While writing, I got a bunch of Thoughts tm about the Companion Support group, so short rant coming up about it. it’s all pretty messy etc, pls don’t hold any of this against me lol, it’s all just kind of random brain junk i had while writing

don’t take this too seriously these are just scribbled thoughts that came to me while writing: As much as I do think the companion support group is hilarious, it kind of feels weird to me? Like I get that after seeing all that you might need some therapy that you can’t exactly get from a regular therapist, but from the doctor's pov, that’s gotta feel pretty shitty? Especially when you consider the Doctor already feels bad about ‘endangering’ people and the necessary risk that comes with adventuring, something we got into a lot with Eleven. Like, could you imagine already feeling that way and then finding out some of your previous friends have started a support group about you?? I think Donna would be all for therapy etc, but I think that Donna especially (and some of the other companions) sort of feel more of a duty to take care of the Doctor, and would never put that kind of guilt on him, y’know? Like the companion support group feels like a ‘we were kidnapped against our will and now need therapy’ which is so different to the attitude Donna has, which is much more of ‘of course there’s risk, but look at all the amazing stuff I’m getting to do!! And he’s my best friend!’ She would never want the Doctor to feel guilty about that, and this is nicely wrapped up with her taking 14 into her home. She loves her alien - adventuring or not - and literally is there for him, for better or for worse. Like, I can’t imagine Rose going to that meeting lol. Or maybe they’d be fine with it and this is just me projecting?? Anyway, this is NOT to disparage the fam, I think they’re tons of fun, and the companion support group is genuinely pretty funny, idk this is just a lot of thoughts that came out. Note to the note: the one exception is Martha. That girl deserves all the support groups and financial compensation.

I know how it sounds at first, but I really gotta feel bad for the boys that sacrificed edwin; I mean even the term “sacrificed edwin” paints them in a more sinister light than they really deserve– considering that wasn’t really, actually their intention.

they were bullies, they were homophobic (and/or were self loathing gay boys themselves taking it out on edwin, or were equally likely peer pressured into acting a certain way), they planned something stupid and mean to do to an innocent, anxious boy with the goal of scaring the shit out of him, all because he was effeminate and an easy target. but they didn’t know or expect any of the ritual stuff to be real. they were all laughing and joking during the ritual because it was just that to them– a joke. a cruel joke, but a joke.

teenagers can be mean and stupid and they usually regret it as adults and grow out of it / grow from it. they were stifled the chance to grow out of it, at least while alive. none of those boys deserved to be instakilled and sent to hell; they’re really not that much less deserving than edwin himself. they were all just kids, after all.

I have a TMA Time Travel(ish)AU that exists only in my head and I like to call the "Informed Consent Verse" where full Hunt Daisy suceeds in killing Jon during the Apocalipse and both the Eye and the Web aren't pleased.

Cue to thirteen yo little Jonathan Sims, ten years old Anabelle Cane and tweenty two years old Alice "Daisy" Tonner reciving memories of the end of the world and the events that caused it. At first Jon doesn't want to believe it, specially as the knowledge and memories fades to random flashbacks and small thoughs that don't belong to himself but to the Archivist (cannon Jon) That is until he compells someone. At the same time little Anabelle makes the mistake of deciding to meet the boy she has to turn into the antichirst.

Against the Archivist voice and moved by the realization that Annabelle's Becoming was way closer to his than to Jonah's, Jon offers her the option to try to find a way to not fully Become a second time. Annabelle is afraid but this time the Mother is not all she has and she can see her older self is more the Mother than it is her. Having all the info she chooses to try. Both the Archivist and the Web Agent (cannom Annabelle) think this is a bad idea (for oposing reasons) but Jon and Anna don't care. They ended one world together, now they are going to save one (Jon isn't Jon without a guilty complex). Gerard Keay and Agnes Montaugue sort of adopt the Not Antichirst and the Not Devil.

On the background, fully beliving her one friend and the love of her life (Jon and Basira) are both happier without her, Daisy decides to correct other wrongs and help her victims and acidentally creates a "Hunt Recovery Support Group" (don't call it a cult) with Julia and Trevor.

i want them to be involuntary friends. She is now Lady Crane and surrounded by those who await to sink their teeth into her, just as they done before when she was younger, only now with some faux respectability given her new title.

