Down Bad
Tumblr media
Pair: Mingyu x f!reader
Genre: fluff, inspired by soft Mingyu during that GyuHan live
Summary: Clingy, lovesick Mingyu just wants your undivided attention
Warnings: tipsy! Gyu, mentions of alcohol, use of pet names, so much fluff, barely proofread
WC: 1.7k
Author's Note: look at me actually publishing something. This is once again very self-indulgent because Gyu was just so so adorable in that live and it had me in shambles. Shoutout to my sweet Cherry @shuadotcom for listening to me fawn over Mingyu when this live happened and building ideas of the scenes with me! I love you darling!
Author’s Note 2.0: LISTEN, SHORT HAIR MINGYU IS HANDSOME OKAY. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY SOME DON’T LIKE IT ON HIM??? LIKE BRO GET YOUR EYES CHECKED. But seriously, it does kill me when I watch Gyu kinda second guess his new hairstyle. Like I know he just laughs it off most times, but I hope the self doubt doesn’t eat him up. I will die defending his short hair. idc.
Tumblr media
“Is it bad?” You grimace as soon as Seungcheol releases you from his hug and leads you through the hall.
Cheol laughs, “well…” he stops walking to look at you, “he’s not drunk… yet. But he did get tipsy quite fast.”
“That’s cause he’s also tired,” you reasoned, “but thanks for calling me, I don’t think I’d want him to drive home by himself and—“
“Oh no no,” the leader interrupts, resuming his steps towards the dining area where you could already faintly hear your boyfriend whining, “he asked us to call you. Besides, you know that if he did get drunk, I’d force him to crash here.”
“Oh.”
“Babyyyy!” Mingyu shoots up from his seat and rushes to you with arms wife open when you surface in the room. He was beaming at the sight of you, puppy senses fully kicking in. A faint smell of alcohol and his cologne hits your nose when he bends down and engulfs you in a hug, his face nuzzling deep into your neck.
“Miss you,” he mumbles with a tight squeeze and you run your fingers through his short locks.
“Missed you too, bub. Should we get you home?”
Mingyu pulls you off him to hold you by your shoulders, his lips pursed and eyebrows scrunching, “no no, not yet. Comeeee, join usssss.”
You’re dragged by your tall boyfriend to the dining table, both Seungcheol and Jeonghan giggling but also sending you an apologetic look for the state that Mingyu is in.
“What are we doing?” You question when he offers you chopsticks and shows you all the food on the table.
“We’re celebrating Minghao’s birthday so we have to stay first, okay?” Seungcheol laughs at your boyfriend’s justification.
“Aaaand Hao is where exactly?”
Mingyu shrugs, “dunno. But that’s okay, we called him awhile ago already and we even sang for him on live. Do you want a drink?”
You reach out to stop his hands from pouring the alcohol on the glass, “no i’m good.” He looks at you intently and then decides against convincing you to drink. Instead, he sits back down and wraps his arms around your waist, sighing softly when his head rests on your shoulder.
“You okay, my love?” You ask after kissing the top of his head. “Tired?” He nods against your shoulder and hum an affirmative. “Maybe we should go—“
“Noooo,” your gentle giant whines, a full pout on his lips, making both his hyungs laugh at him.
“Okay, okay.”
“We’re still having fun… well, they’re having fun,” Mingyu gestures towards his two older members with scrunched brows.
You reach your arm up to touch his cheek, caressing his soft skin, “And you’re not?”
“They’re making fun of me.”
“We are not!” Seungcheol denies with a laugh.
“You laughed when the fans called me a potato on live.” The two boys start giggling again, recalling the conversation on the many forms of potatoes Mingyu could represent.
“I also said you were handsome with your short hair,” Cheol added, “the potato comment is just funny!”
Jeonghan, who was seated on Mingyu’s other side, now pokes at your boyfriend’s fingers before snorting with a laugh, “heh. french fries.”
Seungcheol and Jeonghan erupt in laughter much to Mingyu’s chagrin, and you yourself couldn’t help but giggle at the antics of the two boys. Mingyu crosses his arms defiantly, sulking like there’s no tomorrow.
“Oh cmon, Gyu, it’s funny!” The group’s resident trickster calls out.
“Babyyyyyy, protect meeee,” your boyfriend whines, hiding his face on your shoulder. Mingyu was no stranger to being teased by his members, and almost always, he’s a very good sport at taking it all in and staying calm and collected. But the facade easily drops the moment you’re around. He gets to be his true self, a big baby. Your big baby. Luckily for him, the boys listen to you.
“Okay, cut it out, guys,” you call, earning a smile from your boyfriend which immediately drops the next second when you say, “the potato is sad.”
“HEY!” Mingyu’s bottom lip juts out as he scowls at you, not at all impressed by your joke. You leave a kiss on his lips and he tries hard to hide the smile.
“I’m kidding, I don’t even know why they think that. You’re my puppy,” you quickly correct, cupping his cheeks and pecking his lips, “my handsome puppy.” That was enough to have your boyfriend unravel his arms and wrap them around your waist, a huge smile on his face as he leans on your shoulder. He was flustered beyond words. If there was one thing Mingyu agreed on, it’s that he was a puppy.
“You’re so whipped,” Jeonghan states the obvious and while you knew it was directed to your boyfriend, it also felt like it was a jab at you. Eitherway, neither you nor Mingyu denied it. Especially Mingyu. He was deeply in love with you and it was written all over his face.
You settle in nicely to a conversation with the boys, discussing the new cafe that just opened near the Hybe building and talking about the recent broadcast shows they’ve done for the comeback.
With each passing minute, the more Mingyu clings onto you like a koala. Mostly smiling and staring at you with lovestruck eyes that would immediately change into a silly face if you looked back at him. Eventually, his head constantly leaned on your shoulder or his face buried in your neck, relishing in the way your hand would subconciously reach up to run your fingers through his hair or scratch lightly at his scalp. You really loved his shorter hairdo, never missing a chance to compliment him about it. When he had cut his hair, he worried you’d stop running your fingers through them, which is why moments like these, even with his shorter strands, always made him sigh in content.
“What’s wrong?” You quiz when he pulls on your shirt sleeve after you laugh at one of Jeonghan’s jokes, your hands detaching from his hair to give the older member a high five. When you look at Mingyu, his eyes were even more half lidded than earlier, and the bags underneath a little more red and puffy.
“Nothin’,” he feigns but you know what he wants.
“Hmm… you sure you just don’t want my whole attention?” Mingyu scrunches his face in shock, like he’s trying to deny the way you just exposed him. But he doesn’t say anything, and instead, juts out his lower lip for his biggest pout of the night.
You decide to tease him a little bit more and roll your eyes playfully, putting your attention back to two of his brothers who were currently going through funny videos of Minghao.
Mingyu huffs loudly and tugs you closer to him, earning a giggle from you. “Okay big boy, I was only kidding, you have my attention,” he tries to maintain his sulking but fails badly when his lips quirk into a smile after you plant a kiss on them.
“I love you,” he whispers, blushing wildly at his own confession and hiding behind your shoulder blades.
“I love you too, Gyu. But can I bring you home now? You look like you’re about to fall asleep any minute.”
“Nooooo,” Mingyu whines loudly.
You were about to reason but Seungcheol beats you to it, “Mingoo, my hyung’s about to come home now. You guys have to leave soon.”
“See, baby? Cheol needs us out of the house.”
“That’s rude,” he complains, “but his hyung likes me. We can stay.”
You flash Cheol an apologetic look, letting him know you got it under control. Just then, you stand up and bend down to cup Mingyu’s face, forcing him to look at you. “Baby, we have to go. If you fall asleep on me here, you bet I won’t be carrying you home. So choose, big guy, do you want to be beside me in bed tonight? Or beside Seungch—“
“OKAY! BYE HYUNGS!” The 6 foot 2 man shoots up from his chair in full height, not even giving you enough time to process things before he’s pulling at your hand and dragging you out of the dining room, “We’re going. Thank you for the food, Coups hyung!”
“YAH!” Jeonghan scolds, “you said you would bring me home!”

the urge to be brat tamed runs through my mind all day. but cheol taming his brat, SIGN ME THE FUCK UP!!!

— the list goes on but here’s just a few to get a feel for!!
(literally love your posts sooooo much!!! keep up the good work ❤️)
BRAT-TAMER SEUNGCHEOL that's it.
Where Seungcheol gets jealous because his friend Jeongha, is all over you, even though your relationship is private, Seungcheol gets mad at your brat teasing. So he fucks you without mercy, separated by just one room from the members.
Word Count: 1.7k
Jealous dom! Seungcheol, Brat sub! Reader
Warnings: Smut, jealously sex, cum denial, slut shamming, begging, degradation, crying, angst, saliva as lube, fingering, penetrative sex, unprotected sex, bathroom sex, ass slapping, face slapping, chocking and etc.
The weekend getaway with Seungcheol and your friends had started out as a much-needed break. His friends were always very nice to you, and soon they became your friends too. The idea of renting a house for this period of rest sounded very pleasant. Everyone laughed, danced and sang, while you, Jeonghan and Mingyu cooked for the group.
