Mewn blog cynharach, bu Fiona Liddell yn disgrifio prosiect Ysbryd Gwirfoddoli Cymru, gan gynnwys ei ddiben, ei bartneriaid a’i weithgareddau. Mewn tri chyfraniad pellach mae’n edrych ar beth o’r profiad a gafwyd yn sgil y prosiect, o safbwynt rheoli gwirfoddolwyr. Mae Rhan 3 yn canolbwyntio ar gymorth a chydnabyddiaeth. Roedd Rhan 1 yn edrych ar recriwtio ac amrywiaeth, ac roedd rhan 2 yn ystyried rheoli data gwirfoddolwyr.
Roedd llawer o bartneriaid ein prosiect am ddod o hyd i ffyrdd i sicrhau bod eu gwirfoddolwyr yn cael cymorth trwy gydol y dydd, hyd yn oed pan fydd staff allweddol yn brysur yn delio â materion pwysig eraill. Roeddent am sicrhau y byddai gwirfoddolwyr yn teimlo bod eu profiad wedi bod yn un gwerth chweil a phleserus, ac y byddent yn dod yn ôl am ragor!
Systemau cymorth

Ar ei lefel fwyaf sylfaenol, mae cymorth yn golygu cael yr wybodaeth sydd ei hangen arnoch a gwybod ble i fynd os oes angen rhywbeth arnoch. Roedd Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru’n cyflenwi bagiau danteithion a oedd yn cynnwys gwybodaeth hanfodol yn eu digwyddiadau ac roedd Run4 Wales a Chelfyddydau Gwirfoddol Cymru yn paratoi bathodynnau adnabod gyda gwybodaeth allweddol a oedd yn cynnwys map, amserlen a rhifau cyswllt mewn argyfwng. (Roedd y bathodynnau’n ddefnyddiol hefyd i alluogi’r cyhoedd i wybod pwy oedd y gwirfoddolwyr).
Cymerodd Celfyddydau Gwirfoddol Cymru ofal arbennig i ganfod beth oedd cymhellion ac anghenion penodol y gwirfoddolwyr; roeddent am annog pobl a oedd â phrofiad o fyw â phroblemau iechyd meddwl i gymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad (sef Gŵyl Celfyddydau Iechyd Meddwl). Roedd cymorth ar gael cyn y diwrnod, ac felly roedd modd canfod a rhagweld unrhyw anawsterau posibl.
Roedd pob un o’r mudiadau hyn wedi neilltuo man neu ganolfan ar gyfer gwirfoddolwyr, lle byddai te, coffi, gwybodaeth a chwmni ar gael pan fyddent ei angen. Roedd Run4Wales wedi recriwtio myfyrwyr rheoli digwyddiadau yn benodol i ofalu am y fan honno, ac am lesiant y gwirfoddolwyr.
Mae profiad yn awgrymu ei bod yn talu i feddwl yn ofalus ymlaen llaw am anghenion y gwirfoddolwyr ar y diwrnod; mae’n helpu i sicrhau bod y digwyddiad yn rhedeg yn esmwyth ac mae’n gwella ymdeimlad o foddhad y gwirfoddolwyr.
Cydnabyddiaeth weladwy
Gwelsom nad yw pawb eisiau tystysgrif. I rai pobl, mae cael eu trin yn dda, cael diolch a bod eich cyfraniad wedi’i gydnabod mewn lluniau a deunydd cyhoeddusrwydd yn ddigon o gydnabyddiaeth.
Ond i eraill, gan gynnwys pobl ifanc, a rhai sydd am gael profiad a fydd yn berthnasol i gyflogaeth, mae tystiolaeth weladwy yn bwysig. Crys T neu gap y gellir tynnu ei lun a’i rannu ar gyfryngau cymdeithasol neu CV fideo, er enghraifft, neu dystysgrif o gyflawniad.
Roeddem am ddod o hyd i ffordd o gydnabod nifer yr oriau a wirfoddolwyd mewn digwyddiadau tuag at wobrau 50, 100 a 200 awr Gwirfoddolwyr y Mileniwm, a gallwch gael gwybodaeth ar sut i gael a defnyddio’r tystysgrifau hyn (maent ar gael am ddim) ar wefan WCVA.
Roedd Chwaraeon Anabledd Cymru’n awyddus i ddod o hyd i ffordd o gydnabod a chofnodi sgiliau pobl ifanc a ddatblygwyd trwy wirfoddoli. Roedd pobl ifanc yn allweddol yn y gwaith o ddatblygu cerdyn sgorio sgiliau. Mae hwn hefyd ar gael ar y wefan, ac mae’n cynnwys fersiwn barod a hawdd ei defnyddio a ddatblygwyd ar gyfer gwirfoddolwyr ag anawsterau dysgu.

