Thanks a lot to everyone who's been following me through this journey. 2023 was one of the worst year of my life but also one of the best weirdly so let's hope 2024 will be better for everyone ♥

1/ The Moonlight/Moonwood Tales concept : Based on the lore that came with the werewolves pack, I imagined a story that would explain everything between the werewolves, vampires and spellcasters. I actually prepared a plan for season 1 ... Maybe I'll post it next year ?

2/ The stories I planned for this year but so far, only Melodia is still going. DH3 will start next year sadly and Another Side has been cancelled because of lack of time and a bad computer.

8/ The Melodia musical video part : it actually was awesome and fun to create but it took me an entire month just for this little video. I decided to stick to a more boring regular way to post this story. I also don't have a lot of readers so far so I guess they will forgive me. I still see it as one of my biggest achievement here though so check it if you can ^^ I love how the episode turns into a musical movie

If you get Isekai-ed in Twisted Wonderland what would you do ?

Well me personally it depends :

In the case where I still have the plot knowledge:

1- I'll pray that I have a System even the Original Game Mechanism will do, and knowing how Isekai in Games works, there is a 100% chance that a System will be there.

2- If I have a System, I'll make sure to learn basic physical skills, a powerful punch and kick should put the boys straight.

3- Resources, if Rook can use his bow and arrows then I too will learn how to use that thing to hunt my own food. Cause Crowley is a piece of shit, I mean have you seen how he threatened us with taking food during chapter 3 ??? Sure he didn't say it out loud but hinted at it.

4- Knowing my dumbass I would be dead back in the real world so searching for a way to get citizenship is a MUST do.

5- The magic hammer, I shall get my hand on that thing.

6- Money ? The System covers that with Missions.

7- Relationships, uuuh what can I say ? The Dwarf Mines thing will never happen with me there I would let the trio deal with that shit alone, I am not the "Oh I should make sure the plot progress as it should" kind of person, bitch fuck that shit ! I want to live and I am clumsy as fuck, besides with how annoying Grim is I would have beaten some respect in him, that's why I would hope that Yuu is there to deal with that part, I am realistic not an idiot thank you.

Also being friends with Ace is a huge no for me, cause let's be fr for a moment and lets push our love for him to the side, are you telling me you're gonna become friends with the person who mocked you the first time they spoke to you ? The answer is no, of course not.

Not to mention at the rate that I am in, Idia has a better chance of getting friends more than me. (<_<)

8- I will NEVER make a contract with Azul, keep that golden trap away from me, so if Yuu isn't there to deal with it, I will never sign that shit to save anyones ass, you caused yourself that problem now swim in it.

Another Note : With Yuu being there it means we get kicked out from Ramshackle because they are stupid, and I am a vengeful person, I will make it so hard for them to finish that contact which means, one way or another I'll get that picture before them hide it, then sneak in Azul's vault take the Idiot Duos contract and keep it (not Deuce I love Deuce) and never let them get away. (Yes I am horrible)

9- When I get my shit together move away from Sage Island and live in peace. But that will take a long time. And if I have to suffer so does everyone.

Now In case I don't have a system but still know how the plot goes :

1- Get the magic hammer

2- See if Glyphs work (Owl House Fan) if they do good ! If they don't shit

3- Same as above, learn how to use a bow and hunt for my own food.

4- Follow the idiots to the Dwarf Mines and get the blot stone before Grim eats it and make sure HE DOES NOT EAT IT ! Then innocently walk up to Ortho who will scan me, ask for the blot rock for research I innocently ask why, he explains takes me to Idia who explains more and I ask something in exchange for it, I will explain to him that I am from another world, can't return and need citizenship, he will accept because hey ! Blot rocks are good for research !

5- Go around for a job, see if Sam can hire me if he can't... well Azul it is but I am bringing Ortho with me to help me get a good deal so I won’t get scammed.

6- If the Glyphs do work then I'll be praying for a Palisman, I guess ask the fairies if they have a tree seed that looks like a blue snail carapace ? If they do have it good, if they don't have it, well there goes another dream in the air.

7- Publish "Villain/Villainess Trope" cause Twisted Wonderland most likely doesn't have that, I will ask Ortho to help me by giving me tips on how to make it popular quickly.

