Ngl two images came to mind with this. The first is Ryan panicking if Marti’s RSD kicking up enough she cries ( which does happen ) and Ryan panicking like “fuck fuck don’t cry. Do you want me to hit someone? I can do that?” lol

Yes Marti would be as protective of Ryan as he is of her which is why the second image that came to mind is Marti ( who grows to be 5′5′’) pushing up her pink heart sunglasses like “Murder? Murder” if someone hurts Ryan or any of the quads for that matter. 

Marti and Cara in the same room spell chaos but also from what I see they’d be so supportive of each other too. Marti would have movie nights with her and like her drawings and cheer her on about being an artist. 

It’s also funny that like Marti’s shown interest so far in the same ppl as Cara and Ryan ( Penny and Rowan) though in a verse where they’re all there I can see her ending up with Chiara instead ( she sorta...thinks everyone’s pretty XD) 

Okays give me hcs about Cara and Ryan;s individual friendships with Marti? ( since she befirends the quads as a unit but i imagine dynamics would differ) >.>

Ryan

Ryan and Marti are probably very chaotic together as Ryan himself is a fairly chaotic person. They would probably get into a decent amount of trouble together.

Ryan definitely introduces Marti to The Rolling Stones, which is his favorite band. (The Beatles are a close second.) 

They’d probably try to out-protect the other or someone else because both of them can be very protective of their friends (and for Ryan, his siblings.)

Marti would probably tease Ryan a little about his relationship with Penny.

Ryan would probably teach Marti how to swear in Irish Gaelic.

Cara

Marti befriends Cara first of the quads as they’re both in Slytherin.

They’re also a fairly chaotic duo, but not as much as with Ryan. Cara’s a tad calmer than her brother.

Cara is definitely willing to learn about Marti’s pet snake and agrees that scaly creatures get the short end of the stick.

Cara definitely teaches Marti how to swear in Irish Gaelic as well.

They’re probably the closest duo of Marti and the O’Donnell quads, mainly because they spend more time together.

8) people they admire

Theo

1) Theo actually admires Adelia ( @that-ravenpuff-witch ) a lot for how kind she is and her ability to keep a level head as she ( Theo)  struggles a lot with her temper, and with wanting to lash out at people who hurt her. It’s something she actually confesses to her at one point 

2) She admires Teddy ( @cursebreakerfarrier)  for similar reasons as well as his giving nature and how much he just wants to help people. 

3) She also admires Teddy’s mom quite a lot as Theo hasn’t met many kind parents ( like not just her a lot of people in her friend circle and friends or friends seem to not fare better ) so she’s kind of a) the nicest parent she knows and B) who she kind of leans on/gravitates towards when she thinks about how she’d want to be as a parent. 

4) Taghd Lynch: Theo admires Taghd’s ability to keep going despite how many hardships he’s had. His ability to endure and how big a heart he has underneath it all. 

5) I think she’d admire Bartholomew “Barty” Varney  ( @carewyncromwell ) a lot for similar reasons as Taghd. As well as his ability to find his place with a found family considering she’s pretty much going to have to do the same after she cuts ties with her mother and her family.

Marti

1) Marti admires her brother Jacob above almost anyone as she hero worshiped him as a kid up until his disappearance. 

2) She admires the O’ Donell quads a lot as she had a pretty sheltered life even with the Jacob trauma, they were kind of an eye opener about how unkind your guardians could be and she admires their tenacity and strength. She also admires Cara’s art ability and Connor’s ability to pursue his dream as an architect since it’s not something you hear a lot about in Hogwarts. As well as Sara’s ability to be kind even when people are unkind around them ( as opposed to Marti who while kind can hold a grudge and snap back) and Ryan’s daring nature.

3) She admires Chiara for her ability to move forward despite how many people have unkind things to say about her and her condition since one of Marti’s main issue is the stuff that gets said about her and Jacob as the unfair treatment it gets her gets under her skin a lot.

4) She admires Orion Amari for his ability to be calm in situations and take things in stride/let them roll off him because their friendship is very much a case of “opposites platonically attract” as Marti can Very Much Not Do That. She also admires his leadership and how he keeps the team together and forms a family with them. 

5) Out of her teachers I think she admires Flitwick and Madam Hooch the most.

It should be noted they admire a lot more people I just had to narrow it down to five lol.

CARA & ROWAN

It’s 1995, and they’re at a combination of a holiday party and an engagement celebration. Cara’s sister had recently become engaged to her boyfriend of about seven years. Many of their friends and Cara’s family are with them, celebrating the upcoming holidays and the long expected engagement.

Both have been dancing around the feelings that have recently been building. Nearly eleven years of friendship, and neither expected the sudden romantic feelings that have been plaguing them the past six months. But, it’s easy to push that aside when surrounded by so much happiness and joking.

Cara was explaining the ridiculous holiday traditions that she and her siblings have when their friends started drunkenly chanting “kiss.” Rowan looked up and noticed the mistletoe. Her cheeks heated up and she pushes her glasses back up her suddenly sweaty nose.

“We don’t have to do it. If you don’t want to,” Cara said, her face bright red.

“It’s tradition,” Rowan responded, leaning to brush her lips against Cara’s. There’s a resounding cheer and the crowd turns away.

Cara takes advantage of the moment and presses her lips against Rowan’s again. Her fingers slid through Rowan’s hair. Rowan’s hands fisted into Cara’s sweater.

SARA & BARNABY

It was their fifth year, shortly after the OWLs had finished. She’d had a bad day, everything had gone wrong and it was just a bad day. He hadn’t seen her all day and thought that that was odd. She wasn’t one to hide away and disappear. He found her in an abandoned classroom and had smiled at her. She had smiled back, and hugged him before sitting back down. He let her ramble about her day, listening intently to everything that she said.

She smiled when he offered his condolences for her bad day. A sudden impulsivity raced through her and she stood up. Even at fifteen, he had a few inches on her. Standing on her tiptoes, and wrapping her hand gently around his tie, she leaned up to brush her lips over his. It was a short moment, and her cheeks heated as she let him go. However, he took advantage of the moment and pressed his lips to hers again. He tangled his fingers into her dark hair and sighed.

CONOR & RUTH

It was seventh year. They were studying for the NEWTs, the rest of their group had long since retired. They couldn’t help but stay up a bit later, going deeper into the materials of their shared classes. But, they’d drifted off of academics about thirty minutes prior, talking about a whole host of random things from their plans post-graduation to their favorite music groups. They’d discovered a shared appreciation for R.E.M. and The Cure, as well as a plan to attend muggle university. He had an ambition to become an architect, and she wanted to learn more about how to teach.

“We should probably head back to the tower if we want to avoid getting caught,” she said, pushing herself to stand up.

“You’re probably right,” he replied, standing up himself.

They stood centimeters apart and turned their heads at the same time. Their lips brushed against each other and both leaned in to make the kiss a tad deeper. Conor’s glasses slid down his nose a little to bump into Ruth’s nose. Her fingers tangled into his soft sandy brown hair. He sighed, but the moment was broken by a sudden meow. They sprung apart, both beet-red.
