Anatomy of a Wyrmling!!!
A bit of explanation about the Wyrmlings, aka, the Baby Giratina of my Obsidian Mew AU.
So! To start with, the babies are not physical beings. Rather, they're energy beings, formed from Ruler's power, and gain experience and grow inside the Distortion Realm. They start real itty bitty, about a foot long, and grow slowly. They look and feel like smoke, and their wings and spikes are simply mimics of Ruler and their older siblings' shells.
What do they eat, you may ask?
Well, they eat energy!!! :D
That's right, these little guys love to eat energy! Gaia energy is tasty, but they love to eat corrupted energy! They're able to consume and convert it safely into their own bodies, which let's them grow their physical shells as they age. They're like cleaner fish, nibbling off the bad energy from older siblings that come back to the realm, or nibble from portals and pools as they can't leave the Distortion Realm.
They would dissipate if they did, their bodies unable to differentiate between their "selves" and the "world". Without an achor they'd return to being plain old energy. Older Giratina gain a physical shell which protects them from that, but it takes about 50 or so years for that to form naturally.
There are exceptions, but it's mainly a difference of experience gaining.

In the world of Pokemon, what Pokemon would be part of Ganondorfs (Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Hyrule Warriors, and Tears of the Kingdom) & Demise's team?
Ganondorf and Demise are power-hungry rulers with dark, imposing personas, so their Pokémon teams would reflect their dominant, destructive, and regal natures. Each version of Ganondorf has unique qualities, which can be represented through carefully selected Pokémon, while Demise’s team would embody pure primal power.
Wind Waker Ganondorf’s Pokémon Team
Gyarados (Water/Flying)
Gyarados, a sea monster known for its rage and destructive nature, mirrors Wind Waker Ganondorf’s mastery of the seas and his tempestuous personality. Both are associated with vast oceans and terrifying power.
Honchkrow (Dark/Flying)
Honchkrow, known as the "Big Boss" Pokémon, suits Wind Waker Ganondorf's role as a calculated, patient villain. Honchkrow is cunning, loyal to its mob, and exudes an air of quiet menace, which matches Ganondorf’s demeanor in Wind Waker.
Sharpedo (Water/Dark)
Sharpedo represents Ganondorf’s pirate-like nature, cutting through the seas with ferocity. Its sharp fangs and ruthless attacks echo Ganondorf’s conquest across the Great Sea.
Aegislash (Steel/Ghost)
Aegislash represents Ganondorf’s ancient ties to the past and the legends of Hyrule. A living sword and shield, Aegislash embodies honor and power, but also hints at Ganondorf’s dark legacy and connection to ancient battles.
Lunala (Psychic/Ghost)** - Legendary**
Lunala’s ghostly, bat-like form and connection to the moon fits the ethereal and mysterious atmosphere of Wind Waker’s world. Lunala’s ability to tap into the night and moonlight embodies Ganondorf’s subtle, looming presence, always watching and planning from the shadows.
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf’s Pokémon Team
Hydreigon (Dark/Dragon)
Hydreigon’s relentless destructive tendencies and tyrannical behavior make it perfect for Ocarina of Time Ganondorf. The three-headed dragon wreaks havoc like Ganondorf does, leaving destruction in its wake as a force of chaos and evil.
Tyranitar (Rock/Dark)
Tyranitar is a fearsome beast known for causing landslides and destroying entire mountains—just as Ganondorf brings devastation to Hyrule. Its sheer strength and unrelenting nature reflect the force Ganondorf brings to his enemies.
Cofagrigus (Ghost)
Cofagrigus, an ancient sarcophagus Pokémon, symbolizes Ganondorf’s connection to the past, the ancient Gerudo tribe, and his transformation into the Demon King. It’s haunting and embodies a cursed, dark history.
Giratina (Origin Forme) (Ghost/Dragon) - Legendary
Giratina’s association with antimatter, the Distortion World, and its rebellious nature against the creator of its universe makes it perfect for Ocarina of Time Ganondorf. Giratina represents his desire to reshape Hyrule in his own image and his dark ambitions to overthrow the gods themselves.
Houndoom (Dark/Fire)
Houndoom, with its hellish design and fiery attacks, mirrors Ganondorf’s malevolent aura. It evokes fear, just as Ganondorf does, and its loyalty to its master mirrors the power Ganondorf commands over his forces.
