He's beauty, he's grace...
Tumblr media
He's kind of... odder-looking in the face. Huh.
Tumblr media
Following an impulse poll you were all kind enough to play around with me on, the winner of the poll for a new minecraft skin is Sommie! (Now extra long and cursed-proportioned.) As also featured in Sharena Week, not only am I making Sommie's skin available, but previous skins, Kiran and Sharena too!
For instructions on how to install skins, view the read more below!
For Sommie's skin, download the following image:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Kiran / The Summoner's skin, download the following image:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Sharena's skin, download the following image:
Tumblr media
But wait, there's more!
You may be wondering: Wait, Sharena looks a little different from last time. And the structures look weirdly familiar. And what's that on Sharena's head and arm?!
That's because the world currently featured is the Hermitcraft world (Season 9, this being specifically the Bedrock version), and as an apology for stealing borrowing the world as a quick backdrop, here's some other goodies to mess with for those of you who have your own skins and want to either become summoners of your own, or walk away with some Jellie-themed Scarland goodies.
Tumblr media
With your preferred skin, save the following images to overlay it for summoner clothes or Jellie accessories:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's all for now! Continuing on with the polls and doing it in order of votes (yes I've watched), next up will be Lif, followed by Robin and Alfonse.
To install all the skins, you must have Minecraft, and you must do the following (Note that all skins shown here assume it's proportioned to the Steve/wide style skin and has not been tested on Alex/slim style skins.):
Save all skin files you want as a png and make sure to name them and save them where you can easily find them.
Log into your minecraft account in the hub
For Java players, go to the Skins tab, and click on New Skin. Browse and upload the skin file, name it however you like, and make sure to set it to Wide. Save or Save & Use the skin.
For Bedrock players, go into your Bedrock game and go into Dressing Room. Choose any skin slot that you don't mind using for your new skin (note that you can only save one custom skin and multiple skin slots featuring a custom skin will default to whichever current custom skin you were currently using last). Click on Change Classic Skin (if this is not visible, click on Edit Character then click on the coat-hanger icon on your left). Click on the grey, blank model under "Owned Skins", then click Choose New Skin. After uploading the skin you want, click on the right model and exit out of the menu to save this current skin.
Note for Bedrock players: Custom skins cannot be used in console, and custom skins will NOT work in official minecraft event servers such as the (currently ongoing) MCC bedrock world. This is not the same as a marketplace skin (which is selectable outright in its own group) and custom skins will default to one of the OG Minecraft skins in event servers.

I've seen you send this ask to other blogs, but I'm not sure if I've seen your post about it
How would you make an Engage au involving both of the Alears?
sorry it took so long for me to reply! That is a really good question! I've got a couple of aus I like :)
1: Divine dragon M!Alear, Fell Dragon F!Alear
maybe Lumera's child M!Alear finds past F!Alear with his mother and they all become family (maybe there's a cutscene where M!Alear and past F!Alear are cuddling sommie or something cute like that) and all three of them go to face Sombron.
F!Alear gets injured and has to have the 1000 year nap, but M!Alear dies and to save him Lumera puts him in the ring she gives F!Alear, or Lumera is able to save him but as a result he is transported to the Fell Xenologue universe (maybe she used a risky and experimental healing magic that displaced his body and spirit or something?) which is why Xeno-Alear knows our Alear.
2: Fell twin Alears
Or M!Alear and F!Alear are twins and both protect their sister Veyle, but M!Alear dies protecting her. Veyle held her brother as he died in her arms and his dragon stone shattered and there was nothing she could do. She did revive him as a corrupted (the first corrupted she had ever made) but it was a shadow of who he was. both siblings were traumatised by this almost-M!Alear-corrupted who tries to comfort them after his death only to fall apart literally right in front of them, which is one of the motivators for F!Alear's fear of corrupted. This is also a parallel to when Veyle sees F!Alear die to protect her from Sombron. Veyle has seen this happen before (but with a divine dragon, one of Lumera's biological family before they were all killed) and it breaks her.
This would
further blur the divine/ fell dragon separation - divine dragon killed M!Alear and was brought back (temporarily) by the power of love using a fell dragon power vs fell dragon killed F!Alear who was brought back (temporarily) with fell dragon power to try and help the people she loved, and then brought back (permanently) by the power of the emblems
add a mirroring cutscene for M!Alear where Alear dies, causing the Sombron death of F!Alear to be a horrible parallel and give an heir of inevitability to the death of them both
add more reason for Veyle's hatred of fell powers (she views the fact she brought him back for a moment as prolonging her brothers suffering)
add another reason for F!Alear's fear of corrupted
And I suppose if you wanted to have a happy(ish) ending, maybe when the Emblems save F!Alear, they help revive her twin brother, who becomes the emblem, so therefore F!Alear can have a body and there can still be an Alear emblem but without making the emblem stuff make even less sense.
plus Veyle would get scary dog privileges:
Tumblr media
3: the Xeno-Alear idea that @doodlesandbooks came up with
honestly I just love this idea, and adorable zombie M!Alear bonding with his sisters is just the cutest thing ever. Like who would not want an adorable zombie alear? Can you imagine Xeno-M!Alear zombie on the battlefield with Veyle and F!Alear. They would have such adorable dialogue when it comes to joint attacks or engaging with Alear's ring.

