the soft glow of the dimmed lights over your head illuminates the cozy atmosphere as you and satoru sit, plopped on the floor, surrounded by lego pieces scattered around you both. convenience store meal containers are pushed aside, replaced by the colorful array of lego blocks for the assembling of the flowers you’re making. 

you can’t help but chuckle softly as you clip a piece together. “who knew assembling lego flowers would be so therapeutic?”

satoru glances up at you from his craftsmanship, his face lifting into a lopsided smirk as he raises a brow. “therapeutic and much more enjoyable than a dinner at a five-star joint, right?” he asks in a sly tone.

“definitely,” you admit – but give an eye roll, too – finding enjoyment in the quiet concentration of your activity. “i mean, who needs caviar when you’ve got legos?”

satoru wiggles his brows with a drawled, yet all the same, teasing tone. “you expected caviar?”

“you brought up a five star restaurant place first! i’m just playing along,” you reply with a pointed tone, jabbing the start of a lego flower stem at him. 

the atmosphere is light as you continue your tasks, planted in place as you furrow your brows in concentration and deep thought. 

“you know,” you begin, trailing up your gaze to glance over at his progress. he’s piecing the petals to the stem of his first flower. “i expected hollywood glamour and red carpets when i signed up for a fake relationship…definitely didn’t expect this.” your tone remains light and amused, almost whimsical, as a smile tugs at the corner of your lips.

satoru snaps his fingers in an ‘aw man’ type of gesture. with mock disappointment, he juts bottom his lip out. “well, i’m sorry if you’re disappointed, princess.”

you scoff playfully, rolling your eyes at his exaggerated display. “oh, i’m terribly disappointed. no paparazzi, no fancy dinners, just legos and premade meals. what a letdown.”

you meet satoru’s eyes when you finish speaking, tone laced with sarcasm. he’s grinning at you, finding your tone amusing. as the playfulness subsides and you’re left in silence again, a more contemplative air settles between the two of you.

you don’t notice at first, but satoru sets aside his made flower and leans back on his hands, gazing at you, his blonde bangs brushing against his forehead. “in all honesty, y/n, the hollywood life can be exhausting. sometimes, a night like this feels more real that those red carpet events.”

the shift in his tone catches your attention, making you pause in your movements and look up at him more intently. you notice his eyes, usually filled with more mischief, now hold a smidge of… is that vulnerability?

“you ever feel like you’re playing a role even when the cameras aren’t rolling?” he continues, a genuine curiosity in his expression.

the legos forgotten for a moment, you nod thoughtfully. “yeah, sometimes, depending on where i am. it’s like there’s ‘public me’ and then the ‘real me,’ and they don’t always align.” you recall the amount of pr training you had to do in your agency, solely to maintain a specific image.

satoru’s gaze lingers on you as if searching for something deeper behind your gaze. “well, you’re not alone in that feeling,” he confesses in a low tone, his usual playful demeanor replaced by a rare sincerity you haven’t seen before. “sometimes, i wonder if anyone really knows the real me.”

his words make your head cock to the side in interest. “what about suguru and your other friends?” you ask softly.

"well, yeah, i guess they know me on more than a superficial level. but even then, sometimes it's like i'm still playing a character." he shrugs with twisted lips – a habit of his you realize means he's in deep thought. "don't get me wrong, it's nothing wrong with them but my guard is still up… it’s kind of like a default thing engrained in my head since i first started acting.”

your brows dip into a slight furrow as you take in his words. had acting really gotten him to a point of building a hypothetical shield around himself?

you can sense a hint of sadness in his admission, a vulnerability laid bare in his words. it’s a satoru you haven’t seen before, a crack in the facade of the confident, charming persona he presents to the world. truthfully, you didn’t think you’d ever witness this side of him.

“i get that,” you reply softly, setting aside your own lego flower to change your sitting position to hugging your knees as your chin rests against the top of them, giving him your full attention. with a bashful chuckle, you continue, “i mean– i can’t say i relate since i’m far from where you are… but i guess i can see how it’s easy to blur the lines between who you are and a role you’re trying to uphold. it’s like the more successful you become, the more layers you add to protect yourself.”

he blinks owlishly at your words, face appearing blank. you think, for a moment, that you’ve said the wrong thing but he releases a chuckle himself, head tilting to the side thoughtfully.