Mae’r cerdyn sgorio’n arbennig o ddefnyddiol yn y ffordd y gall ysgogi myfyrio a thrafodaeth ar allu a datblygiad personol person ifanc. Oherwydd hyn, datblygwyd cerdyn sgorio cyfatebol gennym a fydd yn cael ei ddefnyddio gan fentor, goruchwyliwr neu wirfoddolwr cymheiriaid. Mae hunan asesiad y gwirfoddolwr ac asesiad cyfatebol y cymheiriaid yn sail i drafodaeth gynhyrchiol ac i hybu hunan ymwybyddiaeth.
Nid yw’r cerdyn sgorio’n addas i bawb, ond wrth eu defnyddio’n ddoeth, gallant ychwanegu gwerth at brofiad y gwirfoddolwyr a gallant gynnig tystiolaeth ddefnyddiol o effaith eich digwyddiad, fel cyfrwng i wella sgiliau’r gwirfoddolwyr.
Pasbort sgiliau
Cafodd partneriaid y prosiect eu denu gan y syniad o gofnod ‘pasbort’ o gymhwysedd / gwybodaeth a gafwyd yn sgil hyfforddiant. Byddai’n galluogi pobl i ddangos tystiolaeth o’u cymhwysedd, er enghraifft, mewn gwasanaeth i gwsmeriaid, mewn gweithdrefnau gwagio adeiladau mewn argyfwng, mewn arwain timau neu asesiadau risg.
Dim ond yng nghyd-destun un ‘teulu’ o ddigwyddiadau y mae system o’r fath yn un gwbl effeithiol, gan fod natur digwyddiadau, y sgiliau sydd eu hangen a’r hyfforddiant a ddarperir yn amrywio’n fawr. Fodd bynnag, gallai’r meddalwedd a drafodwyd yn fy mlog blaenorol (os ceir caniatâd i rannu data), weithredu fel system ‘pasbort’ o’r fath lle, er enghraifft, byddai modd canfod a chysylltu â gwirfoddolwyr sydd wedi cwblhau hyfforddiant penodol neu sydd wedi ennill cymhwyster penodol ac wedyn eu defnyddio’n briodol i’r perwyl hwnnw.

BBC broadcasts the Cardiff Half Marathon across the UK

As more than 27,000 runners prepare to take to the streets of Cardiff for the annual half marathon, viewers across the UK can watch the action live on BBC Two for the very first time.

The Cardiff Half Marathon is one of the highlights of the year for runners. Organised by Run4Wales, it takes participants past some of Cardiff’s best-known locations, including Cardiff Castle, the Principality Stadium, as well as taking in the sea air in Cardiff Bay as runners make their way across the barrage before heading back to the city past the Senedd and Wales Millennium Centre.
Jason Mohammad will present this year’s coverage on Sunday 6 October, broadcasting live on BBC One Wales and BBC Two across the UK, with event highlights later that evening at 10pm on BBC Two Wales.
The half marathon has grown into one of the most high-profile road races in the United Kingdom. It is now one of Europe’s largest half marathons and is Wales’ largest mass participation and multi-charity fundraising event. For the first time in the event’s history, female runners will make up the majority of entrants this year.
Presenter, Jason Mohammad, says: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting this year’s Cardiff Half Marathon. It’s always a pleasure to be in front of the camera talking to the guests about the course in the city I grew up in and love dearly.
“I have friends running this year so I’ll be on the lookout for them and, of course, the elite runners. We’re also on BBC network TV this year so I’ll be hugely proud to be introducing the capital city of Wales to viewers across the UK.”
Run 4 Wales CEO, Matt Newman, says: “A record field of 27,500 runners of all abilities will make the 17th instalment of Wales' largest mass-participation and fundraising event the biggest and best yet.