The sun was setting on a ruined castle, casting long shadows across the overgrown courtyard. Sommie stood at the entrance of the crumbling fortress, their heart pounding their chest As they surveyed their surroundings.
They had come to this place in search of their beloved owner Alear, who had been kidnapped by an unknown attacker. Sommie's senses lead them to believe that Alear was being held captive somewhere in this castle.
Out of what seemed like thin air appeared a dark figure, it slowly crept from the shadows of the castle walls toward Sommie.. It was none other than Zommie, the fiend who looked exactly like Sommie in every way except for being red, of course. They held Alear in their clutches and threatened to harm them had Sommie not surrendered immediately.
It was then Sommie knew what they must do to save their beloved Alear from this evil mastermind.
With not so god-like speed, Sommie lunged toward Zommie firing a self protection beam.
"ARF ARF!" Zommie shouted smugly.
"ARF ARF!" replied Sommie angrily.
"ARF ARF!" Zommie sneered.
"ARF ARF!" growled Sommie through gritted teeth. "ARF ARF!"
They fought on what seems like forever, hours felt like days but in reality was only minutes.. eventually the dust settled and we had our victor– Sommie!
Panting heavily Sommie freed Alear and cradled in their arms as Zommie faded away. Alear called Sommie's name over and over, Sommie's smile growing wider until Sommie awoke to Alear patting them gently on the head.

