The dark harbinger hood with hair doesn't hide Miraluka masks! But my god does it clip with a lot of hairs. Not sure if this is just unique to the preview.
The devoted disciple hood is better, but a lot wider around the head.
Really wish Bioware/Broadsword would incorporate something like cuts to the hair meshes, the same way sims 4 does it where certain parts of the hair mesh are chopped off if there's a hood. But that'd probably require more work than they can do.
#again it might just be the preview- im waiting to figure out who to bind the armors to until the collection sale#but i kind of doubt it is since im p sure the previews use the same models#swtor#swtor fashion

Friendly reminder, because Nightlife Event is on again, that if you can avoid it, you should not be wasting your credits/Cartel Coins on Black/Black Dye Modules.
Waste some time on the slots (and just like. Log in every day) to get a shit load of Cartel Market Certificates, which you can spend at the J-OS4 Underworld vendor in the Cartel Bazaar on Fleet to get (among other cool stuff) Primary Black and Secondary Black Dye Modules (if you have Hero Underworld reputation, which is easily obtained by gambling at a Contraband Slot Machine for a short while - many public guild flagships, and many public Nar Shaddaa or MekSha strongholds have them, just ask around and they are not hard to find, someone will let you stand at one for a few hours).
On most outfits, these dyes can either be used alone or mixed and matched to make your outfit appear all-black without having to blow an exorbitant amount of credits (or actual real-world money) on a one-time use dye module.
There are other ways to get a near-black look
many of the Black/Color or Color/Black dye modules are essentially an all-black dye module on outfits that already have black as one of their colors or don’t have much for a primary or secondary color. Bonus: a lot of these dyes are craftable, and I’ll bet you can find someone on here who will craft them for you on the cheap or even free, because most of us hate the swtor economy
The deep gray/deep blue (idk the exact naming of it, but the darkest gray and blue) craftable dyes are so dark as to be essentially black on a lot of armors
you can mix and match dye modules on an outfit if dyeing the chest piece and stamping it for the outfit didn’t make the rest of the outfit look the way you want. Ideally, you’ll find pieces that don’t have to be dyed or that all look good with one dye module, but if you need to, mix them up! (Just like. do so with the ones that you crafted or got cheap)
#swtor fashion#this post brought to you by swtor socialism#my old post about hey fuck the people who sell dyes for literal billions of credits is getting notes again#so#friends don’t let friends sink credits on black/black dye#I’ve never used a black/black dye in my life and I’m not about to start#I’ve used one white/white and a guildmate gave it to me#after I farmed aug mats for him for like a week#anyway show me your best black/black dye dupes

Random SWTOR thought as I fight with a fic chapter (out, damn you): They need to digitize Padme Amidala’s wardrobe and charge appropriately exorbitant numbers of credits for it -- not cartel coins. That’ll fix the economy really fast.
Shower thought from last week that didn’t get posted: everyone gets date night with their romantic partner once. Buuuuut if you pony up an exorbitant amount of credits OR get a companion to 50 (and thereby spend a ton of credits to increase reputation), you get daily repeatable date night quest.
(literally writing ANYTHING but the fic)

What are the dumbest-looking cosmetic items in SWTOR?
Most Sith Inquisitor Armors come immediately to mind. Extremely dumb headpieces, exposed midriff, MASSIVE shoulder paldrons that shouldn't allow you to make it through most normal doorways, floor length SKIRT... they've got it all. Completely impractical for any sort of combat and yeah they look different but not in a good way.
Runner up: slave Leia knockoffs. It hurts my brain to imagine an actual person running around fighting stuff and having normal conversations in that. Also just... ew. Personally I did not to see that much skin on anyone.

YES! Dark red and black dye module to the rescue! I vastly prefer the look of the original Life Day Officer Jacket from the concept art, and I'm SO glad that I found a way to get it! (The shiny blue is still cool looking, and I think it's awesome that they're essentially giving us a free shiny dye effect.)

