I read your “Help” post - (loved the title btw! lol) - and was wondering if you were still looking for prompts to get your feet under you with writing?

If not, no pressure! But if you are looking for something to write, I think having Bucky Barnes being protective over the reader when a creepy guy’s bothering them in the park would be EPIC!!

(Bonus points if they don’t know each other and he’s just pulling a “good samaritan”).

Again, only if you want to! I know getting a flood of writing prompts can be overwhelming, so only do what you want to do.

My Hero

Summary: Bucky comes to your aid at Central Park.

Featuring: Sam Wilson

Warnings: cursing, stalking, violent behavior.

Word count: 2821

Walking through Central Park you breathed in the smell of the flowers alongside the walkways. The late summer breeze cools your heated skin making you sigh in relief, you’re glad that you opted for your sunflower patterned sundress. You had always made an effort to walk the park at least three times a week if not more when your schedule allowed, being your own boss made it possible the majority of the time. But being a family photographer you often have to work around other peoples schedules.

The early evening was your favorite time to walk around the park. The golden hue the sun casted painted a beautiful picture before you. The park has always been your go to location for your business, the scenery always the perfect backdrop for your clients.

You passed couples on a romantic walk, families taking a stroll for some fresh air, tourists taking in all the different statues in the park, and people like you who were taking in the splendor of Central Park. Walking down the path, you passed a man who had happened to catch your eye and smiled politely at him. The man smiled back and gave you a small nod and you continued on with your routine.

You continued along the walking path, checking out different areas of the park that seemed to have the potential to be new scenery for family photos. Checking out every possible angle, before scrunching your nose and moving on to the next area. You stopped at a bench surrounded by Black-eyes Susan’s, tilting your head side to side as you examined its potential. A prickling sensation creeped up the back of your neck, the feeling of being watched interrupted your scrutiny of the bench. Looking around your surroundings, you took in the other families and tourists minding their own business. Your eyes landed on the man you had smiled at earlier. You didn’t pay him no mind, crossing off your weird feeling as just unnecessary paranoia. It wasn’t uncommon for people to coincidentally take the same path as you.

Marking that bench on your list of possible spots for your clients, you continued on your path. You stopped in front of another area admiring the rose bushes in front of you. You pushed away the feeling of foreboding to the back of your mind as it prickled up the back of your neck once again.

As you continued on with your silent judgment, you failed to hear the steps coming closer and closer to you.

“Shit!” You exclaimed as you felt a large hand tap on your shoulder, pulling you swiftly out of your thoughts.

“Sorry! Sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you!” Turning yourself around you came face to face with the man that has been walking the same path as you for the past half hour. His hands held up in front of him in an apologetic, placating manner.

“Uhm..it’s alright, I guess I was just too deep in thought for a minute there.” You shrugged. “Was there something you needed?”

“Yeah! Uh,” he started rubbing the back of his neck, to the movement of his other hand clenching and unclenching had caught your eye.

“I-I just felt like I should get to know you, when you smiled at me back at the entrance. I felt a pull towards you.” He said giving you a sheepish smile.

“A pull…?” You quirked a brow at him.

“Yeah, your smile it invited me to come talk to you,” he said as he gave you a half smile.

An uneasy feeling crept into your mind as you looked at him, his body language seemed relaxed and carefree but his eyes held something different. To an untrained eye, the man seemed to come of as a genuinely kind person. But to you, a photographer, you had an eye for detail and reading people’s body language. This ability helped you in your business capturing and expressing feelings through your art.

To you his eyes held darkness. His eyes held danger.

Sam decided that Bucky needed a change in surroundings, getting tired of seeing Bucky doing the same routine over and over, day in and day out. Never straying from his comfort zone, it was always gym, Yori’s, or missions. His cyborg best friend never seemed to take a break.

It took some constant nagging, but Sam managed to convince the Tin-man to take a trip to Central Park.

“Stop acting your age, man. Enjoy the scenery,” Sam stopped next to some potted flowers. “And smell the roses.” He smirked.

