I have actually made a weird mix of musicians in my discussions on those that are bad at their albums. I mean, I'm basically making a club of old crooner, old rockers and many Eurodancers. However, the latter could give the other two a piece of advice, i.e. they released a lot of singles and strung them together for their LPs. Thus, they did what I joked in my previous post – the best-ofs with some bonus tracks. Aqua, for instance, recorded the tune on the link for their debut, but the piece does veer too much into a fake exotica vibe without noticing why the original genre works. Then again, where else could they go? They set a strange identity as a group and they did try to confront with one of their hits, yet the prominence of their biggest hits caused them to become a punchline.

Aqua is a Danish-Norwegian pop group best known for their 1997 single 'Barbie Girl'. The group formed in 1989 and as of 2021 have released three albums: 'Aquarium' (1997), 'Aquarius' (2000) and Megalomania (2011).

The band is made up of two vocalists, René Dif (born 1967) and Lene Nystrøm (born 1973), a keyboardist, Søren Rasted (born 1969), and guitarist, Claus Norreen (born 1970). Aqua split up in 2001 to focus on solo careers, but regrouped in 2008. After the release of their third album, they split once again but began working together once more in 2016.

'Barbie Girl' was the group's third single and caused a lot of controversy due to several double entendres in the lyrics. Whilst the song is based on the popular 'Barbie' doll, the song contains several sexual innuendos, such as, "You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere", "You can touch, you can play", and "Kiss me here, touch me there, hanky-panky."

The song also caused problems with the 'Barbie' doll makers Mattel, who filed a lawsuit against the group. The lawsuit was dismissed by a judge in 2002, who ruled, "The parties are advised to chill."

'Doctor Jones', released in 1997, was Aqua's fifth single. The song is loosely based around the 'Indiana Jones' character. The lyric "Dr. Jones, wake up now" may be a reference to the film 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' (1984), in which one character implores Jones to "wake up" after being brainwashed.

Vorwort

Das hier Aufgeschriebene will ich nicht als Abrechnung ansehen. Es ist für mich nur sehr wichtig gewesen, mir das von der Seele zu schreiben. Hat mich belastet, eingeschränkt in vielen Bereichen meines Lebens.

Zu vielem Erlebten ändert sich die Einstellung im Laufe des Lebens, wird abgemildert durch die vielfältigen Situationen, die man so passiert. Geht auch mir so, bis zu einem bestimmten Grat. Da stockt es.

Dass niemand fehlerlos ist, weiß ich. Fehler zu machen heißt ja auch, aus ihnen zu lernen. Und ein Leben so sittsam und rein, ist wie ein träger Fluss, der sich kaum bewegt, wäre auch langweilig.

Mein Leben ist also immer wieder gerissen, Knoten mussten geknüpft werden, damit es weiterging. Ich bin oft gefallen, aber auch wieder aufgestanden, wenn auch hin und wieder mit wackligen Knien.

Ein paar Fragen sind nie beantwortet worden. Antworten die ich aber gebraucht hätte, um zu verstehen. 

Alles hier Aufgeschriebene ist natürlich nur aus meiner Sicht betrachtet, aus meinem Erleben. Ich kann für andere Beteiligte nicht das Wort ergreifen, nicht deren Gefühle bestimmen.

Er hat schon recht der Søren Kierkegaard wenn er sagt:

„Verstehen kann man das Leben rückwärts, leben muss man es aber vorwärts."

Und wenn man LEBEN von rechts nach links liest, NEBEL, dann weiß man auch, warum so vieles sich uns erst erschließen muss.

Aufräumen. All das entrümpeln was einen all die Jahre belastet hat. Nicht chronologisch, sondern so, wie mir zum Mute ist. Mein Vater würde, wäre er noch am Leben, dazu nur sagen: „Schlampig. Was soll man denn auch von einer Schlampe anderes erwarten.

Jetzt fehlt nur noch der Einwand: „Es lag in deiner Hand. Du hättest nur aufräumen müssen, ordentlicher sein, dann wäre das Wort nicht gefallen, und hätte dich somit nicht verletzen können."

Viele Dinge weiß man bekannterweise später, begreift die Tragweite erst im Nachhinein.

Etwas zu verdrängen ist die einfachste Lösung, doch auf Dauer tötet es die Seele.                   