I think I've found a pretty good rhythm for postgame support/bond grinding in Engage. Sharing here because I like talking through my 100% processes.
Step 1: Pick a battle. Order of priority goes Training (only available at Firene, Brodia, and Solm castles) -> Gold Corrupted -> Silver Corrupted -> regular skirmish, although typically I'll only ever do the first two before the selection changes. Training battles give bonus EXP and money at the end making them generally more profitable than either Gold or Silver Corrupted battles.
Step 2: Fight the battle. On Normal at least you can eventually auto-battle most turns and have everyone survive, once your units start approaching and hitting their caps (note: I got the growth and EXP-boosting DLC skills on all of my units during the main story to speed this up). Emblems should be shuffled around often to maximize bond growth.
Step 3: Grab bond fragments from battlefield and possibly other items before returning to the Somniel.
Step 4: View available bond and support conversations, do all three of the support-increasing activities added in the most recent update, share a meal for more support points, and spend your money appropriately. After maxing out donations and buying a second seal for everyone so they could keep leveling (and doing so routinely when they hit max level again without capping their stats), money should go toward buying everything in the boutique, forging, and finally buying cheap stuff from the armory and item shop to get all the related achievements.
Step 5: Feed and pet Sommie for easy bond fragments. If it's afternoon, go fishing (see next step); if not, go to sleep to get a wake-up scene and do so until it's afternoon.
Step 6: Go fishing. Ensure that Bisot Tuna is the bonus fish, which can be done by viewing bonus fish at other times of day repeatedly until the afternoon bonus changes to Bisot. By casting immediately after beginning the minigame, I find that I mostly pull up Bisot Tuna (1000 fragments with the bonus) and Enchan Tuna (1000 fragments) most often with the lower-value fish appearing 2-4 times per visit to the Somniel. You can just let these break free and not lose a chance to fish, but Sommie's affection will decrease if you keep doing this which can be a problem for hauling in the very difficult Enchan Tuna.
Step 7: If you haven't gone to sleep yet, do so to get a wake-up scene. Go to the arena. You can save scum the standard bouts to quickly build supports, although this is very tedious. Now that the update added faster support building activities, I just do these with Alear since they have the most supports to get anyway. Emblem bouts should be done routinely to build bond supports. By fishing as described above, I find I average about 8-10,000 bond fragments with each round of this process, which is ample to slowly work through the ridiculous amount of bond conversations. Once all bond conversations are finished, fragments would then be spent on obtaining bond rings. Gacha mechanics...yay.
Repeat from Step 1 until all supports, bond conversations, bond rings, and achievements are obtained...which won't be possible until Wave 4 of the DLC has released.
Note that this is all quite repetitive, somehow even more so than when I was doing 100% in Three Houses and replaying the game over two dozen times. At least it all goes pretty quickly once you get the process down.
...I'm still very much looking forward to Octopath Traveler 2 just to have something different to play, though.

a long, somewhat unorganised rant (not about Engage as the tags suggest, i just like using that tag whenever i mention Engage's gameplay)
i've only played Engage for a very small fraction compared to my hours in Three Houses, but the Somniel never got old to me, unlike the monastery. like yeah, in the monastery, the units had completely different dialogue after each and every chapter, and they were fully voiced, but with just how many characters there are in Engage, it sorta doesn't feel like everyone repeats the same line most chapters? and the Emblems you have with them also have their own dialogue, sometimes mentioning characters or other Emblems, which is always nice to hear. and because the Somniel's map is much smaller compared to the monastery's map, going around and doing the usual stuff like doing the recreational activities, cooking, getting materials with the animals you've adopted, going to pick up fruit at the garden, petting and feeding Sommie, and using the arena for usual training and Emblem training, those don't feel like chores. it's also nice that the Somniel isn't even required like 98% of the time. the calendar system in Three Houses felt natural during part 1, but felt more unnatural than unnatural can cover in part 2. war is unpredictable and having to wait until the very end of the month for the big battles felt very wrong. Hubert mentions in CF an urgent matter that they should take care of "as quickly as possible," but then goes on to say they need to do it at the end of the month. and the final chapter of VW with the whole "Nemesis's army is tearing their way through the innocent citizens! We need to do something fast!" but you are actually just unable to go right away and waste an entire month semi-frantically waiting??? it's true that you CAN just skip the month until the battle begins, but you're losing out on extra levels, on forging, on classing into new classes, on proficiency in weapons/magic/riding/flying, on supports that can grant extra might between units, all this stuff that is debilitating to ignore. and you also need to worry about professor level on a new game save, which is actively detrimental to ignore. and professor level is annoying on its own! having to basically dedicate the entire first part of the game to raising it to max so you won't get its benefits too late doesn't feel good at all. not having to worry about any of that in Engage is a huge breath of fresh air, even if the reclass system could have a few tweaks, at least units don't have to be in the Somniel to get into a brand new class.

