god I hope so, I desperately want to see Briar Valley and whatever family member they throw at us. and if it's Baul I hope he's the exact same sprite but with, like, a mustache crudely pasted on. that's how he looks in my head and in my heart.
my entire KINGDOM to see one or both of Sebek's parents though, they are the best characters in all of Twst and they haven't shown up even once. 😭 though I think I might prefer his dad, because 1) show me the noodley dentistman, and 2) Mrs. Z is such a mythical figure in my mind at this point that reality could never compare (w-what if she gets a canon design and she isn't a hundred feet tall and could crack the earth by flexing her thighs, how could I go on) (jk jk she's so great that I would love her no matter what) (but also...)

#pokemon#sir aaron#blood curse of sir aaron#<- series name for all this nonsense in case i wind up talking about it more here. will probably post links here once more is written#no seriously this was supposed to be a one-shot with maybe ONE sequel. now there's 4 sequels and at least 7 directly related side stories#and three (3) fics that are more or less gonna serve as prequels/background for all my canons at this point when riley's involved#it was also only supposed to be one and then i had Ideas and did not stop them.#(benefit of setting things during legends arceus and promptly ignoring the actual protag)#i've only had the core idea rolling around my brain for 6 months and there's this many fics. prequel 1 came before but the others are newer#at least i'm not trying to write an entire game plot this time unlike my other big pokemon project#so much of the conflict could've been avoided with better communication. not all of it mind you but the big issues? yeah#at the very least they could've been handled a LOT sooner#i've got a scattered 20k worth of it so far of actual fic and over 10k worth of notes. 2k of those notes are for a single episode rewrite#i know that might not sound like a lot to some people but only the first main fic is done. the third one is arceus chronicles.#im making. choices. that's for sure. and writing so much aura lore you have no idea#i might need to make a family tree soon#willowarts

ep 1 = ep 7 (beatriceless)
ep 2 = ep 6 (furniture)
ep 3 = ep 5 (tools)
ep 4 = ep 8 (ange focus)
#.me#umineko#weird fucked up mirror structure tht barely makes sense. but i will try to explain in the tags regardless#ep 1 and 7 revolve entirely around beatrice without her actual presence#if anything in both it’s her lack of presence that sets the mystery of the episode in motion#one is the introduction to her story and the other is the conclusion of it. fairly straightforward tbh#ep 2 and ep 6 again have very obvious similarities in that they are both shkanontrice episodes#we also have the starting point and ending point of beabato’s relationship. starting with biting and killing and ending with marriage. waho#battler’s first real gameboard vs battler’s last real gameboard. i cld go on but the shkanontrice focus is probably the meat of it#ep 3 and 5’s connection is a bit looser… ep 3 is the first to introduce the braun tubes/catbox to fight using antifantasy#and ep 5 gives us the decalogue to fight using mystery. both give battler/the player tools to understand the rules of beato’s game#we also get ronove/virgilia on one hand and erika/dlanor on the other which are extensions of the tools/concepts themselves#ep 4 and 8 is self explanatory. theyre the Ange episodes and the endings of their respective arcs. both begin and end with ange’s journey#and her trying to find the truth. really theyre so similar in theme (+ content tbh) it is probably the most obvious of these#anyways. it is an actual mirror structure if you consider 4 + 8 as epilogues… <— strying to make it work.#thinking abt umineko at 8 am the grind never stops *trips falls dies

So I watched the first episodes or so of Adventure Time. Is there I guess....a um...breathrough episode that makes you like fall in love with it?
I just looked through them and not going to lie the first season is definitely not my favorite. The first season is where you meet a lot of the characters and see the universe. They are mainly super random and silly.
The first episode of season 2 is pretty good you get to learn more about Marceline and her dad.
S3 Ep9 - first fionna and cake episode (again not my favorite episodes but they are important to know who they are if you want to watch fionna and cake (the series) in the future)
S3 E26 - you get to meet flame princess for the first time 🥰🫶🫶🫶🫶
S4 E26 - The Lich - this is where the story part comes in and it gets GOOOOOOD. There are a few episodes before this that have some story I think but it’s very light if I remember right. This is where things kinda turn in adventure time in my opinion
S5 Ep1 - you get to meet Prismo!!! More story! Good shit
#ok ok ok#so I think if you want to get hooked on adventure time I would start watching from season 4 episode 26#I know I know it sounds like a big jump but like I said I think the first few seasons are mainly just introducing the characters#kinda seeing where everyone lives and their personalities#there are some story episodes in the earlier seasons but I don’t think anything important#it’s one of those shows where usually you can just watch and instantly know what’s going on#you don’t have to watch them in order buuut once you get to the story part it’s better to watch in order just in case#it’s hard to explain cause most of them are Willy nilly and silly but after the end of season 4 you have more chance to get to story#and THEN season 7 is where you get to go into the depths of the characters and their backstories#all of the episodes are 10ish minutes but then season 7 and beyond have multiple parts to some of them#so like the first one is all about Marceline and it has 8 parts#I think that’s all I wanted to say????#but I definitely understand not falling in love with it right away#it was just a thrown on show for awhile until I got to the story story and I was like OH?????? OK I SEE YOU#feel like I wanted to say more but here you gooooo#I think if you wanted to start S4 E26 and get into the story and then if you fall in love with it you can always go back#and watch the beginning seasons#but I definitely don’t think you need to watch the first few seasons to understand what’s going on later#and if you watch the end of season 4 and the beginning of season 5 and it’s still not your jam that’s alright!#I’m sure it’s not for everyone#ask

#american horror stories unironically slap? those short one episode stories are done so well??? i am in awe because i used to love ahs#i saw every season and well lets say the last 3 or 4 were not.... very good especially double feature . new york city was good but i feel#like it would serve a much better story as a separate show maybe not a part of ahs franchise because of the theme of the season#but anyway not digging into that now. double feature had all the worst sins of ahs and they were so brought into the light in that season#very interesting premise but weak ending or lack of it (red tide was so promising and then.)#but it was a clear sign that maybe murphy wanted to tell shorter stories actually ......... and then ahstories happened????? and i am#catching up and wow?!!?!?! just wow!!!!!!! season 1 had 7 episodes and 4 out of them were very good and solid and i loved them#and the remaining three weren't bad either i just don't vibe with murder house really lol#and season 2 starts with dollhouse which is SO GOOD#and these episodes tie so neatly into the main series???????? wowowowowoww#great loving it here#personal#american horror stories

I have read the entire Kikaider manga in a day because today I really had nothing to do and I was THAT hyperfixated I binge even if I skimmed at some parts-mainly the fight scenes-and I can 100% say I still prefer the anime even for 01s cause cause JESUS CHRIST (I didn’t hate it though but now i understand more why 01 anime is the way it is)
#meg text#01 still should’ve been like 6 episodes but know every flaw the anime had is BASICALLY the same as the manga but worse#also the 01 plot happens in chapter 9 but there was overlap with the first half plot and mitsuko and co don’t leave until chapter 11#so that already got in the way of smoothing out the plot so really 7 chapters to work with but taking parts out#the first show also had entire chapters it skipped or scenes they changed but kept ideas and that was for like 9ish chapters#01 absolutely could've done the same but just how the 4 eps were framed wasn’t ENOUGH#there is only one big character left out of 01 being Waruder but like- honestly he barely gets shit he doesn’t even TRANSFORM#the least I can say about the Kikaider manga compared to when I read jeeg this still felt like a story and not just a giant commercial#but the pacing was non existent and shit was just being made up as it went along 💀