“exactly,” he murmurs in agreement. “you sure you’re an amateur actress?” he raises a brow, a teasing glimmer in his blue eyes.

you laugh again. “definitely an amateur compared to the hollywood veteran sitting across from me,” you tease, a genuine smile playing on your lips.

satoru visibly shudders at the word ‘veteran,’ shaking his shoulders and head as he sits up straighter.

"was it tough getting to where you are?" you ask, treading the water first, wondering if he's even comfortable sharing this side of himself to you.

"i wanna say i got lucky with my first role at just fourteen. but everything after that? I can’t even tell you which was media-driven and which was self-motivated,” he shrugs with a sigh, briefly looking away from you as if pondering.

"what do you mean?" you furrow your brows. it's no surprise he's technically a 'child' actor, having starred on a popular netflix show in his early teenhood, skyrocketing him to instant fame, a much starker contrast than the typical child actor on daytime t.v.. his viewership was massive from his debut, having scored such a prominent role. 

"after my first show did well, apparently several representatives for different projects wanted me and, well, for my management, that was a lottery. and – it's all a blur now, really – but soon enough I was an overworked sixteen-year-old starring in some show I hardly couldn't care less about, and then-"

"savage satoru," you finish for him, connecting the dots of his story.

he snorts at the cringy title. “was that really what they referred to me as?" he visibly winces, probably wishing for a nickname that didn’t sound like dated twitter jargon.

you nod, remembering how he'd blown up for acting out and being messy, as told by online tabloids on twitter and other social media sites. it’d been so many years ago but it was a pop culture moment; one of those ‘you just had to be there’ moments.

"so you remember the headlines then. i turned eighteen and started being a complete asshole on set, dating around, y’know the whole ordeal. my management had to step in and have a whole intervention with me if you can imagine it. damage control, really. they blamed it on the fact that I was eighteen – young and dumb bullshit – and sure, that had a part in it. but it has more so to do with how exhausted and overworked I was...

but despite all this damage control, i gained the label of some bad boy in hollywood who was objectively attractive and had a fanbase full of girls, so hollywood went with it. as long as i wasn't acting out on set, they'd embrace this new version of myself skewed by the media. anything for some exposure and quick bucks. and me? well, I still needed a check of my own so... i went with it. i think that's when i put up my first layer, hiding myself behind someone who wasn't me but doing it anyway because realistically, what else could I do?”

“it sounds toxic,” you murmur with a frown. 

satoru's gaze becomes distant for a moment, a hint of nostalgia or maybe regret flashing in his eyes. “yeah, it was. it's a strange thing, trying to navigate your identity in an industry that's constantly shaping and reshaping it for you."

you reach down to pick up a stray lego piece from the floor, turning it over in your hand as you absorb his words. “but why go along with it even now? couldn't you have rebelled against the image they were trying to create?"

satoru chuckles bitterly, shaking his head to himself. "it's not that simple, y/n. in hollywood, the image they build for you often becomes more real than your true self. it becomes a survival mechanism. if you're not marketable, then they find someone who is. it's a game, and sometimes you have to play along to stay in it. think about it, you’re part of the game, too."

you gnaw at your lower lip, taking in his words. what he’s saying is true. if it hadn’t been for this fake relationship, you wouldn’t have the place – the opportunities – you do now in hollywood. without you even realizing, it’s a story built by hollywood for hollywood.

satoru looks over at your expression, a rueful smile on his lips. "it's a double-edged sword. the fame, the adoration, it comes at a cost. and often, that cost is your own self.”

the room is filled with a contemplative silence, broken only by the occasional click of lego pieces coming together. the atmosphere shifts once more, a newfound understanding settling between you and satoru.

“i didn’t mean for this talk to get so gloomy,” he mutters with an awkward chuckle amidst the silence, rubbing the back of his neck.