“Haha, funny.” Bucky deadpanned. “Those aren’t even roses.”

“Man, you need a break. You’ve been running yourself ragged lately.” Sam gave Bucky a serious look. “I know you’re a super soldier but, even super soldiers need a break.”

“I’m fine, Sam.” Bucky shrugged off Sam’s concern, choosing to walk down a path with two families, one guy, and a woman wearing a sunflower sundress.

“Whatever, I know you’re not fine but, I’m not going to push you. Just enjoy the less claustrophobic part of the city.” Sam followed beside him, nudging Bucky’s side. “And relax!”

Bucky rolled his eyes as they strolled along, he won’t admit to Sam that he was right. He needed to relax and start taking a break every so often but, telling Sam that he was right was akin to sinning to him.

The two walked along the path admiring the scenery and breathing in the fresher less polluted air. Sam asked Bucky questions about Central Park in the forties and Bucky told Sam a story of how he tried to teach Steve how to ice skate one winter in the thirties.

The whole time Bucky didn’t take Sam’s advice and relax, his years in the Army and being a brainwashed assassin for Hydra has trained him to always be on his guard and aware of his surroundings. So when he noticed a man, following and staring at the woman in the sunflower sundress he steered their “relaxing” stroll through the park behind the suspicious man.

Sam was completely oblivious to what Bucky was doing. Whenever the woman stopped to look at flowers, or a statue Bucky stopped, pretending to admire and take in his surroundings, listening to Sam ramble on, all the while keeping an eye on the man who never took his eyes off the woman in the sunflower dress. Minutes went by as he managed to continue his secret surveillance.

“She’s cute.” Sam’s statement caught him off guard, causing him to turn his full attention to his friend.

“What?”

“I said, she’s cute. You’ve been checking her out the majority of the time we’ve been here. I’m not oblivious.”

I’m not so sure about that, bud. Bucky thought.

“I’m not checking her out,” Bucky another glance at you, he won’t admit to Sam that he did think you were pretty cute with your (y/e/c) eyes and your (y/h/c) hair glowing in the evening sun, and how your sundress seemed fit your body beautifully.

“You’re literally checking her out right now, man.” Sam grinned. Bucky looked back at Sam to glare at him, he opened his mouth to say something smart until a yell caught his attention.

“Shit!”

Bucky looked on, as your hand flung to your chest, he could hear your heart beating faster from being startled by the man that has been following you. Bucky glared at the man who was so close to you now, watching as you interacted with him, watching as he noticed you become more and more uncomfortable with that man’s presence. Bucky’s eyes focused on the man clenching his fist, and how his eyes turned darker by the minute. Bucky positioned himself at the ready, waiting for the moment he needed to intervene.

“Uh, well,” you cleared your throat out of nervousness, the man’s words sent warning signals straight to your brain. “ I’m sorry, but I wasn’t really inviting you to anything. I was just being polite.”

“Oh..,” the man replied. His head tilting to the side, you felt like the man’s eyes were trying to stare directly into your soul, willing you to stay and talk with him longer.

“I should get going, I’m supposed to go meet some friends soon.” You lied, taking a step back letting the man know that the awkward interaction had ended. The man took another step forward, reaching towards you and you glared.

“Sir, I’m done talking with you, I need to go.” Quickly you turned around heading for the path that will take you to the closest exit. But once you turned around you felt your shoulder being tugged back towards the now violent man.

“Now, listen here you little bitc-“ you stumbled back as the hand that grabbed you was suddenly ripped away from your body. You felt your body being steadied by someone and looked to your side and your eyes widened.

Sam Wilson? Captain America?

Yelling interrupted your shocked thoughts and looked towards where the man who was harassing you was, to see him being held up by his shirt by a very muscular man, with a very recognizable arm holding him against a tree.

Bucky Barnes? Am I imagining being rescued by superheroes right now?

“I think it’s because I’m old fashioned, but I don’t think that’s how you flirt with women.” Bucky growled in the man’s face. You watched as realization dawned on the man’s face as his flesh went from a healthy pink tone to completely white.