8- Learn how to use potion in the case where Glyphs don't work, I mean have you seen what Yzma does with those things ??

So far the pregnancy has been going well. I am around 34 weeks into the pregnancy, and Kenny has made sure to be at every appointment, not wanting to miss a thing during this pregnancy. I honestly found it so cute, he was beyond excited to meet our baby. When we found out we were having a girl Kenny wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Despite being on the road and his injuries flaring up he still managed to build the most perfect nursery for our little girl. He insisted on doing it himself, he painted the room a sage green wanting it to be gender neutral. I noticed some photos on the wall and I cried when I saw what they were, photos of Kenny and I in Japan. There was even a picture of us alongside the Bucks and some of our other friends in Japan. It was taken the day Kenny and I met all those years ago in Japan. 

I tried my best to make it to the weekly shows, missing everything about wrestling. Being 34 weeks pregnant I knew baby girl could come any day now and I would only be at a few more shows before the baby was born so I was so excited when I found out I could attend Revolution to support my best friends against The House Of Black. I got to see some of my fellow wrestlers who I'd been missing and they couldn't wait for me to return back to the ring. 

Soon it was time for the match and I couldn't wait. Kenny placed a kiss on my stomach and talked to our baby as we waited for his que to go out. 

“I’ll be right back little one, I’m going to kick some ass and then we can go out for ice cream. I know Mom has really been craving some mint chocolate chip!” Kenny said, kneeling at my bump. Placing delicate kisses to the baby.

[(A/N)]: I mentioned before that I already fell into the Valorant rabbit hole. I have also been listening to Odd Banker - Orch Compression on loop and it’s the same music used for the Chamber trailer. It fits his character so well!

[(A/N #2)]: For the alias I used in this AU came from a concept art before Chamber was announced and he originally was supposed to be Deadeye. Also I need to clarify their age is between 16-18 (Yes, that young for an agent).

MC/Yuu Fabron, a.k.a. Agent Deadeye, is another agent for the Valorant Protocol and is related to Chamber as they’re siblings. MC/Yuu is in their early-to-late teen years, and already they want to follow their brother’s footsteps as an agent and weapon designer.

Although the Fabron duo are great assets to the Protocol.

It was a tragedy for Agent Deadeye.

They were taken out during a mission gone wrong, but thanks to Sage, they are slowly recovering. Though there’s a problem: they’re in a comatose state.

It seems the young agent is out of commission until time would tell.

Now MC/Yuu Fabron, in their subconscious mind, fell somewhere and somehow got trapped into a weird world where magic actually exists.

The first time MC/Yuu came to Twisted Wonderland was when they almost shot Grim after being released from the confines of a coffin they were trapped inside.

Next, they shot at Crowley, nearly missing him by passing his ear.

Then after, both Crowley and Grim start running away from MC/Yuu.

Agent!MC/Yuu: *Chasing after the headmaster and Grim* I’m going to kill you for deceiving me! I know you Omega agents trapped me in a simulation to break me for intel!

Crowley: What are they talking about?!

Grim: How should I know?!!

When the two got to the ceremony, Crowley barely lock the doors but a card flies through the crack and incomes MC/Yuu teleporting inside the Mirror Chamber.

Everyone was surprised by the furious young agent.

Once they revealed themselves holding their Headhunter out, shit may go down.

After the shenanigans calmed down and the ceremony continued smoothly, MC/Yuu was taken to Crowley’s office.

Inside of the room, the agent explains they’re part of a protocol with other agents like them and their goal is to prevent the Omega Earth and its doubles from stealing a material called Radianite.

Then it’s Crowley’s turn to explain they’re in Twisted Wonderland and they’re in Night Raven College, an All Boy’s school for magical academics.

Now that everything clears up, it seems Agent Deadeye has another mission: surviving back to school.

“What’s happening?” Amy squeaked clutching her head.

“A powerful energy forcibly removed us from cyberspace and severed our connection with Sonic!” Tails informed, massaging his temples.

“English Tails!” Knuckles shouted, clearly recoiling from whatever pain he was in.

