BALI - is a tiny out of 17,508 islands of Indonesia 🇮🇩 and yet locals has big hearts, unique stories, colorful culture, iconic landmarks and beautiful beaches that will calms your restless soul.

I’m sharing you my 5 Days (October 14-19, 2017) Bali, Indonesia Itinerary, estimated expenses, tips, trivias and travel guides.

Day 0

12:00 PM: Flight from Bangkok to Bali

5:20 PM: Arrives at Ngurai International Airport

(Note: Bali, Indonesia is 1 hour ahead of Bangkok)

Work is over! Time for some WERK!

6:00 PM: Immigration

6:10 PM: Rent a Taxi - Land travel from Denpasar to Ubud (350K Rupiah)

6:30 PM: Exchange Money (USD to Rupiah)

7:00 PM: Dinner Time (A must try Local Foods)

BEBEK BETUTU is a roasted duck with Balinese spices, urab vegetables, snake skin friut pickle, steamed rice and chili sambal.

8:00 PM: Check in at Lotus Villa Ubud Hotel (688,500 Rupiah/ 2 nights)

Day 1

8:00AM - 8:00PM: Rent a day tour Taxi (400K Rupiah)

(Note: Bring your own sarong)

Goa Gajah (15K Rupiah)

GOA GAJAH (The Elephant Cave) was built as a sanctuary. The face carving at the entrance of the cave was made to ward off evil spirits.

Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring (15K Rupiah)

I love places that make you realize how tiny you and your problems are. ✈️💋❤️

Pura Tirta Empul (15K Rupiah)

One of the highlights of my Bali trip was to experience the “MELUKAT” a body, mind and soul ritual purification done in the great bath were holy spring water is freely flowing in Pura Tirta Empul

Kopi Luwak Farm (Free Admission)

KOPI ☕️ LUWAK - the most expensive coffee I ever tasted here in Bali - 1 cup is worth 50,000 Rupiah 💸 but who am I to complain? The process in making this special coffee is so bizarre for it is from the FECES (yes! You read it right, it is a 💩) of the animal called by the locals LUWAK 🐺 (asian palm civet). It sounds gross but I know that I will regret if I wont try this one time experience. After all, This poop 💩 coffee ☕️ taste great!

Day 2

8:00AM - 8:00PM: Rent a day tour Taxi (400K Rupiah)

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan (50K Rupiah)

One of my favorite places in Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩Selamat Datang di Pura Ulun Danu Beratan.

The Swing at Danau Tamblingan (20K Rupiah)

It flies up and makes you breathless, then from the very peak of delight you fall down into the void. The higher you swing, the harder to stop!

Tanah Lot (60K Rupiah)

8:00 PM: Check in at Pura Padma Hotel (520K Rupiah/ 1 night)

Day 3

8:00AM - 8:00PM: Rent a day tour Taxi (400K Rupiah)

Seminyak

is a beach resort area at the southern end of Bali, Indonesia, with many luxury hotels, villas and spas, as well as high-end shopping and restaurants.

8:00 PM: Check in at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort and Spa Hotel (1.5M Rupiah/ 2 nights)

Day 4

- we decided to stay in the Hotel and enjoy its amenities.

- free buffet breakfast

- hitting the fitness gym (no excuse)

- relaxing by the pool with a good balinese massage (80K - 100K Rupiah)

- be amaze of the beautiful sunset at jimbaran bay beach

Majestic!

Day 5

7:00AM: Wake up Call!

8:00AM: Buffet Breakfast

8:30AM: Check-out!

9:00AM: Off to airport (Taxi Rent: 100K Rupiah)

12:00PM: Flight Bali to BKK

Tips:

It’s important that you know how to bargain to the Taxi Drivers and vendors.

It’s better if you exchange USD to Rupiah outside the airport to get much higher rate.

If Internet is Life and planning to buy a SIM CARD. Then, buy it outside the airport, you can get it for 45K Rupiah.

This itinerary had really strict budget, sometimes we buy instant noodles (seedap) at mini mart for 2,600 Rupiah and cook it in the hotel. (Seedap is a Bahasa word for Delicious)

We also tried Indonesia Street foods for 20K Rupiah only and its not that bad at all.

Use some booking apps to get cheap air tickets and Hotel rates

Its good if you travel with other people so that you can share the expenses. In this trip, I’m with a friend so some expenses were divided especially the hotel and taxi fare.
