I've listened to over 300 new releases from over 100 different kpop artists this year so picking my top songs felt like an mnet-level survival show 😭 the irony that i never watched Boys Planet AND one of the songs is literally a Peak Time song is not lost on me ! 🙃 but i wanted to pick a trendy format so here we are 😈 anyways i included albums instead of songs that didn't make the cut since there's too many honorable mention songs that i have had on repeat this year 😭 but most of them are in these 22 albums (oo-li is on here twice and istj isn't out yet !)

alexandra — this is my fav out of the three like it’s so ‘i’ll walk you home and linger by the doorway lovestruck bc we just spent the whole night talking’ vibes 😭 i bet sunarin will listen to this a lot lot (maybe try and learn it on the guitar for u..but he keeps that to himself first lawl) HOWEVER…this made me think of iwa and kuroo like JUST IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL for a love at first sight to friends to lovers and they’re just the biggest Dorks about it O___O

Music discovery together, you got me to look this guy up and I really like the music!!  I am almost completely unable to pick the lyrics out of any new song by ear, so I am going off vibes and instrumental alone, but I like it.  He’s got a restful, peaceful vibe, which now I say that, does describe me down to a T.  (I think?  idk, other people can weigh in).

Here’s some random personal lore for you - one of the last times G and I went on a longer holiday we actually went to Lake St Clair, and now we have a photo of me standing on a rock in the middle of my namesake-lake.  It is about 3 degrees and I am beaming.

another album that came out within the last 2 weeks i listened to on day of release was Billie Eilish's HIT ME HARD AND SOFT which i was also excited to hear but is also just. ok. especially in contrast to an album like When we all fall asleep where do we go which i think is an insanely memorable debut LP. i never heard Happier than ever all the way through but i should. Recently heard Kendrick Lamar's DAMN for the first time which i know i am very late to but that was instantly more memorable than both the new tøp and new billie albums and i'm glad i now understand the well-deserved hype for that one, it's insanely good