Twilight Princess Ganondorf’s Pokémon Team
Dusknoir (Ghost)
Dusknoir, the Grim Reaper-like Pokémon, suits Twilight Princess Ganondorf’s sinister and dark design. Dusknoir’s role as a soul guide to the afterlife represents Ganondorf’s control over dark, unnatural forces.
Zoroark (Dark)
Zoroark’s illusion ability mirrors Ganondorf’s manipulative side and how he often tricks others, like Zant, into doing his bidding. It fits Ganondorf’s role as a schemer hiding in the shadows, pulling strings until the time is right.
Golurk (Ground/Ghost)
Golurk is a towering, ancient construct bound by ancient magic, much like Ganondorf’s own connection to dark magic. Its heavy, earth-shattering attacks suit Twilight Princess Ganondorf’s brutal approach to power.
Darkrai (Dark) - Legendary
Darkrai is a nightmare-inducing Pokémon, making it perfect for the version of Ganondorf that revels in darkness and terror. Its presence in the shadows and ability to bring nightmares fits perfectly with Twilight Princess Ganondorf’s twisted and cruel ambitions.
Weavile (Dark/Ice)
Weavile’s swift, cunning strikes and sharp, icy claws mirror Ganondorf’s cold and calculating nature. It’s a fast, strategic attacker that embodies his sharp intellect and ruthlessness.
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf’s Pokémon Team
Zekrom (Dragon/Electric) - Legendary
Zekrom, a Pokémon that represents ideals and immense destructive power, aligns with Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf’s ambitious and larger-than-life presence. Zekrom’s power of lightning and its connection to ancient legends are fitting for Ganondorf’s godlike status.
Volcarona (Bug/Fire)
Volcarona, the sun Pokémon, aligns with the burning passion and destructive fire that Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf brings to the battlefield. It’s a Pokémon tied to legendary status and ancient myths, just like Ganondorf.
Bisharp (Dark/Steel)
Bisharp, a sharp and ruthless fighter with a knight-like appearance, embodies Ganondorf’s tactical prowess and leadership in commanding armies. Its dual types reflect his cunning strategies combined with brute strength.
Conkeldurr (Fighting)
Conkeldurr, a brute with unmatched strength and control over construction materials, represents Ganondorf’s power to physically overwhelm his enemies and reshape the battlefield to his advantage.
Magnezone (Electric/Steel)
Magnezone’s futuristic design and incredible control over magnetism reflect Ganondorf’s ability to manipulate powerful energies and technology in Hyrule Warriors. Its electric attacks match his lightning-like powers and destructive energy.
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf’s Pokémon Team
Dragapult (Dragon/Ghost)
Dragapult’s ghostly dragon nature represents the duality of Ganondorf’s existence in Tears of the Kingdom, caught between ancient power and the modern world. Its speed and power align with his status as an elite, nearly unstoppable force.
Corviknight (Flying/Steel)
Corviknight, a powerful, armored bird, symbolizes Ganondorf’s regal and imposing presence. Its ability to soar through the skies while wrapped in steel armor fits with his role as a dark conqueror.
Necrozma (Psychic) - Legendary
Necrozma’s ability to absorb light and become something greater aligns with Ganondorf’s thirst for power and transformation. Necrozma’s role as a legendary force of light and darkness parallels Ganondorf’s manipulation of both good and evil forces.
Grimmsnarl (Dark/Fairy)
Grimmsnarl’s sinister, fairy-like nature and its ability to use its hair as a weapon matches Ganondorf’s manipulation of dark magic in Tears of the Kingdom. It’s a reflection of his otherworldly strength and command over darkness.
Garchomp (Dragon/Ground)
Garchomp is a destructive, dragon-like Pokémon that represents Ganondorf’s immense physical strength and his ability to dominate both land and air. Its brutal combat style mirrors Ganondorf’s relentless nature as a warlord.
Demise’s Pokémon Team
Primal Groudon (Ground/Fire) - Legendary
Primal Groudon, a Pokémon associated with land and intense heat, mirrors Demise’s fiery, primal nature. It represents the destruction Demise brings wherever he goes, with the ability to reshape the very earth.
Charizard (Fire/Flying)
Charizard, a dragon-like Pokémon that commands fire and power, reflects Demise’s dominance and his fiery personality. It is feared for its strength and destructive capabilities, much like Demise.
Aggron (Steel/Rock)
Aggron’s imposing presence and powerful defense align with Demise’s overwhelming physical strength. Aggron is a Pokémon that reshapes its environment, just as Demise seeks to reshape the world in his image.
