I present to you, among my most comprehensive, the Mitaka Cinematic Universe (MCU).  Included here are concepts and ideas both complete and in work in various stories, storyboards, musings, daydreams and just general Vibes that I’ve played around with for the past six years.

If you ask me about any specific thing here, I will write you no fewer than 1000 words on the subject matter bc I am here for a fun time and a long time.

Introducing Sabel Transverse, my sweet boy flirting with madness and sorcery. He likes fairies more than people and he'd do almost anything for a good night's sleep. But you can't get mad at him or he'll cry.

"This world may still be plunged into oblivion, and all our works will be for naught. Oh, familiar, come to me. For I can't bear the loneliness anymore…" Sabel was raised solely by his mother, Anika. When he was 10 years old, she died to the perils of the Hyrulean countryside (understood to mean a robot shaped like Jomon pottery blew her up with lasers,) only one year before Hyrule saw Princess Zelda return. Sabel was adopted by Domri of the Sheikah, an esteemed scholar of magic and a friend of his mother. Sabel was much beloved. Domri was sentimental for the child and saw in him all his dear friend's virtues. He taught Sabel personally, aiming to pass down his collected knowledge. Only after eight years, on the day of the Upheaval, Domri realized with a bitter pang he had been too soft on Sabel- he must have raised the child wrong- for a demonic familiar had courted Sabel, and he now allowed it to whisper in his ear. Sabel's creeping dread had long taken root. With it, Oneth, a spirit offering friendship, familiarship, and a path out of the doomed future.

A long time ago, Sabel was a self-insert oc and also a furry. Last year, he became an elf instead. Growth..? But his character became more immature.

This particular piece captures the extraordinary and commanding nature of the live experience.

The distinctive music, as captured across five full-length albums, comes to life, shifting from hypnotic and mantra-like moods to thunderous drama, dissonance and cacophony. The musicians master playful dynamics and wield immense power.

The infamous Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the largest annual jazz festivals, now operating for over 50 years. About the experience Anna von Hausswolff remarks,

"In the beginning of 2013 I was texting back and forth with my friend Albin. He wanted me to come and play at a jazz festival that he was living nearby, it was Montreux Jazz Festival. At that point I was still quite unknown outside Sweden and regardless of my friend’s many attempts to contact the festival they never returned to him with an offer. I gave up the idea, he did not. Later that same year he unexpectedly died and a few years later, in 2017, an email popped up in my inbox, it was a request to open for Nick Cave and the bad seeds at the Montreux jazz festival. The tragedy that Albin was still not around to share the excitement with me gave me sorrow.

But, through the magic of music comfort came. The show was an emotional turmoil of ecstasy and grief, shared with an incredible audience and atmosphere. And, eventually, I could see his face in the venue, floating above all others, smiling and waving towards me.  I’m so happy to have been given this moment  and I’m beyond grateful to Montreux Jazz Festival, John Harris and Mathieu Jaton who so beautifully recorded this special concert that I will keep close to my heart forever and ever."

Live at Montreux Jazz Festival was mixed on the “Queen Neve” desk, previously owned by Queen  (thus the name ) and situated at the Mountain Studios in the casino of Montreux, now ­located at Svenska Grammofonstudion, Gothenburg - further capturing the magic.

These kinds of love

It has been 21 years yet, I can’t thank my family enough for everything they have done for me. Whether it is my nuclear fam; Mones, or extended fam; dela Cruz, Sansano, Meana, Felipe, Domingo, TYSM and ILYSM! 💖 💖 💖

Basically, this will be an appreciation post for the best couples and duos I know. First of, my parents, of course! Hi Mama and Papa. *wink wink*

Just a few weeks ago, my Papa opened up something to me and my boyfriend. I do not know why either but yuh, he did. Haha! Paps told us their love story; how they started, what things should stay to keep the romance going, and all. I was inspired then. Seeing them still sweet, after 25 years, make me believe that there can be forever. Forever are the moments with the person you love. 💖

… plus food. Hahahahaha, kidding! But possibly true too. Why not anyway? =))

Trivia: these are what we ate during moms’ and dads’ day yay!

I love Mama and Papa, individually and as a group.