Finding friends is hard, or maybe because she makes it so given the last time, so when Eloise Bridgerton starts making conversation with her Marina can't help but study it with a sharp eye. It's not the first time someone had tried to get in her good graces, throwing in an overly kind compliment that, once upon a time, would have made her heart soar, but now only makes her alert. She was in no mood for a repeat of her first season nor the events that followed. But Eloise keeps pushing, with all her stubbornness and lack of filter, hurriedly rushing to apologize whenever she makes a misstep before standing her ground the next. While most people, when they look to Marina, see an outcast, a woman who got off lucky but has no right to the title of her late husband, Eloise sees a woman subjected to the same harshness of their world that many others had not been so fortunate enough to withstand. Eloise sees someone who could inspire.

Marina appreciates her honesty and becomes more responsive towards the younger Bridgerton girl, indulging her from time to time. And, maybe, because it was nice to have a friend. Whenever Colin comes towards her, Eloise is always there to divert his attention, and whenever Marina attempts to seek out Penelope, the girl who always seems to lurk near the pair, Eloise quickly steers in the other direction with a cold look in response to the youngest Featherington.

It isn't long before a few other young girls flock to the pair, some well off while others are clinging to what they have left. They're all different from one another, but have a shared desire. They don't want a part in the ways of the Ton nor to lose their liberties, but fear the consequences if they do (for how could they remain standing on their own if things don't work out?) Marina is someone they respect. At first, she doesn't see it that way and quickly tries to wave them off, as she wants no part in some girls' rebellious behavior when she has her own children to think of, until she sees how desperate they are. How much she inspires them. How alone they are.

How much they remind her of herself.

Marina doesn't necessarily know how it starts, as it's a tedious process with how some members of society still see her as tarnished and don't want their children near her, but they work it out. Young girls flock to her home, seeking a break from the stresses of the Ton and their expectations, and leave with more knowledge of their self-worth and friendships that they've never had before. It doesn't start out as much, but it grows into something more than Marina could expect (or hope for).

It's also a surprise when the youngest Sharma sister stops by her door, all with a blinding smile and hopes to be accepted given the fact that society views her as a pariah and mocks her when they think she cannot hear. For it was her that ran away from the Viscount during their would be wedding, so she must be the problem. Marina sees that she lacks friends as well or, more so, a friend that can understand her grief. How could she turn her away? Answer: she never would.

What i find very weird is how the Koa stans come at the AB fandom with this quasi above it all, moral righteous superiority and just assume we see them that way too. And the way they inform you how Anne "wasn't perfect" and act like that's a killer blow and should destroy your interest in her. Um? No one is perfect? So why is Anne of all people not being perfect so important when it's literally something she could never be? Why the hell is Anne held to these impossible standards and then judged for not meeting them? Were Koa and Mary perfect? No way, but do you ever hear stans admit it? Do they even admit they were ever wrong at all?

So. We all agree he never loved Sibyl, right? He refuses to think of her as a human being. To him, she is all the characters she plays and nothing more. As such, he can pretend she is whatever he wants. I'd say he's not even attracted to women because he only gained a greater interest in her when he saw her cross-dressing. It's so blatant.

He brags about her talent because it reflects well on him. Look at him! He's about to marry the most talented woman ever! Her skill, in his eyes, has the sole purpose of glorifying himself. So, when she fails to act (in front of his friends, no less!), she humiliates him. Never mind the fact that if she continues on acting badly, she will be denied work. No, all he cares about is his useless pride. He was going to raise her above her station and she repays him like this?! With one night of poor acting. God forbid if they had gotten married and she failed to keep up the sweetness of Ophelia or Juliet at all times of the day.

Meanwhile, her poor acting was meant as an act of flattery. The stories she's been raised with are all nothing compared to their love! But Dorian doesn't fucking care. Dorian doesn't want someone who is genuine or values truthfulness, he wants someone who can flatter him, and it is unflattering to him to be told he ruins art.
