The Calendar lyrics theory

Um hi! I'm real sorry i fucking vanished but like whatever ya boy is fucking BACK with another banger panic post So like Brendon confirmed that The Calendar was about Ryan and Jon leaving the band, and there's been all these Ryden truthers (me too so preach) saying that the line "At night your body is a symphony, and I'm conducting.." is about Ryan and Brendon's secret relationship. Which, okay, I can see it. Why else would you keep a clearly sexual line in a song about your ex band members and their departure from the band? Well here this one's for all you anti Ryden (or rydon, go off whatever) sillies who don't wanna think about that. Keep in mind, everything that I'm about to say about these lyrics is a THEORY and my own interpretation. I'm just trying to read into what we have but as far as I'm aware nothing of this has been confirmed (or denied) so here's my thoughts. The line is not only referring to a sexual relationship, possibly even between Brendon and Ryan, but also referring to the band members leaving. These lyrics are a sort of double entendre, if you will, but I believe they were intended to stay with the meaning of the rest of the song. The "body" in question isn't necessarily a sexual partner, instead the "dead body" of the early years of the band. Brendon knows that the band will never be the same, not without Ryan and Jon- especially Ryan, as he was the primary lyricist throughout the first two "golden albums," as I like to call them. Although Brendon acknowledges this, he still continues to keep the band going, or "conduct" it. It could also be acknowledging the fact that Ryan worked with Vices for its early development and had a bit of a creative hand in that lyricism, as shown by the early demo of Nearly Witches. That could also point to the whole "dead body" thing, implying that the music when changed as Brendon did to it has less "life" without Ryan. That's all I've got to say about this song, at least for now. I'd be happy to try to analyze some more stuff if you wanna make requests in my questions box thingymajig. But that's this and it is my truth ty bye