FEtwt scares me so I am hiding here
Anyways, since FEtwt really sucks, I'll be here to talk about a hypothetical Pikmin 4 AU of Fire Emblem Engage that I want to create.
Alear, Alfred, Timerra, Ivy, and Diamant are the Rescue Corps, and Sommie is the Rescue Corps pup. You know, to obviously parallel Oatchi.
This AU will also have Alear and the Rescue Corps save the characters who are Emblems in FE Engage, which mirrors Alear and co. having to retrieve the stolen Emblem Rings in the game.
Oh and one more thing: If you saw this and expected something like Alear as a Pikmin, well you're wrong, because this AU is not about Alear as a Pikmin 😔

So it took until...last night for me to realize that doing paralogues unlocked bond levels. I had been purposely putting paralogues off because I wanted to save some battles for the lategame joiners. So I've been just swapping off emblems once they reach bond 10...
Ivy and Kagetsu talk like they just met?
Anyway, plot. Picked up the thirty-one-year old, which is the more important part.
Marni: But I also have a sad backstory, you know!
Goddammit, I laughed
The mind control fetish is real, goddamn
So if MC is bad guy's kid...and Veyle is bad guy's kid...who's driving the bus Zephia's parent? They say she's dragonblood, but whose? Sombron says he killed all his kids. She's also got the red-blue-purple visual scheme dragons in this game do, along with the traditional pointy ears.
...yanno, the whole "demon child switches sides" thing from the flashback seems like a more interesting story than the actual game. I wanna see that story. Lumera must have had some serious connection with MC. And it would have been nice to get a proper sense of what it means to be a Fell or Divine Dragon. With amnesiac MC's thing being all "I'm just a normal person!" it makes me wonder what the point was in making Divine Dragons at all. Like, what purpose did Lumera serve in this world aside from Fell Dragon management? She hadn't needed to do that for the last thousand years, so what has she been getting worshipped for?
And Lumera cements herself as the Mikoto of this game, the flawed martyr mother. Previously seen as Rhea! While I do like the story hook Lumera has, she shuffles off way too fast to say much. Rhea clears easily.
Ah, crap, I didn't realize that Sommie's loyalty degraded.
Oooh, the enemy Berserkers have cute little cat-ear helmets! On that note, why do the playable Berserkers wear bodysuits? I don't put someone in Berserker because I want them to wear clothes.
I REALLY REALLY wish you could preview what classes looked like on units before changing them
I still haven't quite figured out what the common elements are in these Engage henshin outfits...I mean, I see them, but I've seen several units get, say, the Micaiah VR helmet. Is it the secondary unit type, the covert/whatever thing? I swear I've seen units with wings other than fliers, though...
Two revivals in five minutes...lol. Don't have much more to say. lol.
EmbleMC looks too much like Lucina
Oh, I love this insane EmbleMC henshin outfit. Cotton candy-ass fit
>expected Saphir to be generic grr training violence lady
>actually has great supports

✱  BSIDE 002
— DATED 7.13.2023
Seojin sends his younger brother off
The room is silent save for the occasional sniffle and whimper. Tears streaming down his younger brother's face cascade down his cheeks and neck — a waterfall of regret and fear. Seojin keeps his back turned, closed fist pressed against his mouth. In his other hand, he grips an electric shaver. The five round heads look up at him; gaze cold and steely.
"... I don't wanna go..." The young man sniffles. "Please don't make me go. I messed up. I really fucked up!"
"Chanhyeok... You gotta go... and don't even try to think about running away when you're there. Someone would come and get you." The sigh that falls from Seojin's lips is a heavy one — brimming with reluctance. However, he makes no ado about the process, running the trimmer through his locks bit by bit. Large chunks of black hair fall at his feet. "You're lucky I'm doing it here. When I went, the guys pulled my hair and cut my head."
"Hyung..." His little brother chokes out a whimper, hands moving to grab his neatly trimmed head. Seojin places his palm to the back and hums curiously in response. "I'm sorry..."
"Huh? For what?"
"E...— Everything. For... for causin' you trouble, bein' a pain in your ass the past seven years... mom and dad's, too. Dahye prolly hates my guts and Dasom doesn't even wanna do stuff do with me anymore... I'm sorry. I'm real sorry." The apology becomes mangled amidst hoarse sobs. "Wh—When I get done, I'm gonna get you a new guitar and take Sommie to Everland... a—and..."
The plea for forgiveness tugs at Seojin's heart strings. A solid lump pulls at the back of his throat. He looks upward to mitigate the stinging in his eyes. The most he can choke out in response is a strangled chuckle and shake of his head. He hands him the small bag of belongings he is able to keep after slipping a letter inside.
"Let's go. Everyone's waiting."
Dear Park Chanhyeok little bro, It's really funny. You're going at about the same age I did, and dad, too. All of us outta nowhere. I guess it doesn't matter that we aren't blood related at all cause it's true that these Park boys are a bit crazy, huh? Anyway, it's better to get it out of the way. I know what your goals are. You have people waiting for you to come back so do it quickly, got it? When you're there, do as they say. Don't cause any trouble, don't talk back. Don't showboat. Strive to just be average or you'll end up like me. Eat your meals. All of it. Even if it tastes like shit. Drink any water you can get. If a guy pressures you to smoke, sneak out, or pull a prank on a higher up, don't do it. Be on your best behavior and keep your mouth shut. You might end up in fights. Don't punch back. Keep on standing straight. Find some kinda hobby. Make friends with good guys. If you end up causing shit, everyone gets punished. I know they let you have your phone but don't use it too much. Give it up when they ask you to. Keep it and film something if any hazing goes down. Call me, or mom and dad if anything happens but go to your superior first. I'm sure stuff has changed since I've been there. I heard things are getting better or so I hope... If you wanna make it to the other side, you have to listen to me. You know how serious this is and I don't want you to have a hard time. Since you joined our family seven years ago, I knew there would be a lot to handle but you are my brother now. I care about you. You know I'm not great with words and might think I'm overbearing but it's for your best interest. I've watched you grow up from a teenager into an adult and I know you have a good heart in spite of everything that you've been through. You're scared but I know you can get through this. I'm rooting for you. Love you, Your one and only hyung