Event volunteering challenges and opportunities

In an earlier blog, Fiona Liddell described the Volunteering Spirit Wales project, including its purpose, partners and it activities. In three further posts she discusses some of the lessons to be learned from the project, in terms of the management of volunteers. Part 3 focuses on support and recognition. Part 1 looked at recruitment and diversity, and part 2 considered the management of volunteer data.
Many of our project partners wanted to find ways of ensuring that volunteers were supported throughout the day, even when key staff might be tied up with other pressing issues. They wanted to ensure that volunteers would feel that their experience had been worthwhile, enjoyable and that they would come back for more!
Systems of support

At its most basic, support is about having the information you need and knowing where to turn if there is anything you need. National Museum of Wales provided goodie bags containing all essential information at their events and Run4Wales and Voluntary Arts Wales prepared lanyards with key information including a map, timetable and emergency contact numbers. (Lanyards also serve to identify volunteers clearly to the general public).
Voluntary Arts Wales took special care to find out about volunteers’ individual motivations and needs; they sought to encourage people with lived experience of mental health problems to be able to take part in the event (which was a Mental Health Arts Festival). Support was invested before the day, therefore in identifying and pre-empting any possible difficulties.
These three organisations each set aside a volunteer area or ‘hub’, where volunteers would find tea, coffee, information and company when they want it. Run4Wales recruited event management students specifically with a responsibility for looking after the hub, and the wellbeing of volunteers.
Experience suggests that it pays off to give careful thought in advance, to the needs of volunteers on the day; it helps the smooth running of the event and improves volunteer satisfaction.
Tangible recognition
Not everyone wants a certificate, we found. For some people, being well treated, thanked, and having your contribution acknowledged in photos and publicity is adequate recognition.
But for others, including young people and those who are building up experience relevant to employment, tangible evidence is important. A t-shirt or cap that can be photographed and shared on social media or a video CV, for example, or a certificate of achievement.
We wanted to find a way of acknowledging hours of event volunteering towards the Millennium Volunteer 50, 100 and 200 hour awards, and you can now get information about how to get and use these certificates (available free of charge) on the WCVA website.
Disability Sport Wales wanted to find a way of recognising and documenting young people’s skills developed through volunteering. Young people were instrumental in designing a skills score card. This is also available on the website, including an easy ready version which was developed for use with volunteers who have learning difficulties.

The real value in the scorecard can be in the reflection and conversation that they provoke about a young person’s capabilities and personal development. For this reason we developed a corresponding scorecard to be used by a mentor, supervisor or peer volunteer. The volunteer’s own self assessment and the corresponding peer assessment form the basis for fruitful discussion and growing self awareness.
The scorecard is by no means for everyone, but, used wisely, can add value to the volunteer experience and can provide useful evidence of the impact of your event, as a vehicle for enhancing volunteers’ skills.
A skills passport
Project partners were attracted by the idea of a ‘passport’ record of competence/knowledge acquired through training. It would enable people to evidence their competence, for example, in customer service, in evacuation procedures, in team leading or risk assessment.
Such a system only has real meaning within the context of one ‘family’ of events, since the nature of events, of skills needed and of training provided varies widely. However, the software discussed in my previous blog, (if data sharing permissions are given), could provide such a ‘passport’ system, where, for example, volunteers having completed particular training or gained a particular qualification could be easily identified and approached or deployed accordingly.

