I Actually really like the Fyodor scenes myself. I mean I hate his character, he needs to go and is a bigger main antagonist then Fukuchi, but I really like his scenes and seeing him on screen. He still needs to go for calling Chuuya 'Chuuya-san' though, first name privileges regarding the ginger gravity god are copyrighted by Dazai!

He finds the baby in the rubble, miraculously unhurt amongst the rubble of the bombed house.

The baby cries, a high-pitched, ringing wail; the sound of her cry pierces right through him, spearing him to the ground. Her face is smudged with black ash; she smells of soot and smoke and blood. She’s just been thrust into a harsh, confusing world and she’s crying for her mother, her father, the people who love her.

Chuuya swallows.

“You’re alright,” Chuuya soothes, forcing his feet forwards one step at a time, gently picking her out of the debris. Her body is more solid than he’s expected. “You’re safe.”

He’s never held a baby before, or had much to do with one, but he tries.

His arms, he notices, are shaking.

“I couldn’t just leave her.”

“She can’t stay.”

“Dazai, she’s an orphan,” Chuuya says.

His arms tighten around the bundle in his arms, wrapped up and swathed like a miniature mummy in his black jacket. The baby stirs, plump pink lips stretching open into an O, and blinks her bright green eyes open, taking in the room --- and it’s unfamiliar occupant --- with wide-eyed curiosity. 

The ice in Dazai’s eyes melts away.

When everything gets too stressful for Mushitaro, he always listens to Elvis Presley songs over headphones to fall asleep (same)

The whole theatere course in which Nikolai is in plans to stay together even after college to perform little plays

They are really good tho so they probably could make money with thier plays

It already happened a few times that Dazai just couldn't put up with the academic stress and expectations aswell as with all his trauma and suicidal thoughts but didn't wanted to "stress Chuuya even more" so he just went to Oda and Ango to thier office and let himself breakdown there while his father figures comforted him

Oda is the very chill easy going professor of the college which nearly everyone loves

Bram is known as the campus vampire bc he's not only pale af but he also sleeps during the day and in lectures, gets productive at night, always dresses like it's the 1800s, mainly wears black and white colored clothes, and comes from a rich family.

Bram's best friend is Aya who goes to the primary school a few streets away from the campus.

They met in a café where Aya walked up to him and kept asking him if he's really a vampire.

After he found out about her abusive father he basically adopted her

He's mostly either annyoed or tired and he always listens to the radio over his tiny pocket radio

Fyodor is a psychology major who minors in something like religion or music.

Fyodor pretty much never sleeps and tends to overwork himself. Nikolai has to wrestle him to bed at like 3am. (Which isn't hard for him/considering how fragile Fyodor is and how tall and trained Nikolai is)

Fyodor admirers Sigma's personality and his innocence since it's something he lost while living on the streets as a teen.

Thanks to his family Fyodor has religious trauma and after some religion lectures his boyfriends have to beat some sense into that so smart but so stupid brain of his. Especially when he starts thinking again that him being gay will bring him to hell.

Fyodor tells everyone who dared to start small talk with him that he only listens to classical music and then proceeds to blast russian rock in his and his boyfriends' dorm.

Sometimes Fyodor has depressive days where he won't even leave the bed. Then Nikolai, Sigma and Shibusawa will stay with him all day, trying to cheer him up, comfort him and help him

On these days even Dazai comes over to thier dorm to check on his oldest friend. He obviously isn't worried or smth or feels bad for him since he knows how such days are. He is and he does

Bram dragged Lovecraft and Steinbeck with him to see the " The Dance of the Vampire"/"The Fearless Vampire Killers" musical at least 4 times already

Poe, Lucy, Louisa, Magret, Nathaniel, Lovecraft, Steinbeck and Mark are all students from america who study overseas and all went to the same high school together so they know each other pretty well

Study sessions with them are pure chaos

Louisa and Poe are some kind of friends and bond over the fact that they are both often too scared to do some normal things which require social interaction

Whenever Bram's legs start to hurt too much, Lovecraft will do anything he can to help boyfriend his dear friend to feel better (As mentioned in my previous posts, Bram can in fact get up and walk around for a bit again but he can't walk for a long time. He can obviously feel his legs and isn't paralyzed but he struggles with pain from the permanent injuries now too)

Poe despairing over Mark's grammar and pronunciations in his writing assignments for thier literature course which he had to proof read on a daily base

Mark is a good writer tho

Ranpo usually wears glasses bc he can't see shit without them

Nikolai loves to burn CDs for his boyfriends

He either burns thier favorite songs or he makes playlists for them in which he puts a lot of work and effort

For some reason, Shibusawa listens to Orchestral Manoeuvers in the dark on daily base

Ranpo often comes to lectures or goes out in general while wearing sweatshirts or vests which he stole from Poe or Mushitaro. They are very oversized but he doesn't actually mind. He likes oversized clothes.