As the day unfolded, you noticed Seungcheol's subtle glances whenever Jeonghan was around. Unbeknownst to your friends, your relationship with Seungcheol was still a secret, and the protective side of him was on full display.
Jeonghan pulled you into a hug, the kind that lasted just a tad too long, and a conversation that seemed a bit too personal. Seungcheol's reaction was swift, though subtle. His jaw clenched, and his eyebrows furrowed as he observed the scene. He couldn't shake off the unease that gripped him.
As Jeonghan continued to chat with you, Seungcheol's discomfort became more evident. Sensing something amiss, you looked at him and asked, "Hey, everything okay?" He nodded, but his locked jaw and the intensity in his gaze told a different story.
Before the tension could escalate, Jeonghan, with his ever-present charisma, pulled you away to join another conversation. You shot a puzzled glance at Seungcheol, but he merely nodded again, though this time, there was a palpable tension in the air.
Seungcheol couldn't take it any longer. He grabbed your arm gently, pulling you aside towards a nearby bathroom. Once inside, he closed the door behind him, his expression unreadable.
"What's going on, Seungcheol?"
"You're mine for now," he declared, his voice low and possessive. His eyes bore into yours, a mixture of frustration and desire. "I can't stand seeing him all over you like that," he admitted, his voice low but intense.
A mischievous grin played on your lips as you locked eyes with Seungcheol, your fingers gently tracing circles on his arm. "Well, someone seems a bit possessive," you teased, raising an eyebrow playfully.
Seungcheol's expression shifted to confusion, and he arched a thick eyebrow in response. His veins pulsed on his neck, a subtle display of the building anger beneath the surface.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his tone irritated
You chuckled, enjoying the playful banter. "You know, claiming me in the bathroom like that. It's almost like you want to tell the world we're together."
His eyes narrowed, the tension in his shoulders rising. "I never said that," he retorted, the veins on his neck more prominent now.
Leaning in, you whispered teasingly, "Maybe you just can't resist showing off your amazing girlfriend."
Seungcheol's jaw clenched, his frustration evident. "You're making it sound like I'm the one holding us back from going public.”
You couldn't resist pushing his buttons further. With a sly smile, you mimicked his serious expression, contorting your face into a comical version of his furrowed brows and arched eyebrow.
His eyes widened in disbelief. Before he could react, he lost his mind momentarily.
He pushed your body against the bathroom wall, a firm grip around your neck, while his lips brushed against yours. In the close proximity, he warned with a husky voice, "You're loosing your mind Y/N."
“Am I?” You couldn't help but laugh, the cut air from the choking making you gasp.
Seungcheol's grip tightened slightly, his lips hovering near yours. "You find this cool?" he questioned.
His eyes seemed to glow red furiously. The air grew thick as he sucked his teeth, not a hint of a smile on his face.
Before you could gauge his next move, he reached out, his fingers gripping the fabric of your sun dress. In one swift motion, he pulled you closer, the dress bunching up slightly.
With your dress in his hands, he pulls it up, revealing your panties, so he pulls them down hard, the lacy fabric immediately tearing in his hands. You gasp, denying to yourself "I didn't even like that one anyway..." Lie. It was your favorite.
His breath was strong against your face as he whispered, "You're mine, and I don't share.”
The possessiveness in his voice sent a shiver down your spine, and you couldn't help but moan, feeling the wetness between your thighs.
"I'm gonna give you a lesson." Without breaking eye contact, he reached out, gently guiding your chin upward. His fingers traced along your jawline before he leaned in, whispering, "You need to learn who you belong to.”
His fingers traced a path along your lower lip, the touch sending a shiver down your spine. Without breaking eye contact, he slowly trailed his digits over your tongue, the intimate contact making your saliva envelop his skin.
You looked in his eyes, before sucking his two fingers, just like you would suck his cock. So he slowly pulled his fingers, making your lower lips flip back shiny with your saliva.
His wet fingers circled your clit slowly, making you hold onto him, his eyes burning you "You're such a brat," he remarked, the edge of amusement evident in his voice.
With a playful glint in your eyes, you shot back, "Well, maybe I like being a brat."
He chuckled, the tension dissipating into a teasing energy. "Do you now?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. His tone held a challenge as he continued, "Tell me, what's the appeal of being a brat, hm?"
You leaned in, a mischievous smile playing on your lips. "Maybe I enjoy seeing you lose your cool. It's kind of hot, you know?"
Without warning, he pushed his two fingers inside of you, making you groan. He curled his digits perfectly while his body pressed yours on the bathroom tiles, you looked to the mirror on your side, his big biceps flexing as he worked his skillfully fingers inside of you.
Your weeping cunt can be heard by him, the gushing sound hitting his senses as his fingers get wetter every second. "Look at you… So wet for me, and I didn't even started to fuck you."
"I get wet just by thinking about you getting mad."
"Yeah? Just to let you know… I am pissed off."
Without warning, he pushed your body, and you felt the cold tiles of the bathroom wall against your cheek. His strong grip held you in place, and the sudden shift left you breathless.
The sound of his belt being unbuckled echoed in the small space, you could sense Seungcheol's controlled anger. The forceful push of his big cock inside of your pussy, made you moan loud.
Before the sound could fully echo, Seungcheol's veiny hands covered your mouth, suppressing any further noise. Your eyes met his in the mirror, and your body ached against his, caught between the cold tiles and the heat radiating from Seungcheol.
He stopped his hips, his tip hitting your cervix, before taking everything out and slamming all in once inside of you again, his hands once again muffling a scream. "S-Seungcheol!"
Seungcheol gives you a harsh spank, making your body tremble, eyes closed tightly. Allowing you to take another breath, he takes his hand off your mouth. His voice, low and intense, broke the momentary silence. "You don't want the members to hear us, right?"
You can feel your walls clenching around his cock, sensing the know on your stomach wanting to be free, making him groan in response. The spongy little spot being abused with the strength of his dick knocking you.
Tears trickle down your face, your lip being bitten by yourself wasn't helping too much, as you feel your orgasm getting closer, the whimpering turning into moans, that turned into screams again.
Everytime you let out a moan escape, he gives you harsh slaps on the meat of your ass, the flesh turning red, as the skin burns like hell. "Be quiet," he instructed, his gaze locking onto yours in the mirror. His question lingered, "Is that what you want? Everyone to hear how good I am fucking you?"
Your gaze met Seungcheol's reflected eyes in the mirror, nodding yes, with a mischievous smile. Seungcheol's eyes held satisfaction, and the synchronized rhythm of his thrusts continued.
Seungcheol groaned in your ear, your weeping cunt tightening around him, and he could feel your walls milking his dick, as your world spinned, the moans leaving your throat non-stop, and he slapped you each time.
When entered on the brink of an orgasm, he pulled out his wet cock, making you whine between his grip and the wall. The denying made you sob, your clit begged attention, and your poor pussy was a mess.
Seungcheol coos at you "Slut… Can't even endure your own provocations…" his fingers wiped your tears away, before giving you a slap on the side of your cheek.
"P-please let me c-um" You begged, the tears shining with the bathroom light.
"Beg that prettily for me again."
"Please Seungcheol, I am f-ucking begging you babe." Your head lays on his shoulder.
He pushed his cock effortlessly inside of you again making you scream his name, your throat barely having power to speak. His fingers search to your sopping folds, collecting your arousal to masturbate your clit fast. And if it wasn't his tight grip on you, your knees would've found the ground already.
Seungcheol hips start to stutter, the rhythm becoming inconsistent, as a wet white ring forms around the base of his cock. His groans became more whiny, and his fingers followed a crazy unstopping pace. You struggled to breathe properly because you're more and more pressed on the wall with each thrust of him. Making your moans follow the same pace of his strokes.
"Oh my god! Please, please, pl-ease…" The begging sounded infinite as he fucked you merciless.
You're too fucked out to process anything, or hold your moans, suddently your head feels dizzy as your knees trembled, your mouth hanging open and you could only manage silent moans. The orgasm comes harshly, making you whine shakily.
His swollen cock throbs against your walls and he whimpered, with a trembling high, Seungcheol painted your walls white, the sticky cum dripping as his hips strokes lazily, his hands softening his grip on you.
"You know, I think it's time I tell the members that you're my girlfriend."
You scoffed, a playful smile tugging at your lips. "After all of that, I think they probably already know, Seungcheol."

The Idol‘s Encore - Choi Seungcheol
Tumblr media
summary: meeting an idol was crazy enough, but getting close to him, makes it all even crazier.
content: Idol scoups x non Idol reader, fight, angst, sad end, fluff, smut, drama, heartbreak I’m sorrryyyy
wc: 1.5 k
a/n: I really think that’s how it goes. Dating in this business? Hard.
Lollapalooza was unreal and Cheol looked so so so good!!!
Tumblr media
As you navigated through the bustling stadium, weaving through the throngs of fans, you followed closely behind your best friend, who was practically sprinting toward the stage. The entire place was alive with energy, people running and shouting, excitement buzzing in the air like an electric current. The fanbase was wild, and it was barely 11 a.m.
