Hello Smooches !!
I've been in Signora loving mood lately and realized she (and tbh most of harbingers) are a perfect material for slow burn and wasn't the same ever since
At first, she might even find reader annoying and not worthy of her time. Reader will have to put extra effort to get Signora to talk to them. Once you're able to get through her icy walls, Rosalyne very slowly, but surely warms up toward you
It's a long process, of course, but you learn more and more things about her. At first they're more average - she's from Mondstadt, studied in Sumeru, etc etc. But as you grow closer she tells you about her past lover and his tragic demise. Consider yourself very lucky, bc it's a sign that Signora trusts you deeply
When Rosalyne starts to catch feelings for you, she's feeling all sorts of things, but mostly guilt and fear. Guilt before Rostam and fear that you'll end up like him. Being a lover of someone from fatui is no joke, what if someone targets you to hurt her? What if she loses control of her flames and hurts you in process? Signora decides to put away these feelings and pretend everything is fine.
Reader takes the matter in their hands and confesses to Rosalyne themself. It's one of the few moments you can see Rosalyne truly vulnerable, as she, while happy you're feeling the same, warns that it's very very dangerous to have relationship with her... Reader knew that already, they know the risks and are ready to take them
-🥀
THIS??? MADE ME EMOTIONAL FOR NO REASON?? GOD I MISS SIGNORA SO MUCH. The slow burn is REAL. Ugh she has so many walls up at all times so it's really hard to even get through ONE. Even if you manage to crack it, she'll just seal it right back up if you're not smart about it. At first, she's no-nonsense, strict, maybe a little sarcastic at your futile attempts to even make small talk with her. She really has no interest in making acquaintances, much less friends, and even less, love. So it's going to be a long journey - just make sure you're prepared and willing to go through with it... there's no backing out at a certain point. Mainly when she starts to share little bits of information here and there, make sure you remember it and also try to piece it together because it's hard for her to remember and talk about her past plainly. And she will be very pleased when you remember things about her. Not to mention she'll do the same for you - remember the things you share about yourself as well.
Signora starts to take you on all of her missions. To Mondstadt. To Liyue. Back to Snezhnaya. And everyone notices. Including herself. And yet she tries to deny it. It's purely because you are a reliable person. Hardworking, careful. It has nothing to do with how she feels her frozen heart beat once more when she looks at you or how she finds the little random things you do when you think no one's looking adorable. Or how she feels irritation bubble up in her when other people try to talk or Archons forbid hit on you. But she knows she simply can't. She simply cannot go through what she did with Rostam again. She fears what will happen to her and you if it did.
Just go and confess first ;( Just be real and genuine, and even Rosalyne won't be able to reject you despite her initial intentions and guardedness. She loves you so so much, but she still cannot help but fear for your safety. Though, if you're truly ready and willing to take the risk to love her, she promises to protect you with everything she has as long as you stay by her side.
#smooches talks#🥀 anon#signora love notes <3#i miss her everyday :( i love this so much#u will see me on the news if shes not in natlan...#do u think we'll ever get an official design of rostam#i think we will a long time from now

YOU DIDN'T TEACH ME HOW TO FORGET YOU. ( childe x reader, part two )
╰┈➤ you never thought your lover was hiding something so cruel from you.
pairings — childe / tartaglia x fem!reader.
warnings — reader is a ragnvindr (not specified whether adopted or not, so it's up to you), reader have an anemo vision, reader and childe are 20, kaeya is older than diluc (personal headcanon of mine lmao), lumine is the traveler, HEAVY ANGST with some small amounts of fluff, yandereish behavior, possessiveness, a battle, injuries and scar mentions, violence, suggestiveness and smut descriptions.
word count — 8.5k
notes — phew, this was a long ride!!! don't worry, there will be a part three coming soon to your dash and more genshin fics from me too !!!!
find part one here.
if anybody told you what would transpire when you agreed to go to liyue with the traveler and paimon, you would’ve laughed on their faces without a second thought.
seeing ajax again had always been a fever dream — sometimes you thought he was a fever dream, but the lost pair of your mother’s earring was the reminder that he existed in your past. in your memories, once, but now he was here, and you were with him. you could feel his warmth beneath your palms, feel his breath in your neck whenever his arms held you while you prepared breakfast, you could look at his eyes and memorize every shade of blue present on his orbs to never forget again. you could hear his voice whispering soothing words in your ear every night before sleep, hear his melodic and boyish laugh and be infected by it, following in with your own happy sounds.
but, just like his vision, he was just water reflecting your own face — it didn’t matter how much you tried to reach, you never could reach him. the ajax you met when you were only eight, the little boy who helped you find your family. you understand that boy had already been killed by life just like the little girl you were once was when crepus ragnvindr died in your brother’s arms, but you still saw that boy when ajax was ajax.
it was fitting for someone with two names to be two different persons.
childe and ajax were two different persons, even though they were the same. childe was charming and arrogant, reckless and confident in his abilities. you liked that version of him, with his confident smile and smooth words — it made him look like the knight in shining armor of the stories your mother used to read for you, and childe always managed to make you flustered and sigh like a young girl in love. but you preferred ajax, the side of him that only came out when you two were in the confines of his house, skin to skin, breathless whispers of declarations of love and desperate kisses. he was there when your head was on his chest, listening to his heartbeat while his hands were drawing circles on your skin, lips open to tell you about what happened in the years you two were away from each other.
you learned how childe was born in a night like that, when ajax told you what happened when he was fourteen.
your heart hurt and bled for him, hearing him tell how he fell into the abyss and was rescued and trained by a swordswoman named skirk, while his hands played with your hair while the moonlight hit the both of you — he didn’t tell you much about what happened in the three months he spent there, but you could imagine how tourtours it was for a fourteen-year-old child. it was the same age when your brother rose to be a captain in the knights of favonius, and you remembered how much he changed after that. it wasn’t the best comparison, but it was what you could relate to. he also told you how his father wanted him to join the fatui, as a way to tame his actions, but ajax wanted to conquer the world by himself, without the help of any organization.
but the fatui recruited him, nonetheless, making him work at their bank as some kind of mercenary, always ready to attack those with unpaid debts. he didn’t mind, he told you, as he loved the thrill of battles and that was an excuse to train to become stronger and stronger and achieved his dream of conquering the world and be an adventurer — but you could feel that something was wrong, but you couldn’t pinpoint what, and didn’t want to bring more sad memories of his to surface. ajax was glad you weren’t looking at his eyes, because he knew you would be able to see the guilty reflection of them, see the outline of the lies leaving his lips. but he needed you at his side, even though for a short amount of time. he was ready for the day when his lies would be discovered, his heart already healed of the heartbreaking he would go through when you started hating him.
it was what he deserved.
that night, too, he heard about how you gained your vision.
it hurt to see how open and sincere you were with him while he built lies above little truths, but his heart felt even more heavy knowing how much his peers affected your life. you told him how you left your home, worried about the lateness of your father and brother, only to find your father nowhere to be seen, while both of your brothers were fighting, ice against fire and your heart shattering for your family. you tried to scream and stop the fight, but nothing seemed to work — only when the wind in all mondstadt stopped and it seemed to be commanded by you. you only wanted to make them stop, but your wind was also what broke them apart and took kaeya away from home, and what took diluc on his mission to uncover his and yours father’s death.
it was a delusion what killed him, you told ajax, even though he knew everything about crepus ragnvindr’s death — he didn’t mean to pry in dottore’s papers, but what he could do when he saw your father’s name there? he still couldn’t understand why killing him was important, but his heart broke when he read number two’s reports. your name was there, signaling your relationship with the target and your new vision and, when your brother’s name became a discussed matter between his harbingers colleagues, he tried to stay away from it as much as he could.
you finished your story with your arms tightening around him, afraid that he could disappear just like your father once did — and he brought your face closer to his, kissing the tears away and whispering sweet words of comfort. it was all that he could do, already knowing that someday you would need such a comfort again but because of his actions. but he didn’t want you between another man’s arms. you were his and would always be, even if it was just an illusion, even if it was just the ghost of a memory like you always had been.
what would he do when you finally discovered the truth?
—
you almost did, once, and he was sure you knew by the second time.
the first time was when you and zhongli met.
childe wasn’t happy to take you to meet another man. not that he didn’t believe in your love for him, but he knew how beautiful and charming you were — and zhongli was handsome and charming too, and maybe he was insecure and afraid that, for some perverse reasons, you would see that the older man was a better match for you. he was so lost in his own thoughts and scenarios, that he never thought about warning zhongli to not say a word about his involvement with the fatui. however, they still need to meet, and ajax couldn’t leave you alone at his house.
he didn’t know when you were going to leave him, and he needed to make his time with you as best as possible.
but he couldn’t help and feel a sense of pride when strolling with you through liyue harbor’s streets, all the eyes, from the elderly to the youth, eyeing you two. of course, you made a beautiful couple — both you and ajax were young and strong, and in love. everyone could see the feeling intertwined with every single one of your actions. from the side eyes, to the touches and to the words, love surrounded you and childe like a shield.
however, he wasn’t sure if he liked the look on zhongli’s face.
he couldn’t decipher it and, while you introduced yourself to his acquaintance, he tried to not dwell much on it. “y/n ragnvindr, it’s a pleasure to meet you, mr. zhongli. childe speaks highly of you.” sometimes zhongli appeared in the anecdotes he told while your head was resting on his chest and his hands playing with your hair, just like the night you both shared your biggest secrets. he tried not to get into details that could speed up the inevitable end of your relationship, but the giggles and curious sounds that escaped your lips whenever he told you about his day always made him tell more than he was intended to.
“ragnvindr?” the curious tone on zhongli’s voice made your eyebrows raise and your head to tilt slightly to the side, which made childe’s chest to rumble with a chuckle. “you are, perhaps, the heiress of the dawn winery?”
you giggled, and ajax needed to fight the ugly green monster of jealousy. though, your giggles for him were more sweet and genuine, sounds that could rival columbina’s singing. “i’m, indeed! my older brother, diluc, is the current head of your family and i’m his heir.” you answered, exciting shining in your eyes. even though he was jealous, childe loved seeing you like that, too — talking and interacting with others. “have you ever drank dandelion wine, mr. zhongli?” it was a question you always asked when meeting new people, ajax came to learn. it was cute and endearing, how you cared that much for your family’s legacy.
he, on the other hand, couldn’t ask people if they ever had fished on ice.
“of course. i have some acquaintances back in mondstadt, lady ragnvindr.”
the chat progressed to your hometown, a place where young ajax always dreamed to conquer first, just to see you again. though, as much as zhongli was entertaining you, business were always business, and his attention slowly changed to childe — he tried to explain as much a he could the transactions without giving this true identity away, but zhongli almost spilled about his position as the eleventh harbinger.
“i hope your harbingers colleagues will find this business as formidable as i did, childe.”
he bid farewell to you two, and childe noticed that you were a bit more distant in the way back home, his eyes widening for a fraction of seconds when realization hit him of how you interpreted zhongli’s words.
“y/n, my beloved.” he made you both stop under the moonlight, placing your hand over his heart. “why aren’t you smiling at me? are you having doubts about my words because of what zhongli said?” you should. you really should have, because ajax was nothing but a liar. he watched as you averted your eyes to his chest, your cheeks rosy and lips forming a pout.
“no… i just… i would never forgive you if you lied to me, ajax.”
too bad, wasn’t it? your words resonated inside him while he kissed you and held you against his chest, soothing and reassuring words leaving his lips as if his heart wasn’t being eaten inside out by guilt.
—
the second time was even more dangerous.
it was on a warm night, when lumine and paimon were already back from their journey to search for the adepti to prove their innocence, now helping zhongli to the rite of parting. you tried to be of help, too, but both lumine and zhongli said they were fine without help, so your hopes of having a daily adventure were crushed by gentle hands. you resorted to your normal life in liyue, helping citizens and exploring nearby areas — sometimes, now, with paimon and the traveler as your companions — and then waited for ajax at home, wondering what he had planned for you two.
however, he was late. later than he ever was, the stars already in the sky and your heart hurting from worrying about him.
whenever he knew he was going to be late, he always sent a messenger to meet you, normally one of the kids playing near the sea, to inform you of what was happening in his job and what were his plans. but no child approached you during the day, and you now found yourself at the familiarity of his house, a place that you grew to be comfortable with, that now had the same sense of home the hard walls of dawn winery had. you were restless, of course, and when the moon started to shine on the bed you shared with your lover, you knew you had to do something.
your feet led you to the northland bank, yet your heart beat with both fear and excitement with the thought of entering a fatui lair.
it was a place you knew that you were never supposed to go in, but you remembered it. your father always climbed up the red stairs that led to the bank, even though, at the time, neither you nor your brothers knew what it was. your father only told you three he had business with the men inside the place, and never in your wildest dreams you would think it was a fatui bank — and you couldn’t understand why your father needed them. the winery and the tavern were enough to make your family rich, as you knew from helping diluc with some paperwork.
maybe it was power he wanted. you couldn’t blame your father for it, as a man without a vision in teyvat needed other ways to assert dominance over his peers, and maybe the fatui were the ones who could give him what he wanted. but the same power he wanted was the power that took his life, according to diluc’s and kaeya’s testimony. a device that pretended to be a vision was what your father used to kill a deadly monster to save your brother, even though diluc was one of the most skillful swordsmen you ever knew.
fathers would always be fathers, it seemed.
just like snezhnaya, the northland bank was cold, and you could feel it from the outside, even though liyue was hotter than mondstadt, a fact that you enjoyed pretty much. however, the goosebumps weren’t because of the chilly air — you were nervous. it was dead in the night and nobody was in the street, probably inside their homes enjoying a warm meal with their family. the fatui guard eyed you from head to toe and, even though your heart was imitating a drum’s beat from how quickly it beat, all the etiquette’s lessons you had in your childhood were playing their part. you knew how to hold your head high, high enough that no question was asked before the guard opened the door, just a nod that made your earring tingle in your ear.
maybe he recognized it. only one person in teyvat had the other pair.
you stood in the middle of the room, eyes scanning the architecture of it. you weren’t well versed in snezhnayan culture — maybe for the lack of it in the books of your home, due to the closeness of the region, or because your father was too afraid his children to know his obscure business — but the inside of the northland bank was mesmerizing. though you couldn’t appreciate much of it before someone was clearing their throat in front of you, a smile too sweet adorned a woman’s face. she wore a fatui uniform, her eyes hidden due to her mask, and you assumed her to be the bank’s receptionist.
“may i help you, ma’am?” you smiled back, all the years of etiquette lessons making you polite even to your enemies.
“yes, of course.” you answered in a neutral voice, your eyes fixed on her form — too fixed on her to notice another figure approaching you two. “i’m looking for childe. we live together, you see, and he hasn’t returned yet.” you didn’t try to say the word worried, but you were sure the receptionist understood your motives. the smile on her face became even sweeter, which made your gut to shrink.
“oh, master childe just returned from a mi—”
“is this tartaglia’s little pet?” if you found the receptionist's sweet smile to be unpleasant, just that feminine voice brought despair to your bones. the woman before you seemed to freeze to, and you turned your head siglithy to the side, being met by a vision of a fatui woman — and, by the way she walked and talked, and judging by the receptionist reaction, she was probably a harbinger, or someone with a high rank. you tried to smile at her, maintaining the façade of lady ragnvindr for a little while.
“i wouldn’t say pet, ma’am.” you tried to reason, turning your body towards her. “lover should be more appropriate for what we are.”
her eyes were as icy as her voice, and, if you were not mistaken, she had the same characteristics as the woman who attacked lumine and venti a while ago back in mondstadt — she was, indeed, a fatui. probably la signora, if you weren’t mistaken. however, you were there to retrieve childe to yours and his home, even though the name she called him brought more questions to your heart than it should have.
