i’m looking for more kotlc blogs to follow and really like yours, do you have by recommendations?
Oh, that's so sweet of you! And yes, I can recommend some blogs. This list is by no means exhaustive, and I'm sure to forget some lovely individuals, but I'll do my best!
I know a lot of us have interacted for a while or been around a while, and seeing us call each other names or refer to things that happened before you were here can make you feel like an outsider, but we're very open to new people and love to support each other! So please don't let it deter you, we'd love to have you
@theunmappedstar - this is an abandoned blog, but Nattie was a cornerstone of the fandom when he was here, and at the top of his blog you can find a whole assortment of incredible fanfictions!
@silveny-dreams - Sil's rarely active these days, but she wrote several incredible fanfictions you can find at the top of her blog. Loves Grady and Edaline, and an incredibly sweet person
@everliving-everblaze - Catherine is a well-known fanfic writer and lover of sophitz! She has some incredible works and is intimately familiar with the kotlc wiki, having been its admin for a while. Highly recommend her
@lusilver001 - Lu is an absolutely phenomenal fan-artist, creating visually stunning pieces of several of the characters. They're highly celebrated for a reason!
@fintan-pyren - Fin is a chaotic but endearing presence heavily associated with Fintan Pyren (hence the username). Lots of jokes about being Fintan, about Fintan x Dimitar, and overall fun. If you like to mess around with canon, Fin's a great follow!
@synonymroll648 - Izzy's an unbelievably talented writer, commonly associated with sokeefitz! Faer very encouraging, supportive, and hard-working, everything she produces being top-notch and worth the read!
@camelspit - Roisin's a fanartist who somehow goes above and beyond with everything he creates! With a unique and easily recognizable style, she draws everything from canon to shitposts and I highly recommend checking it all out!
@flori-doodles - With an absolutely ethereal artstyle, Florida is a staple for all your fanart wants and needs! Cannot recommend his work enough, she truly brings the characters to life
@xanadaus - Tobi is a beloved fandom member responsible for several incredible events, like the Ten Years of Keeper Event we just wrapped up! He's also got a myriad of other talents to keep an eye out for on his blog
@gay-otlc - S is your go to for a bunch of queer, chaotic keeper content. He's well-known for throwing canon out the window in favor of making everything gay, which has endeared him to the fandom
There are so many other incredible people in the kotlc fandom here, so if I haven't listed you that's not because I don't love your blogs!! I'm sure I've forgotten multiple talented individuals. By following or checking out many of these people, you'll notice them interacting with others regularly and can discover more of us that way. Or, if you'd like, I can do another sweep and expand the list!
I encourage anyone who sees this to reblog it with further suggestions, which 100% includes yourself if I haven't mentioned you! I hope this gives you a good start, Nonsie! And welcome to the kotlc side of tumblr, we're thrilled to have you :)

Sokeefe one-shot
headcanon that they both have awful nightmares and some night they’ll call each other for company and then end up falling asleep together
Sophie sighed, curling her knees toward her chest. Grady was off on an assignment again, and Edaline was in the goblin capital for consultation with her bodyguard. Tonight was the first night in a while Sophie was spending on her own.
The gnomes had assured her that they didn’t need help with the animals, but Sophie remained in the pasture anyway as the sun began to dip behind the mountains.
She rubbed the noses of the two baby alicorns spread on the grass besides her. Silveny and Greyfall were nearby, but Wynn and Luna refused to leave Sophie’s side whole she was out of the house. Gently, she kissed them each on the soft fur of their forehead and rose, Sandor following her as she wound her way back to the house.
It was a quiet evening, and after a late dinner, Sophie sat down to do some homework. She had been neglecting the growing pile lately, but it was enough now to cause a small amount of anxiety.
She struggled through her Linguistics and Inflicting work, but by the time she was done, she was yawning. With a glance towards the stairs, she decided to be done for the night. Lady Cadence insisted on assigning an extraordinary amount of work, and it was enough to make Sophie want to curl up and not move for a century.
She made her way upstairs, waiting outside her room as Sandor and Flori did their nightly sweeps. With a quick thank you, she slipped inside and shut the door behind her.