“The Winter Soldi-“ Bucky cut the man off by throwing him against the tree again. A wheezing cough escaping the creeps mouth.

“I should drag you to the nearest precinct and have you explain how you harassed and attacked this nice lady over here in the middle of the park, but I’m not gonna do that.” He said darkly as he got closer to the man’s face. Bucky’s face was nothing but pure rage, the moment he saw the man reach for your shoulder, he saw red. It was as if the Winter Soldier had once again taken over his mind and he just acted on instinct, the creep had become his mission.

“Bucky,” Sam warned.

“No, I’m not gonna do that.” His voice turned dark and dangerous. “I’m gonna give you a warning,”

You watched in awe, as you watched the man have the fear of God placed in this man’s mind by a super soldier. Bucky Barnes was absolutely terrifying when pushed off.

“If I hear about, or see you harassing another innocent woman in this park,” Bucky dug through the man’s pockets and found his wallet and pulled out his I.D. with one hand and smirked.

“Mark. Then I will personally make sure that not even a prison cell will keep you safe. I will come for you, I promise. ” Bucky pushed against the man, backing away watching as the man slumped to the ground. Bucky gave one more look to the man’s I.D. and committed all the information to memory before placing it back into the wallet and throwing it back at Mark.

The three of you watched as Mark pulled himself up from the ground. Fear exuded from every pore on his body before turning around and running for the exit.

You were still wide-eyed with shock, gripping tightly onto Sam’s bicep when you felt Bucky’s flesh hand gently touch your shoulder. Snapping out of it you looked into his cerulean eyes that were once filled with rage, now looking at you in concern.

“You alright, Doll?” He softly asked. You nodded still dumbfounded with the fact that two heroes just came to your aid, gathering your wits once again you verbally responded to his question.

“Yeah, yes, yes I am. Thank you!” You let out a big breath, releasing all the tension and stress that Mark the Creep placed there.

“Seeing as you are okay now, miss…?” Sam said fishing for your name.

“(Y/N)” you answered.

“(Y/N), I’m going to head out, Buck, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Sam turned his attention to you. “Stay safe, Should let Mr. Hero here walk you home.” Sam winked at Bucky without you noticing, while Bucky glared back at him.

“Uh, if that’s not a problem, I mean. If you don’t have anywhere to be and it��s not out of your way, I can walk myself home.” You stammered, feeling a flush start at the tips of your ears.

“Oh, he’s got nowhere to be, right buddy?” Sam had a shit eating grin on his face at this point much to Bucky’s chagrin.

“Right,” Bucky sighed. “I’ll walk you home, Miss. (Y/n).”

Sam walked away down another path in the park heading back to his apartment, chuckling to himself. Hoping that ditching his best friend managed to get a new friend, or even as more in (Y/N).

Hell, I just hope Buck just gets her number.

You and Bucky walked side by side through the rest of the park heading towards the subway on your journey back to your apartment in awkward silence. Several times you had opened your mouth to engage him in conversation, or even just to say thank you once again for coming to your rescue, but no noise came out of your mouth.

Bucky had noticed your attempts to talk to him during your walk, chalking it up to nerves. He knows you know who he was and what he has done in the past, everyone knew. But what he didn’t know was if you were part of the majority that was afraid of him. So Bucky stayed silent, not wanting to scare you off, he was still a little on edge from scaring off your attacker and didn’t want to scare you off as well if he happened to answer something you asked too harshly.

The longer you walked with Bucky the more relaxed you became, eventually standing up straighter with your eyes ahead and your natural smile back on your face. In return your walking partner also began to relax, your soft presence easing his anxiety and edginess.

“So, where’s your apartment?” His deep voice gains your attention.

“In Brooklyn.” You replied making a mental note that you liked the sound of his voice.

“Well, I guess you’re not out of my way then.” He smiled.