“that’s okay,” you offer a smile of understanding. to be honest, you’d much rather have talks like these with people than a superficial one while brushing these topics under a carpet. “is it bad that i’m rethinking my whole career now?” you ask with a humorless laugh, picking up the flower again, now nearly finished.

“i’d be more surprised if you didn’t,” he retorts with an amused scoff. “but it gets better, trust me.”

“if it’s any consolation, i’m grateful i got to fake date you out of the other actors in hollywood,” you admit with a soft smile.

“yeah?” he raises a brow, partly in amusement, the other part in pure intrigue. “the infamous satoru gojo?” before you can answer, he leans back on his hands again, shooting you a smirk. “i knew you’d admit to my appeal one of these days. they always do.” he glances back at you, winking to let you know he’s partially kidding.

“oh, shut up,” you fire back, but a grin tugs up your lips. “i take back what i said.”

“too late!” he gives you a shit-eating grin, teasing you.

you can only roll your eyes, knowing if you tried to argue with him, your tone would give yourself away. 

perhaps, amidst the legos and vulnerability, a genuine friendship is taking root, growing from the foundation of shared experiences and mutual understanding.

One of the biggest bummers for me with Monkie Kid fandom is the unequal idealization of Wukong and villianization of Macaque. I think it downplays the incredibly deep and interesting dynamic that comes from people who have hurt each other but are learning and growing as individuals coming back into orbit of each other and relearning who they are to each other.

It also goes to say that while Lego Monkie Kid is derived from JTTW it can definitely stand on its own considering what they've modified or adapted to work better with what they were aiming for.

Objectively when the series begins Wukong is a better person but he wasn't when his life was more intertwined with Macaque.

In fact they're both pretty bad at the begining. And often even enabled each other to be worse.

Wukong made lots of rash decisions that even if he claims was for "us" was often motivated by selfish ideals for glory pushed by the brotherhood as he disregarded Macaques opinions and worries.

Whereas Macaque has always been focused on perceived slights, essentially victimizing himself more than he actually is and using this to justify his harmful behaviors. He often prods when he should be understanding or aloof when he should be sympathetic. He's quick to lash out because he's always on the defensive.

They both have done things wrong but I'm tired of the fandom always siding with Wukong when the idea is that they're BOTH in the wrong in different ways and most of the turmoil in their relationships stems from simple miscommunications that are escalated by the fact that neither had really faced their past (until season 4 obviously)

And most of the animosity they feel towards each other is leftover from a close relationship now in shambles and being forced back together in order to survive.

(Some people irl can't even handle being in the same room in a cordial setting with someone they aren't friends with anymore. Like come on not crazy that they both instinctivly become defensive. Not to mention we see that they often teased and bickered playfully so not odd to fall back into the pattern just with more animosity. )

We've been following Macaques slow redemption, his willingness to fight LBD despite not knowing if they'd succeed and could result in them all being destroyed. As well as his misguided attempts to mentor MK in his own emotional stunted way.

And Wukong himself has made his own major mistakes as a mentor as well that's like the entirety of the 3rd season but again he's had more character growth thus admitting his wrongs and reflecting on them comes much easier to him, out of the two Wukong is currently the more emotionally intelligent as odd as that sounds. He's more willing to face the reality of his actions than Macaque is but this aligns with their character types. Wukong often being blunt, straightforward and headstrong compared to Macaque who is hesitant and holds his cards close to his chest quick to hide his true intentions behind attitude and misdirection. Along with this Wukong is predictably bitter when trapped under the mountain especially when Macaque escaped the consequences which once again plays into his self-serving attitude but at the same time Macaque had always been hesitant about crossing the Jade Emperor and warned Wukong that in classic Wukong fashion, he wasn't thinking it through and considering the consequences.