“Something pushed us out of cyberspace and Sonic might be in danger!” Tails grumbled back.

Knuckles frowned; he turned immediately jumping on the defensive when he saw Eggman approach. “What’s going on Eggman?” Knuckles demanded, razing his fists, “Is this your doing?”

“Calm down,” Eggman tisked, “Sage and that supersonic rat went to defeat that planet up there,” he pointed to the sky.

“But somethings gone wrong,”

“What?” knuckles demanded.

“I know just as much as you do about that, unfortunately,” he snarled.

Eggman turned to the only member of the trio with any brains. “You, Miles, tell me what you know,”

“You seem awfully concerned.”

“Of course, I’m concerned, Fox! My dau- my life is at stake,” he stumbled. “and I need to know as much as I can NOW!”

I know we compare Fodlan's crest to Holy blood, but did we ever mentionned how it is also very similar to how dragon Veins were transmitted ? I mean, there is total of 12 Heroes who got blood from the Nabateans (because of genocide) while in Fates, we got 12 Ancient divine dragon who gave their blood to several rulers. At least one of those 12 individuals plays a big parts in the plot and as an antagonistic figure at that (Anankos/Nemesis). The dragon have magical blood that helps grow older slower and gives you magic power you might transmitt to your descendant which is the case of the Nohrian, the Hoshidan and the Foldan society (but not of Laslow, Selena and Odin for reasons) and they got their magical weapon from them. The only difference being... the lack of consent of the Nabateans in all of this.

I see what you're getting at, but at the same time... are there really 12 dragons in Fates? I remember there being far, far less (The Dawn and Dusk dragons where the royals got their Dragon Veins from, Anankos which is where Corrin and Lilith got theirs (also Soulnankos temporarily gave the Awakening trio Dragon Veins), the Rainbow Sage... maybe the Ice Dragon? None of the latter two give Dragon Veins though, although the Tribes do get power over their own element so *shrug*)

Anyway. I believe the reason Dragon Veins are almost never equated to Holy Blood and Crests is that while they do share some similarities in how they function (carrying over through generations, being initially acquired by drinking dragon blood, granting superhuman powers), Dragon Veins function the same no matter their origin, regardless if it came for the Dawn or Dusk Dragons or Anankos.

And also, barring maybe Yato, none of the Fates Sacred Weapons (or whatever they're called I don't remember) seem to explicitly need a Dragon Vein to be used? In fact if I remember some supports correctly you actually need a great amount of skill to be able to properly wield them (Kiragi's support with Takumi mentions that he is still unable to either call or draw the magical string of Fujin Yumi, and the fact that none of the Gen 2 royals are able to use their parents' Legendary Weapons in the main timelines, rather only in Heirs of Fate). And also, no one covets for Dragon Veins in the same way they tend to crave Holy Blood and Crests.

But regardless, yeah. Even Dragon Veins were willingly given by humanity (by either mating between dragons and humans or offering of blood) just like Holy Blood while Crests... absolutely did not.

(realized this answer is really messy due to my memories of Fates lore being kinda foggy, if it's not too much trouble @nowis-scales could you please give a second opinion as the local Fates expert? :D )

Jay: It’s essential for the teams in training to participate, which means that it’ll be the very first event competition for the rookies.

Jay: Event competitions differ from the usual LOM where one fights for victory, since it has a strong nuance of an exhibition to entertain the citizens.  

Jay: And because you experience it as a team, you will be able to strengthen the bonds with your other teammates if all goes well. 

Sage: ….!

Jay: I can’t tell if it will solve your worries, but you can try to utilize the Halloween League to your advantage for starters.

New Goth Household: Chapter 2, Part 1

Black Widow aspiring Alexander is engaged to elder James. He and his two best friends have moved into the mansion owned by James while they finish university.

In this part the household catch up over breakfast. Later they head to the library where the main trio gossip more than study.

Staying in Willow Creek but moving up from Courtyard Lane to the Sage Estates. Here lies a mansion which has been in the Ryan family for several hundred years. Rather than end his days alone, James has moved in his young fiancé Alexander who is accompanied by his two best friends, Joey and Keira.

