EXCERPT:
The room was like any other in thousands of hotels around the world, Alex supposed. Small bathroom crammed in by the entry; big window on the far side featuring a majestic view of the parking garage and dumpsters. An enormous TV on the wall, a small table, a few chairs.
And, oh yeah — just the one big double bed sitting pride of place in the middle of the room that they were for some reason — what? Expected to share?
For two whole weeks, Coach had said. With Ian.
Any of the other guys on the university's soccer team would have been, y'know, fine. But Mr. Superstar Team Captain, Green Shakes and Yoga Breaks, Steal Your Girlfriend With A Smile, Hetero Poster Boy of the Year, Ian 'The Weaver' freakin' Weber?
He's everything Alex’s dad had ever wanted in a son.
He's everything Alex was not.
And now? Now Ian knows Alex's little secret. Yeah — that one.
Forget two weeks. It'll be a miracle if they both survive this first night…

Rules
This is a place for 18+ only. Take it seriously. If I find out you’re a minor, you will be blocked, no exceptions.
Call me Rune Crow. They/them.
Mun and muse are 21+.
Warnings: usage of alcohol/drugs, sadism, masochism, blood, injury, gore, mutilation, emotional-physical abuse, dubcon.
This isn't my happy place.
I don't come here to play nice. I will talk you through what Hel will do next and if you agree, only if you give consent, he's going to do what he wishes and I won't water him down. If it makes you uncomfortable, you're free of course to drop the thread.
But there's a very important thing I need to address:
Hel isn't a good character. He's dangerous. He is going to torture, kill and devour living beings in vivid detail. If this makes you uncomfortable PLEASE do not interact, I don't want to trigger you.
Please remember this. This is where I come to blow off steam. I don't want to hurt you with it.

RULES OF PLAY
This is a hate-free, semi-selective, multi-verse, multiship roleplay blog. A safe place for all.
I am as slow as a snail. Please, take this into consideration if you decide to thread with me.
Warnings: graphic depictions of violence, swearing, smut. I will use tags for everything in such a way: “example tw”, and I will try to tag everything which can be triggering. Smut threads will be under Read More and will be tagged with “nsfw” always. I will NOT write explicit content with partners below 18.
I do not own pictures. Icons and gifs I use are all reblogged on my blog and can be found here.
ABOUT THE MUN
Call me Astrid Crow. They/them, she/her, 30+ years old, 15+ years of writing, 10+ years of roleplay experience. English is not my first language, but I’ve been learning it for over 20 years. I’m trying my best.
Please be respectful.
What semi-selective means: I write multiple paras at the bare minimum and long replies in general. Since I tend to get carried away what Myrkr does/sees/feels/thinks, I love to write a lot about each and every aspect in detail. If you only give me two-three lines to work with, I will not write with you. If I wrote a page and you give me back a para or two without moving forward or not giving me something to work with, I will not write with you. I will make exceptions with crack threads and sometimes I do shorties, but I don’t really do them on a daily basis. If you godmod, I will not write with you.
No godmodding! Anything you see Myrkr is doing and could be interpreted as such, has been talked about with the other mun. He will not use most of his abilities unless discussed.
I am a friendly and understanding mun. If you have something on your mind – plot, idea, or just want to fan over something you like – drop me a message. Sadly, I am a goldfish, so if I don’t answer in a few hours, pop me another. Sometimes I reply mentally then I exit Tumblr thinking I sent you a reply. :) I get distracted and carried away easily. It’s a flaw. Bear with me. I also have a full-time job and also a family to take care of. Again, I am slow, but trying. Keep this in mind, please.

Grupo: Ana Carolina Kühl Caio Henrique Caio Muniz Gabriela Molinaro Paloma Takahashi Yann Cerri

Game of the Week - 06/09/2013 - Dominion
Game of the Week- Dominion. Although there are many great games, only a few are innovative enough to create a whole new genre. Dominion is one such game, which introduced the now-popular deck-building mechanic. In Dominion, 2-4 players buy cards to build their own personal deck in an attempt to craftily grab the most victory points. Each game uses 10 action cards which are drawn from a total of 24, allowing for thousands of different variants, meaning no two games are likely to ever feel the same. Simple rules disguise incredible depth, where spotting clever card combinations is key to victory.Dominion is a true modern classic, often imitated but rarely in our opinion improved upon. Five years on from its original release, its still one of our most-loved and most-played games (especially when looking for a great fast 2-player game). For more information, check out the video overview from the fabulous Starlit Citadel.

Game of the Week - 30/08/2013 - Pix
Game of the Week - Pix. Pix is a picture-guessing party game for 4-9 players with a difference – you don’t have to be able to draw! With a delightful retro pixel-art style, each turn groups of players attempt to create a picture of a specified object using magnetic ‘pixels’ on a 9×9 metal grid. The first player to correct identify the image wins points along with the relevant creator. In a cunning twist, images are revealed in order of the total number of pixels used, so for the greatest chance of winning big, you have to think small! We think Pix is completely charming, and can’t wait to play it. For more information on the game, check out this informative review from deskovehry.com.

