F-14 FUN FACT OF THE DAY #2
The F-14 Tomcat was built around the AIM-54 Phoenix, the US’ only long-ranged air-to-air missile at the time. Despite being carried on F-14s from 1974 to 2004, the Phoenix has only two confirmed launches and zero targets hit.