Chuuya always sends cute videos of the animals from the animal shelter where he works and of which he takes care of to Dazai

He also does this often if he has to go to work but knows Dazai is feeling not that well to cheer him up

It nearly always works

Nikolai and Shibusawa both share a deep hate towards Ivan and Ivan hates them both too so Nikolai and Shibusawa made it thier mission to roast him whenever they can while he dramatically talks shit about them or insults them

Louisa and Lucy, the poly doa and Atsushi and Akutagawa have a bunch of fairy lights hanging around in thier dorms which they turn on every evening. Especially in the cold months

“I told you, I was picking her up today.” Chuuya muttered under his breath, elbowing Dazai- a benefit to his height since he didn’t have to move much to aim it straight to the lanky man’s ribs. His eyes never left Aya’s figure as she gushed her accomplishment on Kunikida’s face, effectively blocking his laptop with her paper of a math quiz she thoroughly aced, “Now it’ll take more than an hour to get her away from your four-eyed worker,”

“Exactly~” Dazai chimed in a sing-song voice, unfazed from the hit, to which Chuuya rolled his eyes at.

He had told Dazai earlier this morning that he’ll pick up Aya from her school so he could surprise her on a new cake shop nearby, but the bandaged-man beat him to it again and managed to convince her that her math achievement was apparently a more pressing issue. And who better to annoy than the ex-math teacher Kunikida, which falls for both Dazai and Aya’s whims.

Two things got to him: The amount of free time Dazai had was annoying, and the fact that Aya was getting Dazai’s perks for annoying certain partners was unnerving.

Cue his third thought: Sorry, Kunikida.

It wasn’t until he had seated himself on the couch of the office and Dazai had brought him sweetened coffee (“Five cubes of sugar?! Really, Dazai?!”) that Aya finally trotted to his side, accomplishment beaming on her face.

He had an idea that it wasn’t just from the math quiz anymore, considering how Kunikida was now furiously rewriting schedules on his Ideals.

Chuuya reached out and patted her head, giving his own warm smile, “Congratulations, sunshine,”

“Thank you!” She giggled and settled beside him, pulling the side his coat over her head as she rummaged through her bag. It became a habit of her to huddle under his coat, the first few times made Chuuya uncomfortable with whatever smell or stains had gotten there from previous missions that she didn’t seem to particularly mind, until he decided to get a couple more cleaner coats to use when he drops by her school or the Agency.

At these times, Dazai is already on the sofa in front of them, a broad smile on his face, watching with fondness his little beans together. He tried his luck before with getting on the other side of Chuuya’s coat but to no avail, and for once, he cursed his tall stature.

“Oh, and I drew this!” Aya beamed as she pulled out a paper from her bag, cutting off Dazai’s thoughts as he scrambled beside them, peeking over their shoulders.

There, in bright crayon colors, were three people- and it wasn’t hard to distinguish who they were: Chuuya with his vivid orange hair topped with his hat, and what would look like his trademark smirk; Dazai and his easy-going grin, clad in warm brown colors; and Aya, holding their hands together with an open-mouthed smile on her face. Chuuya’s eyes lit up as he leaned over and kissed the top of her head, smile uncontainable as he continued to ruffle her hair.

“That’s beautiful, Aya-chan,” Dazai said, wrapping his arms over them as he laughed, “You captured my beauty better than chibi’s~!”

Chuuya snorted, “Maybe I do prefer seeing Aya’s drawing of you now. You may leave, real life Dazai.” He made shooing motions with his free hand, smirk faltering back to a smile, even when Dazai feigned a look of hurt

“Chuuuuuuya!” Dazai gasped dramatically, “I work here!”

“You may leave, real life Dazai,”

“Kunikida-kun! Don’t side with them!” He lets out an exaggerated sigh, slumping against the backrest of the seat. After a few moments of whining and Aya’s little pats on his head, he finally pipes back up, “Can I keep it?”

“What? No, I’m keeping it.” Chuuya huffed and pulls Aya over to his other side, out of Dazai’s reach, who resumed a louder version of his whining.

“I’ll draw another one!” Aya said, grasping her bag once more as she stood up, “I’ll make one now!”

“And I get to see my little master artist work? My, how lucky of me~!” Dazai pushed himself back up to follow her to his rarely used desk, crayons and paper already spread on the desk top. Chuuya laughs and rests longer on the couch, taking in as much of the calm atmosphere as he can. He briefly sees the look of slight irritation on Kunikida’s face (Dazai is probably supposed to do his paperwork, judging by the stack of papers adjacent his desk) but one sigh later, he resumed typing on his laptop and the faintest of smile crossed his face.

