The neighborhoods of City Q.
You slide into the passenger seat of the parked cruiser waiting for you, however, the captain doesn’t follow suit. After Roly hops into the back seat, you’re greeted with the captain tapping on your window,
“You thought I was going to give you the tour? Shucks, I have to get back to work, kid. Tama will help you get your bearings around here. Tama, play nice with this rookie, no tricks or anything.”
You look to your left and you see a woman, about your age, and she flashes a toothy smile. You notice she has jet black hair with two lumps at the top of her head, and she has long pointed nails. The color of her eyes is this lemon-lime green that you can’t help but feel they’re somewhat menacing. You shake off your feelings of unease just as the car begins to pull away. The uniformed woman looks to you with a frown and she finally speaks to you,
“What? Cat got your tongue? My name’s Tama, and Cap assigned me to give you a tour. I’m fairly sure you already know the names of each neighborhood, so I’ll let you chose where you want to head to first.”

Behold: another meme
-
Trying out Numnaut’s original lip color and I think I like it? (Edit: Actually, I think orange looks better.) Also at the end I knew I had to include P, but I felt bad that she was basically just a potato so I added some fluff and a more defined head/body shape, but I might tweak it some more later. Also kinda tweaked Vega’s design a bit too since it was bugging me.
I’ll be posting the icon-thingies I drew specifically for this sort of meme on their own later since I’m quite happy with how they turned out (particularly Beaky).

Co-Pilots! Conceptual ones, anyway. On the left is Vega, Vognaut’s co-pilot. On the right is Ruffayette (like Lafayette), Numnaut’s co-pilot. Personalities are currently in development, but for the moment:
Vega is stoic, very cunning and logical, preferring to stick to facts than make theories and isn’t afraid of getting her paws dirty (but if given the choice would definitely prefer not to). She and Vognaut were thick as thieves, and when she died (I think that’s what happened to her), Vognaut was devastated. He swore to never get another co-pilot as long as he called himself an Astronaut and keeps a picture of her in his chest-pocket. She loved swimming but hated cherries.
Ruffayette is very “go with the flow”, and often gets lost in thought daydreaming. A hidden side to them is their nihilistic nature, and not much scares or troubles them because of that except for the sound of thunder. Numnaut dyes their wool various colors a lot and it’s fun for both of them. They loathe getting wet and love eating, and they’re up for giving anything a try. Their current status is unknown.
Feel free to tell me if they did have official names/designs, but even if they do, I have to admit to a bias to preferring these ones...

Welcome to City Q.
Hey there, if you’ve stumbled upon this blog, or if you came here with a purpose, that’s great! My name is Mags, and I’ll be your city guide for the time being.
City Q. first and foremost, is a homebrew setting for Golden Sky Stories, a very fun and exciting roleplaying game. Your main goal isn’t to beat anyone up, but to solve small, every day problems with the help of your friends. I think you already know that though, if you’re staring at this page.
Without further adieu, let’s get into the content of Golden Sky Stories: Little Trouble in the Big City
Introductions are in order:
Rise and shine, sleepy head! You’ve got a big day ahead of you. You’re still unpacking a load of boxes, the only furniture around you is your bed, a night stand, and a dog bed of all things. As a matter of fact, your best friend is the one who woke you up by jumping on you. Yes, you were offered a job in City Q. as a police officer, and your friend Roly was hand picked to be with you in the K-9 unit. You look out the window to see the surrounding apartment complexes and townhouses circling one big park. All the roads that leas in and out of the neighborhood join to make one big roundabout. Yes, you’re in Ruffayette, and you feel a sense of pride. You’ve heard about it so many times and now, you get to live here.
Your first day on the job is exciting. You and Roly get to take a tour to learn about the new home you swore to protect and serve with the utmost loyalty. You reach city square and awaiting you inside the police station is a tall proud looking man, who suddenly seems to crouch down to his knees at the sight of Roly, and your friend rushes over to the uniformed person, who begins to play with your friend. This man fits the description you’ve been given. This here is Captain Saotome. The captain waves you over, and you give a small nod before walking across the floor of the immaculate looking station.
“Welcome to City Q, rookie. I assume you’re ready for your grand tour now? How did you sleep? I hope your ride wasn’t a rough one. Not to worry, traffic here isn’t all that bad. Now let’s get a move on, we need you in the know by tomorrow for your first day on duty.”
