Hwarang x Reader survey!!

First and foremost, I’d like to gauge whether or not this idea is worth writing!!

So question, is anyone still interested in Hwarang?

If I make a Hwarang fanfic where the reader (most likely fem, very sorry) is a True Bone Painter and Calligrapher that occasionally gets commissioned by the officials (and maybe the the royal family), would anyone read it? You can also suggest what you'd like to see! I personally am just strict about keeping the "Painter" part, but the bone status of the reader can be worked around!!

I initially had this idea that the reader would be mixed race/looked like the descent of a different race while maintaining their bone status by having one of the parents out of the picture and be unable to clear up the nature of their ancestry. (Essentially just plot armor so that they don't question you don't look a certain way/to make anyone fit into the narrative regardless of their natural features.)

I'm also not super strict on the reader's status! It's just that generally speaking, it would be more convenient for the reader in every sense of the word to traverse the Hwarang Universe with a little help lolol

So you can suggest to have be, "a half-breed" but just keep in mind the obstacles that might come this person's way!

To add to this, every other chapter (maybe) will feature an inked artwork to portray what the reader has worked on!! Like this;

This is an example of something I made in preparation for this idea (with random sketches of men with long hair, and a funny-looking Ji Dwi lolol) to make the story a little more worth looking into!! The "paintings" will most likely be of random characters that may be some of the reader's commissioners, or maybe even one of the main cast depending on the scenario!!

Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016-2017)

This drama follows the stories of the men of Hwarang, an elite warrior group loyal only to the king of the Silla era. However, a twist in the story is that the current king is in hiding. The previous king was assassinated when the current king was a child, so the king is in hiding until he is powerful enough to protect himself. Until then, his mother, the Queen Regent rules. The story predominantly follows the king, Kim Ji Dwi/Sam Maek Jong, an orphan commoner who doesn't know his own ancestry and assumes the identity of his best friend (Kim Sun Woo), Gae-Sae, and Kim Sun Woo's sister and doctor of the Hwarang warriors, Kim Ahro.

Phew. 😵 That was a long explanation. And that's not even spoiling anything. Now, to the ratings!

Extremely complicated political drama: 10/10

Hilarious wise old man mentor: 10/10

Adorable side couple: 20/10

Love triangle that isn't infuriating: 8/10. Minus 2 points for being predictable.

15. Biggest artist pet peeve?

LIKE.. IN OTHER ARTISTS? OR AS AN ARTIST? yknow what let me just answer both since i don't know in other artists.. gijinkas tbh sorry i really don't like them outside of few & far between rare cases.. i think it takes out all the wonder and imagination of a nonhuman character and particularly their design to go the most boring route ever and just maek them human IAIU#"/ though also ppl complaining about & being arrogant about not flipping their own canvases like why lol. it helps you. it supports improvement. its just annoying it isnt the boast they act it issss for myself ummmm.. i cant really think of anything so lets just say when my fcking computer freezes & i have to force restart it while im in the middle of drawing

20. What works have you drawn fanart of?

oh my god so fucking many dude fanart is my lifeblood being obsessed with media is 99% of my drive to make anything. i do make art otherwise but nothing activates my drawingbrain the way getting crazy about a new Thing does. sometimes unfortunate and something i feel kinda cringe for but whatevs here's some off the top of my head(...and top of my folder): futurama, sam and max, pinky and the brain, green eggs and ham, osomatsu-san, [REDACTED], yakuza, dan vs, undertale/deltarune, community, trolls, freakazoid, bill and ted, half life but the ai is self aware, regular show, mob psycho 100, count duckula, sonic, time squad, fallout new vegas, also a few obscurer movies or such. & of course some im embarrassed to mention bc they suck bad in some way or another ooor i regret ever liking. plus all the stray bits ive drawn for other people or just because of things im not actually into..

24. How do you deal with artblock?

either byyy just NOT drawing for a while, or messing around trying new / random / weird stuff. sometimes even just going to another medium entirely ie (physical) collage. idk if i fully believe in art block really being a thing but i also dont remember whatever stance i had in much detail so shrug. but like yeah generally if i am struggling with getting myself to make anything or amke anything i'm remotely satisfied with i either take a break or i push through it in whatever way. actually wait one more thing i do like to do is redraws of my own old art or like screencap studies & things like that. it kind of boosts your confidence seeing how you've improved especially when you are not feeling confident in your abilities, and i just find imitating references or others' drawings easier than doing anything from scratch in times like those

