Introducing my Circus AU!

The basic rundown- Eda and Luz run the Boiling Isles Circus, mainly a way to make money for Eda but Luz has a blast performing!

Hunter gets sent by Belos to join the circus as a spy, but over the months Hunter finds himself feeling at home with everyone and slowly falls for Luz, becoming torn between his new feelings and obligations for the Emperor’s coven

The more I watch the deeper down this hole I go. People say he and Pudding bonded, but there is history and too much evidence for cigarettes and oranges. Also I see Nami as loving Sanji but being about as internal, unless something serious happens like wci, as he is external. Both possibly due to their past traumas.

Concept: After the Guild arc, the news wants to do a live interview with the people directly responsible for stopping the Moby Dick from crashing and saving the city.

AKA. Atsushi and Akutagawa

It takes a bit of deliberation on both parts, but the Agency and Mafia eventually agree, because they feel it will be good PR.

They both get trained, as well as doing some join practices, for how to speak on live tv and not sound like they want to kill each other.

On the actual day of the interview, Atsushi and Akutagawa are there on screen, Dazai and Chuuya are behind the camera to guide their respective orphan's and get them to smile more (or in Akutagawa's case, look a little bit less like he wants to murder the camera), and Mori and Fukuzawa are there as the leaders of the organizations.

So. Three generations of skk under roof while the tv is live? What could possibly go wrong?

Personally? As much as I love and will always do Sokokou with the refusing to admit feels and have a daughter from the book for them because I think they scream girl dads......I actually really love Kunikida. I love his teamwork with Dazai, his persona,his power.....they are the Double Black of the Agency. I want more Kunikida too and would love to see him and Chuuya interact a lot more. I just don't ship him with Dazai in the romantic sense.

Waaait, pls help me, so does Asagiri mean in his recent interview that he didn’t want skk but producer made him?? Or he simply just misses kunikida and wants him back in action? Or both? I’ve seen different translations and am sooo confused, would be kind of sad if he isn’t actually invested in them but was pressured instead

The way I read this was:

- Kunikida and Dazai were designed to be partners

- Chuuya was designed to be Dazai's past partner, but became so popular that Asagiri ended up having to use him more

- An accidental consequence of that was that Asagiri gets asked to write Chuuya (and Dazai) more, which ended up being at the expense of making Dazai team up with Kunikida as planned

- From these same consequences, Asagiri misses Kunikida and wishes to write him more, especially interacting with Dazai (to which I say, then stop killing him PLEASE)

- Asagiri has no plan to play with the skk ~secret feelings~ in canon, and for canon what we see is what we will get: a scarily powerful duo who throw insults at each other (because they don't like each other). Glimpses of fear or remorse like Lovecraft's battle and Meursault jailbreak are probably as much complicated feelings as we're gonna get.

- The "but, actually..." of their feelings for each other is the fans' responsibility. Derivative works (fanfic, fanart, headcanons, etc.) were explicitely encouraged for such cases

- A lack of interest in playing with the metaphorical "will they/won't they" of skk does not mean a lack of interest in the characters. Asagiri still loves Chuuya and wrote an enormous light novel about him. Asagiri still loves Dazai and all his ~mysteriousness~ and thinks that in different circumstances Dazai could be the main character. But Asagiri yearns for more Kunikida action.

- if anyone tries to use this in ship discourse tell them to sit down because the author doesn't decide what is allowed to be shipped and Asagiri literally encouraged fans, not for the first time, to play with 'what ifs'. WHAT are they talking about.

- Asagiri if you're reading this: malicious compliance. Write Chuuya and Dazai as everyone wants you to, but slap Kunikida in there too. Force the three of them to interact. If you play your cards right you can watch the Kunikida popularity skyrocket by association and then be free to do whatever you want.

So I am well aware the Barians are like the toughest enemies and stuff........then I watch their half of the series and be like "these guys are the big bad most powerful elite imperial court of big bad Barian World? I know they're supposed to be ancient heros and all, but really Don Thousand? These adorable morons?!"

Now full disclosure in that I love a human girl with a non-human/creature guy (yes I know Na/Lu fits this since we know Natsu is a Demon).

That being said I still ship Lolu (I used to ship GraLu because of they always looked good to me BUT then we met Juvia the Rain Women and the rest is history lol). I just love the history between these two and how Loke can act like a total fan lion yet still be a total gentlemen towards Lucy. Lucy's also called him a powerhouse or somehow otherwise mentioned his strength, especially lately it seems. I love seeing her summoning him and Virgo as they are (imo) the spirits she has the dearest bond with. I was so pissed when Lucy didn't fight him in the Eclipse Arc, that would have been amazing! A huge Lolu lost opportunity! But yeah.....chemistry. history. Their undeniable bond. Babies need to get together and be the next pair to have babies.

Kinda want to rewatch Fairy Tail, kinda don't knowing Lucy doesn't end up with Loke or Gray.

Looking back at it, Natsu treated Lucy so horribly. Calling her fat as "jokes", calling her "weak" at some points in battle, or the cheap "she's always n*ked in battles", ditching her for a year with nothing but a letter, constantly breaking into her house and gr0ping her multiple times...

Loke always made Lucy his priority. Even after he becomes a spirit again, he broke through worlds to make sure she's okay. He adores Lucy to bits and always made sure she was complimented. Not once did he make her feel like she wasn't valued.

And Gray was the only one who really treated Lucy with respect too. He properly apologized after hurting her before the fight with E.N.D, and actually had a canon crush on her for a while. His monotone/cooler temper would've been a better match for Lucy.

It amazes me how people still defend Na/lu. Don't get me wrong, there's still a couple cute moments. But the vast majority of interactions between Natsu and Lucy makes it seem like Lucy is just better off with someone else or with no one at all.

Anybody else Headcannon the Barians using their Mythyrian Numbers? Like Alito could have used Sandayu and Lion Heart. I do get why only Shark and Vector used their own Numbers and it was their Numbers that got Chaos forms......still wasted potential. Especially with how special these 7 are reported to supposed to be.