(Side note I find it incredibly odd for people to not consider all of elements on both Wukongs and Macaques separate experiences. As well as the odd skew on Macaques motives during the Samadi fire arc, since his resurrection his one goal has been to escape and protect his second chance at life, stealing Wukongs power from MK is a measure to protect himself and its easier to trick MK than Wukong (this isnt to say its justified, hurting MK was wrong plain and simple because again Macaque is heavily flawed as well and hasn't had the time or guidance Wukong did to reflect and change cuz he was ya know, dead (but his death is another interesting conversation when considering the context of the original vs LMK which might play it off in a different way or have to avoid it altogether due to rating issues)and when he is forced to work with LBD once again his life is on the line, that's called coercion. AND he still fights a possessed Wukong at MK behest, despite the likely traumatic fear that would be triggered by fighting Wukong again and that LBD might not stop a possessed Wukong from killing him again. Doesn't mean what he did was right but if you consider from his perspective along with the fact that he died before he got to have his own "journey to the west" or journey of growth and self-reflection. We're seeing the Macaque that Wukong killed all those years ago. It makes understanding his motives a little easier.)

I might'a said somethin' like this before but I'll go on and say it again. I been known I wanted to do what my daddy n his daddy before him did since I knew I could. I started with little things. Screwin' screws into scrap wood, hammerin' in nails, LEGO sets when I was treated to em. Grew up helping Pa around the house otherwise. Electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, you name it. I ended up really likin' working on Pa's sentries. Even though teleporters were objectively cooler... Then I found some of Grandaddy's old blueprints. Hoowee.

Anyway, I was a part of the Engineering club at school, did all these fancy math, science, and STEM courses when I could. Took all my time.

Or the time I thought was all of it. Once I went into Uni, that place set me straight. Free time I didn't know I had was gone and there weren't no helpin' Pa out anymore. No parties, no friends. School was all I knew n it sucked like hell, but I loved it. Learnin' n all was such a blessing. Tiring, no doubt about it. Don't do what I did, I mean it. Y'all deserve to live like younguns do. Still, I don't regret any part of it. I'm in a place now where I can catch up on all that sleep if I really wanted to.

The Habit of Hating in our fandom and spiritual laws

I still intend to share thoughts about AYS but in the meantime I want to speak about certain habits especially on twitter that many people have when it comes to hate, defending your ideas, defending the boys, in relation to the spiritual laws of the universe.

This discussion was triggered by this tweet:

The line that is concerning is this one:

"Asks the religious people to pray for their downfall"

This statement is so wrong on so many levels, but it is also a symptom of a broader attitude in this fandom towards people we don't like, we don't agree with.

I want to preface this by informing you (if you are not familiar with spirituality and how the universe works) that the name of the game is Unconditional love.

Your true being at the core comes from love, is made of love, and comes to earth to see if it can still choose love even in a very constricting environnement and situations.

When we'll die no one will be judging us but us and we willl be comparing all of our choices with unconditionnal love. How did we love? Did we choose love or fear? Even when a crazy woman on the street is yelling at us?

You see so love is the go-to, is the stateline for us even coming here in the first place.

I am not saying it is not hard to choose love, especially with people full of hate making a large amount of damage to people's mental health.

Praying for someone's downfall do you think this is love? Praying if done correctly (and if you want the higher power to be at the other end of that prayer) needs to come from love. You can't pray for something bad to happen to someone. I mean YOU CAN. But then who is gonna answer? Not God. And then since it is not aligned to love you will go through the automatic balancing cause and effect from the universe, and will have karma from it.

Karma is not a form of punishement. It's something we go through willingly, because we simply see who we are as consciousness, we see "oh I am capable of this" "Oh I can inflict that much pain" so then you want to learn because you see for yourself it is not the best, it is not love. So you sign up to experience something that will make you learn the lesson properly. Maybe you'll be at the other end of the hate.

In any case, I want to say, when people are throwing hate at the boys, at you, at a cause you hold dear, please stop saying stuff like "I wish you die" "I wish you go rot in hell" or even "I wish you step on the lego" come on people.

People think because they are right, because their cause is just, they think they are the good people in the equation.

But if you think you need to combat hate with even more hate, wishing harm on people you disagree with, are you, really?

Or are you no better than them?

You know, people filled with judgement, with anger, ready to cause harm and destroy, the hate you throw at them will never stop them. People with belief in separation are soooo into their illusion there is nothing you could say that will make them stop.

I want to point to you the fact that this person you dispise, you don't agree with, it's YOU. It is another version of you.