You somehow made it to the barricade, squeezing through the sea of people — all of this, for her. The things you did for your best friend. The heat was intense, the sun already blazing down, and there were no clouds to offer any relief.
Your best friend, always the social butterfly, was already chatting animatedly with a few others nearby. They were all Carats, all equally thrilled to be there. You stood beside her, nodding along, but truthfully, you were just hoping the time would pass quickly. Concerts weren’t really your thing, and although you liked the occasional song, this wasn't your scene.
But to your surprise, the crowd was lively yet well-behaved, and time seemed to move faster than you expected. The acts were fantastic — energetic, polished, and engaging. The organization was impeccable too. Staff moved through the crowd, offering free water and ice cream to keep everyone cool under the scorching sun. It was a thoughtful gesture, and it made the heat more bearable.
As the opening notes of the music filled the air, the crowd exploded into cheers and screams. Fans around you were losing their minds, singing along at the top of their lungs. You couldn’t help but laugh softly to yourself, amused by their enthusiasm. You weren’t as familiar with the songs, only knowing a handful of them, but there was one person on stage that you knew all too well.
Choi Seungcheol.
He commanded the stage effortlessly. His sleeveless shirt clung to his toned arms, revealing his muscles as he moved. The way he looked out over the crowd, scanning it with an intensity that seemed purposeful, sent a small shiver down your spine. His eyes swept over hundreds of faces, and then, as if by fate, they found yours.
The instant his gaze locked onto you, you saw something change in his expression. His eyes brightened, and for a moment, it felt like time slowed down. He started to make his way down from the stage, stepping right up to the barricade — right in front of you.
He sang directly to you, his voice rich and powerful, never breaking eye contact. The fans around you screamed louder, sensing something special in the moment, but you barely noticed them. It was like the world had shrunk down to just the two of you.
He had found you. And you knew exactly what that meant.
Tonight, at 10 p.m., you would meet him at the park near his hotel.
But how had all this happened?
Tumblr media
It started just a few days ago. Your sister had been at a K-pop party that Saturday night while you had decided to wander around Berlin. You’d had a craving for donuts and hot chocolate, so you found yourself in a quaint little café, settling down with your book. The smell of fresh pastries filled the air, and marshmallows floated in your steaming cup of hot chocolate as you opened the first chapter.
The bell above the café door jingled softly, and you glanced up to see a tall, handsome man walk in. You tried to refocus on your book, not wanting to be rude, but you couldn’t help overhearing the interaction at the counter. The cashier was struggling with English, and it was clear the man didn’t speak German.
With a sigh, you closed your book and stood up, walking over to the counter. “What do you want? I can order it in German for you,” you said with a small smile.
He looked relieved, smiling back at you. “I was just trying to order a water.”
“A water? Do you know it’s basically a rule to drink hot chocolate at this time of night?” you teased, laughing a little.
“I’m on a strict diet,” he said, pouting slightly.
“Not tonight,” you grinned. “I’m ordering you a hot chocolate. No arguments.”
He chuckled but didn’t resist. “If you insist.”
After placing the order, you paid for his drink and a donut, feeling a bit mischievous. As you turned back to him, you introduced yourself. “I’m Y/N, by the way.”
“I’m Seungcheol,” he replied, and your eyes widened in recognition.
Of course — the handsome stranger, the strict diet — it was your sister’s bias, Choi Seungcheol.
“You know who I am, don’t you?” he asked softly, a hint of something like disappointment in his voice.
You nodded. “Yeah, my sister’s a fan. We’re actually here for your concert.” You took a sip of your hot chocolate, trying to keep things casual.
“And you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. “Are you a fan too?”
You shook your head with a smile. “Not exactly. I’m just here for my sister. I know a few of your songs, but I’m not a big fan.”
His grin widened. “Well, I’ll take that as a compliment. At least you’ve heard of us.” He took a bite of the donut and sighed dramatically. “This is going to cost me an extra mile on my run tomorrow.”
You laughed. “Don’t stress about it. One donut won’t ruin you.”
Seungcheol looked thoughtful for a moment, then said, “You know, we’re always filmed from every angle. It messes with your mind sometimes, seeing all these sides of yourself that you don’t like.”
“I don’t think you have any bad sides,” you said, half-joking but also flirtatious, and he chuckled, wiggling his eyebrows.
“You think I’m good-looking?” he teased.
“As if you don’t already know that, Seungcheol,” you retorted, standing up to grab your bag.
“Leaving already?” he asked, quickly getting to his feet to follow you.
“I was planning on walking around a bit more. You’re welcome to join me if you want.”
He didn’t hesitate, and the two of you spent the rest of the night wandering through the quiet streets of Berlin. Time flew by as you talked, eventually finding yourselves at a small playground, where you lay side by side on the swings, gazing up at the stars.
“Will you be at the show tomorrow?” he asked softly, turning his head to look at you.
You nodded. “I’ll be there with my sister. She wants to be up front, so I guess I’ll be at the barricade.”
His eyes darkened with a playful intensity. “So, you’ll be watching me from up close, huh?” His hand gently brushed your cheek, sending a shiver down your spine. “I’ll make you a deal. If I find you in the crowd tomorrow, we’ll meet here again at 10 p.m., and... I’ll get my kiss.”
You gasped, cheeks flushing. “You want that kiss so badly?”
“You have no idea,” he murmured, and you found yourself nodding.
“Deal.”
Tumblr media
Now, just a few hours after the concert, you sat on the swing at the playground, replaying concert videos on your phone. He was half an hour late.
With a sigh, you put your phone away, feeling a sinking disappointment. Of course, you’d been foolish to think this could be real. Seungcheol was an idol — why would he be interested in someone like you?
As you walked away, you muttered under your breath, “Stupid. Stupid boys, stupid me.”
You were halfway back to the hotel when you felt a hand grab your arm, pulling you into the shadows. “I’m so sorry,” a familiar deep voice said.
You looked up, heart pounding. “Seungcheol?”
“I’m so fucking sorry,” he whispered. “We got held up with interviews, and when I finally got to the playground, you were gone. I had to find you.”
“I thought you played me,” you admitted softly, trying to hide the hurt.
“Never,” he said firmly. “I wanted to see you more than anything.”
You leaned closer to him, whispering, “Did anyone follow you?” He shook his head, his expression soft yet intense.
Without another word, you closed the distance between you, pressing your lips to his. The moment his hands pulled you closer, your heart raced, and your mind went quiet. His lips moved in perfect rhythm with yours, and the world around you seemed to disappear. That kiss—it made you feel alive in a way you hadn’t before.
He pulled away just enough to whisper against your lips, “Do you want to come upstairs? Fans could show up any minute now.”
You nodded, breathless. “Sure.”
You followed him through the quiet corridors, the space between you feeling like too much. The air was thick with tension and anticipation, every step increasing your need to be close to him again.
The door to his room had barely closed behind you before he had you against the wall, his hands exploring, his lips on yours again, more urgent this time. Every touch was electrifying, every kiss deepened the connection between you. It wasn’t just physical—it was intense, overwhelming, and all-consuming.
Time blurred as you spent the night tangled together, losing yourselves in each other. Moments of tenderness and passion intertwined as you explored each other’s bodies, finding new ways to make each other smile, gasp, and laugh. The intimacy was raw, yet filled with affection. By the time Seungcheol finally fell asleep, he was wrapped around you, his breathing soft and steady as he rested his head against your chest.
You lay there, your hand gently stroking his hair, your heart still racing from everything that had just happened. It wasn’t just about the physical connection—it was the unexpected bond that had formed between the two of you.
As the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, you stirred awake. Seungcheol was still asleep, his arms wrapped tightly around you, his breathing slow and peaceful. For a moment, everything felt perfect—like a dream you never wanted to end.
Tumblr media
But as you lay there, reality started to creep in. The world outside this room was different, harsher. Seungcheol wasn’t just any man; he was an idol, adored by millions. And you… you were just a girl from Germany, someone who had stumbled into his life by accident.
You sighed softly, careful not to wake him. It was easy to get lost in the fantasy here, in the quiet intimacy of the early morning, but what would happen when you left this room? He had a life in South Korea—a public, highly scrutinized life. And you? You had your life in Germany, far away from the spotlight and the complexities of fame.
Seungcheol stirred beside you, his eyes slowly fluttering open. He smiled sleepily, pulling you closer. “Good morning,” he whispered, his voice still heavy with sleep.
You smiled back, but the weight in your chest only grew heavier. "Good morning."
For a moment, you stayed there, wrapped in each other, neither wanting to face the inevitable. But as much as you wanted to stay in this perfect moment forever, you knew the conversation couldn’t wait.
“We need to talk,” you said softly, pulling back just enough to look him in the eyes.
Seungcheol frowned slightly, sensing the seriousness in your tone. “What’s wrong?”
You bit your lip, unsure of how to start. “This… last night, it was incredible. But you know we can’t keep this up, right? You’re an idol, Seungcheol. You live in Korea. And I… I’m just a girl from Germany.”
