she’d just left for a few minutes; unfortunately, due to the time difference, the only moment the university had available to give her some call was during her nighttime. it’s a bit annoying, ryujin had no interest in leaving her boyfriend’s ( her heart still races at the title ) sleeping arms, but she’s nothing if not responsible. just a few seconds, answer their survey thing, then she’d be back cuddled up to his side. 

ryujin hadn’t expected to take so long and, before she knows it, she’s scrambling to reach her panicking boyfriend. sleepy, babbling about some nightmare where she’d never come back made worse by waking up to an empty bed. pungent guilt crawls over her ribs as she cradles him, lips pressing determined kisses wherever they could reach. “ i’m so sorry, ” jin mumbles between them, nails raking through his hair. “ i’m so so so sorry. ”

“ i was wrong, i’m sorry it took me so long to realize it. ” ryujin hums, tilting his chin to properly bump noses. she was an idiot for ever thinking she was nothing more than a game to him, doesn’t know if it’s even possible to describe how much she regrets leaving him, even if it was for a few ( horrendously long ) months.  “ but.. m’not going anywhere, okay? i’m all yours, noel. always. ”
