I am rather certain that the “Grey” in “Grey Wardens” does not refer to their hair, and yet, I am just as sure that I saw the Hero of Ferelden with such. I thought I had seen an apparition, and yet, it really was her—her world-renown black hair, long and voluminous, now white and wispy.

Yet even stranger was the look of utter exhaustion. Gone was her regal figure, in its place was a look of tiredness, stooped shoulders, her gear on the grass, her back against a tree. I don’t think she realized that I had spotted her.

I suppose even the Hero of Ferelden, Her Royal Majesty, is not invulnerable.