He sat up, his expression darkening. “What are you saying? That last night didn’t mean anything?”
“No, it meant everything,” you quickly reassured him. “That’s the problem. It meant too much. But you and I… we live in two different worlds. How can we possibly make this work? We just met, you don’t know me and I don’t know you“
Seungcheol ran a hand through his hair, frustration building in his eyes. “I don’t care about the distance. I don’t care about what anyone else thinks. I want to be with you.”
Tears stung your eyes as you shook your head. “But it’s not just about us, is it? You know how it is for idols. The fans, the media… if they found out, it would destroy you. It would ruin everything you’ve worked for.”
He clenched his fists, his jaw tightening. “I don’t care about any of that. I’ve spent my whole life doing what’s expected of me. For once, I want to do what I want.”
“But at what cost?” you asked, your voice breaking. “Do you really want to throw everything away for me? For someone who lives on the other side of the world?”
Silence hung between you, thick and suffocating. Seungcheol’s eyes softened, the fight draining out of him as the reality of your words sank in.
“I don’t want to lose you,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone before. And it’s funny because we just met, but we talked about things nobody knows.“
Tears slipped down your cheeks as you reached out, cupping his face in your hands. “I don’t want to lose you either. But we have to be realistic. We can’t be together… not like this.”
He closed his eyes, leaning into your touch. For a moment, you stayed like that, holding onto each other as if you could stop the inevitable from happening. But deep down, you both knew the truth.
With a heavy heart, you pulled away, grabbing your clothes and getting dressed in silence. Seungcheol didn’t stop you. He simply sat there, watching as you prepared to leave, his face a mask of heartbreak.
Before you left, you turned to him one last time. “Maybe one day things will be different. But for now… this is goodbye.”
His eyes were glossy, but he nodded, understanding that there was nothing more to say. "Goodbye, Y/N."
And with that, you left the room, your heart breaking with every step. As you walked down the hotel corridor, you realized that some love stories don’t have happy endings—not because they aren’t real, but because the world isn’t ready for them.
Seungcheol would always be a part of you, a memory tucked away in your heart. But your worlds were too different, the distance too great. And no matter how much you wished otherwise, some things were just not meant to be.
Seungcheol would just be a beautiful memory tucked away with he thought about lollapalooza 2024.

jeonghan is a devil in the disguise of an angel, everyone knows that. even carats adore his mischievous personality and tricks that he pulls on his members.
but the thing is that behind closed door, he truly is an angel. for you and only you.
“baby, do you want some coffee?” jeonghan asked, looking over his shoulder at you. his bare face was glowing, dark hair tucked behind his ear. he even let you put a hello kitty clip to keep them in one place. he was met with seungcheol’s teases but he ignored them.
“yes, please” you replied, eyes laser focused on the jenga tower in front of you.
it was 10 in the morning and you woke up like an hour ago from the sleepover you had with him and cheol. because they couldn’t join their members on tour, you decided to bless them with your amazing self.
“make me one too” cheol hummed and slowly but surely pulled out a wooden block.
now who jeonghan was to follow his leader’s orders?
you caught his cat-alike smirk painting on his lips and sighed.
“hannie, don’t be mean. make him a coffee too” you said, voice gentle. seungcheol looked at him confused, lips forming into a pout.
“listen to your partner…” he grunted and shook his head, adding more quietly underneath his breath “…if you don’t listen to me, listen to them at least”
couple of minutes later he joined you with three steaming cups. with your preferred coffee in your favorite mug and a simple one for seungcheol, even though he wasn’t a fan of plain black coffee. the oldest ignored that, just rolling his eyes.
you joined jeonghan to watch the boys practice, yet you two were slumped over the couch there.
in no time jeonghan began playing with your hair, fingers gently caressing through your h/c locks.
mingyu glared at you two curiously, nudging hoshi. the younger one grinned, heart melting upon the cute act of love blooming between you two.
jeonghan grabbed your face, cupping your cheeks and cooing at you.
“you’re so adorable, baby” he hummed and pecked your lips.
“but hannie, the boys–” you grunted through your squeezed cheeks. he just chuckled, mischievously smiling.
“i don’t care~” your boyfriend sing-sang happily “you’re my baby~”
placing another kiss on your lips, he hummed into it like a pleased cat that’s getting belly rubs.
“ew, get a room!” hoshi yelled, drawing a laugh from other members.
your cheeks turned beetroot red as you smacked jeonghan’s arm. he just shrugged and linked pinkies with you, playful smirk dancing on his features.
if jeonghan could, he’d give you the world, the stars, everything in this universe and back. and seeing you struggle or in pain was the last thing he wanted. but he knew that there are some things that you have to go through by yourself, like your finals.
“i could dress up as you and pretend i’m you!” your boyfriend teased one day when you clearly needed support, head almost blowing with the amount of knowledge you have to obtain.
so in times like this, when you’d spend nights studying and struggling with life, jeonghan knew that you need him. and that every thing, even a small one can be challenging.
“hannie, i made the bed today. i used a new–“ you started when he entered the bedroom. his eyes instantly went wide as jeonghan threw himself on the fresh sheets.
“ah, it smells so good!” he took a deep breath and hummed in delight. patting the spot next to him, he sent you a reassuring smile.
so you joined him, his arm almost instinctively wrapping around yours.
“my baby made the bed, good job” jeonghan smiled tenderly, brushing the strand hairs out of your face. you smiled, looking at his soft features “i’m proud, really. we’ll sleep comfortably tonight, hm?”
you nodded and turned, wrapping your arms around his waist and clinging onto your boyfriend like a koala.
“i’m tired” you mumbled quietly.
“i know, pretty. just a few moments more and you’ll rest. you’re so smart, you know? i believe in you” jeonghan kept reassuring you, his tender touch ghosting over your face “my cute baby, hm? no matter how you do on the exam, i’m proud of the effort you put in”
you smiled, inhaling the scent of fresh sheets and jeonghan’s cologne.
“my cutie…” he singsang and started lulling you to sleep with his angelic voice. not like you complained, you could use a nap either way.

bf!seventeen scenarios
you stirred in bed as you felt the pain become more and you curled up, closing your eyes as the cramps took over your body. you somehow managed to reach over the mingyu’s arm trying to shake him awake. “gyu”, you call out and he stirs awake beside you. he manages to turn on the bedside light and sees your teary eyes, sitting up immediately. you don’t have to tell him because he already knows. he’ll gently rub your back as he tells you that he was going to get you a hot water bottle. he’ll be back soon and the heat and warmth help. mingyu would gently scoop you in his arms as you rested your head on his chest and he’d rub gentle circles on your lower back to help ease the pain. “thanks”, you tell him softly and he hums in response. you’d fall asleep in his warmth and embrace and he’d not move, letting you sleep. he’d honestly hate seeing you in pain and would be glad you were feeling a bit better.
Tumblr media
“baby i need your help”, seungcheol calls out for you as he appears in the room. “what’s wrong?”, you ask. “i need help with my tie”, he says. “but i don’t know how to”. “i’ll teach you hm i just can’t seem to get it right today”, he explains. little did you know this was a lie and he just wanted you to do it for him because he’s a big baby and just wanted to sneak in those extra few minutes with you before leaving for the event. he tells you step by step as you furrow your brows in concentration as you try to follow him. “like this?”, you ask, not looking up, and you’re completely oblivious to the way seungcheol is looking at you with the most whipped smile. “yeah and just pull it now”, he says and you do. it looked proper and you pull it and adjust the tie on him, looking at him. “there, is that okay?”, you ask and he nods “perfect”, he says as you straighten his blazer. you’re about to step back but he doesn’t let you go, bringing his arms around your waist. “aren’t you forgetting something?”, he prompts. “um no?”, tell and he proceeds to pout his lips, asking for a kiss. “really cheol”, you say, rolling your eyes but you give him a kiss nonetheless. and now seungcheol would always ask you to do his tie for him.
Tumblr media
dokyeom singing you to sleep if you had trouble falling asleep. he’d hold you in his arms as he caressed your hair and softly sang to you. he’d sometimes send you voicemails of him singing so you could listen to them if he wasn’t able to be with you at that moment.
Tumblr media
late-night calls with wonwoo who would be there to comfort you if you were having a hard time sleeping or having a bit too much anxiety. he'd distract you by telling you about his day and anything fun and interesting that's happened and you'd listen, the distracting helping. listening to his voice always brought you comfort and make you feel safe.
Tumblr media
late-night period cravings with chan and that's how he was now driving you to the nearest mcdonalds drive through. he'd be more than happy to drive you and even offer to get it delivered but you wanted to go out, sick of being in bed all day. he'll know your order by heart and watch as you eat, content. and he'd just be happy because you were happy. he loved seeing you smile and he loved the way your laugh sounded in his ears. and of course, you steal a few bites of chan's burger because somehow what he orders was always good.