Sophie showered quickly, changing into a soft shirt to sleep in and leggings. She tied her hair into a quick braid, struggling to keep her eyes open.
Sitting on her bed, she reached for the memory log on the bedside table. But once she reached out, she hesitated, fingers wrapping around the pink sedative next to it instead. She turned over the vial in her hands. She hadn’t been sleeping very well, and the exhaustion was catching up with her. She almost fell asleep in history today. Maybe it would be smarter to take the sedative, just this once.
But she didn’t uncork it. She set the vial back onto the table and clicked off the lights, snuggling down in her bedding with Ella. Surprisingly enough, it was only a few minutes before she slipped into a restless sleep.
A loud, obnoxious sound echoed through her half-formed dream, and Sophie dragged herself back to full consciousness. Her imparter was ringing. She lunged for the gadget.
Keefe’s face filled the small screen. His eyes were wide, dark circles underneath, and instead of his normal messy hair, he was sporting a look unfortunately similar to Sophie’s pineapple-head.
“Keefe? What’s wrong? Is everything okay?” Sophie rubbed at her tired eyes, worry instantly rising.
He ran a hand through his hair. “No, I... I’m sorry, it’s not important.” He looked away.
“What’s the matter?”
“I had a nightmare,” Keefe finally admitted after a beat. “And I just... called you. I shouldn’t have, it was pointless, but I just—“
“I get it,” Sophie interrupter gently. “Do you want to come over?”
She glanced at her clock; it was nearly three in the morning. But it wasn’t like she’d be able to sleep now.
“Um, sure.” Keefe’s cheeks were flushed a light pink. He hung up, and Sophie climbed out of bed and grabbed a hairbrush, snapping to turn on the lights.
“Ms. Foster, there will be no inappropriate behavior.” Sandor called through the door.
Sophie stride over and pulled it open a few inches. “I know. Don’t worry, we’ll be good.” She tugged the brush through the knots in her hair.
“Mr. Ruewen would not approve,” Sandor warned her.
“Grady isn’t here. And it’s not like we’re going to do anything. I just don’t want him to have to be alone.”
Sandor had no reply to that, and Sophie dropped the brush onto the table again. After only a few moments, Keefe shuffled in, still wearing his pajamas and clutching Mrs. Stinkbottom. His hair was noticeably neater now.
“Hey,” Sophie yawned and patted the bed next to her in invitation, smiling when he sat. She folded her legs underneath her. “Are you okay?”
Keefe nodded. “I shouldn’t have woken you. I can go.” He made to stand, but Sophie leaned forward to stop him.
“Stay. Please.”
Keefe refuses to look at her, but didn’t move.
Sophie moved her hand from where she had set it on his wrist, scooting closer to lean her head on his shoulder.
He stiffened, but relaxed after a few seconds, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
Sophie fought against her heavy eyelids, but it was only a few moments before she fell asleep again.
The sound of snores penetrated her dreamless sleep, and Sophie grumbled, snuggling closer to the warmth next to her.
Realizing what it was, her eyes shot open. She was curled up next to a sleeping, snoring Keefe. He clung to her and Mrs. Stinkbottom. Ella was still tucked under her arm.
Sophie glanced at the clock, grateful to see that it had only been an hour. Edaline wasn’t due home till mid-afternoon.
She thought about moving, but Keefe was so peaceful, and it was the first night in weeks that she had slept without nightmares. Quietly, she snapped her fingers, turning off the lights, and gently moved to pull one of the throw blankets from the foot of her bed over them.
Sophie snuggles in next to Keefe, under his arm like before. He shifted, bringing her closer. She didn’t know why, but she felt safer than she had in a long time, and fell asleep in only a few moments.

Linh was everywhere.
Not in the physical sense, of course, but here, standing under the Panakes in a sweeping purple ball gown, she was all that truly existed to Sophie at this moment.
Beautiful, strikingly poised with her hands clasped behind her back, and looking like something out of a dating sim, Linh was life, laughter, and love all at once, in perfect harmony with all six elements, even shadowflux, as she opened her perfect mouth and began to sing.