“a pet from mondstadt, on top of that.” you had to slightly lift your neck to be able to meet her eyes due to her new proximity, noticing that the receptionist was nowhere to be seen now, hopefully going to notice childe of your arrival. the smirk on her face was a bit frightening, blood-curdling even, but she was just a woman — like yourself. she could be more powerful than you were, of course, but you still had some chances with your vision and sword training from your youth. “tell me, how is that bard faring?” at the mention of venti, you gritted your teeth, hand ready to summon your polearm, wind tickling in your fingers, the power that celestia granted you burning through your veins. you didn’t understand what were the motives of the fatui to attack him, but he was special and a target for them. “don’t even try it, foolish girl. i wonder what he’ll do if i kill you, hm?”
before you could react, she had your jaw between her cold hands, pointy nails digging holes in the soft flesh of your cheeks, blade pressed to your neck and warm blood coming from a small scratch — only superficial, but a warning. however, as soon as she started to press her blade deep in your flesh, you heard his voice.
“let her go, signora.” ajax was there, bloodied and injured, the receptionist trailing behind him. she gave you a worried look while your lover walked to where you were, his voice imposing and commanding, a tone you never heard coming from his mouth before. it made you wonder if he was only just a civilian working in the bank, but you were fearing more for your life now than for the questions in your heart — though you hoped signora couldn’t see the fear you were feeling reflecting in your eyes, but instead the stupid bravery every ragnvindr possessed in their hearts.
she scoffed. “what are you going to do, childe?” even though she was complaining, she took the blade from your neck, her pure strength making you fall to the ground when she let you go from her hold — maybe it was the position you were always supposed to be in. you weren’t diluc and would never be. what was in your head to think you were able to go against a fatui harbinger?
you put a hand over your chest, feeling it rising and falling with your breaths, tears glossing your vision — you needed to calm yourself, because you were alive. ajax would never let anything happen to you, you knew that, of course you did. but what if he hadn’t arrived in time? you would die without the proper goodbyes to your family, without seeing him once more, just like your father.
too focused in trying to calm your erratic heart, you failed to notice the interaction between the two fatui in front of you.
signora had a hand on tartaglia’s shoulder, her lips a few inches away from his ear, as if she was telling a secret to your lover. but anybody in the room could hear her words. “end the ragnvindr pet, tartaglia. do with her what dottore did with her father, and what pierro should’ve ordered one of us to do with her brother.”
ajax didn’t even wait for her to end her words before he was rushing towards your form, his strong arms and warmth enveloping you, his hand bringing your head to rest on his chest. you were alive, alive and well, and he couldn’t ask for anything more. when he saw rosalyne with her blade on your neck he feared the worst, and he was ready to kill her if she did anything to you. “i’m going to kill her, i’m going to kill her for you, don’t worry. she’ll never touch you again.” he whispered in your hair, his lips pressing kisses and murmuring words of comfort until you stopped shaking between his arms.
you took one of his hands to rest on your chest and he felt tears glossing his vision when he felt your heartbeat between his fingertips, your forehead now resting against his and your warm breath tickling his cheeks. “i’m alright, ajax. i’m alright.”
you both knew it was a lie.
—
you didn’t remember how you arrived at home.
you were doing everything on automatic, allowing him to guide through the harbor’s streets, his big coat over your shoulders to hide your injury, the now cold air of the lowest hours of the night still making your nose and cheeks cold. you couldn’t think of anything else but what happened, of how foolish you were — maybe diluc was right. maybe you weren’t supposed to ever leave dawn winery, the world outside of it too dangerous for you to survive alone. but you weren’t alone and, for the second time, ajax was the one who saved you.
when your consciousness returned to you, you were sitting at your and his bed, ajax towering over you with a wet cloth cleaning your neck. signora hadn’t injured you that badly, just a superficial cut on your skin, the bleeding had already stopped, but it had stained your skin and ajax couldn’t support seeing you like that. you were hurt because of him, because he didn’t remember to fetch some of the kids to send you a small note, or even go himself to where you were to tell you he was going to arrive late. his own injuries were now numb, and he couldn’t care about his wellbeing.
as soon as he was finished, he sat at your side, his hand enveloping your own, his thumb feeling your pulse — an indication that you were alive. “i’m sorry.” you blurted out, voice small as if you were a little child again, asking forgiveness for your father after you had cut diluc’s hair with a pair of scissors after he had screamed at you.
“you’re alive, my beloved, and that’s what matters to me.” he kissed your knuckles, the words tickling your skin as if they were small needles made especially to hurt you. you knew, now, that ajax was part of the fatui and a harbinger, too. but it was an elephant in the room that you didn’t want to talk about, that loomed over the two of you, doomed to end the beautiful relationship you two had.
but not now.
you started to unbutton his shirt, frowning at the winces leaving his lips due to the pain of his own cuts and hematomas. how could you have been so blind? all the scars he wore like a champion, all the training he did, all the prestige he had at the bank — it was obvious that your ajax wasn’t just a civilian who hunted down debtors, and you should’ve known that. but love was blind, and you were sure the love archon especially blinded your eyes to all the signs of his lies and the non liveliness of his blue orbs.
after all, he was one of her most loyal subjects.
you took the damp cloth from where he left it and started to clean his skin, fingers tracing amorously the white lines over his pale skin, feeling the skin tighten with the soft ministrations of your fingertips, kissing the freckles of his shoulders. his back was now facing you, his chest already cleaned of any dry blood, but a new scar adorned his back — big and now as the same color of the wine produced in your family’s winery, another scar to his collection. “i’m going to kill whoever did this to you.” you murmured against the skin of his neck, your hands around his shoulders and face hide on the crook of his neck. his whole body vibrated with a chuckle, a sound that was both mocking you and encouraging you.
how could you kill something that managed to hurt a harbinger when you couldn’t even defeat one?
and you didn’t even know who you would kill. the one who gave him the new scar or the one who made his eyes so lifeless, so different from the ones you remembered from your childhood?
you kissed his neck before getting up to get bandages to his injuries, watching his face. would that be the last time you ever saw him, now that you knew the truth? not everything he was hiding from you, but the most crucial parts. would tartaglia let you live now, or would you meet your end in the hands of the one you loved the most? you were sure you were now an enemy of the fatui, just like your brother was — however, would any connection your father once had with them be able to save you of whatever insult you committed against signora?
the questions in your mind made your hand work slower, but ajax couldn’t care. he knew the time with you was now limited, and he would make sure that you left liyue as soon as you could — he couldn’t bear the idea of you dying by his sword, or any sword, and, if saving you meant becoming an enemy of one of his colleagues, he would gladly accepted what fate had estoraged for him. you finished tending to his wounds and he sighed, his strong arms bring you closer to his chest. you nuzzled at his bare skin like a kitten, and he tightened his hold around you, afraid that you could disappear in the air just with the first sound of his voice.
but he needed to try.
“i love you.” he felt like the same ajax he was before he fell into the abyss, the same ajax his father was afraid was too weak for the world outside the family’s cottage. his voice was small and quiet, so unlike him but, at the same time, so endearing too. he waited for your protests, harsh words and screams — but all he received was kisses and tender words, and he couldn’t believe how unfair he was to you. he should’ve told you the truth as soon as you told him about your father, but the fear of losing you clouded his better judgment and mind. now, he would lose the best part of himself by his own fault.
“i love you, too.” you whispered against his lips, your hands holding his face while his were placed on your waist, both of your bodies so close to each other as if you were just one.
that night, you never felt ajax so desperate.
he had always been feverish for your touch and your body, ever since you gave yourself fully to him. he always enjoyed having his face buried between your thighs or between your breasts, especially when he seemed to have a hard day at work — before, you thought he had to collect the debts from either dangerous or vulnerable people, but know you knew it was the work of a harbinger the culprit of his feelings. or was the guilt consuming him? you didn’t care then and you couldn’t even care now, not when he drew moan after moan from you, when he made you feel so full of his seed that you never wanted to be separated from him ever again.
that night, too, he held you tighter than usual, afraid that you would leave him in the middle of the night. his kiss, something you were so used to before bed, now was suffocating, as if you were under a column of hydro vision, just like his own.
even though you wanted nothing more than to return to your home in the winery, the air inside his house was too suffocating because it smelled like him, you couldn’t. your love for him was what kept you caged between his arms, like the deadliest curse the tsaritsa herself picked especially for you.
—
ajax drowned himself in his work, and you couldn’t blame him.
he was too kind to ask you to go away, you thought. or he loved you too much, or he enjoyed the way you still spoiled him. he always had a package of lunch waiting for him when he left before the sun rose, and he had a plate of dinner waiting for him whenever he arrived when the moon was high in the sky. sometimes, you would wake up to ajax fingers caressing your skin, his arms loose around your form. you would always scoot closer to him, trying to enjoy the warmth you were being denied by the circumstances of your situation on a daily basis.
you wrote to diluc, once, telling him about your journeys and the fact that you would return home sooner than expected. you said nothing about what happened, because it was clear that your brother would know something happened as soon as he looked in your eyes when you returned.
your only solace was your newfound friendship with zhongli, and lumine’s and paimon’s presence during the day.
they all knew something had happened you and childe, denounced by paimon’s question as soon as you appeared in front of them without the familiar glint of happiness your eyes had and the smile adorning your lips — but zhongli, being the gentleman you discovered him to be, changed the subject as soon as your eyes started to shine with tears. he knew, of course he knew. even the traveler and her flying companion knew about childe’s involvement with the fatui, and you wondered how blind you were.
but zhongli always managed to take your mind out of it whenever you started to dwell in your thoughts, always asking about mondstadt — you came to know, in one of your strolls in the harbor with him, that he and a well-known bard in your brother’s tavern were acquaintances, and he managed to coax a laugh out of your lips in the expanse of venti, the sound now strange and bitter in your mouth.
however, not even the bit of normalcy and happiness that zhongli gave you was enough to keep you glued to liyue, and you wished to leave it as soon as possible. lumine and paimon were aware of your decision and, even though they were sad to see you go and the thought of traveling the continent together was crushed, they still understood.
“paimon will make him feel the wrath… the wrath of the paimon, y/n! don’t worry!” it was the last words you heard from her, lumine at her side with a sorrowful expression on her face — though her eyes were understanding. you were sure you would meet them again, or even send letters whenever you could. they were your friends, after all.
but it seemed that fate wanted to play with you, as the day you chose to return home was the day an ancient god was unleashed over the harbor.
you sighed, watching the once clear skies now a dark shade of gray, the faint sound of crashing waves now much closer than normal — childe’s house was closer to the bank, in the more lively part of the city — but that wouldn’t stop you. you needed to leave before ajax arrived and saw your leaving form, a letter being what would explain to him what was in your mind. you knew that, at the first pleading that could leave his mouth, your resolve would break and you would stay.
and you couldn’t.
you looked back once more, watching the door of the house that you called home for almost two months. it was strange, how quickly things could change, and how much something could affect you. the fact that ajax was a fatui, let alone a harbinger, wasn’t even a problem anymore — by the calculations you did in your head, he wasn’t in the organization when your father was killed by them, and, if he was, he didn’t have anything to do with it — but the lie was. you kind understood where he was coming from, but what else he was hiding from you? what else would he hide from you if you decided to forgive him?
you needed some time to think, and that time won’t be fruitful if you were in his presence.
a small smile formed in your lips and you turned around once more, eyes down and itching with tears glossing your vision. the pain in your chest was worse than any other heartbreak you ever experienced in your life — death was always sad, yes, especially unexpected ones, but it was easier to come to terms with such a situation than the one you were going through now. grieving a dead loved one was far easier than mourning one that was well and alive, with their heart beating and chest rising and failing with each breath they took.
ajax would always be a part of you, but now, perhaps, a part of you that would never be yours again.
“y/n? where… where are you going?”
you closed your eyes, fighting the urge to look back at him. if you did, you knew you would run straight to his arms.
“home.” that was what you could muster to answer him. “i left a letter for you explaining my—”
“your home is here.” he cut you, a coldness in his voice that you were sure could rival the snowstorms of his homeland. “your home is here, with me.” it was, once. but now you weren’t so sure if it had been, or if it would be again.
“my brothers need me.” you need them, too. you needed to feel the safety and the comfort the company of kaeya and diluc brought you, the warmth of diluc’s arms holding you safely between them and the easy laughter that kaeya always managed to coax from you since your father welcomed him in the family. you needed to be in a place where you knew who the people walking besides you were, and not to think everyone was an enemy.
“and what about me, y/n?”
nothing could ever prepare you for the hurt that laced his voice, though it felt more like a whip in your bare flesh, wounding it to the point of no return. you took a deep breath, turning your body to look at him — he deserved a proper goodbye. his eyes looked even more lifeless now, the small glint of shine it used to have on it whenever you were around was long gone now. “ajax…” you didn’t know what to say, only wanting to leave liyue harbor as soon as you could.
but, taking another glance at his appearance, you couldn’t help but worry about him. it seemed that he was freshly out of a battle — though you didn’t have a good feeling about who he was fighting — and you suspect he wanted to arrive home and find your waiting arms to soothe him. “don’t go. don’t leave me, please.” he wasn’t one to beg, but he didn’t know what to do to keep you at his side anymore. childe took an hesitant step towards you, heart clenching when he watched you taking another one back.
that wouldn’t end well. the remnants of the foul legacy were still running through his blood, making him angry at you for reacting that way. ajax was protecting you from your own foolishness — as soon as rosalyne knew you were not within his protection anymore, she’d lay her claws over you and take your life. and he couldn’t lose you, he couldn’t. why weren't you seeing that? why you wanted to leave him, like you did all these years ago, running straight to your father’s arms without looking back at him?
was he not enough for you? would he ever be enough for you?
before he could think better, his dual blades were already being summoned, the scared look on your face only fueling his anger. it was an ugly feeling, boiling and burning inside his chest. however, on the outside, all you could see was your beloved ajax with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, his brows furrowed and his blades on his hands.
you weren’t a fool. you had angered him, and even though fighting with him was a foolish decision — he was a harbinger of the tsaritsa, after all — you wouldn’t be able to escape such a fate. dropping your bags to the ground and deep a deep breath, you soon felt the weight of your polearm in your hand, the weapon that diluc gifted you after you received your vision and physical training was required. jean was the one who trained you all those years ago, and you couldn’t be more grateful for her now.
“i love you.” you whispered before indulging in his desires, anemo and hydro vision shining on your bodies.
“i love you, too.”
—
the sound of polearm against sword wasn’t a strange thing for you, but anybody could see how less experienced than your opponent was. childe was used to dueling with his enemies more than you, a girl who was sheltered her whole life by both father and brother, who only received training because of a vision earned when she saw herself faced with more despair than she ever felt. his experience was shown in the way he moved gracefully, how his swords seemed to be at home between his fingers — unlike your polearm, that still felt strange whenever you wield it.
you tried not to think too much, focusing on the teachings jean passed down to you.
keep your head clear, just trust your body and everything will be fine.
however, those words weren’t helping you. you couldn’t help and not feel the gut-wrenching feeling of sadness that had installed in your chest when you noticed he would never let you go alive, your thoughts clouding your best judgment. you couldn’t hurt him, the idea of being the one to give him another scar to his collection making you sick — though, it didn’t seem like ajax shared your thoughts. you already had a cut on your cheek that you knew it would scar, and more wounds all over your body that you were sure none of your brothers ever had received being knights. him, on the other hand, just had a bit of blood coming down from the side of his face, and you didn’t know if it was the consequences of his other battle or caused by you.
you cried when you felt one of his swords cutting your flesh, anemo elemental energy throwing him away from you. “ajax, please, stop.” you tried to plead, hand traveling down to press on your thigh to try to apply pressure to your new wound.
but the adrenaline of the battle was still running on his blood, and his hand was in your neck in no time, pushing your body until it hit the nearest wall, your feet some centimeters away from the ground.
you start to trash around in his touch, hands unsuccessfully trying to get yourself free from his hold. was he really going to choke you until death? you couldn’t understand what prompted him to hate you that much — was that all a plan to attack your brother, due to his status as an enemy of the fatui. did he really love you? or did the fatui explored his connection with you in the past to bring their vengeance to life?
however, the sadness shining in his eyes told you otherwise.