Your consciousness and their consciousness is made of the same thing. You are two parts of the same whole.

Maybe you have different personalities, stories, traumas, level of consciousness, but basically you ARE the same.

Why would you hate yourself? Wish harm on yourself?

This person isn't hateful because they are evil. There is no evil, the only evil is the belief in separation with others, and the lack of love. They hate because they lack love. Their hate comes from a fear, and a fear stems from buying into a false perception that is not aligned with love and union.

They believe they are separate from you, separate from bts, so there comes judgement, there comes me versus them.

Many people will absolutely never know the people they hate is another version of them. They will live their lives like this and nobody can change it. Because everybody is at their own stage of evolution of consciousness.

Your own consciousness is in their shoes somewhere in the universe, having the same things to overcome.

Don't judge the hater so harshly, there are many things you don't know about them, about their life, about their lack of love, about their state of evolution as consciousness.

I am not saying what they do is not wrong, that we must do nothing. That's not it.

The loving choice is not to wish them harm though, or to fight them with more hate.

Sometimes it is to use the tools we have, to block them, to stand our ground, to explain our point of view in a respectful manner. Sometimes it is to ignore them. To not give them voice. Or sometimes to expose them. It is to put boundaries in a firm way but not a destructive one.

I know there is a fine line between the two, you must question yourself what is the best thing to do in any situation. Your little voice, your intuition knows what is best. When you do something wrong you know it deep down. Trust that voice, trust yourself to know.

But the thing is, the only way to fight evil is with love.

You see, when you are spreading love in your life, into the world, with people you know, you come accross, you smile at, you are raising your frequency, your consciousness, and it creates ripple effects around you.

You can smile at someone in the street and it can have an impact as far as touching a man deep into a foreign country miles away.

Love and everything you do is THAT powerful.

These ripple effects is why we incarnate. And when we choose love, our own frequency of consciousness raises, and since we are all connected on a subconscious level, we raise the consciousness of the whole collective.

If you are alone in your room and don't go out for weeks but one instant you choose to give yourself love, you don't even have to do anything else, you are ALREADY HELPING EVERYBODY.

It matters a lot you see, everything you do.

BTS themselves created a monstruous gigantic ripple effect on earth with their love yourself campaign and who they are as individuals.

Take their example.

What I am writing can seem all mushy mushy but love does not mean being a doormat, it does not mean being all lovey-dovey all the time. Sometimes the loving choice is telling someone they fucked up. Sometimes it is simply not allowing this person's toxic energy to be in your life. Because self-love is also important.

You must find your own compass into knowing what is the loving thing to do in any given situation.

But please people I am begging you to stop wishing harm on other people you disagree with. You will not help anybody. You are only hurting yourself.

"We are good and they are evil"

No.

Nobody is good, and nobody is evil, we have all both light and dark inside.

You are no better than them, we are all in the same boat.

Not passing judgement is hard I know, but if you can see them with love, you would understand they are like toddlers who have no clue what the hell they are doing. They are like children, and so are you. How can you blame a child for falling down? Or doing something bad?

I don't want to tell you how to respond to them, you must find your own answers.

But please be a little more mindful how you talk and react to these people. Because EVERYTHING you do matters.

The haters will always be there no matter what because we live in a reality of separation, duality, but the BEST THING you can do is to be love instead in your lives in any way you can be with all that what love means. With kindness, compassion, bravery, honesty, forgiveness, authenticity and also love for yourself! Having boudaries and knowing when to say no!

I know I went on a long tengeant but I see so many terrible things on social media and people are so careless with their words and actions.

Be mindful and ask yourselves the right questions before answering and interacting with haters.

If you choose to be love in your own life, you are already doing the right thing.