Infernape (Fire/Fighting)
Infernape, a fiery and aggressive fighter, mirrors Demise’s combative and volatile nature. Its speed and raw power reflect his unrelenting desire for conquest and combat prowess.
Heatran (Fire/Steel)
Heatran’s magma-filled body and connection to fire represents the volcanic fury that Demise embodies. Heatran’s power over heat and destruction fits with Demise’s goal to raze everything in his path.
Each of these teams reflects the unique strengths, personalities, and desires of the different versions of Ganondorf and Demise. They would command powerful, intimidating Pokémon that embody their lust for conquest, dominance, and destruction.

Sorry for the late response! Finally finished though and very happy with the result!
When I was thinking about what a Mimikyu/Giratina fusion would look like my kind of went in the direction of a Coraline-Button-Eyes-Doll thing. Just a really creepy falling apart vibe. Whether it’s a true fusion or simply a Mimikyu dressing up to look like Giratina can be up for debate. I headcanon Mimikyu as one of those Pokémon that dress up to look like any Pokémon, not just Pikachu, that’s popular or someone’s favorite as it craves attention and love. Although I imagine it going around dressed as the ruler of the distortion world would probably instill more fear than anything. Unless the one who sees it is me evidently! I absolutely would be the fool who tries to catch and befriend this thing!😆 All in all I love this guy and how he turned out. Might try to draw Origin Form later as well!
Thank you for the prompt!

Kittsu Universe Worldbuilding
Information on Kittsu’s universe that may or may not come up
Main Thing
Kittsu’s Universe throws a hissy fit when the “laws” are not followed, this leads to odd discrepancies between Kittsu and characters’ worlds, even if they’ve met in person.
For example, if someone Kittsu’s met in real life had an encounter with, say, a hyper destructive legendary that didn’t result in apocalypse; they would be able to meet in person again, but the events of that legendary encounter would have been as if it never happened on Kittsu’s end.
Kyogre could be awakened on @/thatfailedpokemontrainer, and even though Kittsu and Sprite are established to be in the same universe, the event would have no evidence of occurring when Kittsu tries to investigate. If both parties are there and see the destruction, the world around them will warp nauseatingly until the universal discrepancy is cleared up.
———————————————————————
Sapient Pokémon are rare, but not impossible
Infinity Energy is on Crack
Infinity Energy is raw power translated into infinite forms. Arceus is raw Infinity Energy, and its existence is what created the universe. It’s like atoms and all the matter that makes up the world, but the things that it comes together to create can control it to some degree. It tends to “clump” around certain beings or areas, which is what makes the 18 understandable typings.
Legendary and (some) Mythical Pokémon are Gods. Eldritch scary gods.
As an example; Cosmog, the absolute weakest legendary Pokémon, is a large ball of gas that holds knowledge of the multiverse and infinity. It’s rather unimpressive for a god, but it’s terrifying nonetheless, as entering the cloud is rumored to immediately break people’s minds and conscience. It’s a cloud of pure knowledge that instakills you. And that’s the absolute weakest god. Pray lmao.
Gods’ Power is based on the Infinity Energy that clumps around them
Due to the nature of Infinity Energy, the more clumped it gets around a certain thing makes it have more impact on surrounding Infinity Energy of all forms. Kyogre and Groudon started as regular pokemon that became so warped and surrounded by Infinity Energy that they turned into embassies of the Land and Sea itself.
The Infinity Energy that makes them gods changed them from relatively small creatures to divine deities that stand at 443057.28cm tall (roughly half the total height of Mt. Everest)
Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina are the single three most concentrated clumps of Infinity Energy. They exist purely in their own pocket dimension, because if they were to make an appearance in the mortal realm, the universe itself could break from the utter strain. Any of them even opening a small portal to see what’s going on with mortals would turn the entirety of the world into a Space Time Distortion until they leave.
Mythical Pokémon are typically rulers of concepts
Meloetta is the god of Music’s effect on emotions, Victini is the god of victory, Diance is the god of Royalty, etc, etc
The primary exception is Mew; the god of Mortality as a whole. It is thought to be the single most powerful Pokémon incapable of producing a pocket dimension.