Hayal takımı!!! Şahane ekip! Benim fanatikliğimin çıkış noktası olan dizi. Park Seo-Joon var, yanına Parkk Hyung-Sik koymuşlar, bir de BTS’in göz bebeği Kim Tae-Hyung(V)’yi ikna etmişler. Daha ne olsun. Wooga Squad’ın temelleri atılmış. Çekimler sırasında Seo-Joon ve Hyung-sik o kadar iyi anlaşınca set sonrasında Seo-Joon’un arkadaş ortamına girmek istemiş. Tae-Hyung ise bilmediği bir alanda iyi bir iş çıkartmak için Seo-Joon’dan yardım isteyince ekibe dahil olmuş. Zaten Wooga Squad’ın en küçüğü olarak her biri V’yi el üstünde tutuyor. Hatta bir sohbet sırasında Seo-Joon “onu konserde izlediğimizde ne kadar popüler olduğunu fark ettik, sahnede adeta devleşiyor” şeklinde konuşmuştu. Çünkü onlar için V küçük kardeş gibi.

Konudan çok uzaklaştım. Kırmızı çizgime denk geldi. Dizi, MÖ 1. yüzyılda Koguryo, Baekje ve Silla’dan oluşan 3 krallık döneminde; Silla’da geçiyor. Kraliçe askeri bir yapılanma kurmaya karar veriyor. Soylu ailelerin yüzü güzel olan oğullarına savaş sanatı eğitimi vererek “Hwarang” adını verdiği birliği kuruyor. Bu dizi için bir tarih dizisinden çok tarihi anekdotlar içeren tarihi bir dizi diyebilirim.

Queen Jiso (Kim Ji-Soo), tahtı elinde tutabilmek için genç yaşta tahtın varisi olan oğlu Ji Dwi Rang(Park Hyung-Sik)’ i herkesten saklayarak yönetimi elinde tutmaktadır. Kendini korumak için Hwarang’ı kurmaya karar verir. Prens ise halktan biri gibi yaşayarak tahta geçme sırasının gelmesini beklemektedir. Halk prensin kayıplara karıştığını düşünüyordur. Hiç kimse prensin yüzünü görmemiş, neye benzediğini bilmiyordur. Kraliçenin tek düşmanı diğer krallıklar değil, her dönem dizisinde olduğu gibi Silla içinde de tahta göz diken vekiller vardır. Hwarang aslında vekillerin oğlunu kraliçeye hizmet ettirerek ayaklanmalarını önlemek içinde gizli bir amaç barındırıyor.

Moo Myung (Park Seo-Joon) yakın arkadaşı Mak-Moon(Lee Kwang-Soo) ile onun ailesini bulmaya Silla’ya gelirler. Yolda prens ile karşılaşırlar ve Mak-Moon yanlışlıkla karanlıkta prensi görür. Prensin korumaları bunu fark edince, peşine düşüp “prensin yüzünü gördü” diyerek onu öldürürler. Moo Myung arkadaşını kurtarmak için geç kalır. Bunu ona yapanlardan intikam almak için yemin eder. Bunu yapabilmek içinde Mak-Moon’un kimliğine bürünüp oymuş gibi ailesi ile yaşamaya başlar. Ve tabi ki kendisi başrolümüz olduğundan Hwarang’a katılıp saraya girmenin yollarını arayacaktır.

Dizilerdeki en sevdiğim romantizm, beni en çok etkileyen arkadaşlıklar hep ‘bromans’lar oluyor. Bayılıyorum erkeklerin birbirileri ile olan o güçlü bağlarına, hayranım. Sevdiğim bütün oyuncuları çıkartsak dizinin izleyecek bir yanı kalmayacağını kabul ediyorum. Hwarang’ı izleten şeyin Hwarang cast’ı olması ikonik olmuş. Bir araya gelmek zorunda kalan, başta birbirlerinden çok da hoşlanmasalar da mecbur kalan 6 erkeğin dostluğunu izliyoruz. Park Hyung-Sik’i nasıl da özlemişim. “Strong girl Do Bong Soon” dizisinin Min-Min’iydi benim için. Beğendiğim oyuncuların dizilerini izlerim ama onu hep Min-Min olarak bellemişim ki hiç elim gitmemiş başka bir şey izlemeye. Bu diziyle onu da yıkmış oldum. Şahaneydiler. Seo-Joon ile özellikle parıl parıl parlıyorlardı. BTS’den Kim Tae-Hyung‘un yanı sıra , Shinee grubunun üyesi olan Minho da Hwarang ekibindeydi. Onunla ve sesiyle de burada tanışmış olduk.