Luther agere headcanons

Has a wide age rage and regresses between ages 0-10 however he is most often toddler or baby age 

His regression was incredibly frequent while on the moon. Since coming back to earth it happens less often however when he does regress he tends to stay regressed for a very long time  

His regression is involuntary and he isn’t very good at stopping himself from slipping or at pulling himself out of headspace 

He first started regressing while he was on the moon. He didn’t know what was happening or what to do and he had no one he could turn to for help. Once back on earth he was able to figure out what was going on but that time when he didn’t know what was happening was really scary for him 

He is learning to accept his regression much more as he begins to heal from some of the trauma inflicted by his childhood and his time on the moon 

Little Luther is even worse than big Luther at keeping his feelings a a secret and there is almost never any doubt from others about what he’s feeling 

In younger headspaces he sometimes goes completely nonverbal and even when he’s older he tends to not be very talkative. A lot of this stems from the fact that for the first 4 years of him regressing he was alone and didn’t have anyone else to talk to so he’s still adjusting to having people around him 

He is surprisingly shy however this is mostly due to the isolation from the moon and with time he begins to become more outgoing. He is very eager to please which tends to manifest in obedience and anxiety 

When he’s little his memories tend to get kinda fuzzy 

It’s really 50/50 on weather or not he will nap when he’s regressed  

Because of his size it’s pretty difficult to pick him up but luckily his siblings have found some solutions. Ben can use his tentacles to help carry him and Klaus once used several ghosts to help lift Luther into the air just to pretend he was stronger than Diego who wasn’t able to pick Luther up by himself. 

He loves to play with his action figures when small and is constantly begging Diego to join in his games. When he’s older he also likes to play catch and when he’s younger he loved to be swaddled up and read to or shown movies/cartoons 

Very messy eater. Even at older ages he tends to get food all over his face, hands, clothes, the table, and the floor

He has been working hard to heal his inner child and it turns out part of that has ended up being buying whichever toys catch his eye when he goes out to the store. Being able to get himself the things he always wanted but could never ask for or receive from  Reginald has been very good for him. Because of this he has slowly amassed a collection of stuffed animals, legos, remote control cars, playdough, and more. 

His favorite toy is a stuffed bear that is dressed in a little astronaut suit  

When regressed he dresses in the biggest clothes he can possibly get his hands on. Due to his size most clothing fits him too tightly and when he's regressed that becomes uncomfortable. Additionally the bigger clothing helps him feel small 

He owns a paci but prefers to suck his thumb even though he knows that’s not very good for him 

When he is in a younger headspace he does need diapers and even in older headspaces he will sometimes still wear them because he finds them comforting 

The rest of the academy either learns about his regression by accident or is told about it. Since so many of them regress as well they are all very accepting. The sparrow academy and lila find out officially a bit later however most of them already had their own suspicions. 

While going through some of his dads things Luther found out that Reginald had know he was regressing while on the moon the entire time but had done nothing to help or even inform him in any way 

His siblings, and later Sloane usually take care of him while he’s small. Diego, Victor, and Sloane take care of him the most often

My mother just entered out of house care and my father, for probably the first time in 45 years, is home alone.

Her mental problems, stemming from a rare, untreatable condition similar to Alzheimers have gotten to the point where my father and grandmother could not handle it by themselves anymore.

She has been deteriorating slowly the past 5 years, but especially last year has been a steep cognitive decline, her going non-verbal and developing some ticks I recognized in my toddler daughter.

She basically turned into a 60 year old toddler and it breaks my heart for her and my father.

And while it's sad for me, to see my mother like this, and for my mother, who probably knows for a little bit that her new normal is not the same normal as most women her age, I can't help but cry a little bit more for my father.

They were high school sweethearts, 17 years old and spent their entire adult lives together.

They raised 3 boys into men they can, hopefully, be proud of.

We lived in the same house for all of my life, one by one leaving the nest. And now, 6 years or so since my youngest brother moved out and they had their own kingdom, my father goes to bed alone, in an empty home.

They should have grown old and even more wrinkly together. Enjoying vacations in their caravan, camping in Sweden and Austria. Teaching their grandkids how to ski through the Alps. Get emotional and proud at my brother's videos. Share vacation and motorcycle tips with my older brother. And laugh and puzzle at my next stupid dumb creative idea.

And see the next generation love them as much as we do.

My father is a social man, he has plenty of people to talk to at work. But he does not have many friends. That's a skill I learned from them, I guess.