What I love the most about my Mama is her selfless heart. I admire her of all people because she is the one who really showed me what true love means. Balancing work and family life is hard. It takes your personal time and body rest but I guess, that is just love. My Mama? She wakes up at 3:30 in the morning. During my thesis days, I will hear her alarm rang and when she stands up, she will ask me, “Bakit gising ka pa. Matulog ka na muna.” Then I will smile. Because at the back of my mind, “What about you mom? Bakit ikaw, gising ka na? When you should rest because you went to bed so late already.” That is one of the reasons why I persisted in my thesis. Because I want my mom’s hard work be paid off. I guess I did naman. Our thesis was considered as one of the best research papers of the batch. Yaaaaas, AlDub you! Hahahahaha! So you see, it is just one instance, how about the next? Cos my inang reyna, she starts the day by boiling water for her coffee. At the same time, prepare meals for us. After that, she will wash the laundry. Yup, that happens everyday, Monday to Sunday, seven out of seven days in a week. Every. Single. Time. That is why I idolize my mother. Indeed a supermom and a wonderwoman! Because after those household chores, she will prepare as she goes to work. Eh what if I tell you my mom was deployed to Pampanga aside from the Ayala work? Pagoda, ‘di ba! Let’s add the traffic that wastes everybody’s time. Psh! For years, as in when I was a little kid, that was already her routine. I was then pushed by myself to learn how to balance my time well because my mom does it so should I. While at night, it is still her who sets the table. Sometimes, washes the dishes. Then, she will iron clothes, organize things, and clean stuff, blabla. Imagine how busy she was? Yet she can make time for us. So I really salute all moms. You guys are so perfect! Can’t say anything more because that is it, it summarizes everything. You deserve so much love, Mama! I hope I make you feel that. 💖

While Papa (not sure if this paragraph will be that same long with my mother’s because, just because, but okay haha), he is my secret friend. Never been that daddy’s girl. That spoiled daughter? Maybe, a little, at times, there are times, yes, but not to that point of being her princess like what the others tell. Nonetheless though, I really can say Papa is the first man I fell in love to and of course, was also the first one who broke it too. Sobrang babaw bes pero bata pa kasi ako nun nung napalo dahil ayaw uminom ng gamot at di nagpaalam na makikipaglaro kaya medyo natrauma siguro kaya hanggang paglaki, nakuha ko na yung impression na yun. I am scared and is still scared of my father in a way that I never want him to be mad, that’s all. Of course, seeing my Papa mad, I know it also cringes his heart. He seems pala-tawa but my dad is actually a reserved person. He is sooo corny. Yes, it is in him where I got it. Hahaha! He is a funny guy but do not ever mess with him because you will not like it. You do not know what is going on his head almost all the time but you will feel it, the love he is breathing for the family. Heart heart, I know! Uhm well, we always fight. I hate him playing piano on our lights cos sayang kuryente, when he forgot where he put his eyeglasses yun pala nasa mesa lang, when he smokes most especially kasi health ng lahat damay, and more to mention. But then, I still consider Papa as my greatest love. He is always there whenever I need him. He may be quiet and aloof at times because his interests are different than us, girls, but Papa, he is always at my side whether good times or bad. Paps is indeed my ninja BFF like what the Chinese says according to our birthday (haha) – someone who will make you mad sometimes but will still love at the end of the day. Actually, it is from Papa where I got my belief to always take risks too. Like him, I am turning to be an adventurer. It is now that I am an adult where I see myself becoming similar to him to be honest. Good thing or bad? Hmm… L💖L!

My Mama and Papa are my main motivation and best inspiration in this life. They are my role models as a person and as a lover. Because to be honest, they are the perfect couple to me. Mama and Papa love each other, no matter how flawed they are. Their love is a love so sweet, so delicate. And that, that is something I want to do when I fall in love too. That, that is what my Lolo and Lola seems hard to express to one another. And that, that is the next topic for this post. =)))))

Like a tree, I am nothing without the roots.

Aside from my parents, it is my grannies on both sides whom I treasure the most too. I love how they treat me like a princess. Duh, of course, who would not like to be treated fine, haha! Like what others say, grandparents seem to love their granddaughters and grandsons more than what they do to their own offsprings. Why? Well I think the logic there was, they miss taking care of someone. Hellooo, their sons and daughters are big enough already! It is also possible that they have things they want to do for their babies but they were not able to do so, they do it to their children instead. And you know, they might be helping the parents to raise their girls and boys since parenthood is difficult. Been there, done that, stuff like that. By that, I can say grandparents are the greatest people you can ever meet in the world! Let’s give a loud woohoo for them! And prayer for my beloved Lolo Terio and Lola Sabel who are in God’s hands now too, please, thanks! 💖

Ladies first! You know, traditions… So it’s gonna be Lola Ining. Heehee. I am a self-confessed Lola’s girl. It is Lola Ining whom I grew up with. I still remember those times when she was the one who takes cares of me as I prepare to school and go home from school, those little weekend vacations so I can play like what ordinary kids do, those sari-sari store moments where we will grocery and almost half of the basket was for me, then I will organize her racks when we get home and she will treat me junk foods after the hard work even when Mama prohibits me to, and more. Hahahahaha! Lola Ining is my eternal love. To tell you, there was a phase in my life when I wanted to live simpler with my grannies rather than comfy with my family. That was how attached I am to nanay. Lola is like a magnet for me that no matter what I do, I will always go back to her. 💖