James has had a rough life. Despite growing up cushioned by his wealth and white privilege his strict father envisioned a specific life, one that did not allow his son being gay. At his fathers behest he married wealthy debutante Ophelia and endured decades of marriage by her side.

Alexander met James and despite their age difference fell hard for the man who kept things close to his chest. James grappled with his feelings but in the end could not resist the Goth. Finding strength in love he announced his feelings to Ophelia. Yeah, she had a cardiac explosion in response.

With the disappearance of his mother, and the death of his father, Alexander Goth is looking forward to the stability marriage can provide. He would have liked to have his younger brother Milton with him, but Dina Caliente is not budging after wrangling control of the Goth fortune and guardianship.

Joey York may be a tech genius, graduating high school early and already having maxed his programming skill, but can't fight his inherited bro trait. Boy loves to party and his life aspiration is to woohoo 30 different sims. Being aromantic he has no desire for romantic sentiment anyway.

Keira Foster dreams of finding her soulmate. She's left her broken teenage romance behind and has thrown herself into her studies. Despite dreaming of finding the one, she is a loner and prefers spending time with her friends and family that she is close to.

The household is up early for breakfast. A new university term has begun for the young adults.

Joey is doing a distinguished degree in computer science. He wants to be a tech guru and entrepreneur. His core class is Breaking Bad Botnets (mischief) while he's chosen Get Knit (knitting) for his elective. Since he started university as a teen he only needs those two to graduate.

Keira is studying a distinguished degree in biology. Her core classes are The Sunlight Cycle (gardening) and The Mathematics of Biology (logic). For her elective she's challenging herself with Baking Macarons and Macaroons (baking). She's not too sure what her plans after university are yet.

When everyone has made an acceptable start they have a late lunch and head to the university library.

So what are your top headcanons on Keira? Like I know a lot of people give her crap because of what happened in Jak 2 and how ND basically just nerfed her character in J3 only to make her more relevant in Jak X.

Número uno, I WILL return to this eventually because I'm not entirely done yet with the entire JND franchise and everything I am thinking about will probably become more solidified when I finish up 2-X. Número dos, when it comes to the "female character who often gets shafted by the narrative in a playstation game" category of character (kyrie devil may cry 4, kairi kingdom hearts), I will basically go right to their defense no matter what, so chances are I'll stick by Keira's side despite the character nerfing.

That being said, I do have some ideas....

Based on what I've played so far of Jak 2 + all of Jak 1, Keira was probably the most well set for acclimating to a 300+ year timeskip. She's a freakin mechanic and is skilled with her hands, so of course she picks up building as a job once she gets time skipped, and racing as well because that's popular at the time. I have a feeling if time shenanigans permit Keira was also the person who created the original prototype for the zoomers used in JND2 before the timeskip (kind of like how Elsie Bray/the Exo Stranger from Destiny 2 made the sparrow/bike prototypes in that game). She can fix and mod cars and probably is the one who modified Jak's main car in jak X to be a one seater instead of 2. She also has an interest in precursor tech and knows how some of that works, so hypothetically speaking she could pilot a mecha/gundam if she wanted to or incorporate it into her work. If the JND games didn't go the way that they did sequel wise, I think Keira would have definitely become a sage, but probably not the Green sage because she doesn't fall into the traditional "the party healer is a girl" trope (just like her dad) and is more of a technical person. My brain says blue eco.

Character dynamics wise... I don't know yet, but Keira might've been entirely by herself for 2 years out there in Haven working on the time machine zoomer thang alongside the racing gigs she did (not including the people Krew might've sent to her or Erol showing up to hit on her), which might've worn away at her spunk/made her more solitary by virtue of being by herself but she stays optimistic anyway. I do feel like she would be friends with Tess considering she's kind of "normal" and level headed compared to her old group (jak, dax, samos). Ashelin might intimidate her or awaken her bisexuality I dont make the rules, but also remember that I haven't beaten all the games and don't know if they actually all interact at least once in game. If they don't, that means more stuff for me to write!!!