Human-Pokémon hybrids are impossible
Humans, biologically, are in an egg group entirely seperate from all other mortal species. They are the only known creature to have live young (aside from Mew, but shsh) and are 100% unable to have a Hybrid child in any natural way
Ethically, artificially created hybrids are known to have debilitating health issues, that at best let them live to 10 years old. Humans have a lack of control over Infinity Energy, and Pokémon have a lot of control; meaning that the hybrid’s body will always either suffer a lack of energy or an abundance of energy they cannot physically handle. Overall, it’s not worth even trying.
Ghost type pokemon are made of the energy of several souls past
All Pokémon have an “Infinite” organ that holds the majority of their Infinity Energy. Espeon is a primary example of a semi-exposed Infinite Organ
The game storylines that have canonically occurred:
Pokémon RBGY
Pokémon Crystal (minus the catching Suicune)
Pokémon Diamond (based on another blog’s events)
Pokémon Black/White2
Pokémon X
Pokémon Moon
PLA

In the giratina possession au, does Emmet tell anyone he saw Ingo again while in Sinnoh, or does he try and handle That and the second argument by himself?
Emmet does not tell anyone initially that he's found Ingo, no!
Part of it is because he's not even sure why he's still in Sinnoh when Ingo seems to have made it clear he wants nothing to do with him. He should just leave and forget the whole thing. He doesn't want to get anyone's hopes up because they know Ingo walking out of their lives has had an impact on them too. He makes up an excuse for why he's staying in Sinnoh for a few more days.
And then after... well. Especially once he gets the whole story, it's... a lot to take in. It's hard to believe, even if Emmet's seen proof. Certainly, there are stories about people being possessed by ghost Pokemon, but... by Giratina? The ruler of the distortion world? And on top of that, there's time travel involved? It's a lot to take in! He's not even sure how to begin telling them!
Eventually, he DOES tell them that he's found Ingo and they've... reconciled, and that he's bringing him home but uh. He sort of doesn't tell them about any of the other stuff. What he DOES do is send them a selfie of himself and Ingo and Akari at the Sinnoh airport and then turn off his phone. Nice job Emmet. You're doing great!
#asks#giratina possession au#submas#everyone emmet sent the photo to sending him a million texts like HELLO#WHY DOES INGO HAVE RED EYES NOW????#IS THAT THE FORMERLY MISSING CHAMPION OF SINNOH???? EMMET???

More than one Monarch (DP AU)
(dp hyper fixation go)
So you know the ghost zone, the 'flip side' of the physical world, portals to different dimensions, time, and space. The Infinite Realms basically exist anywhere/anytime in creation. Who says there aren't various rulers in other 'corners' of the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms. You have beings like Dora and Frostbite who rule 'areas/islands' in the Ghost Zone, why not beings who rule a 'realm' in the Inifinite 'Realms' Look I just want Danny (little baby man, eldritch being, the one everyone adopts) Phantom to meet other "Undead" Rulers. And possibly get adopted/learn from them. Currently, the main one I have is Giratina, another unwilling ruler of the Distortion Realm. Another Eldritch snake being that was banished to the Distortion Realm for being too violent. (Unfair obviously, why can Palkia be Dialga fight and destroy places but when Giratina does it they’re too violent and need to be banished?? this is a joke) So possibly mellowed out after being there for so long but still hates some beings, and is wary of humans.
They could meet before Danny’s coronation while he’s exploring the ghost zone, or after, but in my head they meet before. Danny would show up unintentionally as always (since the fruitloop sent him into a portal with a one-time spell to be “banished” into the Distortion for a 'time out'). And while this place is in the ghost zone, there aren’t any other ghosts around, and this place looks different from the normal ghost zone, until he runs into Giratina. Gira is totally a menace and would battle Danny for entering their domain, but they would be more testing the waters of this being, seeing for his intent. Since the “Distortion” is more closely linked to the “living side”, any damage to that place can affect the other side. So other beings are warned off (vibe checked) by Giratina most of the time. Giratina would be impressed by the sheer gall of the boy willing to fistfight a God and his ability to learn on the fly, which would allow him access to the Distortion Realm with good intentions. Teach him how to fight with more than just his fists, he has a tail, and why limit to just his hands? And how to weave his intangibility into his fighting. Also giving a safe space since all Danny has to do is speak “Giratina” into any reflective surface and a portal to the Distortion Realm will open for him. (Clockwork would definitely appreciate and respect Giratina and vice versa for being willing to mentor the goblin child)
(You tell me that Danny doesn’t have the attitude to realize he’s fighting some eldritch being and still try to punch it anyways.)