Just a jacket appreciation post. I love how there are so many patterns in this jacket, and it dyes beautifully. As long as you get the one that drops and not the cartel market version which parts of it stubbornly stay orange.
I love the attention to detail about the mending on the bottom of the jacket. This is clearly a well-loved article of clothing. At least by Mistii.

Rogue Agent set is also on sale, and I'm obsessed with using it for Vette.
(and for Reena obviously)
#i also use it in green for mako but i dont have any pics of her lol#its just a nice simple outfit with tight pants.#the jacket is a secondary dye too so its usually cheap and easy to get a nice color out of it#swtor#swtor fashion#vette#sw reena roamer

Was playing some Space Barbie with the rotten avocado today, and wanted to show off some of her outfits that have probably been shown off before, but have maybe been tweaked a little.
Good for missions where blending into a crowd is required, versatile as the jacket can look very dressy or very trashy, depending on the situation (is she more or less dressed up than people around her? and based on how she carries herself, she can seem more or less respectable/low-lifey, as the situation calls for).
Obvi, just a standard issue Imperial uniform. Nothing terribly flashy, but makes it obvious that she Belongs in Imperial spaces in an official capacity.
I'm in love with this jacket, tbh, and I have an outfit built around it for almost all of my agents and smugglers because I just like the look of it so much, even if it doesn't make sense for them story-wise. For Tulia, this look started as trying to be her Hand of Jadus outfit, then turned into basically an all-purpose "look like you're supposed to be there and no one will question it" kind of outfit.
These are her Hand of Acina look (with and without helmet). I dig the more armored look for her time serving Acina, because as acrimonious as their relationship is, Acina is probably the Sith she has served who takes the best care of her and like. Invests the most into making sure that the beings in her employ don't die on the job.
Bonus: I'm still working out building a new Hand of Jadus look for her, but it hinges on the Reaper chestpiece, which I do not own, and I don't know if I want to drop 1440 cartel coins for the set or like nearly a billion credits for just the chestpiece. Also the technolith tuning isn't required but it looks sick.
#swtor oc tulia#swtor fashion#space barbie is the true endgame#ignore the swapping between rifle and sniper rifle#i haven't decided if i wanna stamp a sniper rifle to all of her outfits or not#i've got the rifle and sniper rifle from the WL-29 series and i like them both for her#and she does just Look Good with a gun that's as long as she is tall#even if i haven't used her as a sniper since combat styles became a thing#just uh. sniper rifle sexy for her. and they coded it so that all of the 'rifle' weapons are basically interchangeable

@imgoingtomakeproblemsonpurpose Here are the outfits I have for him right now...although I don't really take him out of the one that often. XD (sorry for the shitty screenshots; I didn't have time to do cutscenes with them all. ;-; )
Labeled 'The Red Blade' this lovely trench coat look is what I used for Hutta, Belsavis, and Rishi. It's my go-to look for playing the part of a pirate or gangster. (I'll throw it on for raids/heroics)
Dubbed 'The Sniper, ' I used this for the majority of chapters 2 & 3 of the Agent storyline--even if I leveled him as an operative....he's multi-talented.
I don't use this one that often, but I still love it. It's the 'unofficial' uniform of his House. =3 💜💜💜
Ah, the Remnat Underworld Agent set. My love of loves. I rarely take him out of it. It's been on him almost constantly since Makeb. I've dubbed this one Commander. 💜 I love it so much that I used it for the commission I got for him--with minor tweaks to the set.
-swoons- 💜💜💜💜💜
Does Anyone Else....
plan out outfits for your toons for the storyline in SWTOR? Like for Aketho, I had one outfit for just Red Blade/Pirate undercover stuff. Another for when he got onto Dromund Kaas. A third for when he was running around the other planets. And finally, he's wearing the Remnant Underworld Agent set because that one is fire on him. (I love it so much). I'm curious if anyone else does this as well.
