Since some readers of my original alien fic have been asking if there is any art for Varen and Natalie, I figure I'd post all of it here. All of my inspiration and art I've commissioned from the amazingly talented and forever awesome @spnfox

Artist of the Month: November 2021

November’s featured artist is another up-and-coming bright spot in the fandom, @wellbegood​ !

When asked about how she became a part of the Bethyl fandom and what inspires her art, she shared the following:

So, how I became a Bethyl fan, you know it’s strange, I actually can’t recall when or how. But when I saw the two of them [Beth and Daryl] interacting together, I KNEW they had feelings for one another, and I KNEW they were going to fall in love. And I wasn’t surprised when they did in the slightest. Beth was instantly my favorite female character, because she was somewhat relatable, and she was so sweet and absolutely gorgeous, I couldn’t help but come to love Bethyl almost immediately. I got into the fandom super late, 2020 as a matter of fact lol. I was stuck in quarantine and was looking for something new to watch (new to me anyway) and everyone had told me to check out TWD, so I finally said alright and dove in head first. I binge watched the entire thing within like two months. I have always been a big zombie fan, but for some reason I could never seem to make myself want to watch it, I guess I just don’t like really long running shows, but I’m so happy I got into this one. As late to the fuckin game as I was!

As for what inspiration I get when it comes to making my little Bethyl creations, it’s just a matter of if I see something and my brain quite literally will go off like a bell and a lightbulb “BETHYL” and I put it into motion as best as I can! And it’s so much fun to do, the end results of each one have always made me happy and smile and pull chunks out of my heart in the best of ways.

Bethyl, as it is for all of us I can imagine, is very near, dear and special to my heart. It’s very important and delicate to me. So I always mean to protect it. Hence why I turn off my comment options on my IG.

On a personal level, I’m a very romantic and gently passionate person in my in love life, and the tenderness and chasteness, and the quiet trust and slow blossoming romance that Bethyl encased, was everything to me.

From strangers, to allies, to friends, and wrapping it all up into lovers, was so mentally done emotionally fulfilling for me. The slow budding trust, and the moments without any spoken words, just talking with each other’s eyes, and the physical walls that came down each step of the way. Obviously for Daryl.

It’s so reminiscent to my own relationship with my partner, who is very much like my own Daryl, minus the slight temper (circa original prison era Daryl), so I’m a little biased lol, forgive me y’all!

I have been working on the ending to Ad Coelum hopefully I’ll have it finished sooner than later, but I’m just trying to find the right ending, get the right feeling for it. All this wonderful art, from such talented artists, it’s getting me inspired.

This sucks.

It's with a foreboding kind of sadness that I watch what's happening on this site and to all my talented friends.

They don't deserve this. They are not harming anyone with their beautiful fan art. They are bringing joy to a shitty world we all have to live in. These people have more talent and goodwill to others than the majority of people I've met in real life.

People like @raizagabriel who once did a drawing for me just because I felt sad. People like @auberghyn who go above and beyond for quality and bringing our fics to actual life like magic. People like @bouncyirwin who work tirelessly to produce wonderful things for us, and has only just got the following numbers to attest to her skill. People like @luna-orlha who have had their entire blog vanish, with no reason. People like @spnfox who puts her own worries on the back burner to bring us joy for nothing. People.

These are real people. And now they watch helplessly as their work, their progress, their joy vanishes.

Their art is not, never has, never will, harming anyone. It deserves the following their hard work has cultivated. How else are artists to be nurtured? What the fuck is wrong with you Tumblr. It pains me that my friends have to essentially start again when we built a supportive and loving community here with people who want to see our works.

I'll stop ranting with this.