“please.” you tried to say with the last breath that you had, black points already appearing in your vision and his face blurred by the tears in your eyes.
you could see the outline of a sad smile on his lips. “i’m sorry, my beloved.” you felt a pair of lips on your forehead, the hand that wasn’t on your neck caressing your now scarred cheek. “i will always love you.” you couldn’t see the tears dripping down his lifeless eyes, a feeling that ajax hadn’t felt in years. when it was the last time he cried? when he thought he was going to die when he fell down in the abyss? he couldn’t remember.
now, however, seeing the life leaving your body was enough to make his frozen heart to melt and break. rosalyne’s words resonated in his head — it was better to die by his hands, a slow and painless death, than to hers. tartaglia knew she would let all of her rage fall upon you, and he couldn’t bear to see what was going to happen if you became her victim.
“what is happening here, childe?”
a deep voice startled him, his hand leaving your neck to welcome one his swords again. you body fell limp to the ground, though ajax still could see a faint rise and fall of your chest. you were still alive — your body wouldn’t be another one on his count.
when he turned around to meet the owner of the familiar voice, ajax was met with zhongli’s startled face, his eyes widened, rage dancing on them like a foreign dancer presenting their talents, and brows furrowed. and it seemed like his senses came back to him, no trace of foul legacy inside him anymore, and he noticed what he had done. his tears were now falling freely from his eyes, his heart break and twisting and making breathing more difficult.
he was sure the archons sent zhongli to meet you both. because now you could live.
he took your body between his arms, trying to enjoy the last time he would hold you as close as that, walking towards the older man. “take her, please. i beg you, zhongli, take her and send her back to her mondstadt.” he pleaded, holding your body close to his chest. “i’ve committed the highest sin, and i can’t let the destiny that was bestowed upon her become a reality.”
it seemed as if zhongli understood what he was saying, though not entirely if his slightly furrowed brows had something to say, his arms ready to welcome you. ajax, albeit reluctantly, passed your body to zhongli’s waiting arms, your blood now a dark spot on his shirt and jacket, staining his hands and fingers — he always had enjoyed the sight of blood adorning his skin, especially those from his enemies, but your blood was like a venom corroding his skin until it was only bones. the smell was nauseating, and he felt like throwing up. “please, go. you will understand when the time comes, zhongli.” he couldn’t bear to see the state that he, himself, had put you in. hadn’t he promised to protect you until the end of time? that was his protection?
the other man only nodded, in a loss of words, walking away from childe, hurriedly, with your body between his arms. he knew childe could be quite bloodthirsty and feral, but never with you. his dead eyes even gained a spark whenever he was around you, and the smiles that adorned his face in your presence were the most real ones zhongli ever saw on the younger man's face. in all his almost four thousand years, morax had never witnessed a lover almost killing another — though he suspected childe’s work as a fatui had something to do with his sudden change in behavior.
you only started to give signs of being awake a few meters away from the harbinger’s house, though you didn’t try to trash around or get away from his hold. you seemed defeated, as if you had already accepted death. “... where…?” your voice was hoarse, probably from the choking childe had put you on, the mark of his hands still visible on your skin.
“it’s zhongli, my dear. i will take you to a safe place. you are safe now.”
—
it took you some hours to regain consciousness again, your mind a mix between remembering what happened and dreaming that your lover was still with you, holding your body close to his and whispering loving words in your ear.
however, when you finally broke free from the state you were in, the unfamiliar mattress under you and the coldness of the blankets over your body were a cruel reminder that your dreams were only that — feverish dreams of a time that you weren’t sure were true from ajax’s side. because your feelings for him were, the most truthful sentiments you ever felt in your entire life, and now they were providing you the most sorrowful emotions a human being could feel. your heart wasn’t broken, as it was crushed. crushed to the point that it was just dust now, and even if you wished you could mend it, you knew you wouldn’t be able to.
“here, have some tea.” zhongli’s voice took you from your thoughts, and you only nodded, not knowing if he had said anything before it. “are you feeling better? i am not the best healer, as you can see. i am afraid some of your injuries might form a scar.”
“it’s alright” you answered, not sure about what to say. you could feel the bandages all over your body, the pain all over it, but you tried to drink the tea, nonetheless. zhongli was being kind enough to take care of you, and you would never make little of his efforts. “a scar is the sign that i fought back.” you remembered your father once telling diluc that, on his first years of sword training — but it was a completely different circumstance, and you weren’t sure he would approve of his only daughter now having an imperfection on her face.
“i am sure it will not affect your beauty.” those words managed to bring a faint smile to your face, though not as bright and big as it used to be. zhongli missed the sight of your smiles, but he was happy he was able to bring the ghost of it to your face once more. he was well versed in the ways of having a broken heart, and a true smile would take some time to adorn your lips again.
he watched as you drank the tea, taking the cup from your hands gently, while you adjusted yourself once more on his bed. he was already in contact with lumine, who was probably in contact with your brother, to find a way to bring you back to your hometown safely and quickly. zhongli was intrigued by childe’s last words — what sin had the younger man committed, and what fate was bestowed upon you? the archon couldn’t think about anything that could make the harbinger to try to kill you, but your fate seemed to be worse than death on childe’s eyes.
he thought his last contract was with the tsaritsa, but it seemed that one of her followers managed to steal such a place in the god of contract’s existence.
“zhongli?”
your voice was small, as if it was the song of a caged bird. he turned his golden eyes to your form, impressed by how young you truly were — in many nights he was kept awake, eyes facing the same ceiling you were now, thinking about how much you remind him of her. of how your smile was the same as hers, how the wind in your hair made the same movement it used to do with hers. but you were young, and you didn’t have the same wisdom and knowledge as her, but you had enchanted him the same way.
he wasn’t sure if reincarnations really existed, but, if it did, you and guizhong shared the same soul.
“yes, my dear?” he tried not to touch your face like he used to do with her, but he got up from the chair he was in and sat on the end, his hands a few inches away from your resting body.
“have you ever had your heart broken?” zhongli understood why you were asking that. you were away from your family, away from your friends in a foreign nation, and you needed guidance. and he was beyond happiness to be the one to help you — if he could, he’d share with himself the pain you were feeling so you could feel better.
you watched as he nodded. “i did, once.”
“and how did you heal from it?” it was a personal question and you knew it, but you didn’t know who to ask. diluc and kaeya never had a great love that ended in sour feelings as far as you knew, so they weren’t options. maybe lisa? you didn’t know much about her past as a student in sumeru, but you would be too ashamed to ask her something like that.
zhongli stayed silent for a while, and you almost lost hope that he would answer you, before he started. “i do not think i ever healed from that. but time proved to be an efficient helper.” though the curiosity to know what happened with him numbed your pain a bit, you wouldn’t be able to ask. it must have been something really horrible if he still wasn’t able to get over it. “and my friends and family, too. the key is to not be alone at those times when you can’t think about anything else but them.” but her, he wanted to say, her that is so much like you that it pains my heart to see you suffering like that. “love can only be cured with love, y/n.”
you nodded, pinky finger intertwining with zhongli’s one, as a way to comfort him for the pain you made he remember. he chuckled, and it seemed like the sound reverberated through the whole earth, a sound that could make mountains turn to dust and flowers to grow.
but home was calling you, and you couldn’t ignore the song of freedom calling you back, nor the wind almost dragging you back to a place you knew nobody could ever hurt you.

sundress szn pt. 2
pt. 2 ft. scaramouche, sandrone, pantalone, and childe
Summer’s finally come, so you decide to wear something that fit the occasion- much to your lover’s excitement.
tags: nsfw under cut, public/semi public sex in almost all of these, I got carried away during pantalone’s, harbingers x afab! Reader (minus signora this time bc I genuinely cannot think of smth for her rn but I can promise in the future that she may be in one of these.), slight ooc maybe? mdni.
word count: ~2.2k, I wrote these half asleep on a nine hour flight these are not going to be proofread
Scaramouche
This was a good idea. Totally. Sumeru’s just much, much more humid than Snezhnaya, which was something you were willing to get used to. You were absolutely fine.
How you wished you were right.
Even in the shade of the Grand Bazaar you could still feel the light sheen of sweat begin to form on your skin as you hastily fan yourself, occasionally observing your surroundings for your boyfriend. As a newly-inducted Vahumana student, he was bound to get busy, so it left you with a lot of time on your hands. Too much time. But hey, it got you a new dress so who are you to complain?
It reminded you of when you were both in the Fatui, the Harbinger and his loyal partner, who were too busy to really see each other until he whisked you away to Sumeru. You assumed it would be different this time, but it had dawned on you recently that it would take quite a while to get there (not that it wasn’t deserved, he had a lot to atone for after all.)
But it still disheartened you. You would be lying if you said that it didn’t. You missed his hugs and his presence, no matter how much you annoyed each other you always seemed to find a way to touch each other. And on nights he would be up in the Akademiya studying, leaving you alone in your shared bed, your thoughts wandered to those scarce intimate moments you shared- nights where his chest was pressed against yours, with that stupid smirk on his face as he fucked you silly. Just thinking about those nights made a familiar heat rise in between your legs, making you curse as your cheeks reddened.
Archons, first the heat, and now this? Scaramouche had better hurry, you felt like you were going to be torched alive at this rate.
Thankfully, you did not need to wait long. Looking into the crowd again, your eyes met with a familiar pair of tired purple ones, much to your delight. You hopped off the bench you sat on and beelined your way to the grouchy purple boy, a smile blossoming on your face as you get closer to him. He doesn’t return the same excitement, content to just catch you in his arms like he always does. You don’t seem to mind, though, as you were too preoccupied with burying your face into his chest.
“Scara…” You whined, pouting your lips. “What took you so long? Do you know how hot it is in here? I almost died.” Expecting a smart retort from him, you were thoroughly surprised at the next words that came out of his mouth.
“What on earth are you wearing?”
There was no malice and spite in his voice, just irritated confusion. Which, in turn, confused you, prompting you to release your position against his chest and stare at him with an eyebrow raised.
“Do you not like it? I got it a while ago.” You hesitantly let go of his embrace, spinning once to let him see the whole dress. It was perfect for a hot day- light and airy, revealing as much skin as possible without spilling everything out. When you turned back to him, his face had gotten redder, but his eyes stayed on you- more specifically, your figure.
“Aw, what’s got you blushing, Scara?” Your teasing tone was met with a glare, and a pathetic attempt to hide his face by looking away.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“So you don’t like my dress?”
“That’s not the problem.” Suddenly, he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him again, lowering his head so he could murmur into your ear, “I like it too much. Fix it. Now.”
With that, he dragged you to the nearest concealed spot- behind some crates that barely covered the both of you. When you emerged, all that was left of your dress was the tattered skirt that barely hung on to your body as Scaramouche placed his jacket over your top, that same stupid, hot smirk on his face.
Sandrone
Sandrone tried. Really, she did. But she could not help it in the slightest.
The seventh harbinger has a reputation for being a recluse, cooping herself up in her lab toying with her automatons all day. On the rare occasion she did speak to someone, her tone only seemed to indicate annoyance and malice- she didn’t mind since it drove people away. However, things changed the day you were assigned to work under her; suddenly, she didn’t hate the world that much anymore.
Certainly not when you’re dressed like this.
A quick trip to the ruins of Liyue, both as a break and to gather intel, made you a bit… adventurous, with your outfits to say the least. The entire time you had walked around Qiongji Estuary, Sandrone could not help but linger her stare just a little bit longer than usual. Your outfit consisted of a short dress, loosely clinging around your body, but it made you look so alluring in her eyes. A perpetual blush seemed to occupy her face, which you had innocently chalked up to the heat.
As her automatons roam around in search for whatever she had told them to find, Sandrone busied herself under a makeshift tent inspecting what seemed to be an artifact encased in cor lapis, tinkering with the ore as if it were a toy. You were by her side, head on her shoulder, observing your lover with loving eyes. Your subtle touches combined with your warm breathing had already put her on edge, but she continued nonetheless.
However, the last straw came when you stood up a little to grab something on the other side of Sandrone, aptly placing your bosom right in front of her face. So, forgive her for breaking her composure and pulling you back onto the ground, dirtying your dress as she straddles you eagerly while crashing her lips into your own before you could react.
“You’re so fond of distractions…” She said breathlessly, hands all but dying to get your tits out of your dress for her nimble fingers to play with. You moaned in response, a bit taken aback at her suddeness. Looking up at your blushing, desperate girlfriend, you decided to tease her just a little bit.
“I was just trying to help, Sandrone.” Your tone feigned innocence, which only fueled her frustration. She caught your lips with fervor as one hand pinched your nipple, and the other tugged on your hair, all while grinding down on you.
“Shut up and fuck me, please.”
Pantalone
Pantalone was a man of many talents. One of those talents happens to be spoiling you rotten. Too rotten sometimes. But who were you to complain? The richest man in Teyvat was wrapped around your finger, and you couldn’t help but be a little cheeky and take advantage of that sometimes.
What should’ve been a business trip to Liyue to check the Northland Bank’s activities turned into Pantalone emptying out every boutique in the harbor so you can get a new wardrobe for summer. At one particular store, where there were no other customers besides you and your husband, you had decided to try on some dresses that caught your attention. On one hand, you really did want a few more relaxed additions, but on the other hand, well…
You had emerged from your dressing room not long ago, and yet you were already sat firmly on top of your husband, head in his neck as you try to brace yourself against the waiting room’s couch. Under you, Pantalone only gave you his usual, sly grin as his hands firmly hold you in his lap, keeping you in place as you grind on his ever-growing erection.
“I think this dress looks lovely on you dear.” He whispered, taking in the sight of you writhing on top of him desperately. Chuckling, his hand makes it way all the way to your ass, hiking up the long dress before giving it a smack. You moaned in response, hiding your face in his neck, hands raking over his toned chest.
“You simply look ravishing in it.” He continued his assault on your body, propping you up just a little bit so he had a clear view of your chest, kissing you quickly before delving in between your tits. Archons, he was impatient- he made you impatient. You confess, you did think the dress would get a rise out of him, which was why you picked it first when trying clothes on, but to think he would be this roused by it filled you with a titulating thrill only he was capable of causing.
“Ah- Does the dress make you- ngh… this excited, love?” Despite your teasing words, it was clear that you weren’t the one in control as you rocked your hips to feel even a little bit of relief from the growing ache in between your legs. Pantalone didn’t say anything back, rather he took off his gloves and positioned his fingers over your mouth, commanding you in a husky tone.
“Open up and suck them, darling. I’ll have plenty more for you.”
Childe
“Fuck you mean no?”
“You just aren’t going out like that.” Childe deadpanned, crossing his arms. “It’s a pretty dress for sure though.” The contrasting grin on his freckled face made you want to punch him, though it also illicited some questionable butterflies in your stomach.
Nobody quite knew what you and Childe were. On the surface level, one could assume that you two were just close friends; however, if they took the time to observe how Childe’s touch always lingered for a little too long, or how you stared at him with such bold adoration in your eyes as you smiled at him- it would be quite obvious that there were unspoken feelings for each other somewhere there.
It was quite common for you to visit his office in the Northland Bank like today. You really just wanted to show him the new dress you made for yourself, and figured you could flirt with him a little bit- not that he’d catch the hint. He always did treat you just like a good friend, something that disappointed you a little bit.
Because as it stands, right now, with him towering over you with his arms crossed, a grin on his handsome face- somehow, you’re horny because of this smug bastard. You imagine how good it would be to just smash your lips on his just to shut him up because Archons, is it tempting.
“I’d like to show off what I’ve made for myself,” you huffed at him, pouting. “I’ll go ahead and stroll the streets as I please with or without you then.” You try to turn and leave, expecting him to just laugh and go back to work. However before you could even step towards the door’s direction Childe’s strong hands snaked around your waist, pulling you firmly back.
Without much warning, you fell back into his chest letting out a small yelp. Once you realize the position you were in, you froze- your cheeks heating up an unbearable amount as you try to wriggle away from the (much) stronger man. It only became worse when he placed his lips right on top of your ear, chuckling lowly.