Greetings all who see!!
My name is Oblivion! However, if that is difficult to remember, Blivie is an acceptable alternative.
My Trainer and adoptive daughter is @trainerlynda. I allowed her to capture me in a master ball so no random 10 year old human catches me, as I have seen it happen before.
I go by He/They/It pronouns, and lead the Giratina of my sector of the Distortion World, they are quite rowdy.
I am mainly here to watch humans interact, as that is one of my favorite pass times. Human culture fascinates me, so I wish to observe those around me without making too much of a stir.
I have appeared on my daughter's account here and there, so this is where I got the idea to make one of my own! Sometimes I walk around in a humanoid form to keep those at ease, which is what my profile picture is!
At least until I get a better picture of myself. Cameras can be quite finicky in the Distortion world… sometimes they function, sometimes they refuse.
//Ask games Blivie has reblogged and that are currently active. Asks directed towards pokemon. Never Have I Ever! Pelipper Mail.
//Ooc more info under the cut!
//This is a sideblog! Unreality. Mod is an adult and goes by she/her he/him pronouns All art I use is my own! I follow from @theshadowqueenofthedistortion, more info about me on my main! Here's some of my other accounts as well!
//Semi-Serious blog, I will participate in active silliness and also write serious stuff. Will sometimes touch on death, abuse and a few other things, I will tag the serious stuff with their appropriate tw/cw tags.
//I will not ship with anyone who isn't my BF, just for my comfort. This universe is a mix of pokemon and abunch of other things, if he goes to hang out with someone they'll likely go there with a portal.
//I am very open to crossover stuff!
//Oblivion will speak in a rather thesaurus heavy fashion most of the time, as he mainly knows big words. Sometimes he will fix his grammar to make himself more understandable, but for the most part he speaks with big words.
//Pokemon in their universe have human levels of sentience, however it is aware of places that have Pokemon that aren't sentient, so he won't find that odd.
//Real life animals exist along side Pokemon in his universe, like divergent evolution (not the pokemon thing, the science thing)
//What the tags mean. //Shadow Mod Speaks: Mod speaking. //Mod Reference: Me and/or Zorana making references for this account //Shadow Art: Art by me that isn't a ref/finished. Blivie's Curiosity: His post/response tag. The Oblivion Ruler: Closed and/or serious RP. I will also use this tag when responding seriously to something. Distorted Musings: When Blivie is mainly talking to himself. Open to responses, but he isn't talking at anyone.

SO i think it'd make a bit more sense if i made my thoughts on legends zygarde post *after* i share what some of my predictions for legends arceus were, because... CONTEXT ! So, we knew that it was ancient sinnoh... that there were pokemon going berserk... that people were terrified of pokemon What did I chalk that up to? I thought it might be interesting if... atop Mt. Coronet... sits Arceus. Metaphorically, perhaps. Still, arceus watches over humans and pokemon; its two prized creations ...and yet, it is not simply a being of pure kindness, as the god of the pokemon world It is in fact, afraid. It has observed its creations since the inception of time, but now it sees that people and pokemon are ... becoming closer. Arceus fears what may happen if humans and pokemon are to mix together in society. It cannot see this going well... So what is the best way to drive them away from each other? Make sure people are afraid of pokemon. Make some of the closest, noblest pokemon in hisui... rampage. That way, people and pokemon can stay separated, and there runs no risk of abuse. and in the game, you'd ... assume that this is probably giratinas fault, heck maybe you'd even spend some of the game looking at legends and tales of a being of antimatter... one that is Evil and was banished to a world all by itself, for being so cruel. One of mighty sinnohs traitors Though... i was also really wondering if we'd get to SEE giratina be banished into the distortion world by arceus ...doesnt really add up with the prior theory though lol so heres some extended ideas that kinda merge the ideas i think it'd be cool if perhaps... arceus was actually calling upon giratina to frenzy the nobles, and thus it would seem that giratina is doing it. and then arceus throws it under the bus and blames it... then you find out it was arceus, and it unbanishes giratina and admits that perhaps it was too afraid, that the world of people and pokemon... do deserve to progress. that you have shown it how they can work together to accomplish great things, and arceus doesnt feel that it needs to fear anymore but after that temporary banishment? after being used as a tool and ending up being blamed for destruction of almighty sinnohs world? Giratina doesn't even want to. It goes to the distortion realm of its own volition, as it would prefer to not have its actions be dictated by a ruler so spineless that it cannot own up to its own misdeeds towards its creations.
does that not go hard??? i have to get going but if this gets like, any notes at all, ill talk more about it. and either way, ill talk about my thoughts on where PL Z-A is headed

The pitch black void where Rei/Akari/The player meet Arceus before entering the game's world of Hisui is The Distortion World.