“Make sure chibi stays chibi, okay Aya-chan?”

Okay, maybe not as calm as he thought, “Augh, Dazai. Shut it would ya?!” He growled out, half-heartedly at most, but he smiled anyways. Chuuya looked back down to his lap, eyes softening, heart warm, as his fingers traced the paper of their first family photo.

Chuuya’s alone. He sits propped up on pillows in the hospital bed, the blankets pooled around his waist, with the radio turned on to mask the silence and the beeping of the machines.

He’s fine. He’s a little sore, and very tired, but the doctors have examined him thoroughly and he’s absolutely fine. He lies on the bed listening as the nurses talk with Dazai about the baby — how to care for his cord, and when she should get her first feed — and after he’s signed papers and gotten a folder of instructions, Chuuya hears Dazai’s approach, with the baby in his arms.

He jumps off the bed and closes the door before Dazai can get there. “You know what we agreed on.” Chuuya says through it. “You said — We said we’d give her away. We can’t keep her. I won’t — She can’t —.”

“I know.”

“We didn’t discuss any names, but I — Her name’s Aya.”

Colourful. Beautiful.

She’d survived despite all the odds. His little nudger at first, and then later, his kicker.

“Okay.”

“Chuuya —”

Chuuya leans his forehead against the door. “You have to take her away. Please. You promised.”

Words that would cause him infinite shame later.

There’s a pause. Through the flimsy wooden door Chuuya can hear rustles of clothing a tiny faint grunt. Chuuya spreads his hand on the door, as if he could reach through it, through the few inches, to take back all his words, to touch Dazai and Aya both.

Dazai walks away. Chuuya listens to him gathering his things in total silence. Chuuya imagines Dazai wrapping their baby up warm in the clothes that they’d bought. And then his footsteps get further and further away until Chuuya can’t hear anything at all.

Chuuya closes his eyes. He feels as if he’s barely opened them today. He thinks of those small sounds, through the door. He thinks f the small head, with its downy red hair — he knows without looking that it’s red — nestled in the crook of her father’s arm. The unfurled mouth, the squashed red cheeks, the toothless gums. The scent of her skin, still pungent from the amniotic fluids. His arms ache from not holding her. His baby. Their baby.

“You deserve better parents, Aya,” Chuuya whispers, and trails a hand over his bandaged stomach.

I'm writing on a longer post about a Soukoku AU where they live in a studio ghibli like world without abilities in a small town at the sea.

Chuuya works in the bakery of his brother Verlaine who will travel to France for a few weeks with his husband Arthur Rimbaud as thier honeymoon. Due to this, they search someone who is willing to help Chuuya in the bakery even tho Chuuya exclaimed that he can handle it alone. Verlaine is still a very overprotective and caring brother.

Dazai is the son of a rich fisherman but he never worked at his dad's buisness or worked in general. He only wants to write and stay at home which doesn't help with his constant boredom and his depression at all. After some time, his dad wants him to find a real job where he earns money.

Eventually they both met one morning in the bakery and fall in love instantly. Dazai suddenly would work day and night for this man aswell as to get to know him and applys for the job even though he can't bake for shit. Bc Verlaine will watch him bake something in a few weeks as a test, he seeks the help of his childhood friends Fyodor and Nikolai aswell as from thier husbands Sigma and Shibusawa.

Fyodor and Nikolai both fled from thier home counties as teens and now they live in the small town. Fyodor works at the local bookstore and many find the quiet and intelligent russian man creepy. In truth he isn't evil at all. Nikolai works at the local theatre, Sigma works at the local gambling hall and hates Dazai and Shibusawa is the towns best Tailor. All of them are married to each other.

He also seeks the help of his own siblings Elise and Yumeno. After a week of hard work he gets the job and he and Chuuya work together while falling in love even more. Some slight shit happens, leading them to comfort each other and confess. When Paul and Arthur arrive back in the town, he gets greeted by a very happy new couple. Also Dazai finally found happiness too.

Ft. Ranpo as the towns private detective, Poe, Ranpo's boyfriend who works together with Fyodor in the towns bookstore, Mushitaro as Poe and Ranpo's stressed roommate (or boyfriend. Nobody knows), Atushi as fisherman in training, Akutagawa as worker in the local flower shop who is secretly dating the sunshine Atushi, Gin who is Higuchi's wive and works with her brother at the flower store, Yosano as Ranpo's childhood friend, Koyo's wive and the towns local doctor who is worried about Dazai's depression hole, Jouno and Tecchou as married police men, Bram as the mysterious Earl and bookstore owner who adopted Aya (also he is in a wheelchair but can walk short lengths) and Kenji as the farmer boy from a farm from outside the town who brings vegetables to the towns stores and flour to the bakery.

I'm still writing on every thing but it's just something comforting to me.