“C’mon… I can’t have all of Liyue see my girl this good.” He remarked lowly, trailing his lips down until they settled on the base of your neck, to which he then placed a gentle kiss. “They might be tempted to steal you away from me, and we can’t have that, can we?.” You’d be lying if you said that didn’t turn you on so fucking much, trying your best to hide it by pulling your legs closer together.
“We aren’t dating though? What do you mean-“ You let out a moan as he started sucking at the same spot, his lips forming a smile as they worked. Your hands flew to his arm on your waist, turning yourself around to meet his gaze. He lifted his head, lips puffy and blue eyes glazed over with lust.
“Everyone in Liyue knows that we want each other. Why not give in?” He pressed his forehead against yours, lips deliciously close to yours as he placed his hands on your waist.
“Only if you want to.” Was your sheepish reply, slightly embarassed to be this close to the man you’ve been covering for months. Was it really this easy? Is it just another one of his pranks? You weren’t sure, but at this point you didn’t care much, especially after he launched his lips straight at you in a fervent kiss. His hands lifted you up, haphazardly swiping away everything on his desk and placing you on it while your fingers tangled in his hair.
Both of you fumble with each other’s clothes, but Childe took extra care in taking the sight of your dress halfway off your body, admiring the view. He suddenly brings his hand up to your chest, flicking your nipple. You moan in both surprise and pleasure, burying your face into his bare shoulder.
“Be as loud as you want girlie. I want everyone here to know who’s finally got you.”

Too Scared to Let Go(To Lose You)
Characters; Lynette, Navia, Xiao, Scaramouche, Lyney, Kaeya, La Signora x gn Reader
Summary; they wont let go of you, no matter what. They can't protect you from harm when they aren't there, so they hold you close to ensure you're there. they've already lost so much.
Warnings; angst, maybe a little bit yandere,
Notes; i did the obvious like xiao, scara, signora and stuff but if i make a part two ill maybe put someone like barbara or nilou in, but that would just be them having intrusive thoughts... probably. will add diluc and venti there as well dont worry, love you
Lynette
She always thinks that you're going to die at some point, get kidnapped or just straight up leave, these thoughts come up once every week or so. But when your out and about or just working late, her thoughts run faster than ever. Of course she has lyney and the rest of the house, but she's just gotten so used to being with both lyney and you now that it doesnt quite feel the same. So her solution is often to hug you as tight as she can when sleeping, hoping you wont disappear in the morning.
And of course you try and help her as much as you possibly can, reassuring her that you wont leave and that youll find a way to get back to her no matter what happens when out and about, but that sometimes just doesnt cut it.
She doesnt cry often, but when she does its a lot, tears streaming down her face for an hour or two, and even longer if you, Lyney and Freminet aren't there with her.
Navia
She cant let go of you in the morning, it was always like that, but it had gotten so much worse after the loss of her two beloved bodyguards. She often mumbles in her sleep about you and how she wants you to stay. Something along the lines of:
“no… no, don’t go, stay… please!! Just stay with me!”
“please stay… stay with me… where did you go… no, come back, please…”’
“[name]… please stay with me… please… just stay…”
You have to wake her up when it seems like she’s panicking and try your best to comfort her, but sometimes she just doesn’t get any sleep because she wants to make sure you don’t disappear while she is asleep. She is of course the same shining Navia when around other people like the Traveler and Paimon, but everyone can see that she doesn’t want to let go of you at all, fearing you’ll vanish if you leave her line of sight for even just a second, its like you’re glued to her.
If people ever see you, they know for a fact that Navia is also there, no matter what. Oh, you want to go over and wish your friend a happy birthday, well she can carry a gift for them with her so you don’t have to. You wanted to cook something but is missing one singular ingredient, you can you go get it together, don’t worry she isn’t putting back anything for it (she totally is, and has multiple offers and such she should be taking a look at rn).
Xiao
He says he shouldn’t be near you all the time, but doesn’t let go when you make him give in to his desires. He’ll hurt you, and you know that, so why are you still here with him. Wait, no, he isn’t trying to make you go away, please don’t, ever. He just cares about you enough to not want you getting hurt because of his karmic debt, he loves you too much to let that happen. But the thought of you leaving him fills his mind more than the karmic debt at times, he dreads it, the fact that you’ll leave eventually, he doesn’t care if its by choice or fate, just don’t. please, please, please don’t leave, just stay with him, please.
He doesn’t want to let go, but feels he needs to, you tell him its fine yet he feels like it isn’t. it feels like he’s hurting you every second of being with you, yet he doesn’t try to let go, he doesn’t even give the thought a chance. you say you’re fine, yet he feels like you’re not. He
feels like hes hurting you, he’s hurting more because of it. But then why does it hurt more without you, why, oh why. What have you done to him, just what did you do that made him so addicted to you. Swear you’ll never leave him ever, and he will do the same, as long as you’re here with him he swears he wont hurt you, he’ll break the karma in half for you, he’ll do anything. Just don’t leave him, please don’t.
Scaramouche
Everyone would say he’s too cocky, confident, and mean. But that’s all because he doesn’t let them see the vulnerable side of him, the leftovers of Kunikusuhi, the side he only shows to you. He shows you they way he cries at the mere thought you could leave him one day, he sobs in your chest as you comfort him and let him focus and anything but the nightmares haunting his being. He wont ever be like that with anyone that isn’t you, he doesn’t give a shit about them they can do whatever, but you have to stay.
He doesn’t care about all the others as long as you don’t leave him too, he doesn’t care about anything other than you. So please, please don’t leave him, ever, he would watch the world burn over and over again as long as he has you.
If you ever told anyone that the 6th harbinger, scaramouche, cries at night just because you left to go get a glass of water, they would call you crazy, say he’s never cried in his life that you must have seen things. But you know its true, and he does too, even if he doesn’t like to admit it. He knows you wont go, you always say you wont, but he just cant let himself to believe you, not when he’s been lied to so many times. He worries too much about you and he knows that, but how could he not, he loves you, and will never let you leave him because you love him too, right?
Lyney
Although he may be the confident, charming and romantic magician Lyney everyday in public, when he finally lets go of the role at home he’s nowhere near that. He cries just because he wanted to see you and he finally did, he worries about not being able to save you someday. He’s a worrywart to say the least
If you were gone for too long, whether on a mission from father or anything else really, he would not be calm at all until you come back. he would only be rather calm after he got a letter from you or in one of his shows where he put too many layers of masks on to hide it. he wants to think that your ok, just as Lynette say you are, you're strong. but he still cant help but worry, and he ends up panicked and stressed, without sleep, too tired to think sbout anything else other than you. dont leave him, he wouldnt survive without you.
That's why you cant leave him. hell lose his mind, and destroy everything around him in the process. he cant let you leave, so please, please don't. his heart is already fragile, it beats only for you now, so don't leave. don't leave. don't... please... please don't, he cant handle that. so, please, don't leave him, ever. stay right here with him, forever.
Kaeya
He doesnt remember his birth parents, he hates them but a little bit, but mostly because they left him, he cant handle thinking about them. and it only made his pain worse when he lost the people he called his family once again, so he cant afford to lose anything else, not when he feels completely at home once again. you are his home now, his family, and his joy. so don't leave or he might lose his mind and start ruining himself from the inside and out.
He loves you, a lot, you're his reason to continue in life. so if he ever sees you leave he would cry, even if all you are doing is leaving his office after giving him his lunch, he would shed a tear at the sight. his heart is fragile ok? He can't bear to lose his life once again, not after his parents left, not after his adoptive family left too.
Don't go, stay, stay right here with him and everything will be fine. i will all be fine, you trust him after all, and he won't let anyone touch you, let alone hurt you. you're safe here with him, don't worry about them, worry about him. you've got him wrapped around your finger without even knowing, you could want a certain sweet from Inazuma and he'll get it as fast as possible. you can get anything you want, ok? The only condition is that you stay right here with him, and only him.
La Signora
She swore she wasn’t going to fall for anyone after her first lover died, so why did she fall for you, how did she fall for you. Honestly you don’t know and she doesn’t either, she doesn’t know how you were able to melt her ice cold heart back to normal, even if only around you and you only, if anyone else is around it freezes back quicker than lightning can strike. She thought she wasn’t able to love again after he died, but you proved her wrong, so you can’t leave too. She cant deal with the death of her lover once again, so don’t leave her, ever.
You hug her in the night as she cries a little, mad at you for leaving her in her dream, but still not mad at you, as her anger is mostly to the world for doing this to her. But don’t worry, she’ll fall asleep eventually as she always does, she does need her beauty sleep after all. But that doesn’t mean she’ll wake up and easily let go again or just get out of bed, she’s stubborn and want you all for herself a little longer. She makes you talk a little as you carefully brush her hair like she taught you to do, and she relaxes a bit when you tell her you love her while kissing her head.
As long as you promise you wont leave her, and keep that promise, she’ll love you forever, she cant bare to see you go out the door even if its just for groceries, someone else can do that don’t worry. Just come and relax with her in a bath, she can wash your hair and you can wash hers. She’ll take care of you like you take care of her, just don’t leave, please. If you ever left her alone for too long she would freak out, she does everything with you, baths, shopping, paperwork even, so she cant bear to be left alone for longer than 30 minutes or she’ll panic. So don’t leave her please, please, please don’t, she’ll even beg for you to not leave her, just stay here with her.

Yandere Fatui Harbingers (Normalized Yandere AU)
Okay so I had a thought for my Normalized Yandere AU for Genshin,in a thread of reblogs (read here) with @writing-genshin-obsession she brought up the idea of in Snezhnaya most if not every relationship steeped into Yandere and that sort of behavior being encouraged there.
This made me think, let me walk you all through my train of thought
Encouraged yandere behavior in Snezhnaya -> Fatui having darlings with them -> Harbingers having darlings -> Darlings resenting them (especially ones from other regions) -> Darlings running away together and trying to destroy the people and organization that made their life hell
The 11th Harbinger’s Darling
The Childhood Sweetheart
An Anemo Wielder
Childe’s darling is probably his childhood friend, someone who knows him or at least she thought she did. After going their separate ways from their childhood and they meet again and she sees who he really is, she questions everything. This isn’t the sweet Ajax she used to play with. Then to add more salt to the wound after their reunion, barely even knowing this new Ajax, he asks her parents to let him marry their daughter. She hears that and wants to throw up, she excuses herself from the room and steps out into the cold landscape of her hometown for some “air”. That air is running as fast as she can until she meets another…
The 9th Harbinger’s Darling
The Shopkeeper
A Cyro Wielder
Pantalone’s darling is the one she meets. A young shop owner, a bakery, florist, or something along those lines. She invites the other inside the empty shop to hide. When the other darling asks about the lack of business the other reveals that for the last few months the ninth of the Fatui Harbingers have been coming to her shop and the sight of him kept away any other customers. If he didn’t come that day he would have Fatui members stay nearby, scaring away customers. He was driving her broke, all because she refused his marriage proposal.
The two young woman stay together until the missing person posters start popping up for the runaway. With the lack of customers and if they found Childe’s darling hiding here Pantalone’s darling she would be arrested and fall easily into the Regrator’s hands. So the two of them pack up what they can and run away together, leaving Snezhnaya.
The 8th & 7th Harbingers’ Darlings
The Knight & Ballerina
A Hydro Wielder & an Electro Wielder
They find themselves going to the city of freedom where they meet two other darlings, La Signora’s darling, a knight, and Sandrone’s darling, a dancer. The two of them have been close friends for a number of years and easily welcome the other darlings into their small apartment once they hear of their situation. It doesn’t take long to notice La Signora’s darling always keeping a close eye on the Fatui on his patrols, along with the scars on Sandrone’s darling’s joints, almost like a doll. It doesn’t take long after for the two to reveal that they were kidnapped by the Fatui a while ago, separately but ran away together, much like the other two. La SIgnora saw the soul of her deceased lover in the young man’s eyes and called him by the deceased man’s name. Sandrone made her darling into the little perfect doll, she kept the darling drugged up and dressed up. If it wasn’t for the knight rescuing her on his own escape she fears on what may have happened.
They also revealed that they had other friends around Teyvat that had been victims of the Harbingers and if something happened they would leave to meet up with the others as soon as possible…
And something did happen…
On a walk one day Pantalone’s darling spots the owner of the Goth Grand Hotel talking to a man… her heart sinks, its him…
She runs home and tells the others, they don’t even waste a moment before setting out again…
The 4th Harbinger’s Darling
The “Mother”
A Geo Wielder
The four of them move onto Fontaine where they meet a young librarian and one of these victims of the harbingers. She’s so incredibly sweet it’s almost hard to believe something happened to her…
Well almost…
When they were talking outside on the streets of Fontaine, a young man and woman run up to her, calling her “mother” and telling her how worried “father” was about her since she disappeared. There is an apparent look of fear and horror on her face at this. The young duo don’t stay long, saying they’re going to let father know she’s okay.
The moment they’re out of sight the librarian throws up and is in hysterics, saying how they need to get out of here at once. Once calmed down she reveals to the rest of them that a few years ago she ran away from the 4th harbinger, Arlecchino. The father of the House of the Hearth, and since she was the harbinger’s partner, she was the unwilling mother.
The 3rd Harbinger’s Darling
The Actress
A Cyro Wielder
After that interaction, the Knave’s darling leads them to a safe house, a theater. There they meet up with Columbina’s darling, an actress. Unlike the others she refused to say what happened to her, just that something left her traumatized before she ran from Snezhnaya. She lets the others stay at the theater, well that is until that place is unsafe. The actress spots Arlecchino visiting the theater one day. The actress tells the others how it’s no longer safe here and she tells them to find their friends in Sumeru…
The actress distracts Arlecchino in conversation while the others escape but not without a price. Arlecchino recognizes her and thinks it may be smart and her best interest to return the wayward darling to Damselette…
I suppose not everyone can run forever…
The 2nd & 1st Harbingers’ darlings
The Medic & Hunter
A Dendro Wielder & Pyro Wielder
In the wilds of Sumeru is where they meet the others, a young lady, a medic, and Dottore’s darling. Traveling with her is a man, a hunter, a ranger, and Capitano’s darling. The two of them have been avoiding cities for a long time, cities mean people, and people could mean Fatui, and Fatui could mean they are trapped all over again. They met a long time ago, the Hunter used to serve in the Fatui under Capitano, until they found out the captain was going to have him go out on a dangerous mission so the hunter would be purposefully injured so he would be discharged and placed in the harbinger’s custody. He already hates the Fatui, only joining because that’s what his parents expected of him. So he ran which lead him into meeting the medic…
She was a graduate of the Sumeru Akademiya, but she did not call Dottore by that name once, always Zandik. She used to know him as a friend, they went to the Akademiya together before he was expelled. She was completely blindsided by his true nature, he was ever so kind to her, always helping her with her research. When he left the Akademiya and joined the Fatui he begged her to come with him, telling her to think of all the great things they could accomplish together, but his true nature disgusted her. She eventually graduated from the Akademiya, moving on to continue her medical research, and she did amazing things. That is until she returned to where she was staying one night and found her equipment destroyed and her research stolen, her life’s work just gone with a note saying if she wanted it back she would go to the spot where they first met, back In Sumeru. On the way there she ran into the Hunter, who convinced her not to go, of the Fatui’s corruption, so with that they traveled together, staying out of two harbingers’ reaches.
The Director’s Darling
The Historian
Vision Unknown
Over a campfire they all explain to Childe’s and Pantalone’s darlings how they all know each other. A kind woman, another nomad lead them to one another about a year ago. She apparently escaped with Columbina’s darling a number of years ago, her from Pierro. Unlike the others she never stayed in one region for to long, she couldn’t settle in Mondstadt like the knight and ballerina, nor Fontaine like the mother and actress, she couldn’t even travel the wilds of Sumeru with the medic and the hunter, and just forget about returning to Snezhnaya.
