Going through the ravaged facility had revealed Mariah’s true power. She required numerous explosives to be taken down. The soldiers figured at least a tank shell would do the trick. The loss of life then wasn’t as bad as the loss of two of the facilities best. 

The bodies being found were later. The teenager’s body was first discovered. His signal had spared all of their lives and seemed to distract SCP-1225 as he was ripped to pieces, the only thing left intact being his icon jacket, a true leather piece that Mariah seemed to not be able to tear apart. If only he knew, his fate could have been different. She seemed to be eating away at him as she remained stuck in the building for about a week. His body was quickly moved, and a coffin was ordered. Tears had to be held back as the facility started to rebuild and figure out what had happened.

Another body was found blown up under rubble, and the cameras captured the death and heroism of the other member lost. If not for the sacrifice, SCP-1225 would not have been weakened enough to be defeated. The soldiers wanted answers as they watched what had happened the past days as Mariah had seemingly eaten away at their bodies while being trapped.

More questions were left, and a sense of rage grew among the facility, but it was time to rebuild and grieve as they had to prepare for anything in a weakened state.

Eventually they figured out what had happened as they figured out when 12-25 broke out and rewinded the tapes.

Someone had tampered with the machine before Tobias entered the office. While he napped, the machine went haywire and had begun to thaw the ice. While they knew how, the why remained a mystery until a few days later. But a large ceremony had been planned, and a funeral on the fourth was in the works.

it is currently unknown what will happen if an organism is not offered to 1225 at this point, as the villagers have threatened to kill any SCP foundation personnel who try and push the creature's boundaries. After offerings have been made, Christmas night, a noise sounding like a large old man saying the words “ bong bing bong” can be heard. It is theorized that this is actually 1225’s voice. The next morning, all the toys that were taken by 1225-1 will be outside their owner's homes, with no change save for being wet from snow. Anyone who had not provided a toy previously to 1225-1, will have gone missing, and their toy will not be returned. The foundation is currently investigating where these missing people go, but all attempts so far have proven unsuccessful. The cycle will repeat each year and seems to have been occurring for at least 50 years.

It started as a normal day. Me and a few comrades were talking about the newest creature that came into the facility. It was no one other than SCP-1225, Mariah Carrey. She was transferred to us before going over to New York. She was in a deep freeze in quarantine.

"Thanksgiving!"

"It's Turkey- I mean Tobias!"

"Yea yea! Anyways, you will be watching after 12-25 today."

"Thanks for the promotion boss! Won't let you down!" I put my hand next to my forehead before doing a terrible salute and marching off to my station. Watching and monitoring the creature wasn't bad but it was getting tiring, maybe a little nap couldn't hur….

I awoke to a cracking sound and began checking the machines near the quarantine machine. Red flashed across it, and cracks of electricity, it must have been tampered with. By who? Unknown. But this wasn't a time for questions. I sprang to my feet and locked the doors outside my office with myself on the outside and Mariah inside. Moving quickly, I began to walk away from the doors and took out my walkie-talkie. So many questions but not enough time. Mariah was set to thaw out on December 20th. That's when I heard her voice. Her angelic yet horrific voice had cracked the ice, and she began violently attempting to get out.

It didn't matter what happened now, I had to get others out. I went to the end of the hallway, D-hall hallway, and filled the switch before turning on my walkie talkie and alerting everyone.

"Code red and green! Code red and green! She has escaped and is loose within the building. Get to shelter!" I repeated the same words over and over onto many frequencies, trying to alert as many as I could. The lights were shut off, as Mariah's vision weakened in the dark, but the green lights I could do without. I could hear her slowly getting closer as she started to sing. That annoying Christmas tune, it was still November! I knew, though, that many were still in danger and began to run to find the control panel. I began to question if I was going to make it out alive, but it wasn't my priority as others came before me.

Finally, I got to the control panel. It was at the end of D-Hall. I locked the door and pushed things in front before hacking into the control panel, thank god I had learned how to do these type of things years ago, funny how that is exactly what got me hired. But now wasn't a time for flashbacks. Mariah had clawed through the glass and was trying to open the door, but I had already spread my warning far and wide. I was for sure a goner, but I knew there would always be stragglers. The facility was quite large. I went out through the other exit from the other side with the fast clacks of high heels after me. I was halfway through D-hall when I could feel her cold nails slash through my nails. and like that, I knew I was a goner. She slashed through my flesh, and with my dying breaths, I closed my eyes, accepting my fate.

All she wanted for Christmas was me, and she got her gift early.

Her screech was the last thing I could hear before a sharp pain in my chest was all felt afterward.

SCP 1225

Description: SCP 1225 also known as “the Christmas creature” is a large white four-legged anomalous creature with two glowing red eyes. 1225 is covered in short white fur, like that of a polar bear, it is thought that this fur is what enables it to stand in temperatures well below freezing without moving an inch. 1225 possess anomalous traits with its gaze, although no villagers have looked directly at it, they have warnings from a folk tale that tells them [redacted]. 1225 also is rumored to be able to see through the eyes of any dog in the village.