Game of the Week - 23/08/2013 - Star Trek Attack Wing
Game of the Week- Star Trek Attack Wing. After a long wait, we’ve finally got our hands on the new Star Trek game, and are happy to announce that its even better than we hoped for. Using the same system as the brilliant Star Wars: X-Wing, you now have the opportunity to create your dream battles between Star Fleet, the Klingons, Romulans and more. Fast and easy to pickup, but with great gameplay, its fair enough to say that we’re hooked. For more information, check out the video review by Tom Vasel, or come along to any of our boardgaming events, where this is likely to be a popular fixture for some time to come.

Game of the Week - 16/08/2013
Game of the Week - River Dragons. Joining classics such as Survive: Escape From Atlantis and Ticket to Ride as a game that works equally well with gamers as with families and friends, we’re vey happy to finally have the brilliant River Dragons back on the shelves. In the game, 2-6 players are attempting to cross the mighty Mekong, but danger lurks in the shape of the legendary River Dragons. Each turn, players secretly select 5 cards, which are then revealed to determine your actions. Through placing stones, bridges, moving your character and even stealing other players’ bridges, you’ll attempt to cross the river yourself while thwarting your opponents’ efforts. An easy-to-learn and stunning to look at game with a great mix of strategy (and viciousness), River Dragons is an absolute blast with players of all ages. For more information, check out this great video overview by Starlit Citadel, or this video review from Tom Vasel of the Dice Tower.

Game of the Week - 9/08/2013
Game of the Week- Commands & Colours: Ancients. Epic in scope but highly accessible, Commands & Colours: Ancients allows 2 players to recreate famous battles between the warring factions of Rome and Carthage. A great introduction to modern wargaming, players must make careful tactical use of command cards to manoeuvre their troops on their battlefield. The game contains numerous scenarios based on historical battles, while also giving you the freedom to create your own. Easy to pick-up, fast to play and most importantly great fun, Command & Colours comes very highly recommended. For a great overview of the game, check out the video review from the wonderful Marco Arnaudo, a wargaming veteran as well as the thoughts of his friend and opponent, the Eurogamer Joel Eddy. For those who like their combat a little less ancient, the card-driven system used in the game can also be found in Commands & Colours: Napoleonics and the World-War II themed Memoir ’44, both by the same designer.

Game of the Week - 2/08/2013 - Mascarade
Mascarade is the latest game by Bruno Faidutti, designer of such classics as Citadels, Mystery of the Abbey and Red November. In the game, each player is dealt a character card which has a special power. Other than when initially dealt, cards are kept secret from all players. Each turn, you can choose to use the power of the character you claim to have, swap cards with another player, or check your own card. A great game of bluff and deception for 2-13 players which is simple to learn and with gorgeous artwork, Mascarade is great for large groups, and perfect for fans of Bruno Faidutti’s other games or fans of games such as Love Letter or Coup. For more information, check out the overview of the game this overview of the game from BoardGameGeek.

Game of the Week - 26/07/13 - Letters from Whitechapel
In Victorian London, a serial killer is on the loose, and the name of Jack the Ripper fills the hearts of Londoners with terror. In Letters from Whitechapel, one player takes on the role of the notorious killer, while 2-5 others are detectives, determined to bring him to justice. Jack’s movements around London are hidden, and his location must be worked out by the deductive powers of the other players in a tense race against the clock. Letters from Whitechapel feels like a sophisticated descendant of the classic Scotland Yard, and is brimming with macabre atmosphere. For more information, check out Jeremy Salinas’ comprehensive video overview and the Dice Tower’s video review.

Game of the Week -19/07/13
This week we are sharing the brilliant Pandemic.
There’s never been a better time to save the world from deadly disease. Pandemic is now clearly established as a modern classic and the game that helped firmly establish co-operative boardgames. In the game, 2-4 players race against the clock to prevent four virulent diseases from wiping out humanity. Each player assumes a role with a unique special ability which when strategically combined with that of other players just might prevent disaster. Sharing the accessibility and depth of the original, the new 2013 edition adds swanky new graphics and 2 new roles. The expansion On The Brink allows a 5th player (with a bio-terrorist option), while the forthcoming In The Lab promises to add to the tension even more. To get an idea why so many people love the game, check out the inimitable Wil Wheaton on Tabletop playing Pandemic, this excellent review from Eurogamer or learn how to play with this informative video from publishers Z-Man Games.

Game of the Week - 12/7/2013
As part of our Friday Rules newsletter, we at Rules of Play like to recommend a game of the week. This week we have the fantastic Keyflower.
A brilliant strategy game for 2-6 players, Keyflower is one of the releases we’ve been most excited about over the past 12 months. The game is played over four rounds, each representing a season, where players compete to build the most thriving village. Keyflower combines familiar game mechanics including tile-laying, auctions, worker placement and resource management to create a sublime gaming experience, featuring multiple routes to victory and interesting choices to be made on every turn. We think Keyflower is one of the best strategy games released in years, featuring beautiful components and great levels of player interaction. For more information, check out the video reviews from Ryan Metzler of the Dice Tower and Joel Eddy of DriveThru Reviews.