They rarely heard from her but considering the recent kidnapping of Columbina’s darling they bet on something happening and it happening soon…

「 ✦ Fatui Harbingers x La Signora's Sister! Reader, PART 3.5✦ 」
---
Part 1 Part 2 Part 2.5 Part 3 [Part 3.5]
It's highly recommended to read the parts in order, otherwise few things will make sense!
A/N ~ I ACTUALLY GOT A CHAPTER OUT. Anyway, the next one might take... another while. I've got other stuff going on and life can be kinda chaotic sometimes. Hope you enjoy this one, though :')
Warnings: I'm not sure what to list here; Dottore & Pantalone being a menace + slightly angsty stuff?
Word count: 2.9k
---
More often than not, family wasn't the manifestation of perfect, unconditional love that you could foolishly rely on. Something... that would never harm you. Because this was, in the end, just what humans were like - so easily blinded by things like greed, anger and envy that they were bound to end up hurting those around them.
You'd learned this yourself a long time ago, and witnessing it again hardly should have swayed you anymore. But what it did was bring up memories; a hurtful echo that even time couldn't drown.
And this mission only served to remind you of what a 'lovely' thing blood relations could be...
"Who are they?" you finally asked, breaking the pointless silence.
Inside the cabin Dottore and Pantalone had led you into, you'd faced a young mother and her two children. Judging by how they looked, the three were undoubtedly victims of unjust fate, yet somehow unfazed even as Harbingers waltzed into their home. A certain dignity in their eyes never faded...
Then again, most Snezhnayans were like this.
"Well, these people here are yours to handle, miss 12th. If you please." The Doctor's words were somehow vague, and Pantalone's expression, too, implied that such a roundabout answer was probably not the entire truth.
Since it wasn't clear what anyone expected you to do, you could only test the waters.
With a somewhat polite smile on your lips, you addressed the residents. "Hello, ma'am. Hello, little ones~"
No response. Somehow unsurprising, seeing as you were a Harbinger; one half of Snezhnaya feared you, the other despised you.
And yet, they went and got involved with the Fatui anyway. How stupid!
You glanced at Pantalone. The Banker seemed oddly delighted about the situation, hence, it likely had something to do with Mora. Although, this man always did seem like he was enjoying himself thoroughly in any situation.
As for Dottore, he was the silently measuring these people with his gaze, a sinful smile on his lips. You decided not to decipher what his thoughts on the matter were, or what, pray tell, was this corrupt heretic even doing on a field mission...
Their questionable work ethics were beyond your remit anyway.
"Now then," you sighed, "what are we sensible people dealing with here, and why won't anyone tell me?"
The woman gave a derisive scoff, finally speaking.
"Ha, it looks like Pantalone and company brought along yet another recruit this time - but she's just a little girl!~ How amusing."
"Careful there, I'm definitely old enough... And, by title, a full-fledged Harbinger. So," your smile was innocent yet subtly menacing, "...let's not get too uncivil now; we wouldn't want to upset your children."
Or maybe you don't actually care about them at all?
The young siblings stood firmly by their mother's side, observing you with lilac eyes as cold yet fragile as hoarfrost.
They're so brave. But perhaps brave for the wrong person, much like I once was. In that sense, I probably shouldn't be the one to meddle in whatever it is that's going on here...
You sighed. I want my paycheck, though.
Pantalone and Dottore had watched your interaction with amused curiosity while lingering near the doorway, wanting to see just how their little Harbinger would behave on her first mission.
But one slightly vexed look from you, and they deemed it best to give the situation a little push forward.
As the two men walked forward, stopping on each of your sides, both of them placed a praiseful hand on your shoulder. You hadn't actually done anything yet, but welcomed this with a content smile regardless~ These affectionate gestures hardly went unnoticed by anyone in the room, yet only a fool would have dared to make a comment about it!
"Now then, Dominika," Pantalone addressed the woman with a complacent smile. "It's high time to pay off your debt, don't you think?
A debt?
"Oh, I'm certain she agrees." Dottore commented. "Of course, there are alternative means of paying back. I could offer plenty."
Pity those who had to do business with these two!
But this 'Dominika' woman seemed unbothered...
"Then, Lord Regrator," the lady commented, her voice as sharp as ice. "I ask that you show at least some decency. I don't have the whole sum gathered yet, so do wait for a month longer, as I'm certain that someone like you is not so short on Mora that you should have the heart to harass me like this."
Well, at least she had backbone? Though, it seemed to cover up something utterly immoral.
Pantalone entwined his fingers, the numerous silver rings decorating them clinking presumptuously.
"But, my friend, surely you realize that what you owe the Northland Bank is at least three times the amount I'm now here to collect. You've had plenty of time to pay back, too. Moreover, I surmise you have quite a profitable job? After all, when taking such monumental loans from us - 3 million Mora, to be exact - you must have been well prepared to return it. With interest, naturally~"
Ah, so that was it.
Yet, it made you frown. 3 million Mora? Something fishy was going on here!
You chuckled, patting his shoulder. "But, dear Pantalone..."
The log cabin - not even a house - was thoroughly ramshackle, it was freezing cold inside and there was an unpleasant, moldy smell in the air. And those two children looked so malnourished and sickly that it was hard to believe they'd had a proper meal or felt the warmth of a home in years, if ever.
...so then, where had all that money gone?
You gazed at the siblings, a sister and a brother, who stood by their mother's side, clearly not entirely oblivious despite of their young age yet devoted to shield their parent's crimes.
And you of all people had no right to condemn them for that.
The two Harbingers were observing you keenly, shrewd smiles on their faces, almost as if expecting you to do something unfavorable for the Fatui.
I swear, Pierro and his infinite need to test anyone and everyone!
Well, this certainly wasn't the time to question anyone's loyalties. Except, maybe hers...
"You don't have the money, then?" you questioned Dominika, cocking an eyebrow.
"No, and you don't even need it, so you damn cretins better leave us alone," she spat with such disrespect and malice that even the Balladeer would have been impressed.
"There's no need for such a violent tone-"
"Violent?" Dominika chuckled darkly. "The Fatui are the only true violence Snezhnaya has ever seen."
"Tut-tut," you scolded her. "The Fatui do NOT wish to harm the people, nor will they do so without a reason. If one of us has harmed you just for the sake of being cruel, I shall see myself that they are punished tenfold..."
"However," you looked at the kids, then at back their mother, "ma'am herself is not so innocent either, it seems?"
She threw you a nasty look. "You dare accuse me-"
"Then, does Dominika suggest the money just vanished into thin air?"
"I-I know! I can tell you," the little boy, no older than six, suddenly exclaimed. For their sake, it was better that at least somebody was smart enough to talk.
Guilt flashed in the mother's eyes before she raised her hand in a hasty attempt to silence her child. But before she could, Pantalone had moved swiftly to grab her arm, an ominous smile on his lips.
"Now, now, Dominika..."
Yet, someone was quick to follow their mother's lead. The girl was surely only eleven or so, but the look in her eyes was fierce as she slapped the back of her brother's head.
"Don't forget our promise, Lazár," she reprimanded the boy. "No tattletaling."
"I'm sorry, Liliya..."
You fixed 'Liliya' a warning look, though it quickly softened - the brave yet somehow lost look in her eyes reminded you a bit of yourself. But she desperately needed a reality check. No child should feel the need to cover up their parents' sins...
The girl didn't flinch as you cupped her cheek with your cold hand. This made you smile a bit.
"Liliya, was it? You don't have to protect your mother, you know. What has she done to deserve such devotion?"
"..."
Sighing, you turned to her brother.
"Does your mommy have... a lot of Mora?"
"Maybe..."
"And she uses that Mora to take care of you and your sister? To buy you food, warm clothes and... toys?"
Lazár tilted his head. "Mama gets us bread from the city."
"And what else does she buy?" Dottore asked with a subtle smirk on his lips, clearly in the know of everything relevant but insistent on letting you figure it out yourself.
The boy frowned as he searched for the right words (or wondered whether he should've kept his mouth shut after all).
"...Golden cans! There's nothing inside, though. You have to pay a lot of Mora to get them... Then the misters come, and take those. Liliya says they smell like foreigners - spices and the ocean. Mama gets big bags of Mora from them. But we're not supposed to know, so we don't really... know," he finally finished.
Canned knowledge? All the way in Snezhnaya?
You glanced at the Doctor, but he only gave you an amused look and shook his head, implying that he wasn't involved in this - not this time, at least.
Something still felt off, though.
"Even so, Dominika... your debt equals millions of Mora. It's clear that loan hasn't been used to take care of your family. I'm not judging you for smuggling foreign goods, per se. But then, on my travels I've also become quite familiar with Sumeru's market, and even canned knowledge isn't that expensive."
You sighed, "Well, forbidden knowledge, perhaps. Do enlighten me?"
Dottore broke his. "Marvellous, it seem Y/N truly is as knowledgeable in this particular matter as the Director claimed. I wonder why that is, hm?"
Another story, another time.
"But for what reason does she smuggle, if not to get money to feed her children?" Pantalone smiled.
Liliya had been quiet since earlier. She shrugged and spoke in an emotionless tone, "Mama has different family in a different land. They're important people. Dangerous people. I don't know. That's probably where the Mora goes, too."
"Ah, is that so?" You smiled darkly. What a disloyal woman.
The girl hesitated. "For them, she... runs all kinds of errands. But that money, too, just goes... poof."
Pantalone nodded. "Yes, Dominika here is quite the magician~"
Dottore clicked his tongue. "I suppose you would know."
"Let's try to behave ourselves..."
But really, the issue at hand was practically clear by now.
Smiling at the kids, you patted their heads and gave them two apples from under your cloak.
"Here, have some snacks as a 'thank you'... Liliya, take your brother to play outside for a bit, okay?"
Liliya just shrugged nonchalantly, taking Lazár's hand and leading him out of the cabin.
It was quiet for a while.
You stared at Dominika with a frown.
Dottore and Pantalone smiled ominously.
"You're a Snezhnayan," you pointed out, "yet your own kin is worth this little to you?"
The woman shrugged. "I do what I know I have the right to. There's nothing unholy about that."
"What about your children?"
"I never asked for them. Their father was a wretch. Hasn't my world, my Snezhnaya, already been cruel enough to me? And only a fool would to go out of their way to selflessly take care of children that life is going to treat unkindly regardless." She smiled darkly. "Plenty of people in this cold land have been on their own since childhood. I know I was, yet here I am, because I learned to survive."
Again, you could only judge a person so far.
You nodded. "I see. I'm not a saint, either. I... was not loved by my parents, either. I'm not sure if I can love like that, either."
"However," you paused for a bit, gazing out of the window at Liliya and Lazár who were busy building a snowman, "as someone who serves the Archon of Love, there is one sin I cannot overlook... a parent forsaking their child."
A wistful smile curved your lips, "For as much as Liliya and Lazár are your children, they are the Tsaritsa's children as well. And she loves all her children fiercely~"
Dominika was silent. Perhaps because she did not care. Perhaps because she did.
Regardless, the time of her retribution was nigh. And, in the end, it was also for a reason much simpler than the 'crime' of being an unloving mother...
She didn't have Pantalone's money, and that was that.
The Banker walked to stand by your side, softly brushing your cheek with the back of his gloved hand. The rings felt cold, yet the touch was somehow... incredibly warm.
"What does Y/N wish to do with those children, then?"
You smiled.
"The House of the Hearth is no heaven... but it's better for Liliya and Lazár there than out on the streets by themselves. And despite what ignorant people say, Arlecchino is not a monster - I'll personally ask her to look after these two."
And I will look out for them as well, so that they will never have to make the same mistakes I did.
Sudden anger flashed in Dominika's lifeless eyes. She took a quick step forward with her hand raised threateningly. "You witch-"
...I dare you.
But Dottore had already pulled you back a bit, a few centimeters behind him.
You smiled.
"I'm quite capable of protecting myself, Doctor~"
"Quite, but it's her I was shielding. That's a scary gaze you have there, Y/N, and as much as I'd enjoy observing just how violent you can be, Pierro specifically asked us to fetch this woman with all her limbs still attached."
You pouted. " I wasn't going to-" Not too much, at least!
Zandik chuckled, patting your head. "Yes, yes, I believe you~"
The woman didn't speak another word nor struggle when a couple of Fatui agents came in and restrained her - who knows if this was proof of the dignity of a Snezhnayan, or the lack thereof.
Dottore injected her with something that dimmed the last flicker of a flame still glowing in those dull eyes.
You frowned at this.
"Just a mild sedative, don't worry," said the Doctor and you dared not question it further - though you probably should have...
---
After Dominika was gone, and Liliya and Lazár had been sent on their way to the House of the Hearth, Snezhnaya's sun had reached its zenith.
You stood outside in the snow, a hand shielding your eyes from the cold, pale yellow rays.
Pantalone had since remained inside the cabin with his subordinates, likely discussing the distraint of the property - not that it was worth much anything.
Celestia knows where Dottore had gone...
A hollow ache was left in your chest.
Was it resentment, melancholy, indifference, all of the above, or perhaps something else that you just couldn't admit to feeling - regardless, it was there.
But who would you have shed a tear for? It would've just frozen in this frigid weather anyway.
"Shall we head back, dear?" Pantalone's soft voice came from next to you. Dottore had disappeared and then appeared again, now standing on your other side, humming to himself while resting a hand on your shoulder.
Back...
"I think I'll stay behind for a bit. I've got an errand to run nearby." Your voice was devoid of any emotion, faltering ever so slightly.
It wasn't a lie, but at most, a half-truth. You really just wanted some time to clear your head - just a little more to pull yourself together, so that your Harbingers wouldn't discover too big of a crack in your defences.
Being vulnerable was quite scary.
"No, no, that won't do at all." Pantalone looked down at you sternly yet gently. "I couldn't possibly agree to leave our little Y/N here in such a state."
"I'm fine."
"Y/N is very strong, after all."
He leaned closed, his breath fanning across your cheek.
"But I do find there is a certain irresistible charm about strong people who think they need to be tough all the time. It makes their broken parts appear all the more beautiful~"
You frowned. "Um... I-I see. Is that so, huh..."
Dottore sighed, wrapping his outer cloak around yours.
"In any case, Pierro would be quite displeased if we were to tell him that we diligently finished the job, but lost our precious little Harbinger somewhere in Snezhnaya..."
His comment actually made you chuckle a bit, along with the fact that this impossible duo seemed more than ready to (gently) drag you back to the Headquarters if you really tried to stay.
"Heh~"
The Doctor suddenly leaned closer, lifting his mask to plant a soft kiss on your forehead. Uncharacteristic, and a bit weird? Well, not really, since it appeared this really was one of his "gentler" segments. What instead stole your attention were those strikingly red eyes...
It was the first time you'd seen his face fully uncovered.
You didn't know how to feel about that. You didn't know how too feel about a lot things these days.
And, maybe... that was okay.
"Shall we go home, then?" The Doctor held your hand.
"Little Harbinger?~" Pantalone also held your hand.
You smiled. 'Home' was perhaps not the right term. Not yet, at least. But in that moment, it didn't really matter. Sometimes just trusting someone, even if not completely, was enough.
And so...
"Mm, let's go home~"

Picking Suitors
Anonymous Asked: Could I request more of the sagau au where creator picks suitors ranging from archons to fatui Harbingers and this time could you pleasw include Lisa, Yae Miko, La Signora and Candace (+ anyone else you wanna do). Thank you, I loved reading it very much!
Characters included: Lisa, Yae Miko, La Signora, Candace,
Note: Gotta give the ladies some luv! Sorry for the wait Anon but here it is 🙏
Here’s the original part in case you missed it: Here
Mondstadt’s resident librarian Lisa cares for you so much. When she went to Sumeru’s Akademiya to expand her knowledge, it was to learn more about you. When she returned to Mondstadt to be a mere librarian when everyone knew she was capable of much more, it was for you. Her intelligence is unparalleled and she will always use it for the advancement of Mondstadt so once you arrive, everything will be perfect for you.
