but yes !! there’s definitely a vibe difference when it comes to the sleepover dynamic between the two. with matt, it’s a calmer vibe; lego sets and puzzles like you said, also followed up by movies ( specifically romcoms because he loves em ). i can alsooooo see you guys doing little artsy craftsy stuff like wax panting, regular painting, playing with clay, etc etc.

with chris, there’s a more chaotic vibe. like mentioned, you guys are gonna be doing some gaming ( mario kart because he’s a mk fein ). if you don’t have a nintendo switch he’s def bringing his over !! multitasking; baking cookies or other sweet treats while you both are preoccupied with seeing who can cross the finish line first and you end up burning the snacks ( shaking my head, laugh out loud ). he can go rounds—of gaming of course. also, cartoon marathons !! spongebob, etc.

Hello! So very sorry for answering only now, I've sort of abandonned the blog as life got busy on my end (I do plan on coming back, though!) To answer your question, I personally read it all when the physical volumes come out as I've been collecting them for over a decade now. (I'm french so we get the volumes earlier than the peeps in America). However, you can find all the chapters here: mangadex

The kougeki team has been translating the newest chapters for the past few years now. However they are severly understaffed and need all the help they can get!

Lastly, if you are wondering where I get all the panels for my blog, I mainly use the ones provided by Viz as they upload good quality scans (their translations are shit tho so I wouldn't count on them for that)

do you think dating younger sam would be different than dating older sam?

i do! not 100% but definitely to an extent. biggest reason that comes to mind is the cage tbh. sam was obviously already traumatized and fucked up before but he was tortured for like.... at least over a hundred years by lucifer so.... i'd safely say he's a different person after that, and therefore dating him is different. and we could go into a lot there, but also in general! i think dating a younger version versus an older version of literally anyone is going to be different.

as we age, we change! and that changes our relationships with people/how we are in relationships. i don't think it changes everything by any stretch. but our experiences and the way we deal with them changes us i think! given that older sam has had so many big things happen to him, it's bound to change the way he is in general and the way he is in relationships.

he's still very sweet, loyal, and committed. in general sam isn't huge on hookups and stuff, he tries for long term relationships, but i think he wants even more to settle down as he gets older in a way. but he feels like he can't ofc lol. but in baby season 12 ep 4, he basically admits that he's thought about settling with a hunter, and he tries to give his number to the woman he sleeps with and she's like lmao huh. younger sam seemed more chill with a few little casual things, though he obviously wasn't playing around or anything. he was also just more willing to engage with someone! he had a lot more love interests who he actually kissed or did something with the earlier seasons. older sam is definitely a lot more careful and hesitant i think.

For Aether

For him it'll depend on two main things, whether he's the one who will become the Abyss prince later down the line or the traveler. I'll present ideas for both:

✧ In the first route, I think we can go all the way during Khaenri'ah days when he was "summoned" and venerated as the prince of Khaenri'ah. As per my own take of Dain, he would be highly suspicious of him because of this incipient obsessions part of the civilization has with the Abyss, Aether included in this. Dain won't consider him a prince, but he'll give him the respect expected from him. As the captain of the Black Serpent Knights, I wager that he would have ample opportunities to meet Aether and even act as his personal guard. I'm aware that for this we'd need some previous discussion in regards of how we perceive Khaenri'ah so we don't go entirely blindly either in a vastly unexplored territory for now.

Following the destruction, Dain wouldn't blame Aether for being unable to save the nation despite being revered as a sign of hope to bring betterment to the nation and would actually empathize with him for being put in a position that maybe he didn't even want to have. During the duration of their journey across the nations in search of their destiny, I picture it to be heavy in dark and heavy moments where they are dealing with their own circumstances + being thrown in situations where they have no other choice but to fight their way for survival and, at least for Dain, he would want to help the other nations for multiple reasons.

Lastly and leading to the moment they go their separate ways up until the present, their relationship would certainly be sore and Dain has no intentions to yield in his pursuit to frustrate the Abyss Order plans, no matter how good intentioned Aether might be.

✦ As the Traveler I think we could expand more on what we're given, it'll be in a way easier as we already have some guideline to follow and there is actual room for exploring further in what we've seen. I don't have much more to say on the matter as it's more self-explanatory based on the AQs they crossed paths.

As my personal preference, I'd lean more towards the first path because it's more unexplored in my end and also less seen overall from my own observations. However, I also noticed that this is request only, so I'll leave that to you to determine if you'd like to give it a try! We could also do multiple threads if you'd like, I don't really mind.

