absolutely nothing prompted this btw but I have to speak my truth. if The Plot did not put you in such frequent contact with Balgruuf I would never think of him. I still never think of him because I don't bother with The Plot very much. I know a lot of people love him but I find him kind of forgettable I'm so sorry everyone

random but do you have alstor headcanons ?

I have a few headcanons.

TW for abuse and manipulation

Alastor has a deep interest in radios. He does research about all different types of radios, their model and make, and their differences. He likes to rambles about them to Husk and Niffty

Alastor and Velvette are friends. Velvette as a popular overlord has a haircare company for black sinners in Hell, there Alastor learned how to take care of his texture hair and start embracing it with the help of Velvette. (Before he was straightening his hair because he internalized the racism of the 1930s and tried to look more white so people and companies would give him respect.)

I can imagine Velvette and Alastor has had some interesting and comedic moments in their friendship because of the contrast in their different personalities.

He met Husk when they were children and was best friends until Husk killed Alastor in his 30s.

He is trauma-bonding with Husk and Niffty (The actual meaning)

He and Husk have gotten into multiple graphic fights about his contracts with Husk and Niffty and how he abuses them.

Alastor likes to lead Niffty on, feeding into her fantasy of being the perfect house wife, feeds on her insecurities of not being perfect and useless while taking advantage of Niffty's need for male validation. He makes empty promises to Niffty and set up dates with her, only to stand her up and makes Niffty run back to him by love-bombing her with gifts and complements.

He makes fun of Husk's addictions. Whenever Husk is trying to get sober, Alastor will purposely put Husk in situations where he has to drink or gamble due to peer pressure and urges cause by being in addictions encouraging environments.

As much as Alastor claims to be a gentleman, he is not and uses it to feel greater about himself and push people like Husk down, making fun of them.