At first, Sophie was not sure of the tune- it sounded like something soft and gentle- but eventually she recognized it as a song from her childhood in the Forbidden Cities.
A rather smarmy pop song, but coming out of Linh’s mouth, it was an angel’s melody, and Sophie began to realize why her last name was Song as Linh kept singing, this time more clearly, and Sophie remembered some of the lyrics:
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don’t be afraid,
I have loved you for a thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand more
And all along, I believed I would find you…
And then, Sophie got a strong urge to run to her and kiss her until the end of time.
But when she got closer, the landscape suddenly became bathed in blood, and Linh’s song gradually became quieter, and more mournful, until it was naught but a sorrowful, near-silent whisper, nothing more.
It escalated almost too fast for Sophie to process. She tried to grab Linh’s hand, but as she reached, the ground beneath Linh opened up, and the girl with the silver-tipped hair gave Sophie an alarmed look as she plunged into the darkness below.
It wasn’t very deep, and Sophie could see that Linh had fallen into a seemingly bottomless cavern of water, but instead of trying to get out, Linh simply floated there, the expression on her face having changed from fear to pure betrayal, looking up at Sophie, watching her silently as her silver-blue eyes pierced Sophie’s heart, staring deep into her deepest secrets as Linh sank to the bottom, submissively, quietly.
The silver tips of her hair hung limply around her neck.
Like a halo.
Like a noose.
Sophie tried to scream, but nothing came out, and her silent pleas fell upon deaf ears as she watched her soulmate’s face slowly contort and turn blue from the very element she had mastered.
And with that, Sophie Elizabeth Foster awoke with a start in the dark, buried in the heavy blankets of her and Linh’s bed, the latter with her arms wrapped around Sophie’s stomach, her own pressed into the small of Sophie’s back, the two of them two spoons that fit together like puzzle pieces.
Sophie pressed a hand to her face in the darkness and noticed she had been sweating. Plus, her eyes were a little watery. It took her a moment, but she was finally able to correctly identify the scene she had just witnessed as not real, as a simple nightmare.
Nightmare.
That word alone gave Sophie chills, but she had sworn off sedatives long ago, and besides, when they had gotten married, she’d assumed Linh’s warmth was the only sedative she needed.
Evidently she had been wrong.
But she refused to show the echo that had never quite left that she was weak enough to pass up real dreams for flowery images of glittery pineapples in tutus.
Still, though, this one had felt much too real, so she rolled over and gently nudged Linh, who eventually raised tired eyes to her.
“Sophie? What’s-” She yawned. “-What’s wrong? It must be 3 AM.”
“Linh, I’m really sorry for this, but-”
“Another nightmare?”
Sophie managed a smile. Linh knew her so well. “Yeah. It-it was kind of terrifying. I just… I don’t know why I woke you up. I’m sorry.”
Linh placed a hand on Sophie’s shoulder. “Don’t you dare apologize. You know that I’ll always be there to help. It was in our wedding vows, remember?”
“How could I forget?” It was true. Their vows had been unique ones. Sophie had loved saying them, though.
Linh smiled- a warm, genuine, reassuring smile that momentarily made Sophie forget all her worries.
But the dark feeling was back in another second with a vengeance.
“It’s okay,” Linh said, wrapping her arms around her wife again. “Look. Just breathe and watch the water,” she said, creating a small ball of water in the space between them and shifting it into different forms (first a heart, then a ball, then multiple shapes). Sophie forced her tired brain to comply, and within a few minutes, her breathing had slowed down and she was thinking more clearly.
“There. Better now?” Linh asked gently.
Sophie’s only response was to pull her partner into a soft kiss. After they broke away, Sophie grabbed Linh’s hand and murmured “I love you.”
She thought she heard Linh’s response, but she couldn’t quite make it out as she drifted off to sleep once again, her dreams of Silveny and Greyfell and Linh and Havenfield no longer plagued by darkness, death, or fear.
She thought she heard Amy’s voice, too. But perhaps it was simply an echo from other, more complicated times.