Jeonghan is getting Mental Rocks thrown at him - Tristen
Master List | Prev | Next
Tumblr media
Loud music blasted out of the car speakers as wind blew your hair in every direction. The weather was perfect, a warm summer day with a cool breeze. It was practically law to have the windows down on a day like this.
Seungcheol had insisted on a summer trip, it was an annual thing. Something for Seokmin, Cheol, and yourself to look forward to. It was a beach trip, the coast wasn’t too far and the drive was enjoyable, to be fair Seungcheol didn’t let either you or Seokmin drive his car.
Leaning over the center console, Seokmin turned up the radio. Dialing it up to a healthy thirty.
“Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left-hand man
I love you when you're singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
'Cause you're gonna sing the words wrong”
You and Seokmin sang the lyrics, nearly screaming.
“Hey! Don’t lose your voices before we get to the shore!” Seungcheol yelled over the music, but his own voice was barely heard due to both the music and your screeching.
The oldest gave up on scolding and focused on the road. “You guys are going to regret yelling…” He muttered.
“What?!” You yelled.
“Can’t hear you!” Seokmin joined in your teasing.
The beach was never your favorite place but being with friends made it so much better. It was a treat, something all three of you deserved with how busy your lives were. Seungcheol saved up some extra cash, more than the group agreed on, so that you had enough money to spend a whole week away from stress. Both you and Seokmin were a little miffed, though you appreciated daddy’s wallet.
“Stop calling me that!”
“Calling you what?” You and Seokmin asked innocently.
“That name! Da- I can’t even say it!”
“What’s wrong… Daddy?” Seokmin asked while batting his eyelashes.
Seungcheol squatted on the ground, releasing a loud sigh during his descent. “I give up.”
You and Seokmin shared a high-five before the two of you checked into the hotel, leaving Seungcheol to brood in the lobby.
Mornings were spent sleeping in, days were spent going to the beach or pool and nights were spent drinking while watching horribly rated movies. Overall, it was paradise. The three of you shared a single room with two beds, it was cheaper that way, and it was a raffle as to who shared a bed. Some nights you and Seokmin shared one, other times you would wake up to Seokmin and Seungcheol sleeping in each other's arms. You were always sure to snap a few pictures as figurative black mail before you jumped on the bed and annoyed them until they woke up.
Seungcheol coughed as you accidentally elbowed him in the gut. “Ah- Sage settle down-”
What?
“Why did you wake us up so early, Sage?”
That wasn’t your name, it was-
Tumblr media
“Sage!”
Your eyes shot open and you were met with the familiar face of Mingyu. He seemed mildly worried, but it faded as soon as he saw you woke up. Leaning back into the chair beside the bed, he ran a hand through his hair.
“Finally-” He sighed in relief. “I felt like I was trying to wake you up for the past twenty minutes.” A small smile formed on his face, canines just peeking from his lips.
You watched him as he spoke, but once he finished his sentence you quickly observed your surroundings. Dark cherry wood floors with ebony wood furniture. Bookcases lined the wall behind the bedframe and a spiral staircase led to a balcony that rested over the bed. A large window was built into the wall across from you, the architecture was familiar but you couldn’t quite place it.
“Where am I?” You asked, concerned while clutching your amulet.
Mingyu grabbed your hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “It’s okay, you’re in Wonwoo’s room. He’s letting you sleep here for the time-”
Nearly jumping out of bed, you skipped toward the door. “Sorry- As much as I appreciate it, I have to go-”
The door didn’t budge, it was locked.
“What the hell is this?”
Mingyu rose from his seat as his expression turned forlorn. “I’m sorry, Sage… It’s for your own safety…”
A strong wave of sorrow and remorse hit you as Mingyu spoke, he was always honest with his emotions, never hiding them from anyone.
“What do you mean? Don’t tell me-” You started to fume as ideas filled your head. “Don’t tell me you’re working with the Archivist right now?!” The amulet was searing against your palm, but you tolerated the pain.
There was a shift in Mingyu’s expression. He furrowed his brow as he was filled with confusion. “Working with Archivist Jeon? What- Where is this coming from, Sage?” He took a step closer to you. “You should lay back down-”
“Stay away from me!” You shouted, but regretted it as soon as you saw Mingyu flinch. “Please… Take me back home…”
“I wish I could, Sage…” Mingyu held his hand out to you. “Please, sit down. I’ll explain the situation.”
You loosened your grip on the door handle and walked toward Mingyu. Ignoring his hand, you sat on the edge of the bed as Mingyu went back to his chair. The two of you sighed in unison as you settled in.
“We found you in the lake again…” Mingyu spoke, voice shaking.
The statement made you perk up in interest and panic. Clutching your chest you took a deep breath as you felt your pulse rise.
“Minghao, our Diviner, he saw you in a vision… drowning.” Mingyu’s eyes reddened as tears began to form. “For a moment we thought we were too late, but we revived you. It just took a lot .”
He sniffed as he tried to stop himself from choking up. “Dokyeom patched you up again, I was going to but I’m too weak .”
Your heart filled with sadness and the feeling of failure, similar to how Dino felt a little over two weeks ago. Just a deep pit of insecurity and guilt.
“Mingyu…” You felt awful and wanted to stop what he was feeling, for your sanity and his.
Rising from your seat on the bed, you walked over to Mingyu and wrapped your arms around his shoulders. You didn’t know what got into you a moment ago, your friend was hurting and your actions weren’t helping. With a tight squeeze you felt his shoulders start to shake. Using a little bit of your magic, you calmed his nerves, at least stopping the tears.
“I didn’t mean to yell at you earlier… I was just a little out of it.” You reassured him. “And if you keep crying I’m going to cry.”
Mingyu chuckled into your shoulder as he reciprocated the hug. “I think we’re all feeling a bit weird after last night.”
You released Mingyu from your hold and ruffled his hair a bit before returning to your bed. “So…” You paused for dramatic effect, hoping to lighten the mood. “What the fuck’s wrong with me?”
Mingyu wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. “We don’t know… Dino examined you and said there was some physical damage. He said you’ll probably have bad headaches and a bad cough. I should be able to help with any discomfort.”
Nodding along you wondered, what the hell has been happening to you? It wasn’t just passing out, there were moments where you lost yourself and could barely remember why you acted out. A twinge of panic made you fear the worst, that your condition had become a bigger issue. Losing consciousness, bleeding from your nose, and intense migraines could not be a good sign.
“Did Archivist Jeon say anything?” You were weary with your question.
Mingyu shook his head. “No, not really. He just said to give you his bed, that he will sleep in his office…” He thought some more. “I hope you don’t hate him. Wonwoo might be hard to read, but he means well…”
“I understand, Gyu but-” You sighed, remembering the night Jeonghan was harmed by the Archivist. “From what I’ve seen of him… he kind of scares me.”
“Oh… I’m sorry.”
“No-no! You don’t have to apologize for anything Gyu!” You said while placing your hand on his, trying to keep eye contact so he could see your sincerity. “I have my own problems and you don’t have to worry yourself with them. I don’t hate Archivist Jeon, I just- I’m a bit intimidated.”
“I can tell.” Mingyu scoffed in a playful manner. “You still use only his title and surname after more than half a year.”
Falling back onto the bed with a sigh you stared at the ceiling, not wanting to think about the Archivist anymore. The weight of the amulet on your chest was heavy, a lingering warmth clinging to the metal.
“Well…” Mingyu cleared his throat. “Now that we’ve calmed down, are you hungry? I brought some food with me.”
You sat up with a big smile on your face. “Yes, that sounds amazing. I didn’t realize until now that I’m starving.”
Tumblr media
The lake was cool and dark most summer nights, but tonight it was warm and serene. Maybe in reality the water was no different but it was Jeonghan's sense of gratification that made the lake feel that much better. It was too easy to lead Sage under the water, mere child's play due to the power of the amulet.
Jeonghan glided through the water, studying Sage’s unconscious form as he swam around their current state. The naive human’s eyes were clouded over due to his Siren Song, the only useful thing his family had ever given him. Magic as ancient as the primordial Psyche of a Siren was unrivaled, and that pleased Jeonghan.
He knew this couldn’t last forever. As much as he would have preferred to see how far Sage could last, he still needed them. The Siren was about to bring the younger to the surface, but a white light in the direction of the shore alerted him that he was no longer alone. Another kind of ancient magic, he could basically taste it in the water he was breathing. Filled with disdain, Jeonghan swiftly swam away, fleeing the scene before he was caught.
Swimming deeper into the lake, Jeonghan made his way toward his home. Hidden beyond a thick kelp forest the elevation gradually rose. A dull gold glow bled through the water's surface and when Jeonghan’s face breached he was met with a cave entrance. Vines dangled from the cave ceiling, the vegetation growing bulbs that acted as lanterns. Jeonghan climbed out of the water and breathed in the humid air as his skin adjusted to the change in moisture.
He wound through the dimly lit tunnels until he approached a polished archway. With the wave of his hand he dispelled the ward and entered the threshold beyond. It was a leisure room, an area Jun insisted on when he found Jeonghan’s hideaway, he was too observant for his own good. There was only one couch and two chairs with a stone slab Jun conjured to act as a coffee table. A reclaimed bookcase covered in dried barnacles sat on the back wall, mainly housing poetry books and old scrolls on Conjuration spells, Jun’s preference in magic.