The two of you took the subway back to your apartment building in Brooklyn talking the whole time, Bucky found that he quite liked being in your company. Your sweet nature and easy going personality felt like a balm to his wounded mind. Time seemed to speed up during the journey back to your apartment and Bucky frowned when he realized that the two of you made it back to your apartment. Bucky was so wrapped up in his conversation to you that he didn’t even remember making it to Brooklyn.

“I happen to love the name James!” Bucky stared at you, liking the way that his first name sounded coming out of your mouth.

“Well, with the way it sounds coming out of your mouth, you can call me James any time you want, doll.” Bucky grinned as he noticed the flush reappear on your face.

It’s not the forties anymore, but I can still make a girl blush.

Bucky realized that this is where he leaves you, he panicked a little inside as he didn’t want to stop talking to you. He found that being around you was easy and he didn’t want to let that go. So biting the bullet Bucky blurted.

“Canigetyournumber?”

“What?” You giggled watching as his face turned to pink along his cheeks. Bucky took a deep breath and repeated himself much slower this time.

“Can I get your number?” He brushed his hand through his hair nervously. “So, in case that guy bothers you again, or to talk, maybe hangout?”

You giggled again watching him squirm.

“I mean, you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Especially after what happened at the park today. I wouldn’t be offended if you turned me dow-“ you had placed your hand across his mouth cutting him off.

“Yes.”

“Yes?” It had sounded muffled with your hand across his mouth. You removed your hand revealing a grin across his face.

“Yes! You can have my number.” You laughed.

You both exchanged numbers, editing his contact to read My Hero, both promising to text each other the next day to compare schedules in order to meet with each other again. You both said goodbye and when you finally closed and locked your door Bucky made his way back to his own place.

Bucky laid back on his bed with his grin still plastered on his face.

He won’t admit it, but Sam was right. He needed a break, and now he has a reason to take one

As he stood before his third-grade class, his little notecards shaking in his hands from excitement, Riley could hardly contain the smile on his face. Standing beside him, as steady a presence as always, Sam was doing everything he could to keep from tearing up. Placing a hand on his son's shoulder, he gave him a smile as the small boy looked back up at him with an indescribable sense of pride shining in his gaze.

Turning back to face his class, Riley cleared his throat before beginning, "My name's Riley, and my special person is my dad." The kids ooh'd and ahh'd in their seats, some of them recognizing him from his line of work. "He's an Avenger!" a young boy from the second row blurted, earning a gentle hush from the teacher. "Yeah, I know," Riley laughed, "Pretty cool, right? Lots of you've probably seen him on TV— to everyone else, he's the Falcon. But to me, he's just Dad." The sweet boy turned to give his father a side hug, earning 'aww's from the audience as Sam fussed his hair playfully.

Trying to refocus on the little speech he'd written, Riley then turned back to his notecards. "My dad is a superhero at work, but to me, what really makes him a hero is all the other stuff he does. Before joining the Avengers, he was a pa-ra-res-cue man in the Air Force," he sounded out his words, "and at home, he takes care of me and my sisters and Mama– and he's the best dad ever." Hearing this little presentation for the first time, Sam couldn't help but gulp down a batch of tears, his heart swelling warmly with pride. "When I grow up, I wanna be just like him: smart, kind, and always ready to help others."

At the conclusion of the speech, the class erupted in cheers. A round of praise could be heard through the room as the pair earned a standing ovation, "Wow, Sam's awesome!" "I wanna join the Air Force too!" "I wish my dad was a superhero!"

Sweeping little Riley up off the floor in a giant bear hug, Sam held his boy close as he whispered in his ear, "That was awesome, bud. I'm so proud of you."

"Proud of you too, Dad," Riley breathed into his dad's embrace, "always proud of you."

"Thank you, Riley. Class, would anyone like to ask Mr. Wilson a question?" the teacher cut in, nearly every hand in the room shooting up in the air. Chuckling at the class's enthusiasm, she turned to Riley and offered, "Riley, would you like to call your friends?"

"Sure!" the boy was pleased to agree. First he chose a girl sitting in the front row, whose eyes went wide with excitement at being selected to ask the hero a question.

