Sometimes you start a show because you need something to watch before bed when you're too exhausted for anything else, and nothing on your never-ending "to watch" list is inspiring you at the moment, and you can't select from your "currently watching" list cuz you have to wait 5 more days till the next episode, so you pick a show somewhat at random while vaguely looking at your streaming service's list of "show like [other show you loved]". And sometimes it's way off base and you stop after 2 eps. But sometimes the algorithm did do its homework and now you're obsessed with a new show, finish it over the next few weeks, and can't stop thinking about it and are this close to rewatching it all over again even though you've just finished it.

Anyway that's me with Taxi Driver right now.

I'm not even sure I would have watched it (or not dropped it) in other circumstances tbh; it's quite violent and pretty unrealistic in many ways. And yet, it completely took hold of my heart. I've grown so attached to its cast

[List] Lee Jehoon's recommended movies & series

Jehoon is quite renowned as a cinephile – he loves cinema so much that on numerous occasions has said that he couldn't live without movies. He's mentioned a few times already when asked about his dreams that someday he wants to open a cinema where movies would be screened not using a modern projector but rather the older way – where the projector would flip actual films. He also once said that New York is perhaps his favorite city because of its many independent movie theatres; when he visited there and experienced watching a movie screened using a film projector, Jehoon loved it so much he thought there needs to be a theater like that in Korea as well.

As someone who's obsessed with cataloguing, I had to make a list on Letterboxd with films and series Jehoon has either recommended or mentioned that he watched them. I hope this will bring about more convenience for fellow Letterboxd users ^^ Before opening the link please brace yourselves – as of today it contains 154 movies/series in total :-)

Also to be clear: I didn't make the list! The most I did was add a couple of movies/series that seem to have been missing – the entire god's work was done by user @ kryshoon on Twitter.