Keira and Daxter would probably work together willingly, even though Dax annoys her. All I'm saying is if Keira had found out even earlier before the 2 year skip that Jak was being held captive in the palace, she would've inverse The Escapists that shit alongside Dax and try and break Jak out of there. She does know where the maintenance elevators are in the area, so a full blown heist doesn't seem too outlandish. She's still got spunk to her even after 2 years with none of her friends/loved ones around her, so she can banter for longer with Daxter if they got the time. Out of the original Sandover trio, she's the middle ground between Dax and Jak and their mediator. She isn't above duct taping Dax to the wall if anything gets too out of hand though

This part is gonna sound a little self-indulgent, but this is my house . Keira and Jak literally share interests so of course they're gonna be interested in eachother. Honestly I think Keira's the one wearing the pants between them, not because Jak doesn't take the initiative with her, but because he respects her and doesn't see a need to step in/insert himself into what she does. Same goes with Keira, there's mutual respect and they help each other out, but she is more outgoing than Jak is and can set him in the right direction if anything bad happens. She might not entirely understand what happened to Jak during those 2 years he was MIA, but she still tries to make sure he's OK/be a support system for him. Also they're bi4bi I again do not make the rules.

Everyone and their mother doesn't consider The L*st Frontier canon or that it ever happened but it's also where the heaviest redesign Keira has ever had comes from. I think it's actually kinda cute. Maybe the shirt she's wearing is an old shirt of Jak's, considering he was also an avid blue collared shirt wearer. IDK that's also very self indulgent for me LMAO

Last thing, there's no way that after a long time or working with heavy machinery and power tools that Keira isn't at least a little bit muscular. Just toned a liiiiiittle bit. Like she has her tummy and arms out, you can probably see some muscle definition through there, same with her back.

Big snippet from Mizuki's past. I have one more chapter to properly plan out, 2-3 are almost done. Then big edits.

Camélia and the other girls were already there sitting in front of the fire. 

Mizuki took a spot on the unoccupied sofa and looked nervously between the trio. They looked at her as though she had interrupted some great conversation. 

“Are you settled in?” Camélia asked, 

Mizuki opened her mouth to speak and Madeleine quickly overspoke her. “The room is so nice, I can’t thank you enough for the chance to study under you.”

Camélia smiled warmly “It will be nice to teach properly again, to teach a more budding young sages-” Mizuki tensed in her seat. Camélia cleared her throat when she realised her wording “budding young minds.” Camélia waited until Mizuki had her own cup of tea before continuing. “I like being hands on with teaching my apprentices, so there will be a study period after your classes, at first it will be mostly making sure you fully understand your classwork and then it will move on to more practical lessons. I would like to make sure you can wield nouliths before they teach you, I think this method is far superior and utilises mana more efficiently. We shall pick a day that works well with our schedules.” 

Mizuki sipped her tea quietly, Camélia was clearly not used to having non-sage apprentices and even though she had picked Mizuki up almost 2 years ago now, she kept forgetting she wasn’t a part of the sage classes.

Just gonna share my thoughts on Ouranos Island story and the ending of Sonic Frontiers!

SPOILERS FOR OURANOS ISLAND AND THE END

Haha Eggman helping Sonic out is neat. But I much prefer climbing the Titan and getting the last emerald myself. It feels more hype-inducing.

Awwww Sage is so cute here! Also, are Amy’s and Sage’s memory tokens the same?? They look similar. If so, that’s pretty disappointing. But I’ll hold out hope that I just looked at it wrong.

Anyway I love how much she’s enjoying the banter between her father and his enemy

THIS BOSS…THIS BOSS WAS…lame. I’m sorry.

Listen…it looked cool. I loved the sniper rifle. But man, it was so easy to take down. I just ignored the turrets and went straight for the head for the majority of the battle. In fact, I tried to stall out phase 2 just to let the music build up the hype. I love “I’m Here” but I felt as if it was wasted.

I MEAN COME ON. WHEN PHASE 2 HIT, I GOT SO EXCITED. LIKE WHAT IN THE EVANGELION WAS THAT??

But then I got disappointed again when they didn’t even show the wings as the Titan was flying…

And I always looked forward to the “killing blow” at the end while the softer ending tone of the music played. Didn’t get tht here, the Titan just fell to its knees. Probably cause Sage needed that thing intact.

