Many vineyards dot the land, and in town the Museo de la Vid y el Vino explains the process of winemaking. Strangetown (Las Rarezas) if the inhabitants were Latin Americans Hispanic
Latin Americans is crossed out because I initially included Brazil here, but decided this post would be for Hispanic Heritage Month. Spain is not included for the same reason LOL. I included Brazil anyway but it will be in italics. I know that Brazil is not a Hispanic country, I'm just lazy to change it
EDIT: I DID NOT INCLUDE AJAY, I FORGOT ABOUT HIM LMFAAOOOO now yes sorry Ajay

OKAY here we go
The Curious Brothers and Jenny Smith: Argentine-Bolivians, they would specifically come from the province of Salta lmfoej, I only maintain this because I saw an illustration of a guy similar to Pascal drinking mate. Kitty would be Argentine and Glarn would be Bolivian 🧉
Johnny and Jill Smith: Argentinian, yas queen
Pol. Smith: Pol was not born on earth, but during his years of adaptation on earth he lived in Mexico, that is why he would say that he is Mexican, only that he was born in Veracruz JEODHEOEKR
(*) The Muenda family (Olive and Ophelia's family): I like to think that they are of Brazilian origin or from some Lusitano speaking country. Olive and Willow come from Porto Alegre, but Ophelia was born in São Paulo
Ichabod Specter: Puerto Rican, Afro-Latino king ❤️‍🩹 he comes from San Juan... He loves mofongo
Nervous Subject: Chilean-Brazilian, was born in Arica, Chile, while Olive was fleeing justice... accused of murder AH... 😔
Circe Beaker: Circe would be from Bolivia, specifically from the department of Beni... Although she would hate caporales omg she's so fake booooo, love her anyway
Loki and Erin Beaker: Swedish-Uruguayan, their parents are Swedish but they were born in Río Negro. Loki and Pascal hate each other 😝 /j
The Grunts: Chileans, Buzz was born in Santiago and that's why I hate him... His children were born in Calama... Tank reminds me of my cousin 🧠
Kristen Loste: Costa Rican, IDK WHYY She just gives me the vibe that she was born in some small town on the outskirts of San José (too specific idc)
Lola and Chloe Singles: Bolivians, they were born in Bolivia when Glarn still lived in his native country and as a good Hispanic father he abandoned them. Glabe is Paraguayan 🫶
Ajay Loner: Since I forgot to include Ajay, he would be Paraguayan because he would be like his country, he doesn't exist (BROMA, LOS AMO MUCHO PARAGUAYOS USTEDES Y NOSOTROS NOS ENTENDEMOS BIEN PQ NINGUNO DE NOSOTROS HABLA BIEN ESPAÑOL OK 🇨🇱🤝🇵🇾)

Martín Miguel de Güemes:
a. He was a gaucho (very important), not your classic white argentinian procer! and for that he was kind of deleted from history for many time 😥. He had a cool beard. Also had an iconic sister✨. Plus his relationship with Belgrano it's so interesting and the letters they sent each other are kinda fruity. Durante la mayor parte del siglo xix, tanto en Salta como en el resto de la Argentina, la figura de Güemes fue interpretada solamente como la de un caudillo que había soliviantado a las masas campesinas contra las clases altas de la sociedad, situación que el patriotismo demostrado a lo largo de su carrera militar no alcanzaba a compensar."/ "Strategically, Güemes's performance in the Argentine War of Independence was crucial: without his desperate resistance it would not have been possible to defend the northern border of the current country, nor would the campaigns of General San Martín have been possible that allowed Chile to obtain both its Independence and the subsequent Independence of Peru. Under his command, the cities of Salta and Jujuy and his campaign defended the rest of the provinces below, without outside help. However, in Buenos Aires Güemes was not seen that way: the news of his death was published under the title "We already have one less cacique"; The article that announced it demonstrated more relief for the death of an ideological enemy than regret for the loss of the city of Salta in royalist hands. During most of the 19th century, both in Salta and in the rest of Argentina, the figure of Güemes was interpreted only as that of a leader who had stirred up the peasant masses against the upper classes of society, a situation that patriotism demonstrated throughout his military career was not enough to compensate."
Juana Azurduy:
a. “Fue una patriota del Alto Perú (actual Bolivia) que luchó en las guerras de independencia hispanoamericanas por la emancipación del Virreinato del Río de la Plata contra la Monarquía española y asumió la comandancia de las guerras que conformaron la denominada Republiqueta de La Laguna, por lo que su memoria es honrada en Argentina y en Bolivia”

