restoration sucked so bad. i'm obsessed with it. it had some of the most competent caboose moments in the entire series. it was out of character except for the parts where it was incredibly in character. it was lame. it made me cry. there was a bare naked ladies song in it. half of the main cast didn't even show up. it had two major character deaths. it retconned everything past season 13. it was a terrible ending. it separated grif and simmons. it was somehow still better than zero. burnie burns when i catch you.

Me when Donut --one of the MAIN characters whose development was already retconned -- only appearances in the LAST season of the show is 1) a half-ass mention and 2) him in a cheerleader suit.

anyway my main genuine critique is that it feels like burnie just didn't fucking watch the chorus trilogy and that really took a lot of the impact away from the first fight with meta!tucker and sarge's death. like what was up with those characterizations man.

It’s not pink, it’s Donut week! Let’s celebrate Pvt. Franklin Delano Donut in all his lightish-red glory. Let’s crawl through Donut-holes, decorate with Chantilly lace, and only eat things starting with vowels! From July 15-July 21, let’s scream as loud as we can, travel through time, meet and become God, and avoid threesomes with cheerleaders. (Unless you’re into that.)

July 15th: Food day! Dirt doesn’t taste like chocolate, but there’s really only one way to find out! On Food Day, let’s celebrate Donut and food: either his passion for it, or the fact that he’s named after it! Sweet or savory, fast or gourmet. Doesn’t matter.

July 16th: Matchmaker day! It’s not a threesome with cheerleaders, it’s Donut and whoever! Celebrate your favorite Donut ship! Pairing, ot3, poly, whatever! It’s a day for love!

July 17th: Friendship day! The day before was a day for romance, but today is the day for those good good feelings of platonic love and friendship. Donut is an amazing friend. Celebrate your favorite Donut friendship today!

July 18th: Survivor day! Donut is an incredible survivor. He’s been shot, he’s been turned into an extra planar deity, he’s been blown up – celebrate Donut’s incredible ability to survive today, however you want!

July 19th: Backstory day! Let’s think about things and then repress those thoughts immediately. And then let’s talk about backstory! Today is the day for headcanons, history, anything like that!

July 20th: Free day! Friday is free day. Do anything you want today. It’s what Donut would want you to do.

July 21st: AU Day! You’re welcome to play in the AU sandbox all week long, but today is THE day for AU’s. Coffee shop, fantasy, band – whatever you want! Go wild, have the best time ever!

I swear I'm gonna stop complaining soon but I had a thought about Carolona being there during the campfire scene and talking about her memories of Tex and helping to build the version of her that she would end up fighting along side.

Carolina finally fight along side the ghost of her mother now that she's processed a lot of her trauma surrounding her. IDK MAN I WOULD HAVE CRIED IF TEX HAD ACKNOWLEDGED HER FOR EVEN A SECOND.

I honestly really enjoyed Tex coming back and that would have just perfected the moment for me.