Fel rhan o brosiect Ysbryd Gwirfoddoli Cymru roeddem yn awyddus i edrych ar y defnydd o feddalwedd rheoli gwirfoddolwyr i helpu nid yn unig i recriwtio gwirfoddolwyr ond hefyd gyda chyfathrebu rheolaidd ac wedi’i dargedu’n briodol, i drefnu rotas ac olrhain oriau, hyfforddiant a phrofiad.

Llwyddodd Run4Wales i recriwtio 1,157 o wirfoddolwyr i helpu gyda Hanner Marathon IAAF y Byd Caerdydd. Roedd cael system rheoli gwirfoddolwyr ar-lein dda yn hanfodol i recriwtio ar gyfer digwyddiad o’r maint hwn, i helpu i ddyrannu rolau a chyfathrebu rheolaidd wedi’i dargedu trwy e-bost, Roedd yn bwysig hefyd er mwyn monitro a gwella nifer y gwirfoddolwyr a oedd yn dychwelyd o un digwyddiad i’r nesaf.

Roedd y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored yn awyddus i ddefnyddio meddalwedd o’r fath, ac roedd hefyd am fonitro ei lwyddiant i recriwtio mwy o wirfoddolwyr benywaidd ac anabl ac i allu olrhain y sgiliau y mae gwirfoddolwyr yn eu datblygu, fel cymwysterau arweinyddiaeth awyr agored a hyfforddi, ac i adeiladu ar y rhain trwy ddyrannu profiadau gwirfoddoli perthnasol.
Ein her gyntaf oedd canfod meddalwedd addas y gellid ei ddefnyddio’n ddwyieithog. Fel y digwyddodd pethau, buddsoddwyd amser ac egni i gynorthwyo i ddatblygu cynnyrch o’r fath, sydd bellach ar gael yn fasnachol, ond nid oedd digon o amser o fewn oes y prosiect i’w roi ar waith.
Mae’r broses o brofi’r rhaglen a’i defnyddioldeb i reoli rhaglen bresennol y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored o ddigwyddiadau’n mynd yn ei blaen, ac edrychwn ymlaen at gael ein diweddaru ar eu profiad o bryd i’w gilydd.
‘Mae’n mynd i gymryd amser i’n gwirfoddolwyr presennol i ddod i arfer i’n ffordd newydd o weithio,’ meddai Tracy Evans, Cyfarwyddwr, Y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored. ‘Fodd bynnag, bydd yn berffaith i ni i recriwtio gwirfoddolwyr newydd yn enwedig ein gwirfoddolwyr iau fel ein stiwardiaid ifanc. Bydd yn rhaid i ni adrodd yn ôl i’n rhanddeiliaid a’n partneriaid cyllido yn rheolaidd. Bydd y meddalwedd hwn yn ein helpu â’r broses hon, yn enwedig casglu data ar ein gwirfoddolwyr (faint o amser maent wedi’i roi, grwpiau targed sydd wedi’u recriwtio ac yn y blaen).’
Potensial ehangach
Mae gan feddalwedd ar-lein hyn y potensial i drawsnewid arferion rheoli gwirfoddolwyr mewn digwyddiadau. Mae gwirfoddolwyr yn creu eu cyfrif ar-lein personol eu hunain a gallant gofrestru ar gyfer y rolau gwirfoddoli sy’n apelio atynt. Mae gan drefnwyr digwyddiadau system reoli sy’n eu galluogi i hysbysebu pa gyfleoedd gwirfoddoli sydd ar gael, a hefyd i reoli sut maent yn cyfathrebu, yn trin data ac adrodd.
Diolch i waith y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored, rydym yn falch bod meddalwedd rheoli gwirfoddolwyr cwbl ddwyieithog ar gael ar y farchnad, ac rydym yn ymchwilio i weld sut y gellir sicrhau ei bod o fewn cyrraedd amrywiaeth ehangach o fudiadau Trydydd Sector. Rydym yn rhagweld y byddwn yn gallu rhannu rhagor o fanylion am y datblygiadau hyn yn gynnar yn 2018.