Jeonghan recast the ward on the entrance and lazily walked to the west end of the room to his bedroom. He unlocked the door and once he entered he locked it behind him. The room was sparse save for a large bed that had lamps resembling jellyfish hanging over it. On the opposite wall was his study, a large bookcase with a desk pushed against it. Engraved in the stone of the desk was a ritual circle, the sigils belonged to the school of Necromancy.
With a sigh he ran a gentle hand over the patterns in the stone, even after years of practice Necromancy continued to evade him. He knew he couldn’t force it, he needed time for the magic to ingrain itself into his Psyche. Apparently over three hundred years wasn’t long enough…
Echoing footsteps followed by the sound of grinding stone pulled Jeonghan from his thoughts. He returned to the main room and saw the source, Junhui walked down from the surface using their hidden stairs. The bookcase was more than just a decoration.
The blond noticed Jeonghan but paid him no attention as he took a seat on the old couch.
“You were out late…” The older said as he claimed one of the chairs.
Junhui scoffed. “You’re one to talk… Did you know the Arcanist’s are going crazy up there?” He gestured upward, referencing the surface.
“Oh? I had no idea.”
“Jeonghan…” Jun massaged his temples. “I know what you’re doing and it isn’t safe. What are you going to do if this game you’re playing permanently damages them?”
“No one is going to find out-”
Junhui groaned loudly, interrupting Jeonghan. “But I did! You know what these Arcanist’s do to us stowaways. You could be imprisoned- or worse, exiled and I prefer an Arcanist prison to what the other realms do to our kind…”
“You’re acting as if you’re involved-” Jeonghan sighed, clearly annoyed. “-and you aren’t so stop freaking out, it’s bothersome.”
“This isn’t a game, Jeonghan!”
“And I’m not treating it like one!” Jeonghan’s tone was stern. “Do you really think that’s what this is?”
Junhui frowned as he furrowed his brow. “Then what is it?”
A long silence filled the room as Jeonghan stared down Jun, but the blond did not waver, he stood his ground.
“Sage has something I want.” A sadistic smile spread across Jeonghan’s face. “No one knows their potential more than me…”
Sages’s talent was so unique that only one Arcanist had it in the past, but due to The Cataclysm all records were erased. A vein in Jeonghan’s forehead pulsed as he remembered he no longer had the last piece of that history taken from him.
“And you, Junhui, made a huge mess of my plans…”
“What?” Jun raised his brow. “Don’t put this on me! Like you said, I have nothing to do with this!”
“Oh really? Then why did you give dear old Wonwoo my journal?”
“That smelly thing?” A thin layer of sweat covered Jun’s face. “It had some old writing in it and I saw Wonwoo’s name written in it. Also you treat me like shit! Did it ever occur to you that maybe when you treat others like they are below you it backfires?”
“Careful, Junhui…”
Jun stood from his seat. “No- I think it’s time I tell you how I really feel-” The volume of his voice rose unbearably loud in the confines of the room. “I never wanted to be a part of the royal family! The Yoon’s? What a fucking joke! Your father only married my mother so that he could have an heir! But guess what? We’re both Stowaways! I ended up just like you because it was ‘You’ll be replacing Jeonghan!’ , ‘If only Jeonghan was here!’ I couldn’t take it anymore-”
Jun was pacing now, running his hands through his hair. “We’re more alike than you want to admit… You know that right, Jeonghan? In Siren Society we are nothing but bottom feeders!”
“ Junhui~ Sit down and shut your mouth.” Jeonghan ordered in a soft voice.
With complete obedience Jun sat back on the couch and ceased talking. He strained as he tried to fight the song in his mind. Jeonghan’s voice bounced off the walls of his mind, maddeningly loud.
Jeonghan stood and strolled over to Junhui. “I’m not one for violence, Jun… But-” He brushed the back of his against the blond’s cheek. “There are other ways to hurt you, brother…”
Jun looked up at Jeonghan with his gray-blue eyes, tears slightly forming. The older sneered as he withdrew his hand.
There was a malevolent glint in Jeonghan’s eyes. “Actually, I think I have a use for you… Since you threw yourself into my plans.” He grabbed Junhui’s chin, forcing him to keep eye contact. “I’m in need of a scapegoat and I think you’d do wonderfully .”
Tumblr media
Despite your general discontent, you had to admit, the bed was really comfortable. The mattress was softer, the pillows more plush and the blankets warmer than your own. You just wished Eris gained her strength back so she could act as a space heater, she claimed to hate it, but you knew deep down she enjoyed the cuddling.
When you woke up it was still dark out. You slowly sat up and looked around. No one was with you, part of you wished Mingyu stayed over just in case you got bored and decided to make a pillow fort. A low grumble came from your stomach.
“Damn…” You mumbled to yourself. “I should have eaten more.”
You searched for a light in the darkness, but gave up when you found none. It didn’t truly matter as the moon was still big and bright in the sky. The large window let in plenty of the silver light, enough for you to walk around without stubbing your toe.
Bored, hungry and still a little tired, you walked aimlessly around the room. You couldn’t read any of the books without a light and there was no way you were getting past the door. With a sigh you looked out the window. The room was elevated enough that you could see the courtyard and flat meadow that sat just outside of Diamond Hall’s wall.
“Eris?” You called out into the room, hoping for a response.
When you were met with only silence you sighed and returned to bed. Once your head hit the pillow you closed your eyes and tried to relax, ignoring the growling of your stomach.
“How are you feeling?”
You startled awake, sitting up with a swiftness that surprised you. The surrounding room was no longer dimly lit by the moon, it was pitch black. Looking down, you couldn’t even see your own hands.
“Hello? Who’s there?”
A low, staccato chuckle sang out as a pale face appeared from the darkness, Jeonghan. Silvery light returned to the room, but everything was blurry, like a camera lens that was out of focus. The only sharp image was your raven haired friend. Standing before you smiling.
“Thought I lost you for a moment. Glad to see you are well…” His voice was pleasant as he spoke to you.
“What exactly happened?” You massaged your brow as you felt the beginnings of a headache. “I remember visiting the lake with you, but then everything goes fuzzy… Mingyu said I was drowning-”
“- Don’t worry about what Mingyu says. ” Jeonghan sauntered up to the bed and sat along its edge. “All that matters is that you’re okay.” He cupped your face gently, a ghost of a touch.
You sighed as you leaned into his hand. Seeing Jeonghan eased your nerves and soothed your mind into a tranquil silence. Gently, he pulled you in for a hug, patting the back of your hair as you sank into the embrace.
“Lay down, Sage. Go back to sleep.” Jeonghan sang in your ear. “I’ll look after you until you…” His voice trailed off for a moment. “Wake up.”
Once again you were opening your eyes, but this time you were met with the morning sun. It must have just been a dream, even if it felt so real.
Before you could think anymore about it there was a soft knock at the door. You turned, expecting either Mingyu or Dino to peek their head in, but it was Ruby. His little eyes lit up when he saw you and he trotted over to the bed. You lifted him up and placed him in your lap, giving his fluffy face a squish.
“Hello, Ruby! What are you doing here, bud?’ As you spoke to the small critter, Jihoon entered the room.
You offered him a welcoming smile before you focused your attention back on Ruby, rubbing his belly as he rolled over in your lap. The door remained open as Seungkwan entered the room.
“Good morning, Sage.” The Ward Mage said with a friendly tone. “Sorry it’s so early, but Jihoon insisted on visiting super early.”
“Oh- I don’t mind. Especially if I get to see this little dude.” You ruffled Ruby’s fur and giggled as he shook his head.
“Well- I didn’t come over just so you could see Ruby…” Jihoon trailed off, he seemed nervous.
Your expression turned puzzled. “Okay… Then why did you come to visit if it wasn’t to say hello to your good friend, Sage?”
Jihoon sighed. “Seungkwan?” He motioned for the other to come closer. “Since you weren’t able to yesterday…”
Tilting your head, you watched as Seungkwan stepped closer to the bed. He pulled a raw chunk of quartz out of his component pouch and handed it to you.
“Uh…” You stuttered, confused.
“Just hold it for a moment.” Seungkwan said as he situated himself on the chair beside the bed.
He procured a notebook from his pocket along with a pen. “I’m just going to ask you a few questions, is that okay?”
“Okay?” If it was just questions you were fine.
“Alright.” Seungkwan flipped open his notebook. “How are you feeling right now?”
“Is this like a therapy session? Or…”
“Focus. Sage…” Seungkwan scolded as he side-eyed you.
“Sorry.” You took a deep breath and thought for a moment. “Currently? I feel pretty tired, kinda hungry. I guess emotionally I’m a bit blank, I mean, I just woke up.”
Seungkwan observed you and then the crystal in your hand. He started to scribble something in his notebook. This made you look down at the piece of quartz, it was clear and pristine.
“Do you remember anything from last night?”