"Hi Mr. Wilson!" she beamed, earning a friendly smile from the man, "My question is: who is your favorite Avenger?"

Plot: One night in Delacroix, Y/N and Sam sit together on his sister's porch swing. Sam is preoccupied with Sarah and Bucky’s growing romantic interest in one another… whilst Y/N is preoccupied with her romantic interest in Sam. Pairing: Sam Wilson x Female!Reader. Also hinted Bucky x Sarah (Bucky has a crush). Warnings: A small mention of alcohol, and just a lot of sickly sweet fluff. But as always, if I miss any triggers, let me know. Notes: This is for @flufftober Day 7: Porch Swing. I love writing Sam fluff, he's the best, and I adore this story, so I hope you all love it too! 💖 Not beta'd, so any mistakes are my own.

“Y/N, when are you going to stop torturing yourself?” Bucky asks from beside her as he takes a swig from his beer. Y/N frowns. She went outside to sit on Sarah's porch swing for a moment of relaxation and solitude. She came to Delacroix for a break from the city and to unwind. Of course, seeing Sam, Sarah, Bucky, AJ and Cass was the main reason, but she can see why they love it so much whenever she’s there. It’s so peaceful, and the townspeople are so welcoming. So when Bucky joined her and told her he needed to ask her something, she definitely was not expecting such an intense question to leave his lips.

“Jeez, deep much? And besides, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“That’s a lie.” Another swig. When Y/N stays silent, Bucky rolls his eyes. “Really? You’re not going to talk now?”

“I don’t know what you mean.” She lies again, which Bucky once again picks up on immediately.

“Mhm. Sure. I may be an old man, but I’m not stupid.” He raises a brow, staring at her and just waiting for her to break. When she still doesn’t take the bait, Bucky sighs. “I’m talking about how insanely in love with Sam you are, and how you still haven’t told him yet.” Y/N gasps, swatting at his arm. Bucky may be one of her best friends in the world… but he’s also a complete pain in the ass.

“Shut up!” She hisses. “It’s none of your business when, or even if, I’ll tell him. Besides, did you really come out here just to pester me on my dating life?” Y/N asks. Bucky shakes his head.

“Nope. Sarah wanted me to ask you if you want some ice cream.” He smiles, and Y/N raises a brow.

“Oh, you wanna talk about my dating life? How about your huge crush on Sarah, lover-boy?” Bucky’s face goes scarlet, and Y/N’s burst of laughter fills the air. “I knew it!” She gasps. “You’re absolutely not one to talk about me not telling Sam. When are you going to tell Sarah?”

“I-I don’t know!” He stammers. “Anytime I go near her, Sam stares daggers at me.” He groans, and Y/N nods. She’s definitely been witness to a few of those looks. If looks could kill, Bucky would be in serious trouble. “Look at us. Best friends, and each in love with one of the Wilsons.”

“And we’re both terrified to tell them the truth.”

Bucky chuckles. “How about we just both agree to tell them whenever we’re ready? …Whenever the hell that is.” He suggests, and Y/N agrees. “Perfect. I’m gonna head back in, you coming?” Bucky asks, and Y/N shakes her head.

“I’ll stay here for a bit. See you later.” As Bucky departs, Y/N settles back into her seat, staring out at the sunset, and the sky’s vibrant pink and purple hues. God, it’s so beautiful out here.

For a while, she’s alone with her thoughts, until:

“Hey, you. Buck said you were out here on your own. What’s up?” Sam asks, sitting down beside her.

“Of course he did. I’m gonna fucking kill him.”

She looks over at Sam, who grins back at her, turning his body to face her. As she wonders what it would be like to be wrapped in his warm embrace, she can already register her heart beating just that little faster. Despite the cooler chill in the air as autumn makes its way in, being with Sam like this makes her feel all warm and cosy inside. Well… that’s how Sam always makes her feel. Initially, she thought you felt this way towards everyone, including friends. But then she realised that nobody else makes her feel so content, or can make her laugh as hard as Sam does. Nobody else would let her call them at all hours of the night for a chat, even if it’s about mindless nonsense.