Giratina dragged its marks into the Distortion World where they wandered for an indeterminate amount of time. The Distortion World in turn messes with the people that enter it, as it is theorized to be the anti-matter parallel mirror to its paired counterpart of the material world. And of course matter interacting with anti-matter (the fictional version of anti-matter mind you) will always have consequences.
(wow, it's almost as if the distortion world is some kind of underworld/after-life analogy that might explain how people and items can become pokemon. or how some pokemon become entirely different variations of pokemon by being distorted and twisted. how the world of the dead might twist the living and even its own ruler *cough cough* though that's a headcanon for another time)
Someone forced to wander the Distortion World for a long time might for example find themselves loosing their memories (points at MC & Ingo who are both very disoriented & have varying degrees of memory loss). Or maybe you'd find yourself fragmented into different parts or versions of yourself that reflect your views on yourself which also reflects back onto "the real world" (see: character creation and the rival character, for example.)
And when you wander the Distortion World long enough - a place outside of the realms space and time, might I remind you - you stumble through one of its cracks where the worlds of matter and anti-matter intersect for but a moment on their streams toward infinity. You fall through the void between the worlds.
And only then can Arceus interfere. It may not be able to return you to your original world and timeline, it is after all, not all powerful despite its status as The Original One and abilities of creation. Arceus may create concepts, pokemon, and possibly worlds but it holds no direct control over them.
So, what it can do, for a moment, is to guide you. Give you - the player and the character - a purpose when you have likely lost so much of your "self" already - of the champion that once managed to earn Arceus' respect and favor in battle.
And the crack in the space-time-continuum that looms above Mount Coronet like the Crow of the World, connecting this reality to the distorted mirror dimension, spits you out.
Miraculously unharmed, like an act of apology by a creature that is assigned more power than it holds, you open your eyes in a world that is not your own.
Displaced in space and time through the distorted world that is not slave to these forces. Displaced by a man and a pokemon unendingly desperate and vengeful for being forsaken, cursed, by one they once revered.

Oh my... you may want to turn on your flashlight, dear...
*click*
Hi Ruler! :D
Ahem!
May I present, the Aspect Ruler of Antimatter, Giratina! Aka "Ruler" or "Lord", as I've dubbed them, since they are the pinnacle of all Giratina and as such, have a proper title.
Ruler is the God and Aspect of Antimatter, born a triplet from the blood that spilled when Arceus created the Heart of Gaia, Mew. While their siblings fought over Space and Time to see who would rule which (as they are twins and hard to separate from each other), Giratina took the Aspect of Antimatter and decided to live away from their siblings' bickering.
As a result, they now live in and rule over the Distortion Realm, a place outside of space and time, but with access to the mortal world still.
Their duty is to keep the realm stable, managing the portals and making sure those two idiots (Palkia and Dialga) don't tear apart space and time in their endless bickering.
Now! For the fun part!
All those little Giratina you see are mere drops formed out of Ruler's power, called Sub-Rulers or, the Legendaries you can catch and tame. Rulers themselves cannot be caught and tamed, not even with a Master Ball. How do you even catch or contain a concept, after all?
What you see is just what your brain can handle without frying. Since Sub-Rulers take a form that will help them best in their realm, your brain takes the image of the Sub-Rulers and applies it to a Ruler, forming what you can see without your brain frying from divine power. If a little different, because you instinctively know that a Ruler is something more.
At worst, all you see is a ball of light. At best, you see the image above. Make sense?
Ruler never leaves the Distortion Realm, most Rulers never even leave their domain. Arceus stays in a realm outside of reach, Palkia and Dialga are everywhere and nowhere all at once, Yveltal stays in the realm of the Dead, Xerneas wanders the realm of Creation, Rayquaza holds up the sky, etc etc. You get the idea. They all have Sub-Rulers to manage parts of their world with a lil bit of their power, which explains why you can have multiple Legendaries running about with Trainers.
(It's always exciting when someone comes home to the others and tells their tale.)