Event volunteering challenges and opportunities
2. Managing volunteer data

In an earlier blog, Fiona Liddell described the Volunteering Spirit Wales project, including its purpose, partners and it activities. In three further posts she reflects on some of the experience gained from the project, in terms of the management of volunteers. This blog focuses on managing volunteer data. Part 1 looked at recruitment and diversity and part 3 will look at support and supervision.
According to our initial survey, most events are organised using only paper based systems, or at best an excel spreadsheet. But these are limited, and there is digital help available on the market.
Volunteer management software
As part of the Volunteering Spirit Wales project we wanted to explore the use of volunteer management software to help with not only the recruitment of volunteers but also with targeted and regular communication, with the scheduling of rotas and tracking of hours, training and experience.

Run4Wales, recruited 1157 volunteers to help at the IAAF Cardiff World Half Marathon. Having a good, online volunteer management system was key to successful recruitment for an event of this size, to assist with allocation of roles and regular, targeted email communication. It was important too, in monitoring and improving the number of returning volunteers from one event to the next.

The Outdoor Partnership wanted to make use of such software, including to monitor its success in recruiting more women and disabled volunteers and to be able to track the skills that volunteers are developing, such as outdoor leadership and coaching qualifications, and to build on these by allocating relevant volunteering experience.
Our first challenge was to identify suitable software that could be used bilingually. As things turned out, time and energy was invested in assisting the development of such a product, which is now available commercially, but there was insufficient time within the project lifespan to put it into practice.
Testing its application and usefulness to the management of The Outdoor Partnership’s ongoing programme of events is now in progress, and we look forward to getting updates on their experience from time to time.
‘It will take time for our existing volunteers to get used to our new way of working,’ explained Tracy Evans, Director, The Outdoor Partnership. ‘However it will be perfect for us in recruiting new volunteers particularly our younger volunteers such as our young rangers. We have to report back to our stakeholders and funding partners on a regular basis. This software will help this process, especially gathering data on our volunteers (how much time they have given, target groups recruited, etc’.
Wider potential
Online software such as this has great potential to transform practice in managing volunteers at events. Volunteers create their own personal online account and can sign up for volunteering roles that attract them. Event organisers have a management system that allows them to advertise what volunteering is on offer, and also to manage their communication, data handling and reporting.
We are proud, thanks to the work of The Outdoor Partnership that there is now a fully bilingual volunteer management software product on the market, and we are looking to see how it can be made accessible to a wider range of Third Sector organisations in Wales. We expect to be able report further on these developments by early 2018.

Volunteering Spirit Wales - building partnerships and developing event volunteering

Fiona Liddell Volunteering Development Manager looks back at the two year journey of the Volunteering Spirit Wales Project.
These past few weeks have been a mad flurry of activity: hyperlinks and visuals added to a new online toolkit on event volunteering; videos being tweaked and subtitled; case studies professionally designed and published; analysis of survey data completed. An evaluation report stretching to more than a hundred pages is being checked and finalized for translation, as I write.
We have (or we soon will have) a lot to show for two years of the Volunteering Spirit Wales Project. Take a look at the project pages and the event volunteering toolkit on our website.