Alfred and Alear have been the saving graces of this game so far. Well, them and Sommie. Sommie’s adorable themselves and honestly, while I didn’t expect Fire Emblem to do a pet-raising minigame, it’s far from unwelcome. I personally dressed Sommie like Alear and made their scarf white.
I also got to make Sigurd and Alfred outfit buddies for a brief second! That was cool. Though I generally will refrain from putting everyone in the same outfit.
I also slapped some glasses onto Alfred and Vander, because I felt they suited them. (I was so disappointed that Three Houses didn’t let you put glasses on anyone but Byleth. So many characters in that game would look good in them. Though post-timeskip Dimitri would have to settle for a monocle.)
Getting to do a workout minigame was unexpected! While I’m disappointed that it amounts to a free Tonic in HP, Strength, or Dexterity for Alear only, it was still entertaining nonetheless! (Although Alear’s push-up form is lacking, according to my mom.)

I have an AU story idea for Fire Emblem Engage for Dialear fans if they want it. I'm too busy writing Those Scheming Matchmakers, The Emblems than to add another project to my list.
I will also confess I have also binge watched Sailor Moon Crystal this weekend (Is it June yet? I want Stars so much! Looks like I have to read the manga if I want the rest of the story again.), but I couldn't help seeing the parallels between the game and the anime, Alear (Sailor Lythos) and Usagi (Sailor Moon), Ivy (Sailor Elusia) and Ami (Sailor Mercury), Diamant (Sailor Brodia) and Rei (Sailor Mars), Alfred (Sailor Firene) and Makoto (Sailor Jupiter), and Timerra (Sailor Solm) and Minako (Sailor Venus). Veyle is Sailor Gradlon. The men would look more like Mamoru (Tuxedo Mask). Here's the story line.
1,000 years ago, during the war with the Fell Dragon, Alear met and fell in love with Diamant, the crown prince of Brodia. They shouldn't have met, but fate spoke and fell in love. Queen Lumera should've seen it and stopped it, but she loved seeing her daughter so happy.
As Alear and Diamant love grew, the hatred grew as well. Sombron struck Alear down and killed all the Royals of Elyos. Queen Lumera was able to subdue Sombron. However, it took so much power to subdue Sombron that she could only save Alear and put her to sleep, and the rest are reincarnated.
Now 1,000 years later, Sombron is on the verge of waking up, and Lumera knows it's only a matter of time before he does. She hopes she can teach Alear what she needs to do and who she needs to find. But it's too late when she sees another Sailor Senshi she had never seen before and strikes her down. She knows her daughter has the ring, but she still holds on to life so she can give her daughter the broach to transform herself into the Pretty Gaurdian Sailor Lythos. She tells Sommie (who is a combination of Luna and Artemis) to protect Alear.
As Queen Lumera is dying and tears from Alear's face pouring down, she still tells her daughter to have faith and gather the others to fight the evil that is looming once and for all.
Take what you want from it. Change it around if you like. Again let me know if you use this prompt and link me.

