Yep. Definitely the flagship of the Champions fleet. Personally I’m partial to Dino/Pauleen, but I can never deny the cuteness of these two.

A series question, gimme your Fossil Fighters hot takes 👀

Favorite character: Rupert! Great character development.

Second favorite character: Duna! She’s just great in general.

Least favorite character: Dr. Blackraven. Edgy villain, god awful human being.

The character I’m most like: Pauleen (because of her social anxiety mostly)

Favorite pairing: RupertxDina/Dino OR DunaxRosie!

Least favorite pairing: Not exactly sure if I have one tbh? Granted I’m not sure if I’ve come across any ships I particularly dislike.

Favorite moment: First one that comes to mind is the scene where Joe and B-Ptera bust Dina and Todd out of Joe’s suite when his body is possessed by ZongaZonga (mostly because I LOVE the parallel with the opening cutscene). CLOSE SECOND (and it’s less of a full scene and more of a small frame) is at the very end of the FFC credits when the friend group goes back to where the protag and Todd are at the beginning of the game. It ends where it begins 🥺 💖

Rating out of 10: 8/10 solely because of Frontier (which I don’t necessarily hate but didn’t enjoy as much as the original games)

Now I'm thinkin for real that whenever anybody asks Cole what they want to do when they grow up they always say hair stylist, I bet they were the type to scalp Barbies in an attempt to make the ultimate jumbo barbie wig, Lola helped to scalp the Barbies bc she just wanted to rip their heads off lol. Cole also seems like the one to actually put the hair dye in Lester and Lola's hair Orange might be her natural hair color but i am like 120 percent sure that if it's not it has been a different color at somepoint lol,,,,, hair stylist Cole I have been lost to the sauce.

Speaking of Lola, (totally not checking the awful wikia don't @ me) I feel like she is a giant sugarholic and Joe often might criticize her saying that if she wants to eat that much sugar, she HAS to brush her teeth EVERY NIGHT NO BACK TALKS. I feel like she is also skilled at not getting caught in school chewing gum, she always does but somehow does not get caught.

I am so in love with the idea that Joe just straight up says punch them bigots, Joe forever club. I'm glad he always had that little bit of some violence can be necessary sometimes before he died so that when the events did happen it just exaggerated a part himself that was always a little bit there. I'm also glad that they apologize on their own with out Joe making them, he might suggest it gently but not a force. god i love him smfosdnoifnodsi

I also feel like Lester has a little bit of trouble with the words™ sometimes which can lead to people seeing him as rude and blunt when he really doesn't mean it that way. Also leads to the aforementioned random words of wisdom bc he speaks his mind unfiltered.

I also like the idea that even tho they're so happy to have found their friends, everyone is a little,,,,, different now. Like it's still them,,,,, but it's not. Joe is more murdery and I'd assume there'd be some changes with the others as well. Maybe along the same line as joe a trait they always had but in small doses would be cranked all the way up. OR instead if this one fits better maybe the emotion they felt during death is the one thats turned up, fear for rupert, stabby for joe etc.

I feel like before Zonga got there they all had their heartfelt goodbyes and sat and reminisced and confessed to things they did and just genuine stuff expecting that the second ZZ died they would just kinda poof but then when they are still around,,,,, well this is kinda awkward now....

Poor joeeeeeeeeee this is actually very emotional and kinda an unexpected twist... I'm so glad we have Mr. Scatterly here to be a voice of actual knowledge and not just conjecture. Joe it's ok you were just trying to help "you know amargo isn't so bad after all ha ha...... ha" ghghghdghgh poor joe. so dramatic what a queen. Now I see where dina gets it from lol.

Also When Todd starts to make his way to the exit i feel like the gang would be like "no nonOO WHAT ARE YO U DOING THATS DANGEROUS" before complete stunned silence as he is just standing outside the resturant.... oh

Todd is considerably hyperopic, and requires glasses. Big, nerd-style, green-framed glasses. They’re inconvenient to wear while fossil hunting, so he generally sticks to contact lenses. Regardless, as long as he’s got something in his eyes (other than tears), once out of the dig site, he’s by far the best cleaner of the main crew of Champions. For comparison: Dina is clumsy, and Rupert’s spent his life relying on machines to clean for him, so he’s hopeless with the hammer himself. Pauleen can clean fairly well, but Todd is an utter automaton when it comes to excavating fossils. Occasionally, he can be seen wearing his glasses in the cleaning room. These occurrences merit boundless teasing from Dina, who always needles him about how nerdy he looks. That said, she respects his abilities - at this point, every member of the gang (on his advice) will simply take their wondrous and miraculous fossils to him, as he’s the least likely to damage whatever’s put in front of him.

In spite of this cleaning skill, Todd tends to freeze when put on the spot, hence why he began with such a losing streak in battle. However, as he matured, he learnt that when strategy disappears, having vivosaurs five ranks higher than the opponent is a sure-fire way to victory. And as soon as he bought his fossil chips, he was never again outranked. This bought him enough confidence to erode his nervous shell, thus allowing him to think more clearly and eventually grow as a fighter.

(For the record, he now doesn’t take vivosaurs into battle unless he’d cleaned them up to rank 8.)

I did something similar with them a while back but I’m gonna re-explore that.