For Halfdan

I can't thank you enough for suggesting this for Halfdan too because I've been dying to interact with one for ages >< I would love specially to see how they fare in Khaenri'ah days and I would also love to hear your thoughts on Halfdan's mindset in regards of the lingering obsessions, the Abyss, the highly likely strangeness in the society with those that revere the Abyss, everything, truly! I have plenty of ideas about Khaenri'ah that I plan to write about soon and would love to share with you in turn.

I think we could also do things in the present as seen in the Chasm but more expanded and more a thing between them alone, albeit more bound to restrictions given the circumstances he's under unless you have a different twist for him in that regard.

ALOE: how does your muse handle grief?

pretty poorly, all things considered. while Midna has a capacity to push through it and numb those feelings by throwing herself into work, that sort of energy will only sustain her for a certain amount of time. after that drive has either emptied itself or has been interrupted, the twili will fall into a moody state and often hole herself away in her room for days at a time.

she can get incredibly snippy and harsh towards others, even over the slightest infraction, and can be quite a force of nature to tangle with if pushed to leave her comfort zone too early. depending on what has caused her grief, Midna has different methods with which to try and sort herself out. sometimes it can be putting her nose to the grindstone and work on things in total seclusion, and other times she may find spending quiet time with shadowed forms made of her own magic to be a better way to comfort herself. she doesn’t like to allow herself to cry during these moments either, even in times of complete loneliness, and will burn herself out by practicing magic instead of expressing her pain by any other means.

AMARYLLIS: what is something or someone that your muse takes pride in? how do they express that pride?

Midna has always been a proud creature since birth, especially in regards to her abilities. she was more or less humbled for a time during her youth when she discovered her innate talents could only get her so far, but when given guidance and new methods with which she could attain further control and power, Midna took the chance by the reins and ran with it. since then she has challenged herself ( and, by extension, certain others ) to grow stronger and get better at the magics her people have passed down from generation to generation.

while not a well practiced in all things her people have come to master, Midna knows she still stands out as a prime example of what a member of the twili tribe can do with their abilities. additionally, given that she was only made stronger by ascending the throne, she is very much willing and aware of what she can and cannot do. casual examples of this include her ability to float with nary a thought, or handle ancient relics from her tribe with very little issue. she also has access to a vast array of texts and materials to practice and read over whenever she pleases, though those opportunities can be cut short many a time due to other responsibilities.

more overt displays of this power come into play when aiding her citizens with joining or helping rebuild after Zant’s insurrection. she has put much of her time and effort into helping lift structures, physically heal her people by offering her essence, and giving whatever energy she can to reestablish a semblance of normalcy after the war. to add even further onto this, since her merging with Zelda she has become the first of her kind that can live comfortably in the light, and by extension in the light realm, which has allowed her access to other types of magics she herself doesn’t even fully understand yet. ahe has kept these abilities more to herself since her return however, as she doesn’t have much time to practice or figure out what they even are.

YES TO BOTH OF THESE!!! It's pretty much established at this point that Rorschach and Khare are as besties as it gets. He's beaten the SHIT out of people who've harrassed her, made sure she gets to work (and back home) in one piece so she doesn't get mugged (or worse!) He's gotten hurt because of it, ending up in hospital and in return she's kept his identity a secret, squirreling away his mask and jacket so that nobody could tell who he was when getting his injuries treated. Khare loves Rorschach as much as it gets, considering him to be a good friend. Actually the only friend she's got at this point, and it means so much to her because even though he's not the easiest person to get along with, it makes living in America that much less lonely, less daunting. She's taken a bullet for him (and would gladly do it again without a second thought!) In a way, it's funny because although these two have been through some deeply traumatic experiences, they've almost certainly not opened up to one another just yet barring the occasional comment neither will push the other to talk about? They're snippets of information about things neither person is ready to divulge, if ever, but on some level they understand, and communicate through all sorts of ways without really needing to speak. They're both hurt people who are more patient and understanding with each other than anybody else is willing to be and for that I adore these two immensely. ♥

The arrival of another season, as ever prompts the arrival of another letter, etched once again in a familiar slanted hand. She’s never quite sure how the letters get to Dainsleif; or if indeed they always do, but the sentiment is there, as often as she can spare it. Perhaps now more than ever, given the changing world in which they both seem to presently reside. 

To the man cloaked in starlight, 

Can you believe it’s three months since I last wrote to you? It seems to be a tradition now to reach out whenever the seasons change; a familiar sort of comfort amid the constant ebb and flow of time. Are you keeping well? I hope so at least, most ardently. Summer can be a cruel mistress otherwise, when heat and allergies combine to cause a potent mix of sneezes and watering eyes. My Cavalry Captain is suffering a little at the moment with the influx of dandelion pollen, but I hope wherever you are, the climate is a little kinder. 

