                    eventually, he lowers it & forgets to wipe the white moustache from his face. eyes narrow nervously as he places the carton down & folds his arms to look confident. he didn't look confident. in truth, he had gotten the callback to his recent audition, right after mason didn't receive any callback from another. their friendship was founded in trust & love, unconditional care for one another. but it was that same care that drowned ken in fear for breaking his friend's heart. he knew mason would be supportive, but he also knew he would compare. he didn't want to bring him down. instead, he's attempted to hide it & hope mason can find that spark again. suddenly, ken coughs & wipes his mouth. ❝ wow. that milk is way beyond its expiry date. but please, stop asking. i'm not hiding anything. ❞