Are we not Engaged? Part 3.
-Queen Eve sounds perpetually drowsy.
-Lol, Lumera gave Firene special treatment with an extra ring.
-The Firene castle explore area really is quite pretty.
-Dipwad Elusian commander is still alive.
-Oh nvm, psycho bitch killed him. Zephia really is a walking cliche roflmao.
-I think Azura dragon loli killed Lumera.
-Vander Alfred C: Alfred apologizes for not making it earlier to save Lumera, Vander is devoted.
-Clanne Framme B: They keep going on about how there’s a lot of people in the area but we don’t see any npc’s roflmao. Also Clanne’s got stage freight.
-Framme Boucheron C: Holy shit Boucheron’s voice acting is terrible. He’s a sensitive type. That’s his gimmick. His offering to read his story to Framme is cute but it just emphasizes how young she is.
-Daawww, Sommie’s following me around the Somniel, that’s a little cute. I gave him shades :)
-First paralogue \o/
-It’s called budding talent. Oh no.
-Jean has the body of a young boy and the voice of an 80 year-old woman.
-Oh I finally hit deploy limits. Goodbye Boucheron, Alfred, and Clanne.
-yeah I don’t care much what growths Jean has, I don’t need a healer to be super strong and Framme heals just fine, even with her painted-on biceps meaning she can’t throw a punch.
-Celine got mvp. Again.
-”Can I come along and help,” sure Jean, those benches ain’t gonna warm themselves :)
-Evidently Celine sneaks out to Jean’s village to get tea, but how does she disguise her hair roflmao.
Jean paralogue was really easy but I lost a villager to a flier ‘cause nobody would heal them.
-Framme Vader C: Framme’s screwing up her chores again, Vander is still serious and devoted. Wait, this is the same chore he was talking about in their C support which was ages ago. And again this support ended very quickly.
-Etie Celine C: They’re friends. Tea. Celine noticed Etie’s hand is trembling but Etie denies it.
-Louis Chloe C: Louis was spying on Chloe @,@ He’s rather shameless about watching people lol. So is Chloe.
-Training fight in Firene castle. I have to leave 1 person out. Lolsorry Boucheron, ya loser.
-Chloe finally managed to break Celine’s string of being MVP by waving the ridersbane around.
-Chloe Framme C: Chloe engages in her other character gimmick: she likes food. Framme being helpful is nice though. Oh uhm. Chloe’s taste in food is weird. I think she’d actually like Mythra’s... quisine. That said, Chloe’s passion about local foods is pretty endearing.
-Etie Clanne C: This one’s actually pretty cute. Clanne gives Etie a snack after she does a workout. She runs, yet she’s grown 0 speed and 4 consecutive levels of strength, heheh. Then again the only units she’d have doubled are armors so being slow is a wash as long as I just keep her safe.
That’s enough for now, but general thoughts;
The story’s kind of a joke so I’m mostly ignoring it. Gameplay’s QUITE solid though, I must say, and the Somniel activities are fairly engrossing and yet the Somniel is much easier to navigate than the Monastery was.
In terms of gameplay, Alear, Celine, Louis (seriously, kudos to IntSys for giving us an actually tanky armor knight again, that’s how you make the class good!), and Vander are my MVPs, Chloe, Clanne, and Etie can pull their weight just fine, Framme is basically just a healbot, and Boucheron and Alfred are waiting for their replacements so they can get benched.