Does Tina have any favorite provinces? As in who she gets along with the most or has a strong relationship? Does she also have any of the provinces she doesn't like or doesn't get along with?
please refer to Lou's map for reference
I think Tierra del Fuego (The most southern one) is one of her special boys, mainly because he also represents the antartic territory which I previously mentioned is one of Tina's major interests and jobs! I think he is a young teen around 14-15
Her strongest relationship is undoubtedly with Buenos Aires, for better or for worse. They have a very intimate relationship and they trust each other with almost everything
Córdoba and Tucumán are also like unofficial brothers for her, mainly because she spent her early childhood being raised in their homes and has a strong feeling of familiarity with them. I also think she has a special affection for Santiago del Estero who proved to be a rather loyal province regarding her interests as a nation
I also think she has a positive relationship with Mendoza and Salta, but as for the rest of them I don't think there's a province she dislikes, but rather provinces she interacts with less and hasn't got to know them in a personal level

Little Bird: Chapter 11 is out on AO3
Note: there is a map at the end of the excerpt.
“So, when did you see the light?” she asked her father.
No, she was still on affectionate terms with him, even though the tension was already building, the doubts accumulating.
She must have asked something like, “When did you realize that you made a mistake in raising me that way?”
And then, she tried to answer herself, proposing, “When they told you I would only live up to twenty-two?”
While in Paradis, on her mission, she never let herself entertain the thought of what it would be when she returned home. She couldn’t afford the luxury of that; she couldn’t let herself daydream as if she was someone like Jean.
In the crystal, it was different.
Some days, or rather, some unaccounted amounts of time, the darkness around her was so deep, the silence so deflating, she would think of drowning if she didn’t have something to keep her anchored.
The years passed. She had a rough sense of how many, for Armin read her the newspaper often; he would even summarize some happenings, tentatively thinking that if she only became conscious then, she would feel alienated by an ongoing conversation.
Despite the darkness of the thought, or maybe exactly because of it, those were her moments of light.
So, she knew by then that she had six more years, maybe five, now, to get back home.
(continue here)
Oh, and we have a map of the general region of untrampled territory we're dealing with in the Marleyan continent, as in, the province of Cotta and surroundings provinces*. I will post it on the website as well, but for now please know that MATH DOES NOT EXIST, ok? * I should have marked the line of the end of the Rumbling, but consider Monte Forca and Fort Salta as a boundary, mh?

Congratulations to Argentina for winning the Copa America! Decided to remake something I had done a while ago.

Pretty much a headcanon map of where I locate every player to be from! :D
I'm not sure to do detailed location notes in either this post or a separate post/reblog, but at least I'm mentioning the province names that got covered up by the sprites:
Jorge Ortega: La Pampa
Julio Acosta: Corrientes 🧉
Roberto Torres: Salta
Lionel Cruz: Misiones
Also I couldn't put Teres and co together in the actual place CABA is located (Which is covered by Mario)... Apologies for that, all maps I've found are just that small :(

An Argentinian artist is combating his country’s ongoing inflation crisis by selling miniature paintings on depreciated banknotes.
Sergio Guillermo Diaz, a painter and museum worker from the northern province of Salta, has been raising the value of increasingly valueless currency to support his family. From two-peso bills to 1,000-peso notes — which are now worth about $5 — Diaz renders pop culture icons and historic artworks directly on their facades.