Before the arrival of 1225, two other entities must arrive, the “Christmas boy” hear after referenced to as SCP 1225-1, appears 2 days before Christmas outside of every single villager's door. It is unknown if there is more than one instance of 1225-1, or if it is just extremely fast. 1225-1 is a humanoid figure, dressed in the winter clothes of a young boy, upon further inspection, its skin is pale, and its face looks to be drawn with a marker, sporting Two circular eyes, and a line for a mouth. 1225-1 upon appearing at a door, will ask all those inside for their “favorite toy”. if a toy is not given, or if the toy given is not the “favorite “, 1225-1 will become restless, demanding a toy. If no toy is provided at this time, it will disappear and should be treated as a containment breach. personnel are to evacuate everyone from the village, and mobile task force beta 5 will be sent in to neutralize the threat. After receiving a toy, 1225-1 will disappear. Nothing else will happen that day, and everyone seems to go on with their lives. The next day ( 1 day before Christmas) a red bird of unknown species and origin, will appear in every household in the village. This bird, coded SCP 1225-2, is referred to by the village as “the asking bird”. 1225-2 upon appearing, will begin to ask random questions to the residents of the household. 1225-2 possesses the ability to tell truths from lies and will remind each household of this fact before it begins asking questions. It is advised to not lie to 1225-2 unless you wish to face [ redacted]. If lies are told to 1225-2 it will correct the person, giving the correct information, and remarking how “you weren’t supposed to lie”. After 8 hours of questioning, 1225-2 will slowly fade out of existence. The next morning ( Christmas morning) every person In the village will wake up to a red letter on their face. This letter itself has no anomalous properties, aside from the fact that it materializes on the face of a person 7.56 seconds before they wake up. The letters are called “Christmas warnings” by the villagers and will be referred to as SCP 1225-A as they are thought to be a part of 1225. 1225-A will provide instructions of how to climb a hill, as well as threats of harm to the toys given if everyone does not comply. Approximately 3 seconds after the last letter has been read, 1225 will emit a high-pitched shrieking sound, from stop the highest hill in the nearby area. Offerings to 1225 are to be gathered by each person, villager and foundation personnel, and a climb must be made to the top of the hill 1225 resides on. When reaching exactly 23.45 meters from the top of the hill, all living beings must turn and walk backwards the rest of the way up the hill, and use a mirror to look at 1225, failure to do so results in total memory replacement, resulting in victims thinking they are someone or something entirely different than who they are. It is unknown if 1225’s eyes or total being are responsible for the memory replacement, as every attempt to approach it from behind had failed. 1225 can move its eyes anywhere around its Body, to always have visual on the approaching organisms. Next to 1225 two portals will appear, one blue and one red, referred to as SCP 1225-4 and SCP 1225-3 respectively. 1225-4 is used to accept offerings made to 1225 and will reject any matter it decides is not an offering. It is unclear the criteria that 1225-4 uses to determine what is acceptable. 1225-3 will accept any matter put inside of it, testing has confirmed it leads to a new dimension, however testing on 1225-3 has been put on standby after 12 D-class personnel failed to return from an expedition inside. If offerings are placed in 1225-3, the site is to be considered compromised, and all personnel must evacuate besides 1 D-class. Within 15 minutes of 1225-3 receiving an offering, all living organisms in the village will turn to non-anomalous snow. If no organisms are destroyed this way, 1225 will emit another shriek, and a responding shriek will be heard through 1225-3,

Discovery: SCP 1225 was discovered when, in December 2007, a SCP foundation Researcher codename Hux, got lost during a snowstorm in Norway and found themselves in a small village. The villages name is [redacted]. His audio log was recovered.

(hux): day one. the villagers here are taking care of me, after the storm I didn’t think I would make it

Hux: day two. 3 days before christmas, everyone is starting to act strangely, I keep hearing whispering about toys and jars of blood...im going to ask around. “hey! You there! What on earth is everyone riled up for?”

An elderly man responds to hux,

Man: we must prepare for the christmas creature don’t you know?

Hux: private log. When it was clear I had no idea what he was talking about, the old man pulled me aside and told me everything. The man explained how when the villagers first settled in the area, they had found a stone with a nursery rhyme inscribed on it. The stone detailed the story of how to contain the Christmas creature. (The man when questioned later happily provided a copy of the rhyme for the foundation, which is now used as instructions for containing 1225. ) ive contacted site 77 and requested extraction, but they say itll be 11 days till they reach me.

The next day Hux wrote,1225-1 approached him and asked for a toy , he says when he told the strange boy he did not have any toys,. The old man he had been staying with looked at him like he was going to die. The very next day when Hux and the old man were visited by 1225-2, it began asking questions,

Hux: day 4. there is a strange stunning spectral scarlet bird in my room...

Bird: what is you name?

Hux: hux

Bird: what color am I?

Hux: red

Bird: what are the names of the O-5 council?

Hux: how on earth could I know? Nobody knows their names that’s the whole point!

1225-2 then proceeded to tell researcher Hux that “he was lying, and that the names of the O5 council are [redacted]” then disappeared. Hux himself printed the names he was told, along with a note that he, the old man, and anyone that read his report before the council or sufficiently leveled personnel have received it, be subjected to amnestics. Here his recorder died, and he resorts to a written report.

The next day, when the red letters fell on their faces, Hux could feel the dread coming off them. His letter, was blank....the old man panicked and switched letters with Hux, saying “ a nice young man such as you doesn’t deserve to die” this would unfortunately, only end in the deaths of Hux and the old man. Both made the climb and tossed offerings into 1225-4 and returned to their home. 9 days later when foundation personnel arrived, all that was left in the house Hux had stayed in was his clothes, his report, his phone, and Two puddles of water cold as ice.

If at any point procedure is not followed, the offending personnel are to be counted KIA, as there currently is no stopping SCP 1225 from killing those who have broken its rules.