While my Lolo Pedro, he is quiet and very kind. The thing I super admire about Lolo, how hardworking he is. Actually, they both are. The reason why we have a good life now. Heart heart! There is this story by my sissy when Lolo treated her Jollibee after a whole day work just to satisfy ate’s cravings. Those little moments when he keeps on making me put slippers, aplag, and all so I will not get sick daw. Those simple reminders to look where I am going and do not cross anywhere, to always think before saying or doing a thing. Actually, Lolo is half-deaf. That funny memory when lolo heard my name during my Dada’s valedictory speech and Lola did not. Because nanay is so talkative unlike tatay who values listening. And even today, he takes care of us by delivering foods and cooking rice every weekday just so we will not be hungry when we get home. That’s how Lolo loves – silent but deep. 💖

But this couple has that love-hate relationship. I do not know if it is because of the age or they just really clash. Hahahahaha! But they seem to truly love each other. Para lang talagang aso at pusa. LOL! And that is something I want in the future too. No matter how mad you are, no matter how many curses you have sworn, or no matter how you hate this person, it still boils down to forgiveness; thus, love. 💖

Best friends and enemies at the same time and everything in between…

Who says couples are just meant for a biological man and woman? Well, some does. But for me, not! You know, couple also means combine or combination, so then I thought of my sisters too. Annyeong unni Mae and Kay! Sounds like w3w. Hahahahaha! I only have one sister actually. It’s just that, my sister has a childhood best friend whom I treat as a sister too so yuh, I feel like I have two. Finger hearteu hearteu! 💖

My sister and I are way too different from each other. As in from physical features, personal likes, and even interests. She has a cute smiling eyes while I have a big almond eyes. I am petite that makes me thin but sissy is chubby-sexy from front to booty. We both have thin hair but hers is a higher hairline. Hahaha! I have a strong fashion sense that makes me her stylist (and I love every time she asks me, “Okay ba ‘to” and blabla) while sissy is simple and cares on make-up more. Also, I love Gabriella and she likes Sharpay. Puno’t dulo kung bakit para sa akin hindi kami pareho. LOL! But even if it is like that, she is still the best sister I have (as if I have a choice? kidding)! I have influenced sissy to Korean dramas eventually. Also drinking a cup of milk tea in order to be calm. We both like attending events and having random food trips. While I got ate’s love in making poetry, taking photographs, and spending adventures because I look up to her. Since I was a kid, I always want to be like her. Oh no worries, I did not. Because growing up, she made me realize that I can be better my own and I can just take people as my life pegs but I must and will never be like them. Though age gap is a bit big, I know in my heart, we grew up close together. My sister is the next selfless woman I know (girls I think are really hearty). She is so generous and helpful. Indeed, her heart is pure and beautiful. 💖 

Just like this duo, I want to fall in love with my best friend. I do not care whether it is my childhood friend or high school batchmate. I just want someone whom I can call when I am both happy and sad and just discuss life in between. That person who will always be ready to be at my side, no matter what it costs just to be with me. The guy who is with me anytime and anywhere despite the distance as long as I can feel him, ready to listen, but at the same time, rights my wrongdoings, and sincerely takes care of me. I want a best friend and a lover combined. Thinking about it would be so much fun. 💖

And here’s to my extended fam bam. Hello Tita Jessa and Jana with love!

My family on both sides have small clans. But I actually do not mind. Quality over quantity! And it is the closed ties you will hold on. Like this simple reunion! Almost every summer, we have our outing. Woohoo, the most awaited karaoke! You know, to just catch up and relax while enjoying each other’s company. And shoutout to the blogger sisters by the way! Hahahahaha! On my Lola’s side, we meet them for two to three times a year, I guess. While on Paps’, reunion plus spontaneous road trips so basically, one to three too. But nonetheless, what is important is that we meet each other. ‘Di ba, if you love someone, you make time for them. Family is family! And I love my family! So this! 💖

I want this love too. No matter how long you did not see each other, the feeling still ignites. I believe love is more of what is inside your heart rather than being together everyday but nothing seems happening. It is all about making efforts and keeping the love grow each day. I seek for that selfless and growing kind of love. That I let you do your thing and I will too but I will never take you for granted because I will just be here for you when you need me. That heroic and dramatic yet true life moments, I would like that. 💖
