This mentor talks of magical fortunes and smells always of fresh fruit, it was a dream. Until...one big fortune comes true, and Norah and the balance of the world is in danger. Thrown out of what she carved as her shell she treads the dangerous lands of the woods, searching for answers and solutions. If only a miniature nipping dragon, an amateur wizard, and her sworn enemy weren't following her. If only she could be alone, but for now, she keeps one foot in front of the other....Oh can those three be quiet-!

Did not do any Spanish today since I took a break. Did start reading The Iliad though. Had to reread chapter one because I pretty much forgot what happened. I am actually annotating this book for a change. So far it's been fun.. hopefully I'll remember to take some photos for here.

I think I'm getting better at recognising kanji and reading hiragana. The Saiki K ep headers are good practice!

Last song: as I type this I'm listening to "elevator man" by oingo of boingo. Otherwise I listen to a LOT of blur.

Favourite colour: probably yellow, but black is also good.

Last book: the last book I finished was "Blood, Bullets and Blue Stratos", the first in the terrible Life on Mars book series sequel to the TV series, written by the brother of one of the original writers. It was, uh, not good. The last normal book I finished was "The Line of Beauty" by Alan Hollinghurst, which is about a gay man in the 80s who rents a room in the house of a member of Margaret Thatcher's cabinet. It was significantly better. I'm currently reading about 5 books, but the ones I'm reading the most at the moment are "Very Good, Jeeves" by P.G. Wodehouse (fiction, comedy. Third in the Jeeves series) and "Servants of the People" by Andrew Rawnsley (non-fiction. Contemporary history of New Labour).

Last movie: the last thing I logged on Letterboxd was "Lee and Herring Live", which was a much worse stage version of the Fist of Fun TV and radio show. If we skip the Stewart Lee stand-up specials and the New Labour documentaries (are you starting to sense a pattern here) then the last normal films I watched were "Kiki's Delivery Service", which I watched with friends, and "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers", which I watched on my own.

Last TV show: I'm currently part-way through over 20 shows due to an inability to ever finish things, but also this tag game has come at an extremely unfortunate time because, in a continuation of a common theme here, the TV show I'm most actively watching at the moment is "This Morning with Richard Not Judy", and the last show I finished was "Fist of Fun". Both star Stewart Lee. Help. Other than that the last show I watched was the (excellent) Soviet adaptation of Sherlock Holmes (with friends) and "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K" (on my own).

Sweet/spicy/savoury: Savoury. I have an embarrassingly low spice tolerance and otherwise I just prefer savoury stuff. I am probably the only person in the world whose parents have told them off for not eating enough sweets.

Relationship status: I refer you to my blog header + description.

Last thing I googled: "TypeError: not all arguments converted during string formatting psycopg2". A glimpse for you all into the exciting life of a computer science student.

Current obsession: I think that it is fairly easy to deduce this by reading through my previous answers. I believe in you. (It's Stewart Lee (the comedian) and New Labour (the version of a UK political party that existed 1994-2010)). Otherwise my longest-lasting interests are Life on Mars (which is why I'm subjecting myself to the books), Dan and Phil and Jack and Dean (youtubers all get quarantined in my youtuber sideblog which is why followers of this blog rarely/never see me posting about them).

Looking forward to: Dan and Phil show in January! Also handing in my fucking mid-project report. I'm sick of it already and I haven't even started on the 5000-word written part (😭😭😭)
