Perhaps, maybe, this was some twisted way to get Knives to change. Another plan, another power struggle. Unlikely... But giving up on ideals is not a concept Zazie can understand easily. Giving up on those he loved-- or seemed to at first. Now travelling at the request of his brother...

Zazie can't force themselves to stop staring, to stop looking at the independent as if he were only a single move away from revealing his colors. Maybe it's just wishful thinking - they don't want their newest little hive to get hurt, but to see Vash back smiling and happy the way he was... He was so much fun to watch through insect eyes, especially in the earlier days. To tease Knives with snippets of what the other was doing. This feels so...

"Wrong," they finally mutter, shaking their head. "You shouldn't be here."

Their tone is quiet. It's admittedly not something they realize they've said out loud - but the echo of the whole hivemind processing this new information. Something they can't shake, feeling that this is so incredibly wrong.
