this is me just kinda chattin abt the different ways i conceptualize my autism vs my adhd but i put it under a read more because it truly is a text wall

hm im thinking abt th different ways i conceptualize my autism and my adhd. this has come about because like. all the characters i really relate to and see myself in are adhd ppl, but im a lot more conscious of my autism on a day 2 day basis??? and i think it’s like the difference between an outward facing disorder and an inward facing disorder but honestly i still haven’t worked out which is which because i think DEFINITELY at one point my autism wasnt Really visible from the outside because i was doing such a solid job with masking that like. if u weren’t close to me there’s no way u wouldve known because i hid it all but my adhd in the past has always been more of an outward thing??? like i was insufferable in high school because i want really correcting for adhd?? but like..... it’s almost switched???? like there are DEFINITELY still outward facing symptoms of adhd that i have like my inability to keep my room clean and i do love a good infodump but like. for the most part and almost entirely in public i can and do control my adhd??? like. i drink enough coffee to knock out a horse and if u looked at my computer screen i would 100% be on buzzfeed but at this point it seems like my battle with adhd is mostly in my head like im fighting myself and like when im not working or in school or w/e i can mostly let myself do what i want??? whereas like. my autism these days definitely feels like a battle im fighting against the outside world. like i used to mask but now i stim in public, i go nonverbal, ive had both public meltdowns and shutdowns on campus and like part of that is probably that i was experiencing moderate/severe burnout spring semester before ppl left (caused by being in my parents house) but like. its gotten to the point where fuck my house, i can’t leave my room without headphones so i can regulate my own sensory input. so like my autism has become that s more visible from outside my person??? like strangers can watch me stim all the time. and like of COURSE there;s parts of my autism that r fully internal and parts of adhd that r probly visible to the outside. ther;s no concrete ending to this post i think im just rambling to work out my own thoughts on things but idk. i think this is an interesting way to conceptualize it but idk if this is How I Want To Think Abt Things lol anyway if u read this far thank u!!! for indulging me i love you!!!!!