And when I think about it, I just don't want them to be lonely. Mum in her room, at The Place. Wondering why she's alone in an unfamiliar room in a moment of clarity. And Dad sitting alone in a big house that slowly emptied out, no clatter of Legos and sounds of video games, or even the steps of his quiet wife he could take solace in anymore.

Yesterday! It was day 2 of being home alone since my roommate left for the week and I was feeling particularly lonely since another friend wasn't able to hang out with me the last couple of days in addition to feeling isolated from family during the holiday season Plus being on my period --- yeahhh

I did volleyball and basketball a lot in my youth, did soccer in elementary school

I read books and fanfiction, I write fanfiction, watch anime and shows, cook, bake, play genshin impact. I've been playing wordle every day for almost a year now. I like tactical stuff with instructions- like legos or putting together furniture- I got this DIY book nook last week and spent like 8 hours putting it together. In school as part of the STEM program we learned how to draft both by hand and on the computer through CAD and Solidworks- those were fun. I miss that. Again it uses that same part of the brain as legos. I also like playing with cards. I have solitaire and pinocle on my phone. I was also learning how to play chess (like the strategy part)

My family home has the cat I got my 8th birthday (barn cat, brown tabby with four white socks on his paws). In the apartment though there is my roommate's black lab, half ragdoll half Siamese cat, and who knows how many fish that keep having babies

Can there be such a thing as having extreme trivia knowledge on my fandoms? I'd like that alot but otherwise.... I'd like to work at one of those cat [Blank] things. Be it a café or a bar or a bookstore (that'd be awesome!!) I think that would be fun

@snipertrifle tagged me in the 15 things meme, and it's been sitting in my drafts since early October and I finally finished it.

1. Are you named after anyone? Yeah, my mom told my dad's sister she would name her first girl after her, since my aunt passed away young before I was born, and then they had to find a name that worked with that name. So, my middle name is for my aunt, and my first name was a convenience of assonance accompaniment.

2. When was the last time you cried? Like, actual sustained crying, back in June when my dad died. Some occasional tearing up since then, but each time I have immediately walled it off like some kind of imaginary cask of Amontillado because I have legitimately not had the goddamn time for an emotional breakdown until recently. (Now that it's November, I finally do have the time, but my brain is all, 'Hmm. No. I think we better wait for something innocuous in public to set you off unexpectedly. Perhaps the next time you got to Costco. Gotta keep you guessing.' Some poor customer service person is going to wind up on the witness business end of that, and it is going to be super awkward for everyone.)

3. Do you have kids? No, hasn't worked out that way. I always wanted them, though; I never had any doubt that I wanted to be a parent and have kids. It does make me sad. But I have nephews and nieces and godchildren I adore, so that's something.

4. What sports do you play/have played? Swimming, diving, soccer, some track and field, and I can skate well enough to not fall on my face most of the time.

5. Do you use sarcasm? Never.

6. What's the first thing you notice about people? How we would stack up against each other if we were stuck in a situation where cannibalism of the other was the only option for survival. (But in reality, eyes and voices. Sometimes hands.)

7. What’s your eye color? Brown.

8. Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings. I do enjoy scary movies the way God intended, by reading about them in great detail on wikipedia but rarely watching them in full.

9. Any talents? I can tie cherry stems into knots with my tongue; I think my record is like, four in one minute. I can also touch my nose with my tongue and wiggle my ears. I'm okay at writing. Apparently I have the kind of face that people ask me for directions a lot (this is a mistake.)

10. Where were you born? Maryland.

11. What are your hobbies? Reading, writing, hockey, swimming, putting together Legos with the kiddos, screaming about Star Wars, occasional amateur skeletal articulation, foraging, the kind of hiking that's actually just rambling, and baking.

12. Do you have any pets? A turtle obtained through dubious legal means who will probably outlive me, at the rate he's going.

13. How tall are you? 5'6"

14. Favorite subject in school? English, Biology, Art. Surprisingly, Latin.

15. Dream job? I mean, optimally I would receive large amounts of money and not have to work at all! I used to say fiction editor, but now I want to just read whatever I want all day without necessarily trying to make it better. As long as I'm dreaming, anyway.