To many, it seems that she doesn’t take her job as a librarian seriously, always napping and looking bored when she is doing her job. However, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Lisa takes collecting overdue books very seriously, especially when the books are about her dear Creator, you. Most books about you are in the restricted section of the library but Lisa cannot get enough of them, she wants to know everything about you to gain your favor.
Gaining your favor is exactly what she did. Once you express to her that you hold affections for her, it felt as if everything she did is finally paying off. She will tease you for your confession, but don’t worry, she definitely feels the same. Her favorite thing to do is to enjoy her afternoon tea time with you, she already considered this part of her day extremely important (besides her naps of course) but when you’re there with her, she looks forward to it everyday. Sometimes she might even offer to take you to Good Hunter and have vegetable soup with it.
Despite Lisa’s carefree nature, she hates it when others interrupt her time with you. The two of you are constantly busy with many things, her with the Library and you with… well basically everything in Teyvat. When the two of you spend time together she’d rather stay somewhere private so no one would bother you. However that doesn’t stop people from trying to get your attention if the witch and onto them, she won’t do anything while you’re around besides pulling you away from the individual. However once you’re gone, they will learn in an electrifying way why they shouldn’t interrupt her time with you ever again.
-
The Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine and the Ei’s best friend, Yae Miko has been surrounded by everything related to you her entire life. She knows how much Ei loves and cares for you, and even though she doesn’t show it in the same way, she does too. She hides her devotion to you under the enigmatic aura around her, but it’s clear how strong her devotion is when people visit the shrine or the publishing house.
When it comes to the publishing house, Yae is known to be very kind and a bookworm, with her favorite books being about you. But when others write light novels about you her way of editing becomes much more strict. She will not let anything be published that sullies your name or anything that contradicts what she already knows about you. Inazuma had a reputation for having the best novels about you thanks to the Guuji.
As a kitsune and youkai, Yae is very mischievous, she uses her impressive skills of manipulation and reading people to gain favor with you. If you’re feeling down, she’d be the first by your side offering you a walk under the moonlight or the two of you can get something to eat together. (You get everything you want for free and that’s a plus for her) If you enjoy reading, Yae would love to read with you, or if you like to write she’ll be honored if you let her beta read it for you. Not only would this give her alone time with you, but the two of you would share a special connection that she totally didn’t plan. ;)
One of Yae’s favorite thing is to see others squirm due to her teasing, and that definitely includes you. She loves seeing you flustered and shy due to her words or touches. But you can make her flustered as well, you’re her God! Having your undivided attention makes her chest bloom with warmth and anytime you ask to let her she feel her face grow warm.
Anytime you leave Inazuma to visit the other nations that’s when Yae truly wished Ei’s version of Eternity was true. Everything staying the same forever doesn’t sound bad to the kitsune at all, especially with you by her side.
-
Oh Signora… she has done many evil deeds for the Fatui but before all that, she was just a simple maiden named Rosalyne. She loved singing, with her main muse being you, she always wished that one day she would be able to meet you and sing to you.
Yet after the cataclysm she was consumed by hatred, not being able to control the flames that took over her body until she was found by the Fatui and given a Cryo delusion. That was the day she discarded her life in Mondstadt as a maiden and became The Fair Lady, but one thing she didn’t discard was you.
Signora wanted to hate you and blame you for the Cataclysm but she couldn’t. She had lost everything she ever cared about and the only thing she had now was you and the hope that maybe one day she can bask in your divine grace.
When she first met you, Signora presented herself as no more than a Snezhnayan diplomat, acting extremely professional as she escorts you to the Zapolyarny Palace. During the boat ride to Snezhnaya, the only thing that fills her mind were all the songs she had wrote for you all those centuries ago. She was sure the she had forgotten those.
Having your favor means everything to the Harbinger, not only will it help her get her duties done more quickly since no one would dare go against the one the Creator desires but it also brings her a sense of comfort that she hadn’t felt since her days as a maiden.
Signora will do anything to keep your eyes on her, even if that means killing others or having her subordinates blackmail or threaten the one trying to steal your attention away. Surely after you given her a taste of your love you wouldn’t just take it away from her, right?
During her final confrontation with the Traveler and the Shogun, all she could do is pray for you to save her life before her fate is sealed by the electro puppet. If you save her, her love and affection for you grows stronger. She had realized just how fast her life could be taken away, and Signora doesn’t want to leave you, not yet. She would even leave the Fatui just to stay by your side. Late in the night, when the two of you are laying under the moonlight together, she’ll sing you one of her songs. Knowing that her one and only God loves her just as much as she loves them.
-
The descendant of King Deshret, Candace will do anything to protect the Aaru Village. She is the guardian after all.
Candace is a warm and kindhearted person, despite the protests from others in the village, she will welcome outsiders with open arms. As long as they follow the rules of course! So when new of your arrival spread throughout Teyvat, and it was rumored you were visiting the village in the desert, many wanted the guardian to refuse you entry.
They all wanted to believe you were the reason they the rest of Sumeru wanted all of King Deshrets descendants to slowly die off until none of them existed any longer. The sages already sent scholars who were “out of their mind” to the village and you’ve turned a blind eye.
But Candace didn’t believe that.
“They are the Creator of Teyvat. Kind and merciful to all. They created King Deshret, so surely they hold us in their heart as well?”
And she couldn’t have been more right.
Once you had made it to the village, Candace made it her personal responsibility to cater to your needs and make you feel welcome. Even though many had their reservations about you being there, they eventually came around too. You were just as kind and sweet as they’ve been told.
Having you around meant more to Candace then she ever thought it would, she recalls how her friend Dehya told her to find happiness outside of work and she said the village in peace would be more than enough to make her happy. Now, she could think of other things that would make her happy.
And all of those things begin with you.
Showing you around the village, gifting you clothes and jewelry, just simply having you near her means more than she can express.
Candace doesn’t care what others think of her, when she wins your favor many outsiders come to visit the village just to see what is so special about her that the creator themselves wants to give her their affections. Even though the reasons they are there is less than desirable, Candace still treats them all kind and welcomes them with open arms reminding them to follow the rules of the desert.
Anytime you leave the Aaru Village, Candace would use her mora to buy trinkets from merchants who visit the desert. Most of these trinkets would be stored away in her wardrobe for a rare occasion that she decides to put her duties to the side and dress up while she relaxes in the shade. But some of the trinkets she buys she has you in mind. Thinking that this certain piece of jewelry would look wonderful on you.

Here you are people some of my all-time favorite Genshin mommies getting all the love they deserve
Soulmates? Such a thing, who would have thought that out of everyone in this whole world you got to be the one with 3 destined soulmates
Why did it just have to be you?
You didn't even want to choose when they made you now what?
"Reader" "Ningguang" "Signora" "Lisa"
Warnings⚠️: Smut, Fluff ending
Traveling was your dream, a dream you wish to fulfill before you are not able to
Your parents disagree, saying you should stay with them so that you can settle down once you find your soulmate, you disagree
So you choose, either you stay and become miserable or you leave and fulfill your dream the only downside is you might not be able to know who your soulmate is
It was a risk but you wanted to accomplish your dream, and so you left
In the middle of the night while the colorless sky hung over you, it was a curse for you to not know what those around you look like till you find your soulmate
It was one of the things that help you know who your soulmate was, by looking in their eyes you will see a burst of colors all over you, lighting your once dull vision with vibrant and majestic colors—is what you heard from your friend
But alas you don't know how but you also have a mark more specifically a soulmate mark on your neck
It was a star with a crescent moon you don't know the color of it but according to your friends and family it was a night purple star with a midnight blue moon next to it
You covered it with a scarf so that no one can copy it again, so that the accident will not happen again
Well there was no time to dwell in the past, you are now approaching the land of freedom Monsdant it was beautiful even if you were not able to identify the colors of it, for you it was magnificent and that was enough for the time being
Arriving in Mondstadt was easy considering it was night, even tho the knights that were guarding the gate reluctantly agreed in letting you in due to the time, but thanks to this blonde woman who just so happens to be passing by
Jean was just passing by, inspecting everything before going home when she saw you at the gate talking—more like arguing—with the guard, she decided to step in and know what was happening
So despite her own opinion she reluctantly agreed on guiding you to a nearby inn to let you settle in for the night
"Thank you very much miss! I don't know what I would have done have you not step in to help me!" you said enthusiastically, she merely observed you before speaking
"It was nothing, but please be advised that leaving and entering the city at night will arise our suspicion to you, so please bear in mind that you will not do this again" she voiced out, strictly but gently at the same time
"I understand, but if I may be bold, what is your name?" you asked making her smile gently "I am the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonious, welcome to Mondstadt traveler from a far" she did her salute with a warm smile "I will be going now, take care and may the wind guide you" she said before turning to leave
"Ah right, I wish to see you tomorrow at my office, please be at ease that I only wish to confirm something from you and regarding your arrival here" she added before waving and leaving you alone
Puzzled you just shrugged your shoulders and went inside the in to logged yourself a room to rest for the night
You sighed, dreading the next to arrive but at the same time, you were excited to explore yet another region in Teyvat, you wanted to learn more about everything here and around the whole world
Sleep soon took over you and the next time you opened your eyes it was already morning, the sun was shining and the sky was clear 'Perfect for exploring' you thought and left the bed to get yourself ready
Once outside you asked the people where the Knights of Favonious headquarters are, when you successfully arrived you notice a variety of people in different clothing around the headquarters
Confused you asked around and saw the same guard that stopped you at the gate last night walking around, most likely patrolling the area
"Umm, excuse me?" you waved at him, he then stopped and looked at you "Ohh, it's you again the gal from last night, what are you doing here?" he asked looking at you
"Oh, the lad– no sorry, I mean the Acting Grand Master asked for me to come here today, but I was wondering what is all the commotion about? There are so many people here" you said while looking around looking at the people
"I see, yes you are right, the Tianquan of Liyue is currently here hence the millileth are also here, the ones in dark clothing are here for the Fair Lady from Sheneznaya, I don't know why they are here, but you should got to the Acting Grand Master, she must be looking for you right about now" he then bid you farewell after a couple of 'thanks' coming from you
You then head towards the doors and went inside, asking another guard where the office of the Acting Grand Master was, they then point it to you
Knocking on the door startled the four people inside, Jean being the one with authority and owning the office granted you permission to enter
"Sorry to disturb yo–" you stopped in your tracks when you opened the door, locking eyes with three of the four women in the room you suddenly see a burst of colors, everything was beautiful
You could also see their eyes going wide from seeing you, suddenly your soulmate mark at your neck started to itch a bit, it left you gasping
That seems to have broken everyone from their trance, the first lady went up to you, she was wearing red and black, her platinum blonde hair was covering a part of her eyes, while her light gray eye are what you catch the most beautifully
"My, my, looks like this one is a fine catch, should I consider myself lucky for finding you here of all places tiger?" she asked with a smirk, looking directly at your eyes,
She was then interrupted by another person whose hair is also platinum blonde while her eyes shine like rubies in the dark, this person was wearing a midnight blue outfit that showed all her curves
"Who said she was your catch? I think you are solely mistaken, for I think– no for I know I have her as a big catch, right my dear?" she said looking at your direction
Before you could answer another voice interrupted you, it was a dark brown haired woman with emerald green eyes, she was wearing a purple dress and a matching purple hat
"Ara~ That seems to have been my catch good miss, you two are fighting a losing game for she already is my catch from the start, right cutie?" she asked looking at your direction
'How did I end up here?!' you thought to yourself, this was not how you imagined your day to turned out, you were merely planning to explore after meeting the Acting Grand Master and stay in Mondstadt for a week or two maybe three at most, not find your soulmate(s) in one place
You wanted to get out of here so you did the most logical yet idiotic thing you could think of at that moment, you ran, out of the headquarters and out of the city towards the path that leads to a small village you only stopped when you think you were far enough already
Hoping that you are you looked around only to see that you ran so far that your knees suddenly gave up on you making you fall to the ground
"This day just gets worse doesn't it???" You asked nobody but yourself before laying down to the soft grass beside the road, it was peaceful, the wind blows music of the bards and your problems suddenly became nothing but a blur
Yet you know that hiding can get you nowhere, you have to face them, you have to confront them, but you were also afraid of rejection, so a peace like this was something you are thankful for at the moment
Looking up you saw the clouds dance together, a simple show just for your eyes the colors they poses were majestic, like a rainbow dancing on the sky
You sigh once more before sitting up, looking at the road you are on you can see the vast green grass, the brown dirt road and the trees that hang fruit
You decided that this is enough and stood up, you patted your clothes to take the dust away before starting your walk back to Mondstadt
While walking you can see a few knights that were patrolling the area, still mesmerized by the colors that are around you, it was very different from the dull world you come to know of
After arriving back at the city you prayed with your life that those three soulmates of yours were not there at Jean's office if you were to return again
So you decided to go straight to your hotel and washed up, then to change your dirty clothes and get them cleaned for your next use, after that you went straight back to the Knights Headquarters to hopefully talk with Jean once more
Upon arriving there were less people than earlier, hoping that you won't have to run into those three was a mere wishful thinking, going straight to Jean's office and listening 'She seems to be alone now, good' knocking you wait for a confirmation to come in
Once you were allowed you slowly opened the door and went inside "Jean, sorry for running aw-" you stopped on your tracks when you saw those three woman again
"Sorry, I can come back later" you said in a hurry before trying to close the door but was stopped by Jean holding it "No need, come inside and don't try to run away again" she said before opening the door and leading you inside
Once you were inside she then closes the door and went back to her office chair after giving you a chair to sit on
You could feel their gaze on you, their eyes bored on your back, you tried your best to not look in their way as much as possible while waiting for Jean to speak up
"Now that you're here, I shall get straight to the point, Y/N upon arriving at the city, you have not caused a single problem, that is good and I expect it to stay like that" she said before handing you some paper
"Please fill this form out so we can confirm your stay here, it will also help us in knowing and assisting you in the future, you also have to send a copy of this to the adventure guild if you wish to venture outside of the walls and become an adventurer" she added before handing you a quilt pen
You started filling out the form but stopped when you arrived at a questions you do not wish to answer "Jean, would it be alright to not out anyone related to me?" you asked the blonde girl who looked up at you "Do you not have a family? Parents or siblings?" she asked back
"...I do but...I cut contact with them" you answered back "I see, you may leave it blank, do not worry" she said with a smile and continued on with her work, you then finished and handed it over to Jean
"Alright, this is good, now then I will give you this copy so you can hand it over to the adventures guild for you to join" she said before storing it at her drawer
"Now before another fight starts once more you can leave and take those three soulmates of yours with you" she said '...She basically kicked me out with those three!' you shouted on your mind when you left her office with the other people
"Ara~ Looks like Jean is going to be busy once more, what a shame~" the woman with a purple hat said with a sympathetic look for the Acting Grand Master while looking at the closed door, she then looked back at you with a smile "Now, we should have a talk, all four of us" she said before walking toward the opposite door of Jean's office
"We should take this talk to somewhere more private than a hallway, do you not agree, miss Harbinger? Miss Tianquan?" she added while looking at the other two who gave a nod before following her "Let's go my dear, this way" the other woman who has ruby red eyes called out before holding your hand and leading you toward the other door across
"Come in, have a seat while I prepare some tea for us to enjoy" the lady with a purple hat said leading you all to a concealed room behind the bookshelves where a couch, coffee table, a bed with some bedside table and lamps are
Looking at the direction the woman went you saw a long table with different flowers, fruits and ingredients lined up with some pot or cauldrons and things to make tea (you presume)
"None of you are allergic to anything right? Just to know so I won't accidentally put anything you are allergic to" she said while setting up a stove