Sub-Rulers are also not fully immortal, maxing out around 1000 years old or so, before they return to their Ruler and are shuffled off to Xerneas and Yveltal for either eternal rest or reincarnation depending. (Arceus is a bit busy managing things to handle reincarnation unless something serious pops up.)
I am also going to point out that Sidia is an exception due to being made out of a God's flesh, but not given an Aspect to ascend to true godhood. She is a Demi-God, you could say, meant to take care of Gaia-Earth's energy streams and core. (Her world is called Gaia.) She is immortal, yes, but she can still get hurt and captured.

I GOT YOU SIBLING! PREPARE FOR THE POKEMON AU!
Young Friends and Pretend Date Mates
In the picturesque region of Sinnoh, nestled among rolling hills and vibrant meadows, Adria Nakatomi grew up surrounded by the love and care of her parents, the Daycare Couple. Their home, a charming cottage adjacent to the Pokémon Daycare, was always filled with the joyful sounds of Pokémon and laughter. Adria, with her boundless energy and love for Pokémon, was a bright beacon in this tranquil environment.
From a young age, Adria was inseparable from a boy named Cyrus, who lived nearby. Cyrus was quiet and contemplative, often lost in thought, a stark contrast to Adria's exuberance. Despite their differences, they formed a close bond, spending countless hours exploring the countryside, caring for Pokémon, and sharing their dreams.
On sunny afternoons, they would embark on adventures through the fields, pretending to be the greatest Pokémon Trainers in the world. Adria's infectious enthusiasm always brought a smile to Cyrus's face, while his calm demeanor balanced her spirited nature. One of their favorite pastimes was playing "pretend dates," where they would imagine going on grand journeys together, facing challenges and overcoming obstacles as a team.
Paths Diverge
As they grew older, life began to pull them in different directions. Adria's parents encouraged her to start her own Pokémon journey, and at the age of 11, she received her first Pokémon, a Chimchar she lovingly named Fire Tail. However, she waited until she was 12, so she could start her journey alongside her younger sibling Warden, who had chosen a Piplup named Emperor.
Cyrus, on the other hand, became increasingly withdrawn, obsessed with his quest for knowledge and power. He distanced himself from Adria, believing that human emotions were a hindrance to achieving true greatness. Despite their growing apart, Adria never forgot the boy who had been her closest friend.
Reunited as Enemies
Years passed, and Adria's journey took her far and wide. She became the Champion of Sinnoh and eventually Alola, earning a reputation as a fierce yet compassionate Trainer. Meanwhile, Cyrus founded Team Galactic, with a plan to create a new world devoid of spirit and emotion.
Their paths crossed once more when Cyrus's schemes threatened the very fabric of Sinnoh. Adria, now a seasoned Champion, stood as a formidable obstacle in his way. They faced off in a climactic battle, their childhood memories clashing with their current realities. Despite their conflicting goals, a part of Adria still saw the boy she had once known in Cyrus's eyes.
A Desperate Alliance
Cyrus's ambition led to the catastrophic summoning of Giratina, the ruler of the Distortion World. The legendary Pokémon, enraged by its forceful summoning, threatened to wreak havoc on Sinnoh. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Adria and Cyrus were forced to set aside their differences and work together to calm Giratina.
Their combined strength and strategic prowess eventually subdued Giratina, preventing disaster. During their ordeal, they rekindled a semblance of their old friendship. Cyrus, despite his cold exterior, couldn't help but admire Adria's unwavering determination and kindness. Adria, in turn, saw glimpses of the thoughtful boy she had once cared for, hidden beneath his hardened exterior.
Unspoken Feelings
In the aftermath of the chaos, Cyrus found himself grappling with unfamiliar emotions. He was drawn to Adria in a way that both intrigued and terrified him. His rational mind fought against these feelings, deeming them a weakness, but his heart was slowly beginning to thaw.
Adria, too, felt a deep fondness for Cyrus. She saw the potential for redemption within him, believing that the boy she had once loved was still there, buried beneath layers of ambition and pain. Their shared experience had forged a fragile connection, one that held the promise of something more.
An Uncertain Future
As they parted ways once more, Adria couldn't help but hope that Cyrus might find his way back to the light. She believed in the power of redemption and knew that, given time, even the darkest hearts could change. Cyrus, though conflicted, carried a piece of Adria's unwavering spirit with him, a reminder of the bond they had shared.
Their story was far from over, but for now, they walked separate paths, each carrying the memory of a childhood friendship that had withstood the test of time and adversity.