This scene was sad. Eggman didn’t want to say it to her face but he did see her as his daughter :(

At least Sage somewhat knew that her father did care for her.

Ok I’m sorry but when they revealed this…I laughed. I do not know why…the zoom in on this moon thing was just funny to me…

But while we are on the subject of this final boss, I have some strong opinions for this as someone who chose to play on hard mode

WHY DID THEY MAKE IT A BULLET HELL GAME? Like…I get the concept they were trying to pull. You fought all these titans head on but now for the final fight, you need to approach it differently. But as someone who didn’t grow up with these types of games and disliked them…this was torture. I had to keep retrying till I got 2 more lives. I even contemplated just changing difficulty and skipping the boss entirely (I didn’t because I knew “One Way Dream” wouldn’t play).

Now the monologue for the boss is pretty interesting (although I began to hate it after constantly retrying). This thing feels more like an entity of destruction. How was it created? Don’t know, but I hope it isn’t the last we see of it.

And Sage sacrificing herself ;-;

R.I.P Sage. I felt sad over her death even if I knew it was coming to some degree.

I love this scene so much. Sonic actually accepting Amy’s hug, Knuckles giving him a fist bump, and Tails giggling at them while the falling debris form shooting stars. It’s so pretty.

Eggman staring at the sky is such a beautiful scene, no words needed. You could feel what he’s feeling without needing to see his face. And when “Dear Father” played, I could feel the emotion.

Ok now as funny as this scene was….did Sonic have nothing to say about Sage sacrificing herself? I feel like Sonic would’ve at least tried to console Eggman to some degree…I don’t know, it felt weird that they glossed over that.

But I’m glad this scene also cements the fact that the trio’s plans ARE legit. They do want to go off on their own. I hope for spin off games for them!

AND NATEWANTSTOBATTLE SINGING “One Way Dream”!! IM SO HAPPY HE’S SINGING FOR AN OFFICIAL SONIC GAME! And the song is 10x more wholesome when you learn that it’s supposed to be a message from the dev team to the fans.

Hearing that song makes me confident for the future of Sonic. I doubt I’ll buy EVERY game that comes out after this…but I’ll certainly keep myself updated!

Okay, regarding the post credit scene. I have mixed feelings about this. No, it’s not about Sage surviving. I don’t mind that, because this means we get more of her and a chance to explore her character as part of Eggman’s crew rather than a mysterious ghost girl on an island.

My issue stems on the “emotional impact” of the symbol. Did we ever get confirmation on what it means? What’s the point of that symbol. I feel like seeing that symbol flash on the screen with Sage’s voice would’ve felt more impactful if we understood the weight of it. For now, I’ll go with the theory that Eggman just took some spare code from the island and of Sage to “revive” her, that’s why she has the symbol. I know it’s a nitpick but I felt cheated off of the mystery.

Welp, that’s it. I finished the game. Took me about 20 hours! I’ll write a proper review soon, don’t know when. Despite this post being a little more on the negative side, I really did enjoy the game a lot. My overall experience is positive!

It’s a solid game but the ending scenes were too rushed in my opinion. However, if this cements the next 10 years of Sonic as they plan, then I have hope.

The open world idea is definitely something that could work for Sonic games. I was running around completing puzzles just to unlock the whole map, it was so much fun

Combat was amazing, I hope the future games keep this. But maybe cool downs might be needed because it felt way too easy at times.

I do like the mini bosses, each of them had a unique combat style and you had to change the way you play in order to face them. With such simple names, they have such cool designs

Now…regarding the Titans, BEST PARTS OF THE GAMES. Like, I get that we won’t see monsters with the same type of design in future games because the story of the ancients is done. But if we could get boss battles with the same amount of excitement and thrill the titans gave, that would be perfect. (I’m literally listening to “Undefeatable” as I write this)

The story is much more mature. So I hope they keep this tone. I love the characters’ facial expressions and movements even if the models look a little stiff at times (can we please have CG scenes again? I was hoping for some when watching the trailers from the game)

My 4th Elemental Monkey

First bit, basis. The original trio are based on the Three Wise Monkeys: see no evil (-pours), hear no evil (-sears), speak no evil (-sages). The most common addition is do no evil, since it’s part of a Confucius quote that includes the others:

“Look not at what is contrary to propriety; listen not to what is contrary to propriety; speak not what is contrary to propriety; make no movement which is contrary to propriety”

I could also do “choose no evil”, “smell no evil”, or “touch no evil”, other additions from a Xunzi quote or honestly no clue for the origin of the other 2, maybe people went for senses?