Although it’s a while since we last spoke, I still think of you often. Near daily in fact, I’ll stumble across something and find myself curious as to whether you’d like it, or if it would spark the same emotion in you as it does in me. A song here, or a flower there. The stars in particular forever seem to resonate with my memory of you. So much so, I find myself working later and later, just to catch a glimpse of those twinkling beacons overhead to remind myself we’re under the same sky, no matter the distance. 

Things here are ticking away as usual, though I must admit things have been a little busier as of late. There’s something stirring to the North, although I can’t be sure what, and abyssal activity continues to be on the rise. I know it doesn’t need to be said, but please stay safe wherever you are and I shall endeavour to do the same. There’s still a long time between now and the next lantern rite and I’d very much like us both to remain in one piece until then. So consider this a pact. Sealed in an ambiguous lipstick stain (a silly homage to when we first met) and a sigil of the Lord Barbatos himself. 

In your last letter, you mentioned a loss of self. I wasn’t sure I understood it then, but I think I do now. There are things in life we sacrifice for the greater good. Parts of ourself that have been chipped away by time or circumstance, or willingly surrendered or buried, a price paid to balance some cosmic debt beyond our control. If these letters can give you even a small snippet of yourself back, I will consider it an honour. Since if truth be told, your replies have done much the same for me. 

It sounds silly now that I write it down and I don’t wish to scare you away with too many declarations of sentiment. But know that I thank the archons every day that they brought you into my life.

Has it truly been three months? Time is something of a myth to me, now. Whether a week has passed or a month, I can hardly keep track; I only know that, regardless, I look forward to your writings. They are a pleasant repose from the harshness of reality.

I am as well as one can be. Thankfully, nature and her pettiness does not affect me, but I send well wishes to your ailing Cavalry Captain. Do encourage him to take care of himself, both for his own good, as well as yours; I am certain you would not hesitate to take on his work as your own, should he be indisposed, and your detailing of your workload has become repetitive, in that regard.

You should really take better care of yourself . . . yet, you are hardheaded and stubborn, so I will continue to wish for your health and well-being whilst I am not there to look after you. I will endeavor to look after myself if you do the same. It would be most . . . upsetting, were the next year to come around and only one of us is in attendance to what has become a much adored tradition. It . . . you . . . are the only thing I have to look forward to.

Please, do not take that away from me.

Perhaps, by then, I will be able to tell you more about myself. I find the desire to do so ever-growing with each letter I receive from you, but I fear that your reaction may be unfavorable. It is easier to put words to paper, than to speak them . . . at least, for me, it is. I wonder if you would look at me differently if you knew who, and what, I am. If I may very well ruin this strange, albeit comforting arrangement we have. You are kind and patient, and I know I am foolish in my fears, but this is a weight I have carried for far longer than fathomable.

My guess for Leonora: Somehow at some point they get together briefly and Nora gets pregnant. She realizes or decides that she and Leon have no future as she cannot see herself as Queen of Astor and frankly doesn’t want to deal with Maximus (we are already seeing this play out now based on the recent post). Nora never tells Leon’s she’s pregnant! She possibly marries someone else and passes off the kid as his or maybe ends up a single mom. Either way she leaves Windasia/Astor and raises her kid (a boy) off the radar. Leon fulfills his royal duties and gets married (maybe to Astrid maybe to someone else) and he has his three kids that we’ve seen. Something happens to Nora (Maximus or someone else has her killed) and her son ends up an orphan. Before she dies though Nora had left behind enough info for her son to know that Leon was his biological dad. Nora’s son blame Leon and his family for his mothers death and he sets out on a path of revenge wanting to take down Leon from the inside. Or another avenue is that he’s technically Leon’s eldest child and wants to stake a claim to the Astoria throne (not sure how the succession laws work there regarding illegitimate children but bear with me here) Nora’s son turns out to be none other than the MYSTERY NYE MAN that Miss Raeliana Frederick met! We saw when you first teased the post two years ago that this man is a dead ringer for Leon!! But Miss Rae didn’t know who he was? How would that be possible since she’s grown up with Leon’s three legitimate children?! Unless he’s Leon’s secret child that he never knew about! Rae would end up falling for Leon’s mysterious bad boy son in a story that would unite Leon and Alfie’s families but not in a way that either would have planned or been happy about. It’s lots of drama and it drives plot lines for two different generations. I’m probably extremely off the mark but whatever! 🤣