"None that I have known of" the woman with ruby red eyes answered "I also have none" the other woman added "Great! What about you cutie? Anything you're allergic to?" she asked looking in your direction, you weren't able to answer just nod indicating that you also have no allergies whatsoever
A few minutes later she sat down with the tea in a cup to be served and a teapot, she put it down at the coffee table before looking back to you
"Tea anyone?" she gestured to all of you, the woman on your left with the dazzling pale blue eyes reached for a cup before drinking, she was then followed by the woman on your right with ruby red eyes, and just like her you to follow their lead, taking a cup and drinking it's contents
"It's very delicious!" you said before taking another sip, you heard a soft laugh, you looked up seeing the person who served you tea was giggling "Did I say something wrong? Or what?" you asked looking around you saw the other two people also holding their laughter but were also having a hard time doing so
"It's nothing for you to be afraid of, we just found your excitement very refreshing so it is making us happy that little things like these can make you smile so bright, my dear" the person on your right said with a smile, her smile made your heart beat faster, your face flushed with shame and embarrassment
They saw your ears turn bright red when you looked down, suddenly finding the floor more interesting that them "I-..." you tried to answer but was consumed with shyness
"There is nothing to be ashamed of, it's normal, so don't push yourself too hard Tiger" the woman on your left, she was quiet but still spoke, you just noticed but her voice was icy yet hot at the same time, it might have turned you on, just a bit
"She is correct cutie, and I am glad you liked how I brew my tea, if you wish I could teach you the steps" the woman in front of you said with a smile lingering her face
Still ashamed you just nodded and continued to drink your tea, a comforting silence overtook the room while you were enjoying tea
It was not uncomfortable, more like peaceful and relaxing, like a place that I belonged
The silence was soon broken by the beautiful platinum haired lady with light gray eye and a mask proudly covering half of her face "We should continue with the matter at hand" she said bringing her cup to the table and crossing her legs with her arms while looking at you who was beside her
'I'm dead, I'm so so dead!' you thought while sipping on your tea trying to ignore her hard gaze "Your words carry truth Harbinger Signora, we must get this all sorted out at once" the other person beside you said 'Her name is Signora? Wow it's beautiful' you said to yourself
"My dear you must tell us who you pick as your soulmate, it is custom for a person to have only one soulmate thus you must pick" her words hit you hard 'I have to pick one?' you were sad and devastated by the thought alone, it was like your heart was torn to million pieces by her words alone
"Now, now Tinaquan Ningguang, forcing her to pick without even knowing her opinion is something not worth it, because what if she doesn't want to pick?" the lady in purple said
"The librarian is correct Tianquan Ningguang, having her pick might only drift her away from any of us" Signora added while looking at them "Then what do you propose miss Lisa?" Ningguang asked the librarian you came to know as Lisa
"Hmm? Quite simple really, we just share her that's it" she said and put her cup of tea down, you were the only one drinking tea, feeling alone you put your tea at the table too "We share? Share as in we all have her? As in she does not have to pick?" Signora was baffled by the thought
"Yes, we share her, that way she does not have to pick and the other two do not have to suffer from losing a soulmate" she added "I refuse!" Signora said more like shouted at Lisa standing up "Like what Ningguang said she needs to pick, it's uncommon for a person to have a relationship with more than one person and you wish to share her?! Outrageous!" She shouted at her
You were frozen in your spot not knowing what to do "Weren't you just opposed to her idea due to the idea of either one of us drifting away from another if she ever picked?" Lisa countered her gaze instantly knowing what Signora meant
"Or are you worried if we share her, the attention, love and time she will give might not be in your favor?" She asked with a slight teasing tone, and based on the flinch you saw Signora had, Lisa hit the right topic
She wasn't in favor of sharing you and she is also not in favor of letting you pick 'Then what the hell do they want from me?!' you thought angrily, everything you do is like planned for you, yet you refuse to be doing this when none of them even consider asking for your opinion
They are all worried for their own and forgot that you have opinions and can make decisions for yourself, you didn't need them if they continue to discuss this without asking you first
It made you angry that this was all they wanted, that they never thought of what you want to do, of what your opinion is, so you made the decision to leave
Standing up you quietly and quickly went to the door hoping to not be seen, when you reached the door you opened it and went out making your way towards Jean's office
The sudden opening and closing of the door made the three of them realise you have left, they can feel it your emotions were all over the place before you went out, they could feel your anger, sadness and hopelessness, yet they have no idea why you felt that way
They all look at each other to indicate a truce for now in order to look for you, right now you were their top priority, to find you first
While they went out of the Headquarters to look for you, Jean looked at your dull eyes with her tired ones "Sorry Jean, but may I reside here for a moment?" You asked earning a nod from the grandmaster herself
You went towards the couch and sat down remembering everything they have said from the beginning to the end, Jean sensing that you are quite down at the moment stood up from her chair and sat down to the opposite couch from where you are
"Something seems to be troubling you Y/N, may I ask what it is?" her question caught you off guard 'Looks like she saw right through me already' you thought and tried to avoid answering her "It's nothing Jean, I was just deep in thought nothing too serious" you smiled at her
She wasn't buying it at all, before she could respond the door leading to her office burst open, looking back there she saw Lisa out of breath with sweat dripping down her face, Jean can clearly see that she was worried and looking for something
Putting the fact that you are here and Lisa is looking worried for no reason at all, she managed to know that it was you Lisa was looking for, and the Tianquan along with the Harbinger must also be looking with her
Deciding her next move Jean stood up and went towards the door, leaving you by yourself at the couch, once at the door Lisa looked at her 'It seems they have not yet saw Y/N due to the darkness in my office' Jean thought to herself before holding the door for Lisa and the other two, promoting them to enter her office
"The night is above us yet you three are here in my office, may I ask why?" she asked while they settle themselves inside her office, clearly have not caught sight of you just yet "Jean, have you seen Y/N? We must find her!" Lisa said her voice laced with worry for her soulmate
"I did saw her, but why must you find her?" Jean countered not revealing where your current location is "Acting Grandmaster, forgive my rudeness but we must find her at once, if you know where she might have been please tell us" it was Ningguang who asked Jean this time, she was breathing hard just looking for you
"Whether I tell you where she is is up to me, before I do hand you that information tell me why must you find the girl?" Jean remained strong, she must find out what happened before going forward "If you have no intention of telling me your reasons then forgive me but I will not tell you anything" she added
"Jean!" Jean was surprised that Lisa shouted at her, it was a first that it happened, Lisa has never shouted at her, this must be really important "You must tell us Jean! Please! I beg of you!" Lisa begged Jean, the Acting Grandmaster's resolve is close to crumbling, but she still chose to remain in her position of not saying anything
"No matter how much you beg me Lisa, my decision remains, if you wish to find Y/N you must tell me why you are looking for her in the first place" her words are firm with authority making the other three silent
"We made a decision without asking her opinion on it" it was the Harbinger this time that talked "We must clear the misunderstanding at once, it is our fault in the first place for not paying attention and asking her opinion before making these decisions that will ultimately affect her too" she added
Jean closed her eyes, she now knows why you went to her office, but now she does not know how to proceed with the situation, she looked at you past the three people in front of her, looking straight at your eyes silently asking whether she can disclose your location to them
You debated and nod your head at Jean, she saw and released a sigh "Fine, I will give you her location" this statement made the others happy even if they don't show it "Under one condition" she added making the three frown and gave a nod of their own "You three must make amends and let her decide, having only one soulmate must be hard especially when you three are from different nations, you must listen to her and try your best to come up with a solution that benefit all of you and not just you" she finished
The three looked at her and nodded their heads, they know their mistakes and wish to change that, they also want to make sure you never felt that you are some kind of pet for their entertainment only, you are their soulmate and they are very sorry they never showed it right from the beginning
"Good" Jean said before looking past them, the others got curious at what she was looking at looked behind them, there they saw a figure at the sofa before the light shines, that figure was their soulmate, she was here all this time
"Y/N!" Lisa was the first to walk towards the girl followed by the other two, they didn't take a seat beside her instead they kneeled down in front of her, Ningguang and Signora took a hand each while Lisa put her hands on your thighs, they looked at you like they were worshiping you
"We are deeply sorry, my dear" Ningguang started "We know the mistake we have made so pls do forgive us, it was never our intention to leave you out of the decision regarding our relationship" Signora added "We were inconsiderate, we forgot that you must also have a say in this, we should have asked for your opinion and decided base on favor by the four of us" Lisa continued
"It was our Mistake Y/N, do have it in you to forgive us, my dear/tiger/cutie" they said all together, you saw it in their eyes they are honest, they wish to make amends and make everything right
They were anxious to hear a response from you, it was slowly killing them thinking that they would have lost you too just because of their selfishness
"I-" you started but paused thinking about what to say next
Well you must wait till the next update because I am ending this here
I will add the smut in the next one, I am sorry this has been very late
I was so dedicated in my doing my real life activities that I ignored these stories not to worry I have much more cooking in my draft and once those are done I will post them at once!
I am very sorry again, I will try to post more often but due to school and my organizations along with this hetic emergency that keeps popping in almost every time it will be very hard
Once again I am very sorry and still thank you for your continuous support to my fics
This fic is dedicated to my friend @kurogane2512
Also the pic was provided by her thanks again for all the love and support

This is so silly: Fatui Harbingers receiving a bouquet of flowers from their shy s/o?
Harbingers receiving a gift from their s/o
── ୨୧:harbingers x reader
୨୧﹑synopsis :: it's exactly what's written on the tin but with a side of me being off my head again
୨୧﹑content :: gn reader
୨୧﹑words :: 950
I'm so in love with the requests that let me answer them like a crackhead. but also I'm so sorry to the anons who want me to be serious I've just got the sillies. I spent the entire time calling it a pot until I realised the thing I was actually referring to is a vase and had to go back and change it all
if you're wondering where the shy part went, it was lost to this phenomenon called "I can't read" and by the time I realised it said that I was already done. I feel like this is the second time it's happened.
Alright usual order Tartaglia first. I'll be honest; I have no clue. Like, I literally left his here just saying, "Alright usual order", because what the FUCK would he do. He doesn't seem like a flower person, but also it being his s/o changes that so much because his s/o might make him a flower person. You could guess his favourite colour is yellow and suddenly it's yellow because he's so normal for you. He didn't even like flowers, but omg, you got him flowers. These are his new favourite flowers ever kinda thing.
Next is Arlecchino (more food is coming I promise), and tbh, I feel like she'd enjoy receiving flowers. It's not an overly flashy gift, and it probably took a lot for you to go out of your way to get that for her, let alone give it to her. She appreciates that you would get her a gift at all because receiving gifts feels nice sometimes. You can have a kiss for your flowers.
Third would be Pantalone, whose I kinda answered. Flowers are a gift, and honestly, I love the idea that as long as the gifts have sentimental value, that's what he'll treasure the most. He's gonna display those in his nicest vase for people to see. Why would you be nervous about that? The thought of what people think of them? No need. Nobody critiques his decor and means it. They know better.
La Signora would appreciate them, but they gotta be nice, yk? And like, you've gotta pay attention. There's no point if you just get whatever's available. Does she like those kinds of flowers? Do they smell nice? Compliment their surroundings? It's in the details that say you care because, to her, it means you were paying enough attention to consider it for what is a very standard gift for many people.
I did Scara then realised I forgot Sandrone omg anyway flowers, she would love those in her own silly little way. They're nice, and it's so cute that you went to the effort that she might just smile at you. She's 100% gonna keep those to herself and just stare at them for a while because someone got her a gift (this basically never happens) (if it did who the fuck are they?? unimportant 🙄)
Aight we got Scaradouche. Firstly no way this man is going to let you immediately know you got him a gift he likes. Flowers? That's such a girly present to give someone 🙄🙄 (They'll be in a pot on his dresser within the hour). He wouldn't usually want flowers, but since you already went and got them, he'll just have to. Just a little, I think he'd be losing it on the inside, kinda like when someone says they're so normal about something, and you know they're fucking lying. Like that
I totally missed Pulcinella last time, so he can get some flowers now. Honestly, I can see why I forgot him. I probably intended to do him but didn't have an idea and was like, "I'll come back to it", then got hit with this thing called filthy liar syndrome. Old people like flowers so he'd be happy with that, something nice to add some colour to a room or something Idk I'm not old (I'M SORRY I'LL BE SERIOUS). Some of you have no grandfather OR father you just like me fr so I'll throw in for y'all that he'd be proud of you for picking out such a nice gift and acquiring it of your own accord (which you are capable of) because it must've been difficult to get past the initial conversation starter problem.
Already off that train, we're finally at Capitano. I can't say for sure cause he has two lines but tbh, he seems like he'd like it. You can have a nice pat on the head and everything cause aww you went to all that effort just for him? That deserves a nice cuddle ❤️
Columbina thinks of it like anything else you do, more confused as to what the occasion is than anything and not very sure what provoked you to do this, but she accepts it and thanks you nonetheless because she still does like it. She just also wants to know what you're doing and why, but she's satisfied with the answer that you just wanted to and cuts you off before the apologies if she doesn't like it.
What the fuck did you get Dottore flowers for?? Like, what would he do with them?? That's awkward. He'll take them off your hands, but after that, he kinda just 🧍 because what else does he do? He can look at them and sit them somewhere, but like they have no purpose. The effort is nice. He probably doesn't want these again tho unless he can use them for something. You'll get a thanks, but like he's kinda bad at hiding that he's got no idea what to do with it. Get him some flowers that are useful rather than decorative maybe?
We are at Pierro, and I think it's a bit of a mix. On the surface, he may seem like he doesn't want them and only accepts them to save your feelings but secretly treasures them ❤️ I like the idea of him being sentimental toward his s/o because something about it is just cute. It also matches the vibe, like, he's got a very closed-off exterior that you are used to that's meant to hide that adorable and undeniably vulnerable interior that really, really loves you and all of the things you do for him.

Angst train anon inspired me a bit. Usually in HCs/fanfics it's Reader who gets saved. So, imagine Reader saving Signora from being executed. Of course Reader isn't strong enough to battle electro archon herself, but they can make a distraction. Reader could also be a Fatui member or even a Harbinger, so they command fatui underlings to change at Tenshukakku (since no one was guarding it, iirc shogunate soldiers were unconscious). Reader literally doesn't care about what or who has to die if it means saving their lover
Reader would throw themselves in front of Signora to save her, even if took their life. But I don't think she'd allow them to do that, even in weakened state. She already lost her lover, there's no way she'd lose another. But Rosalyne is too hurt from battle to stop you
So, during Reader's distraction, I imagine that resistance army would come to Tenshukakku too. So, Raiden probably will turn her attention to them giving Reader and Signora opportunity to escape. While she's really happy you're here and didn't leave her behind, she's also quite angry at you for throwing yourself right in front of danger like that. While she's here - she won't let you die. It's a promise. And you promise the same thing
-🥀
THIS IS CANON LA SIGNORA SURVIVED YALL 😡 And yesss omg i love when reader saves the character instead 😫 like look at how cool we are 😤 Let's just say, you're not usually a ruthless person, but when it came to the literal life or death of your lover, nothing was off the table. Two can play that game, Almighty Shogun. The Fatui is a force to be reckoned with.
You easily fought your way to Tenshukaku where you encountered the exact moment the Traveler defeated your lover and she lay injured on the floor, the Shogun walking towards her to exact punishment. You almost didn't know what to do. You've never seen Signora so beaten before. But you only needed to distract her for a tiny bit. Magically appearing in front of the Harbinger surprised everyone in the room. Even though Signora was literally in the face of death, her voice trembled quietly for you to get out of here.
Luckily you storming and clearing out the building easily allowed access to the resistance soldiers. The Traveler had to throw themselves into battle once more to protect them. And those few seconds were all you needed to escape. You didn't mention it but Signora was relying on your shoulder heavily, mentally and physically exhausted from the duel. She's quiet in the beginning, but when you two were safe she chides you for putting yourself in danger like that. She remembers when her previous lover died protecting others. So she hurts to think of that happening again. But she holds you tightly and promises you that you won't need to do that again.