“Um-” You paused as you tried to recall the events of yesterday. “Last night specifically? Well, I remember jumping out my window to go to the lake…”
“Anything else?”
There was another moment of silence as you dug deep into your mind. “I met with someone… I think…”
Seungkwan looked at the crystal again only to write some more, presumably your answers, or something to do with the quartz. You glanced at the small mineral and watched as it grew cloudy.
“Have you been experiencing episodes of fixation bordering on obsession toward anyone?”
Well that seemed like a rather personal question. “No. I-”
“Sage…” Jihoon’s expression was stern and unimpressed.
Seungkwan held his hand up in the direction of the Pyromancer. “Don’t intervene, Jihoon. Sage needs to answer these questions, not you.” He returned his attention to you, offering a gentle smile to encourage you to keep speaking.
“Hm- Let’s see…” You weren’t going to lie to yourself, Jeonghan has been plaguing your mind recently. You just woke up from a dream about him, so that seemed like a safe answer. “J-Jeong-” It was hard to admit. “Jeonghan.”
Once again the crystal was studied and notes were written. Jihoon walked over and handed you a handkerchief, almost forcing it into your hand. You didn’t notice until you grabbed the cloth that there was a familiar warmth leaking from your nose.
Seungkwan reviewed what he had written in his notebook and held his hand out for you to return the crystal. As the small piece of quartz met his hand, he hissed in pain.
“Ah! What the-” He looked down at his hand, the skin was slightly pink. “Well that changes my diagnosis…”
Jihoon picked up the quartz, unfazed as he was used to extreme heat. He rolled the mineral in his scarred palm as he analyzed it.
“Um… What does the searing crystal mean?” There was worry in your voice.
“It means you’ve had a charm casted on you.” Archivist Jeon said as he entered the room.
Jihoon and Seungkwan snapped their heads back to address the tall man while you jumped. Why was he so quiet? Did the door even make any sound? And where was this dude’s footsteps?
“For the crystal to have such a reaction means the spell is of high power.” The Archivist continued his explanation. “Now the question is; Who would desire to cast such a nasty spell on you, Sage?”
“Do you think it could be Jeonghan?” Seungkwan turned as he asked you the question.
“What?” The idea shocked you. “No! Why would he? What could he gain?” You looked to Archivist Jeon as you asked your questions.
The Archivist only stared as you spoke to him, eyes cold and penetrating. It would have made you uncomfortable in the past, but you were used to it now. There was also the fact that the thought of Jeonghan, your friend, casting a malicious charm on you was preposterous.
“Really, Sage?” Jihoon said with contempt.
You sneered at his comment. “I just don’t see why he would do that…”
Archivist Jeon walked up to the bed and asked for the bit of quartz Jihoon still had in his hand. The crystal was still warm, but bearable. As he studied it he murmured an incantation, too quiet to understand, and the quartz turned back to its original clear state.
“Like I suspected, foul magic, a dirty trick…” The Archivist stood in front of you, leaning in close to your face.
You flinched at the proximity, but he didn’t move any closer. He was just simply examining your face, there was a knowing look in his eye, but he did not speak a word. Curiosity got the better of you, reaching out with your empathy, you tried to sense anything.
Familiarity, guilt and sorrow. The Archivist’s emotions ran deep, making you wonder what could cause such a flood of memories.
“Why do you feel guilty?” You asked the Archivist with innocent inquiry.
A long, drawn out sigh escaped Archivist Jeon as he straightened his back. “Because I fear I may know the reason why Jeonghan has taken an interest in you…”

gi-hun had never recovered from his losses. losing sang-woo was like losing another part of him. and though he'd only known the girl for days, he'd come to feel attached to kang sae-byeok. so, when he saw her again? he did not hesitate to run and to embrace her. she could shake him off, if she wished, but he was here. in her arms. crying now, desperate for a reprieve from the violence. "kang sae-byeok," gi-hun used her full name, sobbing into her shoulder. "i am so sorry. i am so sorry that i failed you. but i did not forget about what i promised you. I TOOK CARE OF YOUR LITTLE BROTHER. OF KANG CHEOL."

Somehow has normal, alive parents: Lee Jun-ho (Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Has no backstory at all. We only meet his older sister and hear nothing about his childhood.) Shin Ha-ri (Business Proposal, her family is refreshingly normal, right down to her brother being sent out to find her when she's drunk) Oh Han-byeol (Sh**ting Stars, Again, we know almost nothing about her family, only that she has twin sisters. But she doesn't appear to have childhood trauma.) Park Yeon-woo (The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, her mom being annoyed at her for something that is a crime doesn't count as bad parenting) Lee Young-joon/Sung-hyun (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, his trauma comes from a kidnapper, his parents faced a pretty impossible situation and did their best. They clearly love their kids) Baek Hyun-woo (Queen of Tears, nothing wrong with them out of the ordinary and they are in the drama a significant amount.) Ha Eun-gyeol (Twinkling Watermelon, very loving parents and the deafness and their reliance on him is not anyone's fault)
*Counting her as an orphan even though she gets her parents back after 20 years, she spent her childhood orphaned. ***This character is tricky because I understand why her mother wanted nothing to do with her, but her trying to manipulate the dad and also saying he didn't raise her properly made me so angry. ****This character is tricky because he was explicitly raised as an orphan by his grandma, his father didn't sign his birth certificate (Korean equivalent of this), and he's registered as the child of his grandmother, not his actual mom. His grandma is dead by the beginning of the series and he is living alone without family, so I think he counts as an orphan.
Uncatagorized due to lack of clarity on parents: Soundtrack #1, Hospital Playlist, Happiness

24H (S.Coups x Reader) (Part 3)
~Rachel~
Masterlist
Their expedition has nearly come to an end, and they realize they have no idea what's waiting for them. Even if they do find you, who's to say it'll be a pleasant sight?
Word count: 2.4k
Part 1
Today was going to be a good day.
Today was a rare day when Seungcheol had the strength to feel like his old self again. He could walk with the group, he could talk with his friends. He was even smiling and laughing with them as they sang their hiking songs. They were still hesitant to touch him, and that was probably working in their favor despite his high energy.
Joshua found himself hanging around the back and watching from afar today, occasionally joined by someone else, but not for long. Jeonghan floated back the most, but he, too, wanted to enjoy the energetic Seungcheol while he lasted. Joshua just couldn’t quite bring himself to do that. He felt partially responsible for what Seungcheol had been going through.
He wasn’t usually in charge like this, but with Seungcheol missing for the longest out of all but one or two of the other boys, Joshua had had to step up. It felt strange—it still did—but he had learned a lot about the kind of responsibility that came with, well, taking responsibility. He had assumed that Seungcheol would take back his spot on top when he was found, but whatever had taken them here had taken special care to twist Seungcheol into something distant and broken.
That was why Joshua felt responsible. He was ready to push leadership back onto Seungcheol as soon as he was ready, but he just kept being not ready, and that was frustrating.
If finding you didn’t fix him, Joshua wasn’t sure he could keep filling Seungcheol’s shoes like this. After working so hard to bring everyone back together, Joshua needed to rest, too, but he couldn’t until he could trust someone enough to take the reins.
Still, he smiled as he watched Seungcheol with the rest of the boys. There was no telling what was to come when they found the lights, but it was good to have some fun now.
Seungcheol cast a glance back at Joshua, who flinched when he realized he had been caught staring. It didn’t matter to Seungcheol, though, as he gestured for Joshua to come up to walk with the rest of the group. Joshua smiled again and obliged his request; he was starting to feel like the old times were coming back.
It didn’t last long, though, as they crested a hill and finally saw the focus of the lights. Just as Joshua and Jeonghan had predicted, in the center of a shallow valley sat a box. Rafters made up the top to let in the light, and through them, they could see blue walls, and maybe a shadow of a tree if they squinted.
Seungcheol could feel everyone’s eyes on him as they waited for him to react, and honestly, he had no idea where to begin trying to sort out his thoughts. He was afraid, he was hopeful, he was lost in memories of being stuck in a box just like that, of leaving the box, of feeling the vibrations your fingers made through the barrier, but nothing more. He could hear you, he could see you, and he could long for anything more than that, but he could never have it. And now that he could have it, he didn’t want it. He wanted to run away, he wanted to save you, he wanted to hold you in his arms as he apologized, he wanted to forget you ever existed.
“Cheol?”
“…going on? Cheol, are you okay?”
“Cheol, hey—”
He came to his senses and found himself on his knees in the grass, his hands grasping at clumps of it. He wasn’t sure how he ended up down there, but he didn’t want to get up. He sat back on his ankles and hid his face in his hands. “I’m not—” he admitted— “I’m not okay.”
Jeonghan and Joshua were down next to him on either side in an instant, each with a hand on his shoulder. He wanted to shy away, but he felt guilty pulling away when they were so readily there for him.
“Even if you’re not okay, can you be ready?” Woozi asked from just in front of them. “Because Hoshi and Seungkwan are running down the hill, and they’re not getting anywhere.”
