main story 12 spoilers (ish. just in regards to luke's symptoms but this is mostly me making headcanons now)

im just thinking....imagine if luke's hallucinations coincide with his nerve pain episodes.

the nerve pain transforms into gruesome hallucinations like hes on fire, or like he stabbed himself, or like he got shot, or like he's drowning even if he's on land, or like electrical currents are going through his whole body, or like he lost a limb, and the sensation of pain mixed with the visuals of the hallucination make it so that luke experiences each instance as if it's reality, like he's actually suffering from a horrifying injury.

luke calling up aaron in hysterics one day asking him how to stop the bleeding of an abdomen stab wound but it wont stop bleeding no matter what he does and aaron has to ground him and calm him down and tell him to get his meds instead of bandaging a wound that doesnt exist. "i know it's terrifying right now, but you have to trust me, okay? the bleeding will go away if you take your meds."

later, once luke's meds have taken into effect, aaron is still on the line of the phonecall and luke is silent

"hey, you doing alright?" aaron asks

luke's voice is shaky and quiet. "i just…hate this. not even being able to tell whats real or not anymore."

"well...at the very least, im definitely real. and im here for you. dont you ever forget that, kid"

im Delighted to hear that!! (also hi! your laughingstock art is adorable!)

Sally isn't really evil per se... she's just sleepwalking! while having mild to intense nightmares! most of the time she just sleeps in her house, but once per day she takes a walk - a "patrol" - around the neighborhood before going back to sleep. every so often she wakes up Extra agitated, and needs to be soothed to sleep or she'll get destructive. in general, though, Nightlight!Sally just patrols and attacks anything that makes noise until it goes Quiet again

and Barnaby! well! he's having the most wonderful dreams <3

Sam was stated to be non-binary/not conform to the sort of normal gender roles cause they're supposed to be an ambiguous MC, but it's said they can be interpreted in any way so wooo!

We would probably have to get into gender expression or something things like that, which, don't get me wrong, are important for representation in video games, might take too long and ruin the fun of a cool headcanon!

Semi-headcanon?... whatever! Doesn't matter, it's cool, it makes sense!! Gende!!!!