Nobody ever cares as much about her as Sam Wilson does.

And god, she loves him so much.

“Hey yourself. I could ask you the same question, you know.” Sam chuckles, a classic Sam Wilson smile that sends her heart into a flutter. She hopes his reply is something like:

“I just wanted to see you.” or “I have to tell you something.” Unfortunately though, it’s not that. “Oh my god, I just had to get away from my sister and Bucky flirting with one another. It’s driving me insane.” Y/N rolls her eyes, suppressing a groan. Here it comes.

Ever since she arrived, Sam has been complaining about Bucky's crush on Sarah, and Sarah's reciprocated feelings for him. And since he can’t take his frustrations out on either of them, he's dumping it all on her. Of course, she understands he just wants to protect his sister, and despite knowing Bucky’s a good guy, it’s natural to worry. At first, she was thankful for his complaining, since it gave her a chance to think about something that wasn’t her crush on Sam. Now, though, it’s driving her crazy.

“Are you listening to me?”

“Yeah.” she murmurs, and Sam raises a brow.

“You sure? You look….” He murmurs, and she rolls her eyes.

“Well Sam, there’s only so many times you can hear about Bucky and Sarah staring at each other.” She points out, and he nods.

“I know, I know.” His words make Y/N breathe a sigh of relief. Finally, it's over. Until: “I just don’t get it! Like what could she possibly see in-“

“Oh my god, Sam, please stop.” She groans, leaning against the back of the swing.

“But- “

“No! That’s all I’ve had to put up with since I got here!” She exclaims. “And I understand you’re nervous, but Bucky’s a great guy and Sarah will be fine. She's raising those two boys by herself, I think she can handle your best friend.” In hindsight, she should’ve calmed down and thought about what she was going to say next. But after spending so long bottling things up, she’s ready to erupt. “This was supposed to be a relaxing trip, and I wanted to tell you how I feel about you!”

“What do you mean?” Sam asks, his brow raised and his voice suddenly more serious.

“I was going to tell you I love you!” She gasps. Her admission shocks them both, and her eyes widen. “Oh fuck. Oh shit. Oh, fuck.”

“Oh. Oh.” Sam murmurs. The embarrassment comes then, almost drowning her under its weight. It’s too late to turn back now, to protect her heart before it shatters completely.

So, since she’s already digging herself a giant hole, she might as well keep going.

“Fuck, Sam, I have been in love with you for… to be honest, I lost count.” She chuckles awkwardly. Sam doesn’t laugh. Or smile. He just stares at her, which makes Y/N’s anxiety kick into overdrive. “I don’t mind if you don’t feel the same.” She lies. Honestly, it would tear her apart, to give so much of her heart to one person, her favourite person in the entire world, and receive nothing in return. “I just couldn’t go another day without telling you.”

“Y/N.” Sam speaks, his voice a lot softer now. He scoots closer, so much so their bodies are almost touching. “I’m sorry.” And then, Y/N truly wants the ground to swallow her whole. She tries to stand up, ready to leave and to forget this ever happened… until: “I wasn’t finished.” Sam chuckles. He takes a deep breath. “I was going to say I’m sorry for being so focused on my feelings and not paying attention to you.” He finds her hand, squeezing it reassuringly. Y/N feels the warmth radiating from his touch, and she slowly starts to calm down. “And I’m sorry for being an idiot.” He continues, and she raises a brow.

“What do you mean?”

“I didn’t tell you how I feel about you.” He answers, and her mouth drops open. Sam leans in, cupping her cheek. “I love you so much. You’re the most gorgeous woman I know, and I’m so glad you love me, too. Although, I don’t think anyone could love you as much as I love you.” A deep heat settles on her cheeks, and Sam chuckles. “Y/N?”

“Mhm?”

“I really want to kiss you.”

“I really want you to kiss me, too.” Smiling, Sam leans in close, pressing his lips to hers in a soft kiss. It’s perfect, like one of those rom-com kisses where the music reaches a crescendo and you feel it throughout your entire body. It’s better than anything she’d wished for.