The confusing nature of Woozi’s observation got Seungcheol to snap away from his panic for a moment. He was right; although Hoshi and Seungkwan were getting farther from everyone else, they were getting no closer to the box.
“Hyung,” Chan said, “we either go together or not at all.” He offered his hand to help Seungcheol up. “So let’s go together.”
Not at all sounded safer. However, as Seungcheol looked at the box, at Hoshi and Seungkwan trying desperately to get there themselves, and then at Chan’s hand, he knew that together was what he needed to do.
So he took the youngest boy’s hand and stood up. He wasn’t ready, but he was willing, and he hoped that could be enough. If everyone else was ready, then he could lean on their strength for now. Soon, he would be ready to let them lean on him again.
Hoshi and Seungkwan had noticed their predicament fairly quickly and had turned around to meet everyone else. With an appropriate amount of teasing, which Seungcheol managed to join in, they were allowed to rejoin the group. Only once they were all together did the box come closer.
It was suspended about 3 feet off the ground by a metal frame. If it was like Seungcheol’s box, one end was going to be open. They weren’t sure which side was facing them, but it wasn’t the front. Seungcheol was rather glad for this; if he had been able to see inside of the box, he would know exactly the fate that awaited him inside. Since he didn’t know which fate he was hoping to meet, it was easier to keep going forward.
Joshua, at the front of the group, chose to lead clockwise around the box. Now that they were so close, everyone’s steps had become careful and slow. Everyone except Joshua and Jeonghan had only heard the story of what Seungcheol’s box looked like, so they took their time in taking it in. Joshua took it slow because he was starting to understand why Seungcheol was so scared. If you weren’t here, then what? He had dragged everyone along for nothing.
He and a few others rounded the second corner and his gaze immediately found Seungcheol’s. Even from here, Seungcheol could see Joshua’s eyes shining as they filled with tears—and he genuinely had no idea if that was good or bad. Joshua gave him no further hints as he stepped away from the box, his hands moving up to his face to cover his mouth. He couldn’t gather anything from anyone else’s reactions, either, as no one was saying anything. They all seemed to be struck dumb, whether in shock or disappointment or relief, Seungcheol couldn’t tell.
He would have to look for himself. He could hardly force himself to do it as he finally stepped in front of the threshold to look through the entrance of the box, but he couldn’t tear his eyes away, either.
Especially as he saw you curled up into yourself inside, your hands over your ears as if you had fallen asleep covering them. You were breathing.
That same uncovered mattress kept you off of the brown dust that covered the ground, and the same blue walls surrounded you. The barrier in front barely made itself known with a light holographic shimmer. Seungcheol knew the sight all too well. It was the only view he had ever known before he was rescued.
His knees nearly gave out from under him as he tried to convince himself he wasn’t back in the box, and luckily, his friends were ready to catch him before he fell.
Hoshi, supporting Seungcheol under his right arm, called out, “So how do we get her out of there?”
Jeonghan answered. “From our side, the barrier should be like jelly. We can reach in and pull her through.”
You stirred at the sudden noise, your breath hitching and your hands beginning to press down on your ears.
“She’s awake!” Dokyeom exclaimed excitedly. “(Y/N)! We finally found you!”
A stressed whimper escaped your mouth and you turned your face further into the mattress. “Not again,” your voice came almost indiscernibly. Dokyeom’s face fell into confusion, as did many of the others’. Something was wrong.
“(Y/N)?” Joshua tried softly, kneeling down by the barrier.
“Stop,” you whispered, your voice tiny and terrified. You gasped as you struggled to breathe. “Make it stop, make it stop—it hurts, make it stop!”
All eyes went to Seungcheol, as if he should know what was happening. He wished he didn’t, but he did. The memory of the disconnection he felt still haunted him sometimes. He didn’t know what to do, though, as your condition now seemed to be worse than his ever was. Exactly how long ago had the sphere visited you, and what had it done to leave you this way?
Tomorrow is going to be a good day.
Hoshi’s hope from the night before surfaced in Seungcheol’s mind again. He had to do something. Now that you were here in front of him, he knew he had to do whatever he could to help you. Even if he wasn’t sure of the first step, he had to try.
He approached the box and pressed his hand through the barrier. With a pause and a glance back, he said, “I’m going to go inside. All the way, not just to drag her over and pull her through.”
No one was enthusiastic about that plan.
“If I get stuck inside, you can pull me back through like you did the first time,” he said, denying their protests.
“You can’t just keep your foot poking out?” Seungkwan suggested, mostly serious.
“It be fine,” Joshua stepped in. “And even if it’s not…we’ll figure it out.” This was the first real decision Seungcheol had made in a while, and Joshua wasn’t going to undermine him. “We’ll wait for you.”
Seungcheol supposed he hadn’t really noticed what it felt like to cross the barrier the first time, considering everything else that had happened then. Jeonghan was right; it felt sort of like a jelly membrane even though it didn’t stick to his skin. He climbed up into the box, half expecting Seungkwan to grab his shoe at the last moment.
The mattress wasn’t too far from the entrance, so it didn’t take more than a few steps on his knees for him to kneel beside you. You were still awake and your hands still pressed down on your ears, and now he could see your eyes squeezed shut although you seemed to be calming down. That was probably because it was quiet now; although Seungcheol hadn’t turned around to see them, he knew the rest of the boys must be watching with bated breath.
He had sort of expected memories of you before the box to surface once he met you again, like memories of the others had come back to him, but nothing was coming back. He knew your name, but only because Jeonghan told it to him. Kneeling there next to you, he was okay with that. He just hoped that this would work.
He gently set his hand on your arm, knowing this was the first time you had been touched in the two and a half years you had been in this place. He took a breath, intending to call your name in the same manner.
Instead, in a delayed reaction, you gasped and recoiled from his touch. You nearly flung yourself off the mattress in your attempt to get away from the unfamiliar sensation. That only resulted in more confusion, and you devolved into a shaking mess, curled up on your side once more.
You were mumbling to yourself, and Seungcheol could barely make it out. He had to hold his breath before he could really hear you.
“Make it stop, just let me sleep. Just let me sleep.”
He had been holding back tears all this time, but he couldn’t keep them at bay any longer. Even as tears began rolling down his cheeks, he had to keep trying to reach you.
“(Y/N),” he whispered, trying not to choke on his breath. “I’m sorry I took so long.”
Like a miracle, your eyes finally cracked open. Your pupils were dilated and your eyes refused to focus as you tried to find what had spoken to you, but it looked like you were trying to take a peek of the sun. Visual input was too straining.
“Are you real?” Your voice came quietly, but it was intentional and directed at Seungcheol. Your eyes shut once more, but you shakily lifted a hand from your ear.
He matched your tone. “I’m real.” He noticed your hand press down on your head behind your ear like you wanted to cover it again. As he reached for your hand, he asked, “I’m going to touch your hand. Is that okay?”
You recoiled again from the sound, even though he spoke softly and slowly. Instead of recovering your ear, you tangled your hand in your hair, which was still unchanged from the day Seungcheol had left, and from the day you had woken up in the box together.
Seungcheol didn’t know why he felt so sure about this, but he felt like this was exactly what he needed to do. “Can I touch you?” he asked again, making sure to speak clearly.
Unlocking your hand from its grasp on your hair, you tried to open your eyes and look at him again. You tried to reach for him, but your arm shook so badly as you tried to move it. “Please,” you said. “I have…I have to know.”
He didn’t need you to say it. He already knew what you needed to know, and he tried to ease you into the feeling of his hand holding yours.
He already had your palm safely in his hand before you flinched, but you weren’t pulling away now. Now, your fingers were tightening around his as you tried to embrace the sensation. Before Seungcheol knew it, you were crying, too.
And now that he could do something about it, he couldn’t control his instincts anymore. He had to have you wrapped in his arms that instant. As soon as he realized what he had done, he felt your arms tightening around him, too.

Black Out Review
The drama confirmed my beliefs about going and living in a big city where fewer people know one another.
Tumblr media
Go Jeong U has spent 10 years of his life in prison for the crimes he believes he didn't do.
As he comes back to his hometown, where the murders happened, Jeong U tries to find out who actually murdered the two girls.
I cannot believe I almost skipped this gem because I barely have time to watch anything nowadays.
The story is very well written and keeps the viewer's attention for most of it.
Even if you discover what happened before the leads there is still something interesting to see (how vile everyone is).
The only complaint I have thought of is that I wanted something more for Da Eun's (one of the victims) story.
Bo Yeong's family members are involved in the present and her death is the main one while Da Eun seems to be pushed away.
As for the characters I really enjoyed how clever Jeong U is, and even in his worst, he tries to think rationally.
Policeman No Sang Cheol and I had a pretty rocky start but he grew on me after a while and became one of the characters to look forward to seeing on screen.
I believe, all the actors did an amazing job to portray the characters and how annoying some of them were... I don't want to spoil too much but everyone was just great in the drama.
Overall, this is definitely one of my favourite mystery dramas from this year. Most of the moments felt important, it was interesting to see the characters, their reactions and actually finding out who did it.
9.5/10