“[…] makes his eyes not want to see what is not right, makes his ears not want to hear what is not right, makes his mouth not want to speak what is not right, and makes his heart not want to deliberate over what is not right”

((I could be convinced to make another monkey trio based off of choose, smell, and touch with another triangle but I’m already belaying another idea with the elemental monkeys doing this because guess who can’t stop their brain))

Now the Pokémon stuff. Since the canon monkeys are a type triangle, I gotta expand it into a square. Luckily that’s pretty easy with the Ice type. Fire is 2x to Ice, Ice is 2x to Grass, Grass is 2x to Water, Water is 2x to Fire. Added thing of Ice being 1/2x to Water while Water is 1x to Ice. This also works nicely with “freezing” being inaction, which the Wise Monkeys are meant to be against with the whole quote being used for those who choose to do nothing or ignore evil when faced with it.

Design. One thing that annoys me with the Elemental Monkeys, specifically the Simi-s, is that Simisear has no subcultural basis. Simisage is 50s American greaser inspired, which also inspired Japanese the subcultures bōsōzoku & yankee/yankī. Simipour is based around 60s & 70s hippy/beatnik subculture. Simisear? For the sake of this, I’ll say Simisear is representative of the 80s’ New Romantic subculture. This leaves me with 40s or 90s. 40s is going to be difficult because WWII, with some subcultures taking a backseat during wartime and properly getting doing at the turn of the decade — no Teddy monkey for me — with an exception being Neds, who emerged from poverty in 1930s Scotland. Poverty doesn’t exactly go away in wars. The way I see it my options are:

30s & 40s Neds

90s rave (possibly Gabber specifically, a subculture popular in the Netherlands).

90s Grunge

90s Punk

90s Britpop

Though punk would suit the typical stance of this line's basis, I think rave would work well for the top/trousers pattern this line would help complete: Pansage has green trousers and Simisage has green trousers, separate from the main body around the torso; Pansear's division is roughly in the middle but Simisear clearly has fully integrated red trousers with separate fur at the opposite side via shoulders; Panpour has a blue crop top thing and Simipour has a long blue top separate from main body around the torso. The -sages & -sears have furry tails as a result of their trousers, while the -pours have nakey tails until the tip. Since we can't do baggy, grunge is out; it was one of the main parts of grunge fashion to obscure silhouettes. The Pan- of this line would have a roughly middle division like Pansear, while the Simi- has integrated top pattern like a tracksuit and some distinct fur around the ankles like trainers. All the Pan- ones have upright hair-fur but Simipour's hair goes down. This Simi- would be the same.

Naming. Now with the trio being a quartet, I get to fix something that’s bugged me with these guys for so long: the -pours differing from the others by having their second half begin with “p” instead of “s”. If I have the Ice Types’ second half begin with “p” I can be happy, especially since it gives it an alternating order! The issue: not many ice words begin with p. Polar, permafrost but shortening that to “perm” to fit the 4 letter thing feels weird. “Pack” could work. 1 syllable, 4 letters, refers to a bunch of ice floating as one continuous mass in the ocean, works with cooking theme because “pack with flavour”, maybe a nod to pack mentality if I want to bullshit more meaning into it. That has it, Panpack and Simipack!

Also the new brother would be Calam from calamint, a type of mint with high amounts of menthol native to the UK. Mints are supposedly cold, and calamint is used in cooking. Wouldn’t join his brothers in their gym, maybe he’d just be a cook or a previous champion or E4 something. Can you tell I don’t care about him as much as my new monkey friend? I’m sure that’ll change as I try doodle designs.

I’m gonna try draw some ideas. The one issue I have so far is I think the colour fur for this line is going to have to be white and each of the monkeys are said to release elemental stuff from their head and my brain is making relevant but inappropriate links.