Moo Myung (Park Seo-Joon); fakir bir hayat yaşamış arkadaşları için kendini feda edebilecek lider ruhlu bir gençtir. Köpek-Kuş lakabı ile bilinir. Sessiz sakin ama net bir duruşu vardır.

Sam Maek Jong / Ji Dwi Rang (Park Hyung-Sik); kendisi sürgün bir prenstir. Annesinin taht sevdası yüzünden saklanarak yaşamak zorunda kalmıştır. Bir şekilde Hwarang’a katılarak kaleyi içten fethetmeyi amaçlar. Burada biraz yorum katmam gerekirse, çok pasifti. Öyle böyle değil. Ben en azından bir kral duruşuna tavrına sahip olmasını beklerdim. Önünde sonunda annesi çekilmek zorunda kalacak ve tahta çıkacak kişi olacaktı. Ama hiç o ışığı taşımıyordu. Bunun suçlusu senaryoydu muhtemelen. Daha net ve kararlı bir karakter yazmış olmalarını isterdim.

Soo Ho Rang (Minho); Kraliçenin destekçisi olan soylu bir ailenin oğludur. Bütün kızlara mavi boncuk dağıtırken, aslında gönlü kraliçededir. Onun gözünde hiçbir kadın kraliçeye denk değildir.

Ban Ryu Rang (Do Ji-Han); Kraliçenin düşman ailelerinden birinin oğludur. Ho-Rang’ın en büyük rakibidir. Sessiz, sinirli ve en soğuk üyedir. Babalarının düşmanlıklarını devam ettirmeye çalışıyorlardır.

Yeo Wool Rang (Jo Yoon-Woo); grubun en femineni ve en güzel görünenidir. Hikayeye çok bir katkısı olmayan etkisiz eleman olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

Ve Han Sung Rang (Kim Tae-Hyung); sevimli, şımarık ve en çocuksu Hwarang’dı. Aile ismi nedeni ile istemeden Hwarang’a katılmak zorunda kalmıştır. Gerçek hayatta Seo-Joon’a olduğu gibi dizideki karakteri de Moo Myung’a kendini yakın hissettiği için onun etrafında dolaşırken bol bol görüyoruz. Çekimlerde kendi sahnelerinden önce Seo-Joon’a gidip “bu işi ilk kez yapıyorum ve iyi bir şekilde yapmak istiyorum, yardımcı olur musun?” diye sormuş. Seo-Joon ise adeta bir oyuncu koçu gibi her sahnesinden önce onunla ezber yaparak onu sahneye hazırlamış. O zamandan beride çok yakın arkadaş olmuşlar. Hatta bir sohbetlerinde şakayla karışık bütün oyuncuların öyle olmadığını herkese aynı şekilde yaklaşmaması gerektiğini tembihliyordu.

Ve dizideki tek kadın karakter olmasa da ön plandaki tek kadın olan A-Ro(Go Ara) vardı. Dizinin başında ölen Mak-Moon’ın gerçek kız kardeşiydi. Hem sahte abisi Moo Myung hem de gizli prens Maek Jong ile yakınlaşmalar yaşayan bu hanım kızımız, düşük sınıf bir anneden doğmuştur. Babasının soylu olması önemsizdir. Babası o dönemin doktoru olduğu için onun çıraklığını yapar. Ek gelir için ise kadınlara müstehcen hikayeler anlatır.

Özetleyecek olursam, tatlı sert bir arkadaşlık hikayesi izledik diyebiliriz. Dizinin akışındaki aşk hikayesinden çok bromansin ön planda olduğu sıcak bir diziydi. Havasında asla ağırlık yoktu. Çok da ciddi olmayan bir atmosferde çok keyfi bir hikaye anlatılıyordu. Dizi müzikleri içinde ise BTS’den Jin ile V’nin eseri olan bir şarkı yer alıyor.

"You can let them know then. Give a stray cat a home." People loved to feel like good people, and that was an absurdly easy way to do so in Ciel's opinion. "That would be appreciated, thank you." He said with a nod, offering the smallest of smiles. "I just got past the spring allergy season. I'd rather not have them kick back in again because of a random cat and have to go in for the day."

Encontrei um dia esse Dorama perdido na Netflix, já tinha escutado falar mas nunca tinha visto.

O Dorama é bem legal, me lembra um pouco aquele da IU (Moon Lovers), no sentido que a protagonista convive com um monte de homem bonito kkkk.