Chapter 8 Part 6: Is this the end finally? It is the end, right? Jesus god let it end already
When we left off, Lute was chipping away at Tirado turn after turn.
She is still doing that. This could be the end if she doesn't miss at all.
Tumblr media
lol, she missed
Tumblr media
But this means we get to do more math, which we love!
The question at hand is, do we need to move Lute, or can we just leave her here to (probably) take out the boss during enemy phase?
Tirado has 27 attack, which looks pretty scary, especially against Lute's 6 defense and 21 HP. He'll one-shot her, right?
Well, remember, that attack is partly his strength, and partly the might of the silver lance. Since Lute is 2 tiles away, he won't use the silver lance against her, he'll throw his javelin.
The javelin has a lot less might, only 6 to the silver lance's 14. So we can actually subtract (14 - 6 = )8 damage from his 27 attack, meaning he'll only have 19 attack against Lute. And with her 6 defense, that's only 13 damage, which she can easily take.
And getting doubled isn't an issue. We know that up until now, Lute has been doubling him, and the javelin is actually slightly heavier than the silver lance (5 and a 1/2 Sommies for the javelin instead of an even 5 Sommies for the silver lance) so there's no way he would suddenly be doubling Lute from switching weapons.
(Also, Tirado has only 3 speed to begin with, so he's not doubling anyone anyway.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah, let's just leave Lute here and see what happens.
Now, I did overlook crit, which is actually pretty dangerous since 3 times 13 damage would definitely kill Lute. But looking at the math after the fact, Lute has 9 luck, and the displayed crit for both weapons is 0. So the ony crit the boss would have would be from his dex divided by 2, which is 3.5. (I don't know if this rounds up or down, nor does it matter here.) Lute has 9 luck, and since 9 is bigger than 3.5, the boss has 0 crit against her, as seen below when she blasts him away. (Oh, and she dodged his attack anyway.)
Tumblr media
Tirado tells us in death, "You've done well, but Valter is not so kind as I am..."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lute level up!
...oh, come on
Tumblr media
Eirika takes the throne, and we're done saving getting saved by Ephraim.
Tumblr media
Ephraim, Seth, and Eirika finally have a chance to reflect on the situation and wonder why Orson, a loyal knight of Renais for years and years, suddenly turned on them...
Tumblr media
Wait, what?
Ephraim had a girl with him?
Who is this "Mirura" (Myrrh)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eirika notes her navy blue hair, and vaguely recollects running into some guy a while back who was looking for a girl with navy blue hair.
Tumblr media
Next time: More reminiscing, and a big choice!

Idk how RG recruited Rinnen in their head but i thought it would be cool if attempting to sell the goddess icon is how you get Rinnen. like Ike tries to sell it to one of the merchants and Rinnen spots this teenager with an extremely important religious implement for money and berates him for stealing it. Ike then explains how he got the icon and is once again berated for selling it instead of donating it to a temple/church/whatever their place of worship is called in tellius. Ike says he needs the money and Rinnen then just. gives him her savings. for the goddess icon. and joins the mercs to make sure ike doesn't sell it

holy shit it's such an honor to have you in my asks for a change, hope you're doing well Mod Sommie!
I’m going to include my thoughts here under a cut since they may end up being a spoiler depending on if this backstory is what we go with;
But my first thoughts after reading that Red made Rinnen Bryce’s daughter was thinking back to her being a dagger Bishop with no magic.
what if she never was a mage or clergy member? If she joined the Greil Mercenaries under that disguise to get close to and assassinate Ike only to be found out and rehabilitated by Volke?
If Bryce had tried to keep her from becoming a soldier and risking herself to assassinate the enemy leader was her way to go and try to help protect him from the enemy on her own, only to end up facing him down in the final battle because she now believes in their cause.
God this character has so much fucking potential I genuinely can not believe she started as a meme.
Also your idea is absolutely great, like I love it, and it also fits Path of Radiance’s tone fucking perfectly, really great suggestion ❤️
I uh, still don't actually know if she ever even was a cleric in this fic’s universe, but if we go down the path of her actually being a woman of faith thats going on the table;
and even if she isn't… that display could be a great way to earn Ike’s trust.
thank you so much for the suggestion!
