just thinking,” you muttered. Understanding the importance of timely site changes to manage your diabetes, Henry offered to help. You hesitated, feeling embarrassed to burden him with your medical needs. But Henry reassured you, expressing his unwavering support.

“It’ll be alright, (Y/N)”

Henry gathered the necessary supplies and sat beside you on the couch. He carefully guided you through the process. He made sure to keep an eye on you, making sure that you were alright.

Once the two of you were finished, Henry wrapped his arms around you, patting the top of your head as the both of you enjoyed dinner.

“I knew you could do it.”

Despite your condition, that didn’t let Sam try and befriend you, which successfully worked. You found her presence comforting, and it made you feel safe around her.

On a sunny morning, as you and Sam strolled through a nearby park, you suddenly felt a familiar pang on your side. Your glucose monitor beeped insistently, signaling a spike in your blood sugar levels. A frown formed on your face, feeling the weight of your condition pressing down on you.

Sam, noticing your distress, immediately sprang into action. “Are you feeling okay?” she asked, her concern evident in her voice.

You forced a smile, masking your discomfort. “Just a little off, but I’ll be fine,” you replied, though the strain in your voice betrayed your facade. Sam wasn’t convinced. “Come on, let’s find a spot for you to check your levels,” she insisted, guiding you to a nearby bench.

Reluctantly, you took out your glucometer and pricked your finger, wincing at the familiar sting. The digital display flashed a worrying number, confirming your suspicions. Your blood sugar was dangerously high.

Sam frowned, but wrapped an arm around your shoulder. “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you.” Taking a deep breath, you took out your insulin pen. With practiced ease, you administered the medication, feeling a sense of relief washing over you.

As you waited for it to take effect, Sam smiled as she placed her hand on top of yours.

“Think you can handle ice cream after this?”

📽️ Me Before You (2016)

This is a movie that is such a good representation of the book. So many book adaptations follow the basic storyline but not much else. There was obviously some stuff they had to change, but they followed the book really closely. Which means that the ending is still devastating. The casting was also perfect, especially the two main characters. This is a great movie to watch any time, but especially if you want to cry. It’s definitely a tearjerker.

Sex/nudity: 2/10 (kissing, some talk of sex and sexual joke)

Language: 2/10 (no f-words, mostly mild stuff)

Violence: 1/10 (references to suicide attempts)

Overall rating: 8/10