Der "rote" Faden

 Jetzt lag ich weinend auf diesem Stapel ...Jonas der mich festhielt, um bei seinem Bruder nicht in Ungnade zu fallen, stand dabei auf einem kleinen Stapel. Das Holz rutschte, es tat weh im Rücken. Dirk hob jetzt meinen Rock hoch. Ich strampelte mit den Beinen, trat um mich, schrie und bekam eine Ohrfeige.

„Sei still, sonst ... „Er zückte sein Taschenmesser, zog mein Höschen bis zu den Knien herunter und, fasste zwischen meine Beine.

„Was haben wir denn da?" Ich schwieg. „Hast du meine Frage nicht gehört?", knurrte er.

„Doch", antwortete ich leise.

 Zurückblicken. Höhen und Tiefen analysieren. Festhalten der besonderen Momente.

Oder auch Erinnerungen konservieren. Ich habe es gemerkt, als ich meine Mutter verschiedenes gefragt habe, sie ist fast die einzige aus der Familie, die ich zu jenen Erinnerungen fragen kann, als ich selbst noch zu klein war, um eine bewusste Erinnerung daran zu haben. Vieles ist ihr entfallen. Einiges kam durch mein direktes Fragen wieder. Trotzdem bekam ich auf ganz viele Dinge keine erschöpfende Antwort mehr." Ach Mädchen, das ist schon so lange her," hörte ich stattdessen. Jeder von uns hat mal eine Zeit, wo einen das nicht unbedingt interessiert, wie es war als die Eltern jung waren, als sie Kinder waren. Sie erzählten es gelegentlich, aber entweder war man da noch zu jung, um das, was sie erlebten, alles zu begreifen, oder man hat sich mehr mit sich selbst beschäftigt.

Wenn man dann selber Kinder hat, und die Zeit rast, dann kommt der Zeitpunkt, wo man sich dafür interessiert. Oft ist es dann zu spät. Um den eigenen Kindern ein Stück weit aus seiner Zeit zu erzählen, bevor einen vielleicht das Vergessen ereilt, habe ich das hier mal festgehalten.

Erinnerungen scheinen Verstecken mit uns zu spielen. Sie tauchen auf und verschwinden wieder. Teilweise nur bruchstückhaft und man rätselt dann eine Weile herum, wie war das doch gleich ...

Ich werde auch hier in diesem Buch das Erlebte so stehen lassen, wie es die Erinnerungen hoch gespült haben. Dass man sich des öfteren vom hundertsten ins tausendste verfranzt, passiert. Das jetzt alles zu sortieren und schön perfekt in Reih und Glied setzen, mag ich nicht. Denn das bin nicht ich. Mich muss man Querbeet nehmen.

Vorwort

Meine Seele entrümpelt und das sehr tränenreich habe ich 2018. Es hat so vieles hochgespült, Dinge, die ich nie jemanden erzählen wollte, Dinge, für die ich mich auch schäme. In diesem Jahr folgte dann "Weißt du noch ...?" mit den Erinnerungen, die lockerer angegangen sind. Auch zwei Freundinnen schrieben vereinzelt einige Erinnerungen mit hinein.

Jetzt aber kommt es noch einmal dicke. Den Titel "Das Leben macht aua" hätte ich auch nehmen können. Denn das tut es eindeutig. Wenn ich mal an der Himmelstüre klopfen sollte, dann dürften nicht mehr all zu viele Sünden von mir bereinigt werden müssen, denn ich habe die Bumerangs ziemlich zügig wieder zurück  bekommen.

Man spricht immer vom Zug des Lebens. Unsere Erinnerungen sind demnach Haltestellen, die uns, so wie man nach einem Urlaub die gemachten Fotos betrachtet, einen neuen Blickwinkel auf jene Zeiten geben. Dann liegt es an einem selbst, diese Erinnerungen für sich zu analysieren.

So offen, wie ich es für mich vertreten kann, habe ich jetzt diese Erinnerungen freigegeben. Sie sind nach wie vor nicht chronologisch, sondern bunt zusammengewürfelt, denn nur so kann man zwischendurch mal Luft holen.

Alles hier Aufgeschriebene ist natürlich nur aus meiner Sicht betrachtet, aus meinem Erleben. Ich kann für andere Beteiligte nicht das Wort ergreifen, nicht deren Gefühle bestimmen.