🎬 HISTÓRIA:

No Reino de Silla, o jovem rei governa das sombras, pois sua mãe teme que inimigos tentem assassiná-lo. Para consolidar seu poder, a rainha cria os Hwarang, um grupo de jovens guerreiros nobres treinados para proteger o reino.

Entre eles está Moo Myung (Park Seo-joon), um plebeu que assume a identidade de seu falecido melhor amigo, jurando vingança contra os poderosos que causaram sua morte. No meio de lutas políticas e rivalidades, ele conhece Ah Ro (Go Ara), uma jovem médica de origem mista (nobre e plebeia). Ah Ro acaba se envolvendo em um triângulo amoroso entre Moo Myung e Sam Maek-jong, sem saber que este último é o rei disfarçado.

Se você gosta de Doramas de Época, triângulo amoroso e assuntos de guerra, vale a pena dar uma chance ����

Jin Xiaobao: Blind date with Patroclus. Him? Miss a party? Never in a million years would he do that. He is going to dress up in his best outfit and party hard! Though, he might be in an isolated place to recover since he isn't over the episode he had the night before, but as long as he's heated up he can suck it up. (0/??)

Julian Alfred "Jaskier" (Or Dandelion if your poetic) Pankratz: Going with Doom/Myeol Mang. He's another one that wouldn't miss it for the world. He's kind of sad he's not performing since he's written a few love songs, but it's okay because he can serenade is date or offer up his services to sing for couples. Will be dancing, drinking and making merriment (3/Yennefer; mischiefxmuses, Ali; devilsmenu, Ciri; intxthevxid)

Kaoru Sakurayashiki: Blind date with Stiles. He's there for business opportunities so he'll be mingling and trying to stick to the sides. It probably won't last, especially since he's on a blind date, but maybe it'll break him out of it and goes with the flow. (1/Stiles Stilinski; strawbrryrush)

Kaul Nikoyan: Going with Jake Long. He will definitely be participating in things and having fun, but he also likes to keep a level head and stay in the background sometimes to make sure things are good. (1/Kaul Lan; rcvcrics)

Kili Oakenshield: Going alone. If there's any other people who are going alone want to meet up with Kili that would be awesome! He will surely know how to party by drinking, dancing on tables and partyign up dwarven style. May or may not steal a painting just for funsies or to test security (0/??)

Lan Jingyi: Going will Belphie. He's going to try to behave but art doesn't do it for him. He might try to climb the sculptors if there is any, might poke the glass to see if it's real. He's bringing his sword because what do you mean he can't bring it? Have they seen how dangerous this place can be? Might cause chaos for fun either way, he's probably going to be hated by security. Lan Xichen: Going with Nie Mingjue. He doesn't know why, but parties now make him feel uneasy. It's not enough to not go, especially when he has Nie Mingjue by his side, but he's more inclined to just watch and drink the water. If he has any alcohol, even a little sip, it's game over. Boy will be drunk for the whole day since he doesn't remember he can use his core to dissipate it. (0/??)

Legolas Thranduilson: Going with Bloo. May or may not win a drinking contest by drinking a lot and being regal about it, but no one is there to stop him so why not. Lu Ten: Going with Jae Yoo. He's never been to a Valentine's Day party. Never even heard of it before so he'll be asking a lot of questions on it. He'll still be having fun btu he has no idea on the context (0/??)

Luo Binghe: Going with Shen Qingqiu. This man is obsessed with his husband and since it's Valentine's Day he is making it everyone problem with how much he loves him. Might be grumpy to be away from him but it's okay, he can still have fun. (0/??)

Maik Tarmingu: Going with Aedhan. He's going to lay back, have a drink, and remain calm, but he will fight if necessary and he'll also find Kaul Hilo if he can. He'll also be around Aedhan and learn to be somewhat calm and normal (1/Kaul Lan; rcvcrics)

Markl: Going with Max Lightwood Bane. He's having the time of his life learning about Valentine's Day and just having fun at the party. May or may not do some little magic just for funsies. Just to enhance the mood (0/??)

Shen Wei: Going alone. He's only going to feel more human and to make sure he doesn't need to be the Ghost Slayer and protect people. He might be persuaded to dance and have fun, but will mostly people watch (0/??)

Stolas Goetia: Going with Blitz. He's going to struggle to not drink and probably will get drunk and drown his sorrows. He doesn't even remember being poor and kicked out or anything. He's just not doing well, and this party might be a distraction or make things worse. So, someone please distract him (3/Cordelia; Mischiefxmuses, Beetlejuice; Hiddendarkrosesx, Satana; devilsmenu)
