Ryan Khosravi on Twitter: “ Idk where people are at but something that helped me when I was learning more about Palestine a few years ago was reading about the everyday mechanisms of control that Palestinians deal with — from roads to water to ID cards. So thought I’d share ”

Identity: Parsi, Immigrant, Queer
Before I became a fan of the band Queen, I had never questioned lead singer Freddie Mercury’s race. From the few pictures I had seen of him, and due to knowing him as British, I assumed he was white. This assumption is not uncommon. Culture writer Ryan Khosravi explains, “I don’t think many folks even know what to guess in terms of Freddie Mercury’s race (most probably assume he’s just white)” (2018). Another source, quoting novelist Nadia Akbar, states, “‘It’s interesting to see how much people still think he was a white British dude’” (Gandhi 2018).
In fact, Mercury was born in Zanzibar in 1946 under the name Farrokh Bulsara. His parents, originating from Bombay, were of Zoroastrian Faith (Khosravi 2018)(Narayanan 2018) (Whiteley 2017). Religious professor Vasudha Narayanan explains, “Fleeing religious persecution from Muslims in Persia sometime between the seventh and 10th centuries, the Zoroastrians settled in India, where they came to be called ‘Parsis’” (2018). This means that Freddie was not only a person of color, but a person with a complex racial identity. He could correctly be called Parsi, Indian, or Persian. Zoroastrianism, according to Narayanan, is “one of the world’s oldest religions,” and has had “a strong historical influence” on Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (2018). attended only by close friends and family, and was conducted according to the Zoroastrian faith of his family
Though perhaps claimed by the British, Parsis did not forget Mercury. “‘If you grew up in a Parsi household, especially in the 90s and 80s, he was kind of a shining star,’” said Parsi musician Pheroze Karai. “’He was definitely held up as one of the examples that Parsis can do anything’” (Gandhi 2018).
Mercury was not only (through his ancestors) an immigrant from Persia to India, and (through his parents) an immigrant from India to Zanzibar. After the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution, the Bulsara family fled to England (Gahndi 2018). Jason King, Associate Professor from NYU, said, “’His life in London was basically in exile from his life in Zanzibar… I’m sure he was happy to be in London because it’s an exciting place to be in the mid-1960s, but it was also a place of incredible migrant hostility’” (Gandhi 2018).
~
The best way to know Mercury’s view of his sexuality is through Mary Austin. At a young age, the two became engaged, but never went through with the marriage, due to Mercury’s objections. Recalling when Mercury came out to her, Austin said, “‘Afterwards he felt good about having finally told me he was bisexual. Although I do remember saying to him at the time, “No Freddie, I don’t think you are bisexual. I think you are gay’” (Wigg 2013).
“Love of My Life,” the song written by Mercury for Austin, was written in 1975 (Genius). A decade later, Mercury told an interviewer, “‘All my lovers asked me why they couldn’t replace Mary, but it’s simply impossible… The only friend I’ve got is Mary, and I don’t want anybody else. To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage. We believe in each other, that’s enough for me’” (Desta 2018). Until his death, the two remained close friends. Though Mercury had a partner at the end of his life, he willed a large portion of his wealth to Austin.
In 1984, Mercury entered a seven-year relationship with Jim Hutton, which ended upon Mercury’s death (Desta 2018) (Blake 2016). When Mercury did die, he willed his home, where he and Hutton lived, to Mary Austin. Austin told the press that Mercury had told her, “‘If things had been different, you  would have been my wife and this would have been yours anyway’” (Levine 2019) (Wigg 2013). Hutton was only left some money which he used to move back to his homeland of Ireland.

https://www.intomore.com/culture/people-are-campaigning-to-get-pewdiepie-more-subscribers-because-straight-men-have-too-much-time-on-their-hands
This is a bullshit article by Ryan Khosravi on Pewdiepie, obviously, because he wants to beat T-Series at having the most subscribers.
They say it's because he doesn't want to lose his throne, and that he's a racist.
They also call out Mark and Sean, saying the their support of this makes it worse, and that their Cloak brand is horrible.
They don't realize that Felix wants to beat T-Series because they're not a small company, or just one person providing content. No, they're a huge company that can produce more content a day than Felix can.
And of course, the only people who watch these three are straight white men. Right? Because apparently, only straight white men like gaming, and watching all three support different channels and make cool merch and actually talk to their subscribers?