They sit there for the rest of the night, wrapped in each other’s embrace. Watching as the sun disappears below the horizon, and as the stars and moon appear. “I love you, you know that?” Sam asks, and Y/N giggles.

“Yeah, I think you mentioned that once or twice.” But she still can’t stop grinning like a fool. A total, lovesick fool. Sam kisses her temple.

“Well, you better get used to hearing it more and more, because I’ll never let you forget it.”

“Good.” She smiles, leaning in for another kiss.

“I am sorry for being a pain in the ass, though.” Sam repeats, and Y/N chuckles.

“You don’t need to be sorry. You’ve more than made up for it anyway.” She grins, raising a brow, and Sam kisses her temple.

“Did I ever tell you I love you?”

“Once or twice, yeah.” She giggles, and Sam grins.

“Well, I’m going to keep telling you. Because I do love you Y/N, and I never want you to forget that.” Y/N smiles, pecking his lips.

“I could never forget you, Sam. You’re stuck with me for the rest of your life.” She teases, and Sam’s grin grows even wider.

“Sounds perfect.” He smirks, leaning in once more.

The weight of him. Comforting. A little too heavy, but Sam didn't want Bucky to move.

The sweat of him. Dripping from the heat of a Louisiana summer night despite three fans going at full blast in Sam's room.

Felt Bucky's arms. Wrapping around Sam. The way their legs tangled. The way Bucky's entire body needed to hold Sam as close as possible.

The way Bucky's chest moved with every slow breath Bucky took. The way Bucky nuzzled Sam's neck, the nice scratchiness of Bucky's scruff.

Sam held onto Bucky too. Felt every light stretch Bucky did on Bucky's back.

Sam stared up at his ceiling, his sight partially veiled by stray Bucky hair.

And Sam knew he had to say something.

"Bucky," said Sam, nervously.

Because. He hadn't told anyone this really. Ever. Well. Besides Riley. But this felt important to say.

Sam felt the rumble of Bucky's relaxed yawn. Saw Bucky's hair move as Bucky turned that intense, soft gaze at Sam.

All the attention in the world.

It was immense.

It was addictive.

"What is it?" murmured Bucky as he lazily kissed Sam's jaw.

Distracted Sam with a few more light kisses on Sam's face. Smirked like he just knew he could do that to Sam.

"I need to tell you something," said Sam, and Sam could hear the nervousness in his voice, "Something that I don't tell a lot of people."

"Is it that you're bi? Because, you know, we just had sex, so I kind of picked up the cues here, Samuel," said Bucky.

Sam laughed.

Cackled.

It was probably too much laughing, but Sam was still a little high from what just happened and while Sam hated to admit it, he liked Bucky's jokes.

"I'd be a little worried if you didn't pick that up," said Sam, grinning, "But this is a little more... complicated. Or just. I guess not something I talk about a lot."

It was as if Bucky was transfixed by Sam. Dazed because Sam smiled at him. Completely overflowing with gushy feelings, leaking them all over Sam. And if that wasn't the most annoyingly sweet look Sam had ever seen, Sam didn't know what sweet was.

Sam melted a bit when Bucky peppered him with more light kisses. All soft. And lackadaisical.

"I - I'm demisexual," explained Sam, glancing over to see Bucky thoughtfully waiting for Sam to continue, "... And that means, um. I don't - I don't usually feel sexual attraction unless. I. Have. A. Strong emotional bond with someone. So. Um. I just wanted you to know that."

"Sam Wilson. Are you telling me you have a strong emotional bond with me? Are you saying you like me?" teased Bucky, his smile wider now.

"You know what? Never mind. I rescind my coming out. You don't deserve it," grumbled Sam, squirming under Bucky's smile.

Bucky pinned Sam down. Not with his body, though, Bucky's body was still squarely on Sam, but with his eyes. His eyes filled with genuine joy.

"I'm sorry. I - I just really like you too, so it's nice to know you like me," said Bucky softly.