So how did it all begin? It was WCVAs experience in organizing young volunteers for the Ryder cup in 2010 that started our interest in event volunteering. We realized that it wasn’t easy, and there were pitfalls. You have just a defined time period in which to recruit and engage volunteers, prepare them for what they need to do, and communicate your appreciation (hoping they will come back next time!). There is no second chance. Everything is in the planning and preparation.
So when Spirit of 2012 approached us to discuss priorities and potential partners for work they were looking to grant fund in Wales, this looked like something we both felt to be important. We were invited to put together a project proposal, which was approved in December 2014.
The project has had three distinct phases.
The first was about planning and preparing the ground. We identified six partners who were planning to run events during 2016 and who would like the opportunity to try out something new in the way that they worked with volunteers. We appointed Sally Medlyn as our external evaluator, and developed a framework for evaluating our experience and our progress toward project objectives. We established a group of partners and stakeholders who brought different perspectives to the table; from the academic (Cardiff Met Event Management Department), and policy (Welsh Government Major Events Unit) to the operational interests of the six project partners: the Urdd, Disability Sport Wales, The Outdoor Partnership, National Museum Wales, Run4Wales, Voluntary Arts Wales. We drew up a job description for an Event Volunteering Officer and Nia Ramage was appointed to start in July 2015.

The second phase began with a formal launch of the project at the Eisteddfod in Meifod in August 2015. Nia worked with each of the partners to develop their plans, with particular focus on the defined areas of intervention as set out in each Partnership Agreement. Between the six partners, actions were planned that covered all aspects of volunteer management: recruitment and diversity, management and communication, training and support, recognition and follow up and referral. Nia oversaw the development of a skills competence score card and an event volunteering certificate which are part of the legacy of the project, available for wider use. She captured stories of individuals and partner organisations, in a series of articles. A baseline survey of organisations across Wales was carried out in September 2015, to find out about their practices in relation to event volunteer management and pre and post event surveys were administered to volunteers taking part in the six pilot events. So to the third phase. The last of the six events took place just as, sadly, Nia moved on to new employment. Voluntary Arts Wales was appointed to develop a toolkit of resources on event volunteering and Janina Kuczys undertook that work, based on the gathered resources and experience of partners. Sandy Clubb was appointed as a consultant to complete the series of case studies for publication. WCVA staff were deployed in getting the toolkit online and producing a series of short videos of project partners talking of their experiences, to complement the written resources.

Dyma Reolwr Datblygu Gwirfoddoli Fiona Liddell yn edrych yn ôl ar daith ddwy flynedd Prosiect Ysbryd Gwirfoddoli Cymru.
Mae’r wythnosau diwetha’ ‘ma wedi bod fel ffair: ychwanegu dolenni a delweddau at becyn cymorth arlein newydd ar gyfer gwirfoddoli mewn digwyddiadau; golygu ac isdeitlo fideos; trefnu i astudiaethau achos gael eu dylunio’n broffesiynol a’u cyhoeddi; dadansoddi data arolygon. Mae adroddiad gwerthuso sy’n ymestyn i dros gant o dudalennau yn cael ei wirio a’i baratoi i’w gyfieithu, wrth i mi ysgrifennu.

Felly sut dechreuodd y cwbl? Profiad WCVA yn trefnu gwirfoddolwyr ifanc ar gyfer Cwpan Ryder yn 2010 a daniodd ein diddordeb mewn gwirfoddoli mewn digwyddiadau. Fe sylweddolon ni nad oedd yn hawdd, a bod yna sawl maen tramgwydd. Mae gennych gyfnod penodol o amser i recriwtio ac ennyn diddordeb gwirfoddolwyr, eu paratoi at yr hyn mae angen iddynt ei wneud, a chyfleu’ch gwerthfawrogiad (gan obeithio y dôn nhw’n ôl y tro nesaf!). Does dim ail gyfle. Rhaid wrth gynllunio a pharatoi.
Felly pan gysylltodd Ysbryd 2012 â ni i drafod blaenoriaethau a darpar bartneriaid ar gyfer gwaith roeddynt yn bwriadu darparu grant ar ei gyfer yng Nghymru, roedd yn swnio fel rhywbeth yr oeddem ill dau’n teimlo ei fod yn bwysig. Fe’n gwahoddwyd i lunio cynnig am brosiect, a gymeradwywyd fis Rhagfyr 2014.
Roedd tri cham penodol i’r prosiect.
Y cyntaf oedd cynllunio a pharatoi, gwaith caib a rhaw fel petai. Fe ddaethom o hyd i chwe phartner a oedd yn bwriadu cynnal digwyddiadau yn ystod 2016 ac a hoffai’r cyfle i roi cynnig ar rywbeth newydd yn eu ffordd o weithio gyda gwirfoddolwyr. Penodwyd Sally Medlyn yn werthuswr allanol, a datblygwyd fframwaith i werthuso ein profiad a’n cynnydd tuag at amcanion y prosiect. Fe sefydlon ni grŵp o bartneriaid a rhanddeiliaid a ddaeth â safbwyntiau gwahanol at y bwrdd; o’r academaidd (Adran Rheoli Digwyddiadau Caerdydd Met), a maes polisi (Uned Digwyddiadau Mawr Llywodraeth Cymru) i ddiddordebau gweithredol y chwe phartner yn y prosiect: yr Urdd, Chwaraeon Anabledd Cymru, Y Bartneriaeth Awyr Agored, Amgueddfa Cymru, Run4Wales, Celfyddydau Gwirfoddol Cymru. Aethom ati i lunio disgrifiad o swydd Swyddog Gwirfoddoli mewn Digwyddiadau a phenodwyd Nia Ramage i ddechrau yn y swydd ym mis Gorffennaf 2015.

