Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons
Feast day: March 19
 May 1
Patronage: The Catholic Church, unborn children, fathers, purity, immigrants, workers, against doubt and hesitation, and of a happy death
Saint Joseph is invoked by many titles including Terror of Demons. Venerable Mary of Agreda writes in Mystical City of God that when we call on the powerful and holy name of St. Joseph it terrorizes the demons, “The intercession of St. Joseph is most powerful, filling the demons with terror at the mere mention of his name by his clients."

The Patron Saint of EVERYTHING!
Declared the Guardian of the Universal Church by Pope Pius IX in 1870, Saint Joseph is one of the most beloved saints in the Christian world today. There are more churches and schools in America named after him than any other saint!
Besides his patronage of the Church, Saint Joseph is also prayed to as the patron of dying people, doubt, hesitation, interior souls, carpenters, craftsmen, engineers, fathers, laborers, and the countries of Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Korea, Mexico, and Vietnam.
In fact, many saints considered Saint Joseph the patron saint of...everything! Saint Andre of Montreal recommended that for every need all Christians should "Ite ad Joseph" – go to Joseph! And the many healings and other miracles that Saint Andre brought about through the intercession of Saint Joseph are testimony to the wisdom of this advice.

“I don’t know how one can think about the Queen of Angels and about when she went through so much with the Infant Jesus without giving thanks to St Joseph.” - St Teresa of Avila Today we celebrate the Solemnity of St Joseph the husband the Blessed Virgin Mary. He has been honoured in the Church for many centuries as a good husband and father. According to the Gospel of Matthew, Joseph was a carpenter and “a son of David”. The Gospels give us a picture of Joseph as a person, like Mary, of great sensitivity to the word of God. He hears and does the word. He is a provider for his family and an example to the young Jesus. Joseph found happiness not in mere self-sacrifice but in self-gift. In him, we never see frustration but only trust. His patient silence was the prelude to concrete expressions of trust. Our world today needs fathers. It has no use for tyrants who would dominate others as a means of compensating for their own needs. It rejects those who confuse authority with authoritarianism, service with servility, discussion with oppression, charity with a welfare mentality, power with destruction. Every true vocation is born of the gift of oneself, which is the fruit of mature sacrifice. Whatever our vocation, Whether to marriage, celibacy or virginity, our gift of self will not come to fulfilment if it stops at sacrifice; were that the case, instead of becoming a sign of the beauty and joy of love, the gift of self would risk being an expression of unhappiness, sadness and frustration. - Pope Francis, With a Father’s Heart #feast #saint #stjoseph #saintjoseph #catholic #christianity #jesus #christ #prayer #faith #spirituality #solemnity #popefrancis #inspirationalquotes #sacredart #kingdomofgod #carmelite #carmelites #peace #hope #love #courage #melbourne #australia #timorleste #holyfamily #blessedvirginmary #godthefather #virginmary https://www.instagram.com/p/CqAd_mOJ7E5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Saint Joseph.

Celebrating the Solemnity of St Joseph, Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary; of her was born Jesus who is called Christ. This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph; but before they came to live together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph; being a man of honour and wanting to spare her publicity, decided to divorce her informally. He had made up his mind to do this when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because she has conceived what is in her by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son and you must name him Jesus, because he is the one who is to save his people from their sins.’ When Joseph woke up he did what the angel of the Lord had told him to do.