"Wouldn't be under you right now if I didn't," breathed Sam, unable to look away from Bucky's eyes.

Relaxed into Bucky's kiss.

"Did I mention that I like you a lot?" asked Bucky into the kiss, "Like, a lot a lot?"

Sam snickered.

"I think I got that," said Sam as Bucky settled back into his sleeping position, "Are you... it's okay that I'm...?"

Which was a weird question for Sam to ask. It shouldn't matter if Bucky was okay with it. This was insecurity creeping up on Sam.

"Sam, I have very little clue what 'demisexual' means and it is three in the morning. But I know I like you. And you like me. And I've gotten very good at google searches over the years, so I can probably learn everything about it when I wake up," yawned Bucky, "I accept you for all that you are, though. I always will."

Sam... might have wiped away a tear. He didn't know he was crying until then. he didn't expect it. But all the same, Sam felt safe as Bucky held him close and whispered love into Sam's skin.

1. Who is your favourite character in 2?

Oh no not this😅 Don't wanna start off totally indecisive but In all honesty Aziraphale and Crowley are such a package deal I've never been able to decide who I liked more so both it is!

2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?

Probably Frank Morgan since he's meant to give everyone the creeps and totally untrustworthy but if we're talking main cast then Ray because everyone else is just too good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3. What's your favourite episode of 4?

Episode two THE beloved my one and only 🥺💖 12/10 would gladly watch Owen and Tom sit around chatting and mirroring the cafeteria vibes either as Lokius or themselves for the rest of my days

4. What is your favourite season of 5?

Gotta be S2!! All the earlier seasons are gold so was very tempted by the latter half of S3 but S2's like a tour de force

5. What's your favourite relationship in 3?

Baxter and Quinn would an obvious one since John and Phil are married in every role and this is no exception but the dynamic between Baxter and Rick is so weirdly fascinating?? They just clash so instantly, usually to great disaster but will never stop themselves or learn from their mistakes, absolutely obsessed tbh

6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?

I don't really have one?? If pressed I wasn't interested in Anathema and Newt being shoved together for no real reason or the implication of ending up with someone because you're told but I don't have any active dislike for them or their pairing

7. How long have you watched 1?

Well I was pretty late to pick the show up and watched for the first time around three years ago, have since rewatched the entire series at least 5 times in full, and various clips more times than I could ever count lol

8. How did you become interested in 3?

Thank my url namesake, lol. Truly the most stunning TV experience start to finish I've had with a flawless all star cast and just criminally underrated show in general!!

9. Who is your favourite actor in 4?

🤣🤣 Feel as if I've walked right into this one and y'all don't even need to hear the answer but that would be Owen Wilson, whose take on Mobius has honestly been life changing for me 💖

10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2 or 5?

Oh man as much as I adore Psych I'm stuck between Life on Mars and Good Omens on this one... Oh this is the worst, okay, I'm going... Life on Mars! When taking the point of how much I love both main pairs out of the picture there are more elements of and characters in LoM I think I enjoy more

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?

I've watched both fully through multiple times but Life on Mars just edges by with having more episodes so that'll be the one!

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?

Loki or Ravonna just for sheer proximity of how much time would be spent around Mobius lmao, literally my only primary consideration

13. How would you kill off your favourite character in 5?

Laughing so hard at this because ironically my favorite character in Psych has pondered many scenarios potentially resulting in his own death lmao. If necessary he'd probably prefer a blaze of glory gunfight but I don't think he'd mind being taken out by his favorite land mine going off?? "Sweet music. And then…nothin' but red mist." 😂

14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?

Not necessarily unless you mean would it work in terms of turning me on in ways I've yet to experience in this life because yes, yes, and YES 😳😳

15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.

Idk if it would be the most unlikely but Sam and Chris would've been cute and I always enjoyed how earnestly Chris ended up admiring Sam's approach to the work and who he is as a person

16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5?

I mean Mad Dogs is my favorite show of all time in part because of how talented the cast is in balancing their roles and I can't see that changing plus I'd follow those guys anywhere