Dechreuodd yr ail gam wrth lansio’r prosiect yn ffurfiol yn Eisteddfod Genedlaethol Meifod ym mis Awst 2015. Gweithiodd Nia gyda phob un o’r partneriaid i ddatblygu eu cynlluniau, gan ganolbwyntio’n benodol ar y meysydd penodol o ymyrraeth fel y nodwyd ym mhob Cytundeb Partneriaeth. Rhwng y chwe phartner, cynlluniwyd camau gweithredu i gynnwys pob agwedd ar reoli gwirfoddolwyr: recriwtio ac amrywiaeth, rheoli a chyfathrebu, hyfforddi a chefnogi, cydnabyddiaeth a gwaith dilynol ac atgyfeirio. Gallwch ddarllen am yr hyn a wnaed a’r hyn a ddysgwyd yn y chwe astudiaeth achos sydd wedi’u cyhoeddi.
Goruchwyliodd Nia ddatblygiad cerdyn sgorio sgiliau a thystysgrif gwirfoddoli mewn digwyddiadau sy’n rhan o waddol y prosiect, maent ar gael i’w defnyddio yn ehangach. Aeth Nia ati i gasglu straeon unigolion a phartner-fudiadau, mewn cyfres o erthyglau. Cynhaliwyd arolwg sylfaenol o fudiadau ledled Cymru ym mis Medi 2015, i gael gwybod am eu harferion wrth reoli gwirfoddolwyr mewn digwyddiadau a rhoddwyd arolygon cyn ac ar ôl digwyddiad i wirfoddolwyr a oedd yn cymryd rhan yn y chwe digwyddiad peilot. Mae’r adnoddau hyn ac adroddiadau’r arolygon i gyd ar gael ar ein gwefan.

Felly ymlaen at y trydydd cam. Cynhaliwyd yr olaf o’r chwe digwyddiad, yn anffodus, wrth i Nia symud ymlaen at swydd newydd. Penodwyd Celfyddydau Gwirfoddol Cymru i ddatblygu pecyn cymorth ac ynddo adnoddau ar gyfer gwirfoddoli mewn digwyddiadau. Janina Kuczys aeth ati i wneud y gwaith yma, yn seiliedig ar yr adnoddau a gasglwyd a phrofiad y partneriaid. Penodwyd Sandy Clubb fel ymgynghorydd i gwblhau cyfres o astudiaethau achos er mwyn eu cyhoeddi. Aeth staff WCVA ati i roi’r pecyn cymorth arlein a chynhyrchu cyfres o fideos byr o bartneriaid y prosiect yn trafod eu profiadau, er mwyn ategu’r adnoddau ysgrifenedig.