Signora recovery comfort omg ;( I can just imagine you taking care of her back in Snezhnaya and she's honestly finding it hard to face you because of her defeat. But you just have to reassure her that she's good enough for you and there's always time to get stronger ;(
Traveler and Paimon the whole time: 🧍♀️🧚♀️ (you're getting a boss battle with them next, revenge for her 😭)
#smooches talks#🥀 anon#i miss her so much :(#signora love notes <3#we need a mondstadt or sumeru event with her lore crumbs 🫠#ngl those resistance soldiers were brave as hell to charge at the shogun 😭#shogun after theres a hole in the walls of tenshukaku 😶

Note: enjoy another 50 word shitpost that grew limbs and ran from me. Fem reader, domestic in a way I'd define as crack when involving this man. Suggestive, minors dni
Dottore strode up behind you, having forgone his boots meant you were wholly unprepared when his chin came to hover over your shoulder. Firm hands held you by your hips, minimising the damage your jolt could've caused.
"Jumpy as ever, I see. How your distrust wounds me, darling," his voice was low, whispered against the shell of your ear as he pulled you a little closer.
It was impossible to resist, his hands already squeezing the soft flesh. Reverence through inquiry, thumbs already mapping the curve of your spine, dedicated to commit every minute detail to memory.
"That's not fair, I was concentrating!"
A content smile grazed his features when your hand released the strainer, wet fingers tracing his jaw. The residue was icky, but he always found himself willing to endure, chapped lips wrapping around your finger and tasting the sweetness blooming on his tongue. He chuckled when you pulled your hand back, any attempt to flick his forehead easily dodged.
"You've been slaving away all morning, join me for a little relaxation hm? It was, after all, you who instisted I take a day away from my duties here and there," His eyes fell on the counter, inspecting the mess you'd made, sticky liquid having dripped everywhere as you poured from the large pot, various flowers submerged in the water.
It had been a strange request, having a kitchen fashioned in his private quarters, but who were the rest to deny him anything? And who would he have been to deny you, having asked so sweetly for tools to spoil him?
"Zandik, you're not exactly making this easier," your voice was much too gentle for his ears, intent on smothering your protest, he brought a hand to tug at your hair before connecting his lips to yours.
Grinding against you was all too easy, willingly drowning in your honeyed presence. All too soon did you push back a little too sharply against his groin, a groan escaping him, sharp teeth nipping at your lip in warning. Only when his breath was shaky did he pull away, looking fondly at your grin, the pad of his thumb tracing over your bottom lip, barely resisting the urge to push it in.
"How about you leave this little project for later, join me for something else instead?"
It was impossible to resist leaning down to nibble at the curvature of your neck, blood flowing steadily under the skin. How easy it would be to stop, the mere thought igniting a low fury in his gut, hand all the more gentle as it cupped your throat, keeping you steady as he mouthed at you.
"Can't, I'm in the middle of straining, we'll have lemonade for weeks once I'm done. Ah- and I have to get the pie in the oven or it'll be done too late..."
"Too late?" he took a deep breath before reluctantly parting from your skin, stepping back and cocking his head.
Had he forgotten something? Surely he'd have remembered if today was a special occasion. At the very least written it down somewhere he would notice?
"The ladies are coming over in half an hour, thought it was fitting now that everyone is back for a time,"
"The ladies? Surely you're not-"
"Columbina, Arlecchino, Signora, hell even Sandrone agreed," the way you beamed almost tempered his annoyance.
He caught himself grumbling under his breath, reluctantly stepping back. So the sweets weren't even intended for him, the realisation more bitter than it should've been. He couldn't always be the object of your affection. No way he was dealing with them.
"I'll be in the lab, tell The Marionette to," he gestured vaguely around the room, "keep her hands off my things. I'll know if anything is missing or tampered with."
Remaining disgruntled was impossible when you giggled so earnestly, the sound infectious enough that his heart swelled.
"I promise I'll make it up to you tonight, a little dessert perhaps?"
He wanted to scoff at the horrendous attempt at flirting, but it was difficult to properly bite back, not with how your words still managed to make his ears burn hot as he left. You'd be the death of him.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑
pairing: childe x reader summary: in which you, the late signora's apprentice, have been assigned to take over one of the two empty harbinger roles, and childe can't help but worry about you. or alternatively, childe tries to rizz you up in the middle of la signora's funeral. wc: ~1.6k notes: more of a character study based on the "a winter night's lazzo" trailer. reader has a vision but it's only mentioned briefly.
the air is almost stifling as you look around, trying to ignore the mournful tune coming out of columbina's mouth.
the silvery metal of the coffin at the head of the room catches the light every so often, glinting just enough to catch your eye no matter how hard you try to keep your gaze elsewhere. it seems to mock, you, a reminder of the mentor who taught you so much yet told you so little. you don't miss her, of course you don't. from the very beginning, you knew you were merely another pawn for her to use; someone who she thought was talented, but ultimately disposable. that thought alone makes you feel some kind of morbid pride when you realize that you've managed to replace her.
a low hum comes from beside you, and you refuse to turn when you feel a certain redheaded harbinger lean in closer to you, nudging you with his elbow as he did so. childe lets out a small, frustrated huff when you refuse to meet his gaze, choosing instead to tilt his head down towards you. you can feel his hair brushing against your cheek and breath tickling the shell of your ear, an annoyance so great you finally break and face him, ready to tell him off. pulcinella starts speaking before you can do so.
"we are gathered here today to remember our dear comrade. in honor of her sacrifice, all work should halt for half a day as the nation mourns her passing."
your gaze is immediately drawn away from childe and towards pulcinella, your fingers twitching at his words. the action doesn't go unnoticed by childe, and he reaches over to grab your hand, pouting when you scowl and scoot away. his attention is quickly brought back to the rest of the harbingers, and he can't help but roll his eyes as someone else begins to speak.
"merely half a day?" pantalone says, chuckling lightly as he repeats pulcinella's words. you can't help the shiver that runs down your spine; pantalone's voice alone is enough to instill caution into you. "people may say that the northland bank's rue currencies are blood and tears, but mayor, even speaking as a banker that sounds a little unconscionable."
childe can't help but stare at you, watching as you nod your head absentmindedly. he's interested in your lack of emotion. sure, you're agreeing with pantalone's statement, but nothing about your demeanor suggests that you're actually upset about la signora's demise. you're just bothered with the lack of respect being given to a fallen comrade. a part of him is annoyed, all his delusions about comforting you in your time of grief dissipating in that very moment. another part of him is impressed; he can't deny that the tsaritsa really does know how to pick her harbingers.
"rosalyne died in a foreign land," arlecchino's voice is loud enough to drown out columbina's singing. "but you heartless businessmen and dignitaries always with a convenient excuse to remain in the comfort of your homeland. you couldn't hope to understand, so why don't you keep your mouths shut! we don't want to make the children cry."
there's an almost unnoticeable exchange between you and arlecchino, the two of you nodding at each other before looking away. childe's eyes don't leave your face as you sigh softly, directing one last glance at the coffin before turning your head to the side.
"hey, c'mon now," childe says, his tone a little too bright for the current situation. "even i don't think this is the right time or place for a fight."
there's a brief second in which you whip your head around to meet his eyes, mild surprise visible as you process his words. childe finds himself wondering why he spoke. (he tells himself that it's to respect la signora's memory).
"utterly risible," sandrone says. you can't help but roll your eyes, glaring at her as you try to figure out who her words were aimed at. childe frowns when he notices your attention is no longer on him, and he chooses to burrow into his scarf as he scoots closer to you. he blames it on the cold.
the conversation turns to scaramouche, and you tune out capitano and dottore as they speak. you couldn't care less about the missing harbinger; sooner or later you would catch up to him and take back what the tsaritsa wanted. columbina's singing seems to get louder, almost taunting you as you do your best to avoid looking at the coffin. you're reminded of the day you were called into the tsaritsa's audience room, her hand colder than the snezhnayan snow as she rested it on your shoulder and told you that you would be taking the place of one of the two former harbingers.
"rosalyne would be proud," the tsaritsa had said. "you should feel honored."
your fingers trace the outline of your delusion, catching on the ridges of the gilded metal that keep the gem in place. you know it's almost identical to a vision, but the gifted delusion feels much, much heavier. you think you're going crazy.
childe nudges your knee with his, drawing you out of your thoughts. you look over at him, an amused smile on your face as you notice him snuggling into his scarf. he's closer than he was earlier, you realize, his outer thigh pressed up right against yours. you pretend not to notice, instead relaxing your posture and allowing your leg to fully rest against his. you blame it on the cold.
a soft gasp leaves your lips when childe grabs your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours before pulling you off the bench you had been sitting on. you glance around, watching as all the harbingers approach rosalyne's coffin and take their respective places around it. you stare at your hand, still intertwined with childe's, before you glance up, being met with an infuriating smirk. you huff as he pulls you to his side, grip tightening slightly to make sure you stay in place beside him.
"let every worthy sacrifice be carved in ice, and with this nation endure for all time," pierro's words catch your attention, childe's hold momentarily forgotten as you stare at the first of the harbingers. "in the name of her majesty, the tsaritsa, we will seize authority form the gods. absolute peace; such is the gift from the tsaritsa, such is her majesty's benevolence. now you rest in this coffin, encased in layer upon layer of ice."
pierro pauses to stare down at the coffin, and you find yourself absentmindedly placing your free hand upon the cool metal. there's a slight shake to your hand that makes your brow furrow, unsure as to why. you're not scared, and the nervousness you feel is not nearly great enough for you to be shaking. your muddled reflection stares back at you as you keep trying to discern your emotions, and you're only brought out of your pensive state when you feel childe squeeze your hand. you glance up to meet pierro's icy gaze head-on.
"but rosalyne, i promise you, your final resting place will be the entirety of the 'old world'," pierro finishes, speaking his final words without looking away from you. there's a tense silence that follows, each of the harbingers waiting to hear your response. you glance down briefly, your previously shaky hand having gone still in the time it took pierro to speak. you feel childe fidget, your silence dragging on as a miniscule smile appears on your face. you drag your gaze up to give pierro a firm nod, receiving one in return before he turns and walks out of the room. pulcinella and pantalone are quick to follow, the latter shooting you a curious glance and letting out a low hum before disappearing.
"well, well," childe starts. "shall we go get some food and celebrate?"
at your confused glance, childe simply smiles. "you were so nervous you were shaking! but don't worry, you've proven yourself."
you pull your hand out of his grasp when he begins to walk, your face feeling warm as you realized you had been holding hands the entire time. "no thanks, i have things to do."
childe's eyes follow you as you stalk towards the door, an eyebrow raising when you pause at the exit and turn to face him once more. "and i wasn't nervous!"
"no?" childe immediately responds, a flirty lilt present in his voice as he crosses his arms. "then why were you shaking?"
"because," you start, a dangerous grin spreading across your face. you've finally figured out what you were feeling earlier. "i realized that being a harbinger doesn't make me nervous. it makes me excited."
childe huffs out a laugh as you finally leave, shaking his head in amusement before he runs a hand through his hair. he's left staring at the door until he hears arlecchino's muffled snort, and he turns to her with a warm face as he realizes that she'd heard your entire exchange.
"you don't stand a chance," she says, making her way to the exit as well. "but it'll be fun to see you try."
"fun indeed," childe mutters, glancing at rosalyne's coffin one last time. with a soft laugh, he places his hands into his coat pocket, trudging towards the door and already missing the warmth you had been providing not even ten minutes prior. "this'll be interesting."
rbs are appreciated <3

wing kjsr anon here!!
its pretty uncertain if she can fly or not. i hc that she did know the basics but after being fostered by kujou, she slowly forgot. since it is canon that she never really connected with her tengu side after being adopted.
another reason why i think there is a chance she might have known to fly is that in her friendship lv.6 story where she gets her vision.
"Though she had the strength of the tengu, she was still young and could not stand against the monsters alone, and was hurled from a cliff during the battle, her wings having been damaged prior.
Plummeting from the heights, and unable to unfurl her injured wings, she seemed fated to fall to her death."
like i think its hinted that she could have been able to fly and not fall if her wings weren't injured. i could be reading too much into it!
if she ever do gets a hangout quest, i hope we see her connect with her tengu side. maybe even visit that mountain she originally lived in. like we barely get any crumbs regarding her, even gorou got more than her 😭😭
i dont play genshin anymore and wasn't really an active player but omg i think a lot we got to lrarn about her was from her teapot interactions and the character stories.
shes so forgotten and mischaracterized that everytime i see people write her as mean and cold, i need to take a deep breath and take a walk 😞😞
i wish people started to actually learn her character than just call her a raiden simp. also bit off topic but i really hated how the inazuma archon quest ended. it pisses me off how they build so much tension just to end it like that..
signora's death was not needed imo, we barely got to even learn more about her character. and all we got about her past from were literal artifacts. and like the tension like the political complexities that happened at the time, the way we saw how people were affected after they got their vision taken away..like it was all soo well written in the beginning and then it just ended like that. inazuma was what got me into the game after liyue but also after inazuma, no quest really hit hard like how the quest where we get to see how inazuma was during the vision hunt decree.
like they wasted sm time on an npc that i could not bring myself to care about!! like i did not gaf during his death scene 😭😭 even yoimiyas quest was wasted on npcs if i remember correctly.
ok i think i rambled bit too much, but i stand by kjsr deserving more crumbs 💯💯
yeah, sara flying is a very grey lore area. i think at the very least we can assume she has the capacity to glide... god she makes me so emotionally unwell i need to give her so many comfort kisses shdlfjsdf also i agree somewhat with your view on the inazuma questline. i think the introductory patches like 2.0 and 2.1 were alright in building up to the war and establishing the weight of it, and how the sakoku decree has affected people from ritou to inazuma city to eventually watatsumi, and how neither citizen nor foreigner is spared. however, hoyo fumbled their landing so immensely to me. most criminally i think was there wasn't really any exploration of the fallout of the war and the decree. kokomi's story quest outlined the peace treaty between the shogunate and watatsumi, but that's literally it. why couldn't hoyo have included even a world quest or something about regular people trying to bounce back post war? surely inazuma's economy and technology has suffered ever since the decree was established. but no, there's not a single hint of information as to how these issues were resolved. it makes the war feel like it wasn't that big of a deal at all, since people seemed to have moved on pretty much immediately. it's a waste of incredibly rich story potential and as someone who does occasionally partake in writing, it genuinely hurts to see something miss the mark so horrendously.
as for teppei, i didn't feel any attachment to him at all, even when he died. honestly, i was more annoyed by him than anything. throughout the entire quest he was a part of, from when we meet him to when he dies, he maintains this cheery, naive energy to him. and again, hoyo's missed potential strikes again, because they could have written a bright-eyed character eager to partake in all the 'glory' of war coming to learn that in truth, there is no glory in war at all, only misery and suffering. that would've made a more compelling story, to me, instead of what we got. honestly, i was more attached to kazari then teppei, and she's a world quest character who doesn't say a single word. and onto signora... i will be crucified for this but to be truthful, i was never that attached to signora. yes she was very attractive when kicking venti in the guts but beyond that... she never stood out to me. i started actively disliking signora when she fucked sara up so badly we walk into tenshukaku and see her barely alive on the floor. after i saw that it was case closed for signora in my book lmao, if the shogun hadn't offed her EYE would've hsdlfjdhfljdf i fear signora will never find my forgiveness for that crime (not that it matters since she's-- *GUNSHOTS*)
anyway. one last thing about inazuma story quest before i go that has always bugged me immensely. the whole war between watatsumi and the shogunate... it's a complete farce when you think about it. there's genuinely no way the rebellion could have ever hoped to succeed if the traveler didn't show up. and i know that sounds obvious, but listen: the rebellion only exists because the shogun permits it to. realistically, if she so desired, the shogun could have sunk watatsumi in one blow. she may no longer have her gnosis in her possession, but a god is a god, and watatsumi is a godless land. i think the shogun would have been completely content turning the war into a battle of attrition, and in that sense, she has already won from the start. after all, who could possibly outlast eternity? this set the grounds for some absolutely crazy politicking and scheming that i would have absolutely LOVED to see... but we all know how the story quest ended up being so :/
